Taco Bell Takes Its Taco Subscription Service National | Eater

"The new Taco Lover’s Pass — launched initially in Arizona and managed through the restaurant’s app — gives subscribers one taco per day for 30 days for $10, effectively pricing each redeemed taco at roughly 30 cents. The subscription covers options like the classic crunchy taco, the spicy potato soft taco, and Doritos Locos tacos, and the chain clearly plans to drive additional spending on add-ons such as Baja Blasts and cinnamon twists. Devoted fans are famously obsessive about menu changes (to the point of getting tattoos), and while the food is often mocked for causing gastrointestinal issues, its distinctive, hard-to-replicate flavors make the pass a compelling bargain for frequent customers despite potential health concerns about consuming so many tacos in a month." - Amy McCarthy

Taco Bell’s New Subscription Service Could Get You a Free Daily Taco | Eater

"At 20 restaurants across Arizona the chain is piloting a paid subscription called the Taco Lovers Pass — a $5 to $10 add-on that unlocks a secret app menu offering one free daily taco, with options including the Doritos Locos Taco, the Spicy Potato Soft Taco, and the Crunchy Taco Supreme. With those tacos usually priced between $1.49 and $2.89, subscribers can quickly get their money’s worth, and the pass is intended to convert casual customers into habitual visitors while supplementing the brand’s existing loyalty program. The initiative follows a broader pandemic-era trend of restaurants launching loyalty and subscription offerings to guarantee revenue and retain customers; for chains, a major benefit is collecting rich customer data that can be used for targeted marketing, site selection, and menu development." - Jaya Saxena

For over 8 dollars this is the worst order of nachos…. All chips very disappointing. Won’t be back. Was told it had proper portions of product.

Google
Ordered a grilled cheese burrito with extra everything. This is what I received… a very despicable EMPTY $16 for a single burrito. The only reason why service got a two star was because they were willing to remake it for me..

I don't expect a lot when eating at Taco Bell but second time here and both times the hard shell tacos were "wet" and stuck to the paper and fell apart because the taco shell was soggy. Second time, two months apart, same issue, also the meat tasted weird. I did enjoy the chicken nachos but not being able to eat your tacos sucks, hopefully they can do much better but from reading other reviews I'm not going back.

Google
Slowest tbell of all time. Good luck getting your order! I was picking up a pre order for someone, they had ordered twenty minutes before I arrived. I went in to pick their order up and the girl said it wasn’t ready and she was “checking me in”. She gives me a cup to get their beverage, and I sit at a table within earshot and eyeshot of the counter. Ten minutes come and go. Twenty minutes come and go. I’ve been texting the person whose order I’m picking up by that point, nothing on their end either. They call a couple other peoples names orders are ready. Twenty five minutes pass, 45 minutes from time of order! And now I’m angry, the customer I’m picking up for is angry, 45 minutes for fast food burritos/tacos??? (Your customers time is valuable too). I go back to the counter to ask, and to my surprise, yes, the order is ready! It’s just been sitting there! For who knows how long, They never called the name!! What is the point in checking someone in, if that’s even a real thing they do, and not just something they say, to then not call the name? There was a couple that came in right after me and only ordered bean burritos and beverages and when I was leaving (angrily), they didn’t have their food yet either! They were also commiserating while we were all waiting about taking half an hour to get a fast food refried bean burrito saying they should’ve just gone to the store they’d be done then.

The food was good, the atmosphere was very nice, and the service was amazing. The assistant manager, I think his name was Robert, was wonderful. As my family and I sat in the restaurant and ate, we immediately noticed Robert. He was so nice to the employees, yet you could just tell that he was in authority - when he wanted them to do something, he said please and thank you. He treated each and every customer just like a good manager should - he took care of them and thanked them. My husband actually went to him and told him what a great job he was doing. I highly recommend this location.

Google
The food is okay but the entire place is disgusting the floor inside the kitchen was covered in grease and cheese just laying on the floor, there was a bunch of girl employees and they were screaming in the back. In my opinion they should at the very least have a good discussion on how to act as an employee to all those girls

Zzenn L.

Google
If you want tacos with half the ingredients in them and a bean burrito that was mostly a tortilla with a little bit of bean and cheese on the right side of it then this is the place to go. It's beyond my understanding how these people can fill orders halfway as if people were paying half the price. I was going to go back in and complain by showing them the taco that had half the ingredients along with the burrito but I thought it would just be a waste of time since people get defensive.

Ray S.

Google
Totally screwed up the order!Ordered a Supreme and chicken burrito at the drive in window. Got home and had the chicken burrito and 2 bean burritos. No supreme. Too far to go back so just had what we got. Beware! Don't leave until you check your order!

Yelp
Had Taco Bell at a location in Mesa, AZ months ago and it tasted weird so I thought Taco Bell was no longer a viable fast food option for me, but popped in here today and got a burrito and it tasted normal. Looks like this is a viable option again and the customer service was exceptional!

Yelp
Always great, app makes ordering easy, food is ready upon arrival. I love I can save favorites

Tim G.

Yelp
i should have known better than to give yall another chance. Drove all the way there from Clarkdale just to get some of the messiest tacos in earth with half wilted half frozen lettuce. Sour cream in the first bite but nowhere else within the taco. My Mexican pizza was cold with the shredded cheese on to not even cooked/melted. I wasted $12 and my gas's by thinking yall would do better. Sad thing is the employees there are probably just working with what they got. The owners are responsible for this being the worst Taco Bell I've ever lived near.

Yelp
You can read the other reviews to see how unhappy the workers usually are there. But the gentleman that took my order made my night. Really nice and kind, actually took me by surprise. Thanks for bringing a smile to my face
google avatar

Sienna D.

Yelp
Ordered the $7 craving box and the none of the order I received was correct. No beefy five layer, two of the same burrito that has Fritos in it (gross), no cheesy Gordita crunch. An order of nachos when it should be chips and the cheese. Super confused how you can be that incompetent on a slow night... Don't waste your time or money here

Yelp
I took a chance again and they didn't disappoint. They lost my mobile order, not enough staff to have a front person, dining room was dirty and unstocked. When I finally got my order, it was incomplete, cold and no napkins or condiments. Seriously raise your pay rate and hire some staff before you hurt someone.

Lance Sr H.

Yelp
The service was very bad. I do not do the flat screen ordering. So I went to the counter and the tall man told me that he would be right with me. Well after 5 minutes of waiting there watching him he finally took my order. The problem I see here is they understaff the place thinking that everyone should use the self ordering. The whole time I was there there was only two workers and it is 10:47 currently. I'm really not blaming the workers I'm blaming the management. Not everyone works this system especially older people.

Yelp
I am driver for Door Dash. I've done this in two different cities, in two different states, and the woman working the drive thru last night at this Taco Bell takes the cake for the worst customer service! Now to be fair I did eventually loose my composer once I figured out she was lying to me, along with being unnecessarily rude AF! So, I pull up, give the customers name, I'm told she has no DD order, that in fact that specific order has been picked up, and shuts the window and walks away. I honk the horn for her attention because I want to ask for clarifying questions, as this is something I've never encountered. She ignores me. I pull around, contact Door Dash, and sadly I'm pushed around in a circle of AI generated responses, but I am told that Taco Bell is a partner of theirs and to show the order to the employee, ask them to please make it, or re-make it, and let them know they will be paid regardless. So I did, and this woman rudely agreed while letting me know again that it had already been picked up. At this exact moment I was calling the customer, as this is an option thru the, using Door Dash as a go between. She answered and confirmed she in fact had NOT received her order. So I attempted to explain this to this woman and then she began to argue with me, tell me I was wrong that she would report me, call me a liar, and otherwise treat me with zero disrespect while she was in the wrong. Excuse me? At this point I lost my composure as I drove off. The funniest, and honestly most concerning, was when dropping off the order, the customer knew exactly which employee I delt with because she is the reason she stopped driving for Door Dash. That's sad!!!

Joel R.

Yelp
30 min wait and there wasn't even a rush. a long wait and cold tacos. They had one guy running the indoor orders and like 3 running drive through. How does that make sense?

Mackenzie W.

Yelp
I'm posting this right after receiving my food. Anyone on shift for June 15 around 6pm should be fired. Order takers, people handing out the food at the window and whoever was making the food in the back. I'd leave 0 starts if I could. Terrible customer service. I was rushed through my entire ordering process. Got to the window and again just an awful experience. Checked my food to see that my quesadilla was barely grilled and not even cut through. Barely any chicken on it and it was thrown in the wrapper sloppy . Not to mention how expensive supreme tacos are and they only put 3 small pieces of tomato on it. If you live in town, just go up to Sedona or anywhere else to get Taco Bell. If you don't live in town, go anywhere but here if you want decent food and decent customer service.

Yelp
There was a misunderstanding with my order, Nicole H and Jarren made it right! Thanks again guys! Will definitely be back

Yelp
"I have chosen to be happy because it's good for my health." Voltaire When we have happy in our soul, all is well! Tacos are soul kinda changing food! Drive, drive, drive the mountain goes around that way and then back the other way. As we snake through the local mountain ranges in the area all this focus requires some fuel. Pulling into this little town for the first time the local flavors are all around. After sitting so long, just point me to the "road traveling food." Join me for the munchies travel run to Taco Bell. For us this is an in and out trip, there is nothing like Taco Bell to wet that appetite. This particular local is a new and modern with all the newest decor. The restrooms are open and clean. Yeah! What to order? Everything looks good! On this particular visit the dogs and twins are accompanying me. So many of my favorites on the Bells menu are gone. How could they discontinue my Mexican Pizzas, and steak soft tacos are off the menu too! Being a creature of habit let's try something new, since what I want they cannot make for me. The box meals that they offer are the newest concept here. Let's give it a whirl; we're gonna do the toasted chalupa cheddar box. The toasted cheddar chalupa box comes with the cheddar chalupa with your choice or protein, a regular taco, cinnamon twists and a fountain drink all for around six bucks. It's a tru deal. The cheddar chalupa we ordered in steak and chicken for a little extra up charge. The chalupa bread has dried cheddar cheese that is fried in the grease. The cheddar outer bread of the chalupa would be excellent fresh. The chalupa bread we experienced was hard and crusty. With the pita bread being so hard we basically had taco salad without the chips. The inner chicken and steak was delicious and fresh. The lettuce and tomatoes were so so. My experience with the toasted cheddar chalupa is not so good because the bread was so hard. Needless to say stick to the regular chalupa in the future. With twins and dogs three Chalupa boxes is not going to feed everyone. After a mix of some bean burritos and regular tacos for everyone it was time to get down to satisfaction. I ended up eating one of the protein bowls; which they no longer carry but made for me anyways. The manager was epic in creating a bowl for me that had chips, tomatoes mix, lettuce, chicken and steak, cheese, and sour cream. The bowl was fab and delicious. The attitude of the manager when I informed her the cheddar chalupas were gross was met with an attitude. Anyways after some coaching on how that is what the chalupa are supposed to taste like we hit the road. The manager on staff did not even remake my chalupas. I was informed that they come just as I received them. Period. It's the simple things in life that make the day great. Sure my cheddar chalupas were garbage, but the meat and cheese were delicious. The manager can only perform to what her restrictions are. The manager here did not go above and beyond for me, but made sure that we were happy, to an extent. Let's not cry over the small things in life, instead let's celebrate the clear reality that life is life and what you make of it. Love and blessings are what make the world turn. Let us continue on the road trip and set our sights on taking us where the road leads.

Yelp
If you're looking for outstanding customer service, this isn't the place! If you're looking for mediocre customer service, this still isn't the place. Both individuals at counter are beyond rude, and the trash cans are overflowing. Not a pleasant experience.

Celeste R.

Yelp
Food was tasty but the dining room was FILTHY and 2 kids (who stayed there all day as the parent worked) were spreading things all around the room.

Yelp
Taco Bell has the $5 Cravings box avail again right now but the one here in cottonwood doesn't want to sell it. I personally ordered it and got it twice this past week but lately the man working lies and says we don't have it. We only have $10 boxes. Untrue. It's greedy and deceitful. I'm not impressed.

Janet H.

Yelp
Service was fast and friendly. Food was absolutely awful! Stale chips, barely warm toppings, bean burritos and tacos almost cold fillings. Dangerous To eat here.
google avatar

Yelp
Was visiting in Cottonwood and decided to eat at Taco Bell. The girl behind the counter acted as if she didn't really want to take our order, nor anyone else's. There were 2 people ahead of us that ordered and three after us. I needed to use the restroom. The sign on the inside of the door reads "we check and clean these restrooms every half hour". The toilet was FILTHY!! There was poop all over the inside of the toilet! I walked out and was going to try and tell a worker but they were getting orders ready. So I thought I would wait until our order was ready so I could tell them. The people that were ahead of us got their orders and we were next....so I thought. The 3 people who came in AFTER us got theirs and we waited. Finally, the girl looked at as and said "Are you waiting to order?" (We were standing by the counter by this time). I said "No, we are waiting FOR our order" She said "Oh" and walked away to finally work on ours! When she got it ready she tossed it on the counter with a quick order number and WALKED OFF!!! We decided to eat there and we were there for OVER a half hour and NO ONE ever went near the restroom!

Yelp
Stopped by this Taco Bell on the way back from Sedona and grabbed a few snacks before I hit the road again. The interior was clean and the employees were pretty nice. It's located right next to a Panda Express so it's a good place to stop if you want to try one thing and your friend/partner/buddy wants to eat something else!

Yelp
Very friendly employees - stopped in this a.m., first time having a Taco Bell breakfast...clean dining area, both the female and male employee were very professional. I was offered a cup for water while waiting for me 2 egg and potato tacos - very thoughtful. So nice to experience "customer service."

Cody W.

Yelp
MICHELLE! Most of this review is for you girl. Thank you for fixing my order. (Drive through gave me the wrong bag by accident) Professional, Polite, quick and precise. Your line was clean and I could tell you cared. Other line with the two gentleman. Yikes boys. Standing around with a DIRTY ass line.. eating on the line with gloves on and then touching food. No thanks guys come on! I used to work Taco Bell for years in highschool and it was the best job! If people in my restaurant did shit like that I would absolutely lose my shit lol

Derek B.

Yelp
Should of learned my lesson the first time, but almost the only thing to get when getting out of work late. Ordered veggie crunch wrap supreme and bean and cheese burrito on both occasions within a year apart and threw up and had the chills until it cleared out my system. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE
google avatar

Rachel Q.

Yelp
Nothing really wrong with there food, but the employees.... questionable. I'll start with we have boycotted this location before due to clames of unsanitary work conditions and health hazards. After a long boycott we did return with high hopes of change but have unfortunately been let down. The drinks have been unflavored and mostly carbonation. About 1/3rd of the time getting the wrong food or it is missing from my order completely. The past few times I have gone at night the staff as been unpleasant and unskillful.

Yelp
Taco Bell never fails to surprise and provide the food you need. They are working hard to craft the most delicious food every time I order a meal or a fast grab in their drive-thru. They have a kind group of staff that are very friendly and approachable to talk. They never miss out to ensure that you got the correct order, even at the busiest times. The taste of their burrito is good as it gets. They add more flavor to its center resulting in an explosion of juices as you dig in. Food lovers such as myself love to visit taco bell to experience the same thrill all over again. The food is always fresh, hot, and ready to eat. You can eat with ease and enjoy your food knowing that they have one of the cleanest restaurants in town. They maintain cleanliness by sweeping the floor with disinfectant every time people are entering or exiting their establishment. Satisfied not only for the food but the effort in keeping its loyal customer safe is highly appreciated. Moreover, people go to Taco Bell, because they provide maximum safety guidelines to avoid infectious diseases in their facility.

Kristyn M.

Yelp
Fast food? Slowest Taco Bell drive thru I've ever been too. Regretted getting stuck in a 25 minute line for a $6 order.

Marissa V.

Yelp
i ordered a chicken quesadilla. it was cold when i got it, and the cheese wasn't even melted. AND they forgot our fork.

Stephen W.

Yelp
Very rude employees. Can't get my order right unless I walk in the restaurant every time I use the drive through they always miss something. Done with this location forever now just get a bad vibe every time I go in.

Ryan M.

Yelp
Alway friendly staff all the times our family has gone through here. Haven't missed anything on our order and if they do, they handle it properly. When it comes to fast food and service they've got the combo.

Nevaeh M.

Yelp
very rude employees and doesn't accommodate to what you order. tried to order a beef burrito. and said "i cant do that, it has to be a taco" like wtff??? then didn't say a word when got up to the window. very disappointed on how this business is going especially for cottonwood.

B. K. N.

Yelp
I have had three separate encounters with Taco Bell here. All three times there is something about the beans I don't know what they're doing with the beans but the beans do not taste like refried beans ? Taste like shit! How do you fuck up beans and make them into refi beans? They need some work I just the beans.
google avatar

T. S.

Yelp
What can you say, always good, exstreamly filling and a great staff. Just go, you will not be disappointed.
google avatar

Edward V.

Yelp
My beefy crunch burrito only had like 2 fritos in it and the baja blast tasted like water. Worst taco bell experience I've ever had.

Liza G.

Yelp
i waited and waited for my food. nothing, after 15 minutes, then i waited another 15. a total of 30 minutes, now not only did i wait so long i received very hard rice, i had asked for no tomatoes and what do i receive tomatoes. sad days in cottonwood arizona
google avatar

Danny B.

Yelp
For the first time in five years that I've had my service animal for diabetes I was told at the Taco Bell that no dogs even service dogs are allowed inside the building. how dare them. Maybe if the owner had a disability that required a service dog maybe he or she would allow them but until then they're completely breaking the law how dare them. Shame on you Taco Bell in Cottonwood Arizona shame on you
google avatar

Cassie V.

Yelp
Seriously the worse Taco Bell I've ever had in my life... and service. Hopefully I don't get food poisoning
google avatar

K J.

Yelp
I swore off Taco Bell long ago, but I was in a hurry and needed something to fill the void in my stomach on my way out if Cottonwood. I ordered a double beef burrito supreme, and a taco. I got a double bean burrito, and a taco that had less than two teaspoons of meat, a few strands of cheese, and a bunch of lettuce. They upcharged me for my extra meat, and gave me beans in my burrito with some sour cream. The taco wasn't worth a dollar, much less two. I'm back to swearing off Taco Bell.
google avatar

Amber B.

Yelp
This is the most courteous fast food restaurant I have ever been to the employees are always so polite and accommodating

Alicia C.

Yelp
Yep thumbs up on the customer service. Every time I come to this Taco Bell, the customer service is on point. Keep up the great job.
google avatar

Emma R.

Yelp
I cannot sing their praises enough. You want to know what service looks like, you come here. The are friendly, fast and efficient. The lobby is always clean. Not to mention I have yet to see them break a food safety rule yet and as a former restaurant manager, believe me I look for it. Who ever is managing this place deserves a raise. Bravo guys, keep it up!

Fernanda V.

Yelp
Dante was extremely nice when helping replace my order. Very good person and crew member :)

Yelp
BEST fast food in Cottonwood! Service is friendly and FAST! Employees are courteous and genuine and the owner, Grace is SUCH a sweetheart! The general manager is extremely friendly and exceptionally professional. I eat here often and recommend it to everyone! Love their "Happy hour" specials, just wish there were more food items on the list to choose from.

Yelp
We stopped here after our fancy restaurant reservations fell through. This location has really personable staff and that's refreshing!!
google avatar

Kaelie M.

Yelp
Taco Bell isn't some super fancy amazing food place, I understand that. But everyone loves some Taco Bell sometimes, especially my kids. And this particular Taco Bell has some of the friendliest, funny employees I've ever met. They make the experience better than other places. I really appreciate the great service we get every time we go. You can tell they're actually happy and enjoying their time there which I really appreciate. Thanks guys!

Kristy A.

Yelp
Then employee with glasses that took our order yesterday afternoon around 3pm was fantastic! Polite, engaging best customer service ever!! Impressed especially nowadays.

Heather P.

Yelp
This is the best taco bell around! I feel so taken care of the second I walk thru the doors! Thank you !!!!
