Here Are the 10 Best Birthday Freebies to Get in San Francisco

"If you don’t mind downloading another app, then Taco Bell has an — albeit small — offering for your birthday. Expect a regular-sized Mountain Dew Baja Blast Freeze, but you might as well get extra celebratory with it and either head to the Third Street Cantina location just steps away from Lucky Strike, or take a trip down to Pacifica and have that drink at the most beautiful Taco Bell location in the world." - Dianne de Guzman

Google
This Taco Bell consistently delivers the goods. I order a lot from this location and they rarely miss the mark. Knock on wood. Every items seems to be accounted for, it’s well made and packaged nicely. I will continue to order from this location. Good job guys keep it up.

Google
Wanted to try the new dirty Baja blast soda. So I also got some food. Was it good? It was Taco Bell, about what you expect. With all the other amazing Mexican food in the city I probably won’t come back here again.

Parker C.

Google
I know it’s an anomaly because of Outside Lands and this place is one of the only ones in all of the city open past 11PM, but when I passed by there were 20 delivery drivers waiting an hour and a half for food at midnight. Wild. I’m not even a delivery driver and I found that screwed up. I wonder how it is on late night evenings in general.

Google
This place was fast, efficient and dead on with the order. All of my food was hot. The cheese for nachos was the hottest temp cheese. Normally everywhere it's like warm and tacos are just yuk. This was at 12:21am after working all day and no sleep since the day before morning. I had a dinner from our event but seriously, my dog ate it and the desert. Looking for something at midnight I saw this place. A short walk and super staff fixed everything.

Google
Guy working the service window at 10:30 pm was absolutely rude beyond belief for no reason. I'm picking up for myself. Fortunately the other 99% of the staff is fabulous and wonderful all the time.

Google
I went here at 1/20/2019 at 11 pm. Order $36 worth of food. Tacos were DISGUSTING—crushed, no lettuce, cold. The Night Manager Manny was extremely rude, and refused to give us our money back. Said that we were wrong and that we should talk to corporate. One of the WORST experiences ever! Do not eat here!

Willis Murray

Google
All the ladies were wonderful the gentleman too the staff from 1:00 to 5:00 everybody was amazing everything was precise everything I ordered I got in a timely manner it was a very helping serving of Nacho Grande Villa Grande nachos I will always come back every time I come to San Francisco they were so amazing I had to let everybody in the restaurant and outside about this restaurant it needs to stay there as long as it can they should Branch out and have more locations just like this one in the city of San Francisco or the surrounding areas if I could I would give them money for a raise

Yelp
This is a prime location if you are going to the ballgame and in need of an affordable meal and some boozy Baja blasts. Taco Bell recently released their cheez-it Crunchwrap supreme, and while I like the effort, the execution ain't it. I expected a giant cheez-it in the middle, but it was nowhere to be found. The few bites I did have it with though, the flavor threw it far too off for me. I usually like their special menu stuff but this wasn't it. We also got the classic cheese Gordita crunch and crunchy taco, these were as good as usual but they were a bit skimpy with the meat inside. While fast food has risen in prices, downloading the app is what I've used to save money and also order ahead to save time. They have a pickup window on the side where you'll just give them your name and they'll give your food all packaged up. Definitely order when you are close though, bc Taco Bell sitting in the bag makes everything soggy and not as good.

Yelp
I loved Taco Bell back home, so when i ordered here, i got a bunch of stuff - cheesy potatoes, steak quesadilla, and chicken enchilada burrito. To my dismay, it was not that good - too greasy and not flavorful enough.
google avatar

Yelp
Anytime you order online they mess it up. Never get a full refund for their errors. Always out of stock on popular items. Not sure if upper management knows how to run a store in a busy/condense area. Such a disappointment considering you can go to any other Taco Bell and get what you want are your pleasure. They should really just close this location tbh

Yelp
The city can be pretentious and overpriced so it's always nice to stumble into a familiar chain after a night out. This particular location may not be the most inviting as there were some NPCs hanging out inside the store, chairs wrapped in plastic bags and signs saying "do not sit", as well as a inefficient ordering system. However, a Crunchwrap is a Crunchwrap and I was so grateful that's how I was able to end my night. Even the lack of seating was forgiven as I happily scarfed down my value combo in the SF cold and reminded myself that maybe not that much had changed since college. (If you're looking to order the twisted drinks keep in mind Sunday to Thursdays alcohol service stops at 10:00 pm. )

Floridaman F.

Yelp
I was so skibidi amazed by the food, they even had skibidi slicers! But they called the skibidi slicers 'quesadellas' for some reason, anyways, I edged all over my food when I got back to the edge dungeon..!

Yelp
Tasty and fresh . It's an affordable and delicious meal in the area considering the high costs in SF

Yelp
A local staple and popular too! It was sunny in the Mission Bay, and people looked like they came from Coachella. It seems like many looked at the options and still settled with Taco Bell! What can you do with their Classic Combo? I wanted each of the items - a crunchy taco, a beefy burrito, and thick, chunky fries with nacho sauce. But the creative side kicked in and Chef Chi kicked into super mode. These happen to be the ingredients needed for a California burrito! I was able to customize my order and received jalapeño nacho sauce. Bam! I was able to create my own California burrito with their Classic Combo - life hacked. I did this on the fly, but if I had salsa on me, gg.
google avatar

Arjun A.

Yelp
The quality of the items is below average for taco bell franchises, but the bigger issue is that they often do not provide hot sauce packets (even when specifically ordered) on food delivery apps. Hot sauce is a key part of the taco bell experience and this location has let me down so many times. To be clear, this review is based on many many instances of this process failure over more than a year (they are the default/possibly only option on Door Dash where I live). Hope this is resolved.

Yelp
Service sucks. Portions are small. Just wanted some nachos since I was close by and my friends wanted to order alcoholic drinks which this place does provide. I guess that's the only reason this place is still in business fpr their alcohol and cheap eats.

Yelp
I haven't had Taco Bell in forever but their chicken quesadillas are still fire! The combos are also such a steal, and the food comes out so quickly. In this store there's no indoor seating or restrooms available right now.

Andrea L.

Yelp
Taco Bell's tacos are undoubtedly the cornerstone of its menu. The crispy shells, seasoned beef, and fresh toppings create a harmonious blend of flavors that is simply irresistible. From the classic Crunchy Taco to the more adventurous Supreme Taco, there's a taco to suit every taste.

Santos C.

Yelp
I love about Taco Bell is their commitment to customization. With their extensive menu and endless combinations, I can always create a meal that suits my taste preferences perfectly. Plus, their vegetarian and vegan options make it easy for me to stick to my dietary choices without sacrificing flavor.

Yelp
This taco bell is awesome. They have great customer service and they great. The beefy burrito combo I bought was exquisite. The wrap was so powerful with flavor that it brought into a nice christmas spirit. Would like to recommend this combo because not only does it come with the beefy burrito wrap, it comes with a drink and a crunchy taco. This meal made my day. I would recommend to anyone in the area. This place is highly underrated.

Jason G.

Yelp
this place looks so nasty I almost canceled my order but I was so hungry because I haven't eaten all day and just got out of the gym not too long ago so yeah I was very hungry and looks like everyone's mad not my fault that's your job the kids in my family can roll better Burritos In the french fries SMH not gonna get into that They were horrible. I swear this garbage a$$ city it's a Hit and miss when it comes to food.

Douglas S.

Yelp

Yelp
Should've known from other bad reviews. Sketchy inside & no seating bc of Covid. Out of food items. I paid for 2 burritos and a nachos. Got back to my car to realize they didn't give me nachos. Face palm.

Yelp
This was located right across the hotel we stayed at which made it so easy at night when we were hungover and hungry for some food. Their walk up window was open until 11pm and we were able to to order the food that we wanted. Had to wait for 10-15 minutes for them to make the food, but I did not expect it to be as convenient as it was. Such a nice hole in the wall place, so glad we found it and were able to get food at night. I am not sure how the inside is because we only got food from their walk up window but it did look interesting.

Yelp
On my last visit I ordered the Mexican pizza. Believe it or not I've never tried it before so I'm glad that it's back. To my surprise when I opened up my Taco Bell app, I had an offer to try it for free! Yay for me! Offer is good thru 6-1-22. Whenever I order thru the app they are quick to make the order. You can also schedule it at a later time of day to pick up. I used to go to the pick up counter but recently I had to go to the cashier to let them know I'm there to pick up. There appears to be a language barrier with some of the staffs working the kitchen. At the cashier there was a sign regarding the shortage of tomatoes. That's too bad because it would have added a bit of freshness to the Mexican Pizza. I heard in the past there was green onions and black olives, too bad I didn't get to try the original. In any case, I would order the Mexican Pizza again. Just 1 order was pretty filling, thanks to the refried beans. I really like the "crust" the taste reminds me of a puffy taco. That reason alone makes this Mexican Pizza a new favorite menu item of mine.

Cat L.

Yelp
the food was tasty but portions were small and no one came to my table. they could have done better with service like no one came to give us the menus and no one came to our table and took our orders. I had to ring the bell for an employe to come in and they took an extra 20 minuets. when we finally got the food it was small but tasty, after when me and my family left we all had to use the bathroom!

Yelp
trying to clean out your stomach?? well taco bell can do that for you !! for the fraction of the price :D better than going to the hospital to get your gut cleaned!! Taco bell will do for you ! make sure to ask for extra diablo sauce *yummy*

Yelp
Why are there no tables or chairs? Ridiculous I can't even eat my food here. Won't be coming back.

Yelp
Sigh ** This place sucks!!!! Within 20 mins of eating I got really bad food poisoning. The worst taco bell I've visited. And to think this a Cantina Taco Bell. Whoever is the general manager needs to reevaluate this place. i ordered 3 tacos supreme and when I took the first bite it was missing sour cream. not only that but the beans were super hard. This place doesn't even deserve one star. I had to eat something else because i was so dissatisfied. The cashier is nice and competent but that's about it. Save your money and just starve. I wished I would have done that instead of ordering this crap!!!!!!! So if corporate is reading please change management!!!! I guess if you eat crap you get crappy service. As

Robert L.

Yelp
Of all my years I've NEVER had worse food than here. I live close by so I have eaten there a dozen times plus. It keeps getting worse and worse. It's not even OK for those that drank too much. The tacos are always broken and soggy (falling apart) and the burritos are also missing standard toppings and falling apart. Nothing is done even kind of well here -- honest to God truth. I will give them one credit because they are fast, but otherwise just don't do it. You will thank me. PS I don't usually write this kind of negative review, and it's not based on one order, but people should know what they are wasting money on and will be left with an empty stomach or wishing it was. Most will throw away at least half the order. Bob

Yelp
This is not a regular ol' Taco Bell (which I have had more than my fair share of, lol no shame) This is one of the few and far between, Taco Bell Cantinas! I was so excited to see this place in SF, so close to Oracle Park. I had thought they were only in Calabasas and Sacramento. My review unfortunately doesn't include a taste taste of the Rose-ita, Baja-Blast-ritas or any of the beers they had on tap. I stopped by a little bit after 8am while looking for coffee and a breakfast snack. (If they would have let me take a Baja-Blast-rita to go, I would have! haha!). Differences between a regular Taco Bell and this Cantina: 1. They have alcohol! You can add vodka, tequila, or rum to Baja Blasts. They also have a frozen Rose machine and a frozen Margarita machine! They had about 4 beers on tap. 2. This location was pretty small but they made the most of the space. They added a large tv on one wall, mostly high top tables. Like other Taco Bells they have a do-it-yourself ordering kiosk which I like! This location seems to really make that the main way of ordering, there was rarely anyone at the one and only cashier station. I like the efficiency but I did notice someone having to wait a little longer to order, it looked like they just had cash so they couldn't use the kiosk. If the kiosk took cash it would be win-win for customers and efficiency I think. I ordered a breakfast burrito and a coffee. Order came out fast. They have little creamer containers and different types of sugars with the napkins and straws, hot sauces etc. This coffee was pretty good! I paid $3.46 or so for those 2 items. You can't beat Taco Bell for a cheap and tasty breakfast it seems. Definitely want to try the drinks at this location or the Sac Cantina soon. If you're near Oracle Park, post or pre game, definitely walk down 3rd street and give this place a try.

Yelp
You could eat at 3 different restaurants before getting food here, which is NUTS since Taco Bell is notorious for being quick. Do yourself a favor and order on the other side of town, you'd get your food sooner.
google avatar

Joseph A.

Yelp
Omfg Taco Bell , k don't hate not gourmet by any stretch , but I wanted a Frozen Margarita or at least something that was close. The food was mediocre , and just one step up from a 7 11. regarding the food I normally get a craving box at Taco Bell which is a really great value , and another reason to use your phone AP if it's available. But I really wanted a frozen booze drink , which was okay , and it hit the spot. btw the drinks are not super strong , but if you want more buzz you could just buy the freeze and add the booze at home or bring it with you. Few things hit the spot like adding some Rum , Vodka , Tequila , etc to a Freeze.

Yelp
Dude this is Taco Bell Cantina at least 3,6 stars No more to add but I just order DoorDash delivery from here

Nick P.

Yelp
I've ordered from this Taco Bell multiple times. I guess you could say I'm a glutton for punishment, but I genuinely like Taco Bell (and this is the only one in the city I can order from now that the one at Potrero is gone). EVERY time I order from these guys, they either: 1. Get the order wrong OR put like 1 packet of sauce in for an order of 4 tacos. OR 2. The order takes FOREVER to get completed and the poor Doordash driver spends way too long just waiting for them to complete the order. Usually a combination of the above if I'm being honest. The one star here isn't necessarily for the food(let's be real. It's Taco Bell for pete's sake). It's for a multitude of orders where they don't pay attention to the order and the fact that drivers get stuck there waiting for WAY too long. If you order from here, don't expect the order to be correct AND to you in a reasonable amount of time. Maybe they really shouldn't be on the apps if they can't handle the volume of orders...
google avatar

Jennifer Y.

Yelp
This very location is where I had Taco Bell for the first time ever!! I went 24 years without having Taco Bell which is probably a good thing but wow Taco Bell is so good! I got the doritos and cool ranch crunchy tacos. Honestly the star of the show is the sauces. Fire is my favorite. I normally can't really handle my spice but fire isn't too hot! The service is what you expect out of a fast food restaurant so you can't really complain but the food came out very quickly so that was nice. This location is pretty close to a lot of bars and AT&T park which makes it a great drunchies spot.
google avatar

Yelp
I understand it's Saturday night and it's busy, I ordered online ahead of time, I got to the restaurant after 10 mins and waited, after 15 minutes got a notification that it was ready so I headed to the pick up window, where there are dozens of door dashers waiting, I specified that my order was NOT door dash, the employee seemed confused and asked other employees, they said it wasn't ready, after 3 times asking and 40 mins longer, the "manager" got frustrated and started asking us to cancel our orders (???) he even closed the window on us! I went back to my car, and then my partner went back up to the window, he asked to be let in the lobby, since they had closed, they did and they told him the order had been ready for a long time and they called it thee times, are you kidding me? I'm sorry i didn't get the name of the shot white manager, but dude. You need a different job
google avatar

Marcelino L.

Yelp
I order from DoorDash and my DoorDash guy show up just a drink, but no supreme tacos or three supreme tacos combo order. I wasted my money of $24.39! WTF! I have been calling, but no response! Something about enter your code. What F$@king code!?!? This is address Taco Bell 710 3rd St San Francisco, CA 94107. Where is my food?!?! Where is my refund!

Yelp
This Taco Bell gets 3 stars for great service: Cheerful, welcoming though looking at the sad contents in the bag, it sure didn't look like $9 worth of (fast) food. It was the #10 meal. Maybe they gave me someone else's lunch? I was home already, what was I gonna do? Two thin crunchy tacos mostly filled with iceberg lettuce and some mealy beef paste took the edge off my hunger. I didn't taste any cheese though I saw a teeny tiny dice of tomato. I poured three packets of their hot sauce on them to bump up the flavor: it was bland. The third taco was wrapped in some soft, chewy dough over the regular hard shell taco and it was inedible. It was like chewing through a thick wad of wet paper towels. I tossed it in the bag to compost later. That and a bucket cup of Diet Pepsi was a $9 meal. Really? This Taco Bell's close proximity to AT&T park and being able to send your order via mobile and pick up at the convenient sidewalk window guarantee this location will continue to ka-ching. I might be inspired by AT&T Park being a block away but I'll guarantee this: My third time at a Taco Bell and "Three strikes and.....you're OUT." Swing batter!

Yelp
Keeping it real no idea why this is low rated. This is my goto place for lunch to save money and they always make my order correctly. During my first 6 months in SF, went here a lot cuz it was one of the few affordable places around work area and it helped a lot. Also, good place to visit before giants game so you don't pay 18-30 dollars for food and drinks. They always make my mobile order on time and correctly so no complaints here.

Grace G.

Yelp
What an absolutely horrible experience from start to finish. When my husband and I entered the restaurant, there were four orders ahead of us. Everyone got their food except one black man. He said he had been waiting 20 minutes and asked the staff for an update with no response. As he grew impatient, he asked for a refund. They grabbed a paper bag that had been sitting near them for who knows how long and pushed it towards him. He pushed it back and asked for a refund. The female cashier and two of the female food preps laughed loudly and spoke in Spanish with no apology. He was upset, and rightfully so. That behavior is extremely unprofessional. I ordered three items, two of which included pulled beef. When I came to the car to eat, I realized I had received ground beef instead. My husband said he could go back while I eat my other item. When he told the cashier, she said they substituted it because they don't have pulled beef. Why wasn't that mentioned when placing the order? He asked for the money back for those two items, and Estrella, the manager, came over to do the return. Afterward, he asked for a copy of the return receipt. When he came back to the car, he realized the cashier gave him someone else's return receipt. By this time, I was done eating, so I went back with him to get the right one. The cashier and manager said they couldn't provide his return receipt, but he could take a picture of their copy. I'm not sure if this is legit or legal. When he asked why the cashier gave him a return receipt for someone else, then she started mumbling and had no answer. When he asked for the manager's name, the cashier said she had forgotten until she realized the manager's name was logged into the register. The cashier's name is Sandra. I only know this because another employee called her by that name while we were waiting there. Otherwise, I am sure Sandra would have forgotten her own name as well. On top of all this, the beans in the one item I did consume tasted funky. A staff overhaul is needed at this location. I won't be coming back here again. It's pretty bad.
google avatar

Megan G.

Yelp
I wish I could give less than a star. This Taco Bell messes up my order 4.5/5 times. They substitute things in our order without asking and disregard dietary needs entirely. Do not eat here if you are vegetarian/vegan. You will 100% get beef in your "veggie" burrito.
google avatar

Greg B.

Yelp
Open during COVID-19 until 10pm each day. Everything you expected from Taco Bell. For some, that's a great thing, for some, not so much - it's your call! We waited about 10+ minutes for our food, which seemed like a long time. They forgot two items from the order - the soda and extra cheese - and we didn't realize until we got home. Unfortunately, there's no longer any loading zone near Taco Bell for easy pick up, it's been replaced by a bike rental stand. My stomach has been a bit uneasy since eating it, but that was fully expected =D
google avatar

Dorothy B.

Yelp
My first order was messed up. I walked back in and it was immediately fixed with no questions (there was someone training). I thought that was nice. They have free wifi. I also liked how you can see the people fixing your food through the glass. This location has charging stations. Street and garage parking. Even though there was a mistake, I would still come here again for a quick fix. I like their California crunch wrap. It's a regular crunch wrap with guacamole.
google avatar

JUSTIN P.

Yelp
This location and all others seriously need to remove themselves from the food delivery apps if they cannot handle the volume of orders received. Anytime we place an order, we are given false expectation of available time. Whether it is for delivery or pick-up, the issue is the same. I feel terrible for the workers inside who have to deal with this on a consistent basis.
google avatar

Chris M.

Yelp
I have to admit that I like Taco Bell. I know that this isn't a popular thing that many people will readily admit. However, I think that Taco Bell offers some tasty food for the price. Most Taco Bell locations are nearly identical. This one is different -- because it is one of those "Taco Bell Cantina" locations. For the most part, it is an upscale Taco Bell but with regular Taco Bell prices. Unfortunately, everything else at this Taco Bell is frustrating. The line and wait time can be excruciating. Yet, despite the long wait, my orders have been wrong nine out of the previous ten attempts. The dining room is almost always dirty too. I can forgive a dirty dining room when the place is busy. However, this place is dirty when there aren't many customers too. Customer service is in need of serious improvement. I've been ignored while waiting in line for a long time. Sometimes, the employees come across as annoyed when helping customers. It is the perennial camping site for panhandlers. When asked for money for "tacos," I've purchased food for a few of them. One guy literally threw the food and soda at me. Still, the food is quintessential Taco Bell cuisine. The location is convenient when you're looking to eat something cheap South of Market or on the way to CalTrain or AT&T Park. In fact, this is a great spot to pick up food for Giants games. I just wish that Taco Bell would train the workers better. Train the employees to be amicable with patrons. If a place is this busy, assign an employee to focus on cleaning the tables and bathrooms.

Yelp
Came here on a Wednesday around 6pm. The line was short and I was able to order my tacos and burritos pretty quickly with the cashier. Got my food in a few minutes. This is like a typical Taco Bell, but a lot nicer looking inside. Still feels dirty and grimy though, as if they don't wipe down the tables. There are touch screen machines for ordering if you don't want to talk to the cashier. I also ordered a taco here through the Taco Bell mobile app, but the UI is bad and doesn't say when and where to pick it up. I went to the cashier and showed her my mobile app order and she had to ask someone else what to do (my taco was just sitting in a bag behind her).

Yelp
I usually don't review taco bells but I felt like I had to give this one a review just because of how disorganized it is. This is one of the busiest taco bells I've ever visited. It's one of those "Taco Bell Cantinas" so the interior is a bit more upscale than a typical Taco Bell. However, it gets super crowded during lunch from all the customers who work nearby. As a result, the inside is really messy and unkempt. The kitchen area where they assemble the food is a complete mess with lettuce and taco seasoning everywhere. The sauce packet area is usually empty and the floors are littered with food/trash. Try to avoid, or at least don't come during lunch.
google avatar

Michael C.

Yelp
Avoid this place if you can... I thought I was picking up a quick snack...sooo wrong!! Couldn't be more wrong if I tried!!! 35 mi wait. WTF?! Understaffed and super slow... Avoid this place at all costs! Worst Taco Bell ever...
google avatar

Alice C.

Yelp
Not sure why many taco bell locations on food delivery apps don't have the full menu but it seemed like this location did. I ordered via UberEats and they followed my order and instructions perfectly. Their tacos also tasted freshly made and were generous on the toppings. Definitely satisfied my taco bell craving and had a good experience ordering from here.

Yelp
Woof. I was dragged here by a buddy of mine who loves Taco Bell and had never been to a "cantina" concept before. Despite his enthusiasm, I was reluctant to give it a go. Unfortunately, I did. I figured that if I was going to eat there, I might as well go all out and try one of their new "concept" foods. That said, I ordered some chicken shelled taco thing and it might have been one of the worst displays of American ingenuity I've ever seen. I took one bite and that was enough for me. I mean, who in their right mind would have thought of something like that? It was terrible. On top of the poor food, the service team was unenthusiastic, rude and slow. I mean, I can't blame them but, it's still a job. Hard pass.

Yelp
It was open on a Sunday afternoon and we had not had Taco Bell in ages so we were very happy Tostado, bean burrito, cheesy crunchy Gordita Everything was fresh and the wait was less than five minutes

Yelp
One star for good location. Zero stars for everything else. The cashier taking the order was super slow, and frankly just didn't care about his job. While I was waiting for my food, there are a lot of people just bumming around. Some homeless, some not. But it definitely smelled like homeless in there. Then the people preparing the food are unbelievably inefficient. Except for maybe the guy who does the final wrapping and calls up our order number. But there was a middle line guy and he just moved things from one side to the other. He took his sweet time putting lettuce in the taco. Then cheese. I think the girl next to him was impatient bc she even put cheese in the taco he was preparing. Does management not care about or measure efficiency? I haven't gone to this Taco Bell in almost a year, and I probably will boycott for another year at least until management cleans up the operations.
