you think you’re prepared for the enormity of the sandwiches until you actually see it and you’re confronted with an absolute colossal behemoth. we tried both of their famous sandwiches , the table (added stracciatella, although couldn’t really taste it at all 😕) and the spicy vodka chicken parm sub — they were very different and both DELICIOUS, but i think i preferred the chicken parm just a tiny bit more. the vodka sauce is actually insane , I NEED IT ON EVERYTHING. it’s got a bit of a spice to give it a kick, just a hint of sweetness from the tomato, and it was just so creamy and rich and it made every bite so so so much better. the chicken cutlets (plural) they used in the sandwiches were also super tender and moist, and didn’t even taste dry after eating a bunch which is super impressive.
the vodka chicken parm had melty cheese, a soft fluffy bun/roll, and the basil gave quite an intense green, earthy, herby taste that balanced the meaty chicken and savoury sauce. seriously drown it in vodka sauce.
the table was also super great, and was more like your classic italian sandwich. not only did it have MASSIVE chicken cutlets, it was also stuffed with delicate, salty, silky prosciutto, which went well with the bright-tasting, fresh arugula, sweet tomato, and mozzarella. the focaccia was also super fluffy and had a light, aromatic rosemary fragrance. i wish i could taste the balsamic glaze a bit more, i think a sweet component would’ve really elevated the sandwich. honestly it was so big that it was hard to enjoy all the flavours at once unless i absolutely unhinged my jaw. also drown this in vodka sauce !
