Taco Palenque NW Austin

It was my first time here today. All the food I tried was delicious. There’s a couple items missing from my meal but Elizabeth was very helpful and understanding. Everything came out at a reasonable time and tasted great! The service was wonderful. The quality is also good for the prices. They also have substantial amount of salsa to choose from with complementary chips. I genuinely have no complaints. Everything taste extremely fresh.

I visited this establishment to enjoy some tacos and a large rice, but unfortunately my experience was far from pleasant. First and foremost, the customer service was extremely disappointing. My order was incorrect, and when I brought it to their attention, I was met with attitude instead of assistance. To make matters worse, I witnessed them spitting in my food before it was handed to me. At that point, I requested a refund. I've tried contacting them multiple times via phone and email, but my efforts have gone unanswered.

Taco Palenque always comes through in the clutch. Best spot for some late night eats. Also one of the few places to get fideo. Fajitas are good, panchos, breakfast tacos. It’s all good.

I don’t know why I keep giving these places a chance. Love when I have to go home and recook my breakfast taco filling because they served basically raw potatoes…. And of course no cheese was put on them. I give up on this place.

Many of these reviews are suspiciously glowing. My objective opinion is that lunch is too expensive. Much better deals are available nearby. Breakfast tacos however were a good deal. Quick, fresh made and delicious.

We eat here at least twice a week. The food is so good. Migas, fideo, rice, chicken fajitas, soups are just some of the dishes we have had and love. Nothing disappoints! It doesn’t feel or taste like fast food. On top of all of that, Elizabeth is amazing!!! She treats everyone with such kindness. What an asset to their organization and our community!! Would give her 10 stars!!

The food is good. However, sometimes I am asked to pull past the window to the door even though there is no one behind me. This does not happen every time. Only when certain people are working the window, like this morning at 9:30am. I am not sure why they do this. Is it to give ownership the impression they are faster than they actually are? It makes me uncomfortable and makes me wonder what the actual motive is. Do they not want me to see something they are doing to my food. The food still came out just as fast as it does when I sit at the window. And no one was behind me still when he walked the extra distance out the door to give me my order. I don't feel like this is good customer service.

I've been to this location twice. First time, the chip bar was not maintained. Chips were stale, needed to be more tidy. Last night I returned with family members. Chip bar still not maintained as in the restaurant wasn't crowded, and the bar was sloppy with only minimal chips available. We ordered at the kiosk and didn't get our drink cups with our food order. That process could be streamlined by using a sign to have customers go get a cup if that's what is expected. With a few tweaks, this place will be amazing. Great food, nice employees, just needs a touch more oversight.
