Taco Bell Cantina

Come here, if you like eating absolute garbage. One of the most disgusting Taco Bell in the Chicago area. I ordered a Luxe box containing a Cheesy Gordita, a crunchy taco, chips & nacho cheese, and a Baja Blast. While the price was better compared to surrounding areas, do not be fooled. The workers ignore you when picking up your food, it feels like you have to wave right at them for them to notice you even then you may not be lucky. When I dined in, the chips were oily, and could not force myself to eat them. The cheesy Gordita shell was hard and a little burnt instead of soft and warm. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Yet the ingredients were not fresh, and seemed they were expired. On top of that, I noticed I was missing a crunchy taco. I was going to tell them but changed my mind after realizing it was going to be made with horrible ingredients. I rather eat dirt, than eat here again. I could feel the oil and the disgusting taste in my mouth. The only good thing about this Taco Bell was the Baja Blast. Do not come here, do not waste your time like I did. Take your business somewhere else until management prioritizes basic customer service and fresh ingredients.

HORRIBLE experience do NOT go here!!! My food was severely undercooked. My Mexican pizza was smashed… when I told the worker he accused me of ruining the food and had a horrible attitude while re-making it. After that, it was still so undercooked I couldn’t eat it. Had to throw it away. Half the tacos were supposed to be beef and half beans… instead all the tacos were beans.2 items were completely missing. I’m confused how this location is still open. The establishment was so dirty, workers were horrifically rude, and the food was not edible. I love Taco Bell but this was disgusting. I had to call and get a refund for everything because nothing was edible!!!!

It is a run down restaurant that doesn't smell good and has homeless people camping out inside. It took almost 20 minutes to get my food when there were only 2 orders ahead of me.

I would avoid this location if you can. The inside is falling apart and gross.

I always liked eating crunchy Tacos from Taco Bell. It's still a guilty pleasure for me to this day. You can not go wrong with their classic beef Tacos. I can eat 10 of those easily. However, some of their new items are hit or miss. I tried their protein bowl (chicken), which was okay. Bland but passible. Their grilled Steak Burrito is another story. It was nasty and the steak was too chewy and rubbery. The cheese couldn't save that thing. I thought I was going to be disgusted by the Mexican Pizza too, but I'll be the first to say that I was shocked by how good it tasted. Overall, I recommend Taco Bell because of their ground beef. Avoid any of the other food that doesn't have their beef because they aren't as good. Glad to have a location downtown. I like to have cheat meals that every now and then aren't necessarily the healthiest, but that I still like because of how the food tastes. Live mas right?

This Taco Bell is absolute garbage. First off, one employee was rude to us telling us to leave even though we placed a mobile order and were simply waiting. We ordered the 3 Doritos locos tacos combo and even double checked to make sure it was being made with beans instead of beef and they still put beef on 2/3 tacos. The cheese in the nacho cheese sauce cup was basically empty. My quesadilla had barely melted cheese. We also ordered 2 fiesta potato’s and they didn’t put any in the bag. This was an awful experience and I would like to talk to someone to get a refund or some compensation on our order considering how bad it was messed up.

the only reason this location is getting 2 stars is because of the atmosphere. broken ordering screen, and when i was getting gatorade from the machine all i got was water. plus when i was making my way back to my table i almost slipped and fell because of the water on the floor. anyways the food was amazing

This spot is dirty. They need to do a better job cleaning this place. Also service was bad, I had to redo my order 2 times cause they kept messing it up.

The food here is exactly as you expect it to be.. hits the spot if you're having a fast food craving or everything else is closed. The people working there looked miserable. I put an add on in my Mexican pizza order, they didn't even bother to put it on my food or give it on the side. But of course, I still paid for it. I came late at night to pick it up and didn't realize until I got home to eat that they didn't include the add on. So if you're doing take out, don't bother pay for add ons unless you just want the extra charge for no reason. I needed to use the bathroom, but apparently they'd already closed it

If I could describe this Taco Bell in one word, I would choose "unwelcoming." This location is in the heart of the tourist district, but has very little to offer. We ordered at the kiosks, which I liked, but after ordered we learned that there was no ice. Our drinks were flat and lukewarm. The food was prepared according to our modifications, which was great, but was so sloppy. Items weren't wrapped, so the toppings slid off to the bottom of the bag, and sauces weren't applied evenly so half my tacos were super dry. The bathrooms were closed, the floors were so sticky that I had to make a serious effort to unstick my shoes after waiting for my food, and half the tables were closed off. The employees were in the backroom, with no one visible in the kitchen or at the counter to take orders. I get that they don't want to encourage loitering, but this was one of the worst Taco Bells I've ever to. It was just depressing, cold, and unwelcoming.

Horrible experience. Lazy workers. Locked us out and made us wait in the cold for our order even though dine in hours are until 5:30am. We showed up 4 HOURS before they were supposed to close. Management needs to make some changes with their staff because paying customers shouldn't have to be waiting for their food out in the cold. Just close earlier.

No ice, 3 employees, order from the kiosk...and no bathrooms while you wait 30 minutes for your "fast" food... this place is a disaster. Should have turned around when we saw the broken glass in the entryway. Beware, avoid this joint!

Can I give 0 stars?!? Was screamed at and cussed out because they were out of Pepsi and I politely asked if I could either get a refund or wait for them to change it out. Absolutely atrocious staff and a horrendously disproportionate response to the question I asked. You can only post photo reviews but luckily I have a recording of the whole deal which corroborates my account. You best believe that will be passed on to local management as well as corporate. Be safe when visiting this location!

Trust Taco Bell for late night cravings after party scenes. This has been our go-to spot since a while now. We usually order Cheese Quesadillas, Doritos Cheesy Gortida crunch and cheesy fiesta potatoes. The food is definitely unhealthy but good munchies after alcohol. I'm deducting a few stars as this place gets a bit shady late night and even if you order on online food apps, it takes a while to get delivered because the service is very slow. It's a great spot though to pick up/ get food delivered until 4 am late night.

I came into this taco bell. it was nasty. there was thugs everywhere and liquod all over the floor, it was very sticky. counters were sticky and there was no handle on the door so I was stuck outside for 5 minutes until someone let me in. I ordered my food. it was a small order but it took 15 or 20 minutes for them to make and there was one other person ordering. there was no drive thru just lazy workers. I finally got my food and it was ASS. I dont use this word lightly it was positively terrible. worst Taco Bell food I have ever had. Taco was way over seasoned I can still taste the sting of the salt on my lips. Burrito was horribly made and falling apart. and I swear they took a dump in the chips. How do you mess up chips!? I regretted immediately after going. NEVER GO TO THIS TACO BELL. it's more like Taco Hell!

We made a mobile order for this location. When we arrived, I saw a sign that said that the location had closed early without notice. I traveled all the way thinking that I would be able to get my food, but was unable to. This location appears to be unreliable and I would avoid it if possible.

Just got delivery and this place is amazing compared to the one on Randolph. Full fillings of soft tacos and even the crunch wrap supreme was good and filling / actuallly big which was the norm 10 years ago. This is my new fav Taco Bell! You won't be disappointed!

This was my first experience I've ever had at a Taco Bell cantina and it was a pretty good one. Food was pretty good, nothing to rave about but I enjoyed what I ordered. The restaurant itself was very clean and sanitary which was nice. Employees weren't the most friendly but they still got my food out in a timely manner. Overall, it was a pretty good experience and I would return again.

I used to come here for breakfast on my way to work, but that stops today. As usual I ordered my food on the app and planned to pick it up on my walk from my bus stop to work. A block away I get a notification that my food was ready. When I get to the door it's locked. I try going to the side door it's also locked. There doesn't seem to be anyone inside even though all the lights are on in the kitchen. There seemed to be some sort of construction or something going on cause there was ladders inside. Signs on the foor and everything said open and avaliable for pick up and carry out. Why was I allowed to order if the place is obviously not open?? In the process of trying to get a refund through the app. What a waste of time and money.

Was so excited to finally try one of these Cantinas out. I had rushed to a show downtown and not had dinner yet. We stopped by to grab a quick bite. Unfortunately even though the restaurant was open we are told after sitting down with our food at 10:30 we could not eat inside. So we stood outside in the cold watching the opened restaurant have customers come through. It showed them closing at midnight so we figured when we had ordered downtown in Chicago we had time to eat there. They should make it clear when ordering it's to go only. Probably many show goers and people stopping by between bars that intend to eat there when ordering.

I came here to this location on a trip to Chicago recently. It was one of the only places still open at that time, I'm not sure if it's purely because of COVID or the time of day, either way, I love a T-Bell so I wasn't too sad about it. This location has the touch screen, but I did make sure to pull out my hand sanitizer to touch the screen first. Better to be safe than sorry, right/ I quickly placed my order over the machine and even paid there. And then I waited for my order. This location was take out only. You cannot eat there at the time I was there. To be honest, I didn't get the vibe that it was the cleanest but I was trying not to let that get to me. I love my T-Bell regardless, right? Right? Eventually I was able to get my order and my drink cup, fill up my baja blast and be on my way. The guys working there were really friendly, I will say that and they tried to get the food out as quickly as possible. There was nothing wrong with my order and it was made just as I asked for it, so there were no complaints there. I do question when the floors have been mopped, but hey, I got my order!

Easily one of the best Taco Bell's in the country! The electronic ordering process and the cool vibes from the locals is just what this southern fella needed.

Came here for pickup during the COVID-19 crisis! Staff was really pleasant and the transaction was seamless. The store is really clean and the employees were wearing gloves. You're able to order online or through the app and i believe in person too. They lock the door though and I did have to knock pretty hard for them to see me since the kitchen / cashier area is pretty far from the door. My only qualm is that their online menus don't reflect the "cantina" menu items such as those nachos in my picture. :(

Manager (older Caucasian lady ) extremely rude ask for help she explain to me she was busy trying to get stuff done and food was really cold

This Taco Bell is extremely well run! This location is close to Michigan ave and all the hotels along the river. The employees and the security guard were great when we visited here this past Friday night at around 11:30 pm. We ordered at the register. We ordered the 2 chicken chalupas and a hard shell taco combo. I ordered the chalupas with no sour cream and no tomato. We also ordered 1 chips and cheese and a soft shell taco. The workers were all working really hard to get orders right. All of the food was fresh! The security guard was helping fulfill all the mobile orders including door dash and Uber eats. He was also helping to give out all the other orders! The system they had going to fulfill orders was perfection! The security guard even had an employee give me a free additional large drink! The wait was a little long but it was because this place was so busy! This Taco Bell experience was fantastic. All of our order was correct! All the food was super fresh, hot, and so good for a Friday night late snack! This Taco Bell is awesome! I rarely rate fast food restaurants but the employees here need to be appreciated! Ps there are kiosks at the front of the store to order from too.

This place is a joke. The orders are consistently wrong. The staff members are rude and more interesting in socializing and listening to music than making food. I highly recommend you avoid this place at all costs.

Dude. I've been to the other Taco Bell Cantina's in Chicago and this one is so nice. Like so nice. This one blows the other Taco Bell's out of the water. This one makes the other Taco Bell's look like shanties. The decor is that modern industrial vibe and it so fits with the location. It's so clean and the employees actually were doing their best to keep it spotless whenever they weren't working the registers. I watched. I've never been in a fast food place that had employees just cleaning to keep things clean instead of cleaning up messes. They have touch screens at the entrance where you can order food from. Benefit of the touch screen: you can see all the customization options. If you have any dietary restrictions but need quick cheap food, come to Taco Bell. So many things can be made vegan! They do have a register and you can order from a person if you prefer. I'm not reviewing the food because it's Taco Bell. You either like Taco Bell or you don't like Taco Bell. I'm all about the Crunchwrap (if you need a suggestion). Dear Taco Bell: You did good with this location. You did real good.

While wondering around the Loop aimlessly one lunch hour I stumbled across this Taco Bell Cantina location. I was blown away. Finally, a different location to satisfy my cravings for T-Bell other than the Thompson Center! So a friend, my usual Taco Bell accomplice, and I dropped in to make sure it passes muster. We went in during lunch time and there wasn't too long of a wait (both to order and to receive our food) nor were all the tables occupied. We were pleased. The food was on part with the Thompson Center, unfortunately. Now that's not saying it didn't taste good I'm just saying that there wasn't a whole lot of care taken in the preparation/creation of our tacos. Thus is the life of a Taco Bell patron, I suppose. But the restaurant was nicely kept, clean, and the prices were not outlandish. Plus they serve booze, so that's a big plus. Given that it is a change of pace from the Thompson Center location, albeit a bit further of a walk for me, I'm looking forward to returning again in the future.

Let's not mince words. This is a Taco Bell. With vegan options. And booze. Vegans are hard pressed to find any options at fast food restaurants and to be able to eat a Crunchwrap and drink a margarita is pretty great! The touch screen ordering is very reassuring- we can substitute and customize everything with confidence. I'm a fan.

The best Taco Bell location I've been to! They're usually very busy (especially during lunchtime) but always manage to get orders ready in about 5 minutes or less. Other TB restaurants, that are less busy, take much longer. The people working here are always so friendly! A few months ago, they added a few self-order kiosks so you can take as much time as you need ordering and customize the food to your liking. This location is a Taco Bell Cantina which means they have urban restaurant design and alcoholic beverages. I've never tried their alcoholic drinks but an cold alcoholic freeze sounds perfect for the summer (which is when I'm planning on trying it)! The space here is large with tons of boots/chairs so there's always a place to sit no matter how busy it gets. This TB definitely exceeds fast food standards!

Worst service ever. You MUST order at the kiosk, not at the register. They don't pay attention to what you ordered, they yell or new for orders when they aren't ready, they then re-yell it names they've already said. Terrible service

I ordered a quesadilla and it was cold, there was barely any cheese, and a good half of it had no cheese at all as you can see here. My friend ordered a couple burritos, for some reason it took 15 minutes and she was missing one. The restaraunt wasn't even busy so it made no sense. The staff was also very rude, I asked for a cup for water and was met with no response from anyone before someone finally gave me a cup without looking me in the eye. Worst experience ever! Would've given zero stars if I could. Will not be going back.

this is a very unprofessional taco bell, they had a small rush and began to snap and insult customers asking about their food. Racist remarks and terrible attitudes. Avoid at all costs.

Unfortunately I came around the lunch time hour which is bad. The lines were extremely long and the preparers badly screwed up my order up. You would think there was a shortage of meat there because it was very little meat on each taco. Ugh! I will NEVER visit this place ever again and this is the reason for the one star rating. I'm a firm believer in organization and this place lacks it very very bad! I hate excuses and this Taco Bell is full it! I suggest you find another restaurant for lunch.....

I don't even know where to begin. If I could give this place no stars, I would. First of all, we had come in with the intent to grab food to take to the river walk to eat. We all were from out of town and figured we would use the restrooms while we were there. We decided to use the bathroom first and than order. As soon as we started walking that way, we got screamed at that we couldn't use the bathroom and said we needed to purchase food, which we were going to do and asked if we could purchase after the bathroom because we all needed to go and they rudely said no and was giving an attitude the entire time. So we hurried up and ordered our food, the doors were locked so we still couldn't go and they didn't unlock it until an older lady went back to use it and I had told her that "nobody is allowed to use restrooms here". And than after me making that comment is when they decided to let people use it. We had to hold the doors open for each other just so they wouldn't lock it on us. And than, we get our meals, we all ordered drinks so they gave us cups to get our own Baja Blasts and of course the machine isn't working and she said "you'll have to wait for someone to come over and fill it. He will be out here in a few minutes" so we sat there and waited and we noticed someone else getting upset about the machine and was also waiting. The guy comes out and he tests every soda and it appears to be working. So this lady tested it and the Pepsi was still coming out clear. Everything was. So she walked up and asked for a freeze because nobody was fixing the machine. So we all walked up and did the same thing. We were going to pay for large sodas and not get the sodas. When we got up there after she had already given a customer a freeze and giving one girl in our group a large freeze, she said to me "you ordered a soda. You can't have the freeze" and I said "well your soda machine still isn't working and I paid for a drink and you just gave 2 people freezes for the inconvenience" so then she took my large cup, filled it and than when my other two friends came up with there large cups, she threw away the large cups that THEY PAYED FOR and sized them down to a medium and the guy came up to her and said "you can't give them freezes in that size" even tho they weren't doing ANYTHING to fix the soda machine that we PAID for. We weren't gonna pay for large cups to not fill them. We felt SO UNCOMFORTABLE and couldn't wait to get out of there. To top it off, it was so HOT. They did not have air conditioning at fucking all. The food was shitty. I asked for extra sauce on everything and didn't get anything. Worst experience I've ever had. Never coming here again and all those people should be fired with the way they treat there customers. I wish I had gotten there names.

This is a large location in downtown Chicago; I liked how much space there was to sit down, especially since this place gets very busy during lunchtime. I went just after lunch time, during late afternoon, and it wasn't that busy. I do wish this place were a bit cleaner, since it seemed like nobody had swept or cleaned off any tables in a while. Service was fast and the workers were friendly. Food isn't any different than any other Taco Bell, but I do like that there's an option to order a cocktail with your food. I wasn't super impressed, since the Cantina locations are supposed to be a little more high-end, but aside from the alcohol offerings, it's no different than any other Taco Bell.

My first gripe, they will direct you to the touchscreen kiosk instead of taking your order. Not sure if this is because they are short handed or just don't want to wait on the customer. Second it is a hit or miss when using the kiosk as you can order what you want, make it the way you want it, BUT I always have to watch them making my item because anything extra that you pay for might (and has) been skipped. If I call them on it they sometimes give me a small cup of the extra item missing but there are times when they say it is beneath the nacho chips. My latest visit was for steak nachos, swapping out the steak for beans, and adding ground beef. The staff had to clarify what I wanted AND STILL I did not add the ground beef. Again be prepared to place your own order, watch the preparation of your order, and call them out when they 'dollop' a topping that should be an extra serving.

More like Taco Hell at this location. Downtown Chicago. Wabash and Randolph location. Cashier (big, ratchet, ignorant and loud) refused to bag my order of over 9 items. She told me she dont do bags and that customers bag they own orders! Well... I myseld don't work for Taco Bell therefore why would I bag my own order?? She is a horrible employee who has several conplaints already. Guess Taco Bell is in the business of keeping ratchet employees and losing out on customers.

This is the third location and first in Downtown. This is a little larger than the one in Streeterville. I had the Beefy Fritos Burrito and a soft drink. The service was quick and the staff communicated well.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. They fucked up me and my friends orders. And they will we went up and asked about it they gave us attitude and were extremely fucking rude. I got home and still had the wrong fucking order. Worst fucking Taco Bell I've ever experienced in my entire life. If I could give zero fucking stars, I would. The staff and manager were assholes. Walk the farther distance to a different Taco Bell or go get your shit from somewhere else.

I waited until my third time visiting to say the seating in this place is dirty and messy. There is a decent amount of seats but it looks like it hasn't been swept or sanitized for days. Tacos have a boatload of lettuce to hide the fact that they put a small amount of meat at the bottom. Greedy, stingy a$$ franchise.

I'd like to let everyone know to STAY CLEAR of this Taco Bell location unless you're in the mood for degrading treatment, disrespect, and lack of attentiveness. I went to lunch with some co-workers yesterday and got my purse stolen. My keys, AirPods, IDs, credit cards, earrings, makeup... all gone. As soon as I noticed, I politely asked the manager MIKE if he could please check the security footage to see who took my purse as I made my police report/ cancelled my cards. I thought if he saw the footage, we could see what the person looked like and then possibly find them outside/nearby to retrieve my belongings. The manager MIKE did absolutely NOTHING to accommodate me, treated my friends and I like we were a piece of dog shit on the ground as he waved us off saying he had other customers. WE WERE CUSTOMERS. A customer ROBBED and a customer in line ordering a CHALUPA are two different types of customers and if he was an actual manager and human being, he'd know which one to prioritize. I left my name and number in hopes of someone calling me within the hour. FOUR HOURS go by... still nothing. I went back after work to see if they checked out the footage. MIKE approached me in the most unprofessional manner, talked down to me and my co-worker because we were female, and did not give a care in the world. He continuously hung up on my mother and I as we called throughout the day for updates, said "we need to learn how to ask more politely for things," and that he'll "get to it when he gets to it." Now, this makes me think he's a part of the robberies that take place at this location. No one in their right mind would postpone something like this especially because if the person robbing was successful once, what makes him think they won't come back? It is now almost 7pm at night and he FINALLY looks at the security footage after my mother and I contacted corporate in hopes he does ONE THING to help me.. footage shows a woman in a BRIGHT PINK HAT AND SHIRT that would have been EASILY spotted around the neighborhood if he had shown and helped sooner. I can't believe the day I went through all because MIKE wouldn't give me the time of day. If you are craving Taco Bell, go to any other location and don't give your money to this fool.

You know, I don't normally give a lot of fast food places a 4 star, but this Cantina was pretty good. The food was good, I didn't have to use the bathroom after, and not only that... The food actually looked like the photos on their menu board! It was great.

I came in at 11pm and I don't know who it was but lady was mad saying we closing soon giving us a stank face. When it clearly says they close at 2am. I ordered my food she had a attitude about everything. Clearly looked like she was annoyed about having customers in. MAYBE she shouldn't clean early and relax.

Who doesn't love Taco Bell and who doesn't like Booze It's the perfect combo of deliciousness

This is perhaps the most busy Taco Bell location I have ever seen (during lunch time, weekdays). I have walked passed this location several times with no avail because the line just seemed too long for me to grab a quick Crunch Wrap Supreme. Today, I made the commitment to get my tacos no matter how long it would take to get the food. And it took 25 minutes. 25 minutes to get a Crunch Wrap Supreme Combo. That is unbelievable. I may be mistaken, but the workers sure were tired of the sheer amount of the order being registered in and had given up working at that fastest pace. There were many people waiting for their online/phone orders to be prepared, and there I was who ordered inside the restaurant, longer than all those guys probably. Busyness often sacrifices quality, and that is what I experienced at Taco Bell here. My crunch wrap supreme had the ingredients pushed to the edges, making each corner taste like one ingredient and nothing more. My crunchy taco had very little content that I could hardly taste the meat or cheese in it. I know, it's lunch hour for the hundreds of companies including mine in this area. I know jt tends to get busy. But that doesn't mean I can use that as an excuse to lose consistent quality. Can do better.

They're real nice because they serve booze and have to be ultra professional. That alone is worth the visit. It's the only TBell I know that has glass so you can watch them cook the food.

The slowest service ever. I waited for 47 minutes for an order with 2 items. There were multiple people in the back that were not working. They were either waiting around chatting or doing things outside of preparing the food for the plethora of customers waiting. Once you pay, there is no way to know how long it will take as they do not have a numbering system for the orders.

Seriously. How can you sell food and not have washrooms. Like seriously. Not even one person can man a cash register? They want 15$ for minimum wage?

All Taco Bell's are amazing, but this one is always an easy 10/10. I took my valentine there and the atmosphere, customer service and cleanliness took my breath away. I would highly suggest the 1.99 soft taco. We will see you next Valentine's Day, and probably 80 times in between. Xoxo

Jennette helped me, and clearly knows what she's doing, as she was working two registers at once, keeping the crowd, which was considerable, under control by herself with accurately taken orders, with an incredibly friendly demeanor, and impressive patience. She deserves a raise!

Not much to say other than that this is a solid TBell. Rating right now are being too tough. They have electronic kiosks, they keep their potatoes from getting rock hard, and they always got their sauces stocked. What more are you looking at from a TBell. The rest of the experience is cookie cutter.

If I could give this Taco Bell zero stars on here, I would. This was the worst Taco Bell experience I've ever had. Every item was wrong on our order and items were missing from our order. The potatoes in the Fiesta Potato Bowl were raw. There was a random piece of chicken in a Crunchwrap supreme. Our drinks were missing. The tacos were literally falling apart. They did not give us any napkins, silverware, or sauces that were asked for. Will never go here again.

I just walked into this location on the weekend in the evening. The staff was nice and friendly. The premises seemed to be clean and tidy during my visit. I ordered a soft shell taco with ground beef, cheese and sour creme. I had a soft drink on the side. I had an enjoyable experience for under $4.00. That's quite a deal. I would recommend this place for the calorie observant thrifty visitor to Downtown chicago. The view of the Chicago river and Trump Hotel a few blocks away is a plus too.
