Taco Time NW's White Center location is a chrome-covered original - Review - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Local fast food aficionados should note that the first Taco Time Northwest restaurant opened here in 1962 (not to be confused with the now-separate Oregon-based chain that started two years prior). It had more of an earth tone theme at the time, but today, the shiny chrome exterior catches the sun when the skies are clear. The drive-thru is efficient, with an entrance conveniently located away from the main drag of 16th Avenue. And a few tables are inside for those who want to sit down and absorb the nostalgia, because there's something about having a crisp burrito in a place that's almost as old as the Space Needle that makes it taste that much better." - Gabe Guarente

Google
I'm giving this five stars because the team working the drive thru that handled my order was quick, efficient, friendly and polite. You guys rock and my order was just perfect. Thank you!

Google
Literally, how hard is it to include the sauce that comes with the Taco Salad? Don't go here. I would have been better off just trying to eat the money I spent on the food. 👎🏻

Google
This review is for The Taco Time location located in White Center. Overall, not bad, food is fresh like other Taco Time locations and there's a fair amount of parking space located in the back. Good place for a quick bite if you're in a hurry.

Google
My visit to White Center Taco Time Today was excellent. I ordered a Chicken Tostado Salad. It had a generous amount of chicken and beans, and just the proper amount of lettuce. Also ordered the tater fries, they were crisp and light. Not heavy or greasy. They were the best I've ever had at any Taco Time. I had opportunity to have my order, taken by "R e n a e" the manager. She was friendly, and order came quick and hot. She also told me she became the manager there WC at beginning of pandemic. She has made many positive changes since taking charge there. The place was clean and bright. Tables and floors very clean. I will go back again when in White Center. Lots of parking in back of restaurant as well. 🌮

Google
It’s a taco time, food is standard. Only worth going to this location if you use drive thru or mobile orders. Every time I come in and try to order at the front no one greets at all, no “hey I’ll be with you in a second”, they just glance up at you like a deer in headlights and go back to food prep. I’ve stood for over ten minutes without acknowledgement before. Today I stood without acknowledgement for a while and ended up just walking away without ordering because nobody bothered to speak a word. EDIT: tried again today and sat down at the booty only to realize the booth and floor were SWARMING with literally HUNDREDS of ants. Let them know and suggested she spray some cleaning on there. She told me it was “impossible” and told me to just move to a table. Genuinely what is going on how has this location not been shut down.

Google
Service is inconsistent but helpful. Food is good and pretty reasonably priced. Eating in workers are rarely there to meet you at the door but overall helpful.

Google
their food is so amazing. I absolutely love their tacos, their beans and rice. Their salsa is pretty good. The tater tots are really crispy and full of flavor. The people that are very friendly and nice and the atmosphere is good.

Google
They are preparing Rodney where the food is being prepared, big-time health violation

Yelp
10:30am visit right at opening, to the pnw original location in White Center. The lobby is clean, I feel safe, service was friendly. I am enjoying the piping hot iconic crispy burrito mini meal. Life is good. Today is my first time inside, but I have been through the drive thru many times and the crisp burrito meals are always perfect. I would, and have, taken out of town visitors to Taco Time for a crisp chicken burrito.

Yelp
When I am away from my neighborhood, sometimes I am conflicted. I want Mexican food and remember how good Taco Time used to be and a wish and pray that I may stumble on a location still using the original recipe's. I have come to the realization the past is not coming back. The beef used to be zesty and savory and now it's either bland or salty, and it doesn't take like quality meat. The Ranch dressing used to have a zip with a kiss of dill and now it tastes like watered down yogurt. The hot sauce used to kick and you could see the fine diced veggies in it. Now it's tart, tangy and taste gelatin based. Even worse, you can't self-serve it, so they even charge you for this poor imitation. The mexi fries used to have a rich earthy potato flavor, now they taste like the oil they were cooked in, because they have gone to low quality suppliers. When you also consider they spent a ton of money to remodel locations that looked and felt fine and moved to a new corporate space, then passed all of those costs on to consumers... The taco mini meal is about $10. That taco is about 2, the drink is also about $2 and the fries $3, and that other $3 is how we are being overcharged, especially when nothing taste good or fresh. There are full service restaurants that have a %10 lunch special which would be a Taco, or Enchilada, rice beans and unlimited chips and salsa. Which would you choose? On this trip, I got a soft taco, with extra beef. I'd ask someone to explain how my taco was smaller than it used to be without extra beef. You used to need both hands to hold this item, now it's seriously half the size with far more lettuce filler. Taco Time used to be top tier, now nothing separates them from Taco Bell. I hope locations continue to pull down low review scores. It will send a message that this garbage can't pass as food.

Yelp
Only gave them one star because you have to give them a star in order to leave a review. From the Pacific Northwest been a TacoTime customer for over 40 years! I have watched them steadily go down the drain, circling the drain of Mexican fast food death right behind Jack-in-the-Box!! You can't get quality service there anymore!! When you ask for the manager they give you some one from the back room who's an illegal and can't speak English who just argues with you and treats you like crap!! These employees have absolutely no decorum, no skills, no customer service abilities whatsoever. The FOOD has become OVERPRICED FROZEN REHEAT! The Lobby first thing in the day FILTHY!! Bathroom FILTHY!! Like NO ONE CLOSES PROPERLY ANYMORE!! TACO TIME NEEDS TO TAKE OUT THE GARBAGE HUMANS OPERATING THE SHITSHOW! GO WOKE GO BROKE TACOTIME!

Yelp
Went to this Taco Time NW for the first time yesterday. This is the first original Taco Time NW location in Washington which opened on October 17, 1962. I tried their new limited edition Taco Burger which has veggie, chicken and beef options. You can get a combo with tater tots and soda. You can also add hot sauce for free which was delicious. We also tried their platter and a crispy burrito both of which I recommend. The highlight was their ranch sauce and their hot sauce. All of their stuff is local to Washington which is nice. They are also carbon neutral and most of the silverware and plates were compostable which is very environmentally friendly. The servers were very prompt and friendly. Hit them up if you are craving some hot fast food.

Yelp
I'm not sure all restaurants are going downhill but this one is getting much much worse every time. They're severely under staffed which I know sometimes cannot be helped, but the quality of food is horrific. My chicken soft taco was practically no meat and almost all lettuce. I don't know what happened to the tater tots but I don't think they're draining them properly because the heaviness of the grease is overwhelming. And beyond that they really don't have any seasoning anymore either. They used to be really good. The only reason I come here is because I have a family member that works nearby and sometimes I need to kill time and there's not many places in White Center to do that. That being said if you're going to order anything off the menu here skip the tater tots, get a casita burrito those aren't too terribly bad. I will not be responding to management. I've said what I've said here and that's all that needs to be done. Maybe look at some of the quality of the food that's being put out and perhaps the people need to be better trained. PS: Summer is over. It's time to turn down the air conditioning and maybe a little warmth be in the main part of your restaurant. Felt like I was sitting in a refrigerator the whole time I was in there.

Yelp
Update after 4 years. You've improved! Up from the 1 star to now four, which is good enough that we no longer drive up to the junction taco time to avoid this place. Still get things wrong but less than 10% which is decent for fast food. Thank you for getting better

Yelp
As far as Taco Times go, I'll drive seven miles to the next closest one because this location has gotten my order wrong every time, which usually results in me having to go back to get the correct order and what should've been a 10 min trip ends up being like 30.

Yelp
Always a go to for me. Friendly staff, clean inside, great food. It's hard to have 85 words to post.

Yelp
Unbelievable! I ordered a beef tostada salad, two crisp burritos (one chicken one beef), 1 medium tater fry. When I get home (10-15 minutes) we ended up with 2 SOGGY BURRITOS, MEDIUM COLD TATER FRIES and a 3-4 INCH HAIR IN MY BEEF TOSTADA SALAD. As a long time local, I definitely will not be coming back here nor recommend this location. Sorry White Center Taco Time, you earned this review. One too many not so much moments. I should have stuck with old faithful in W. Seattle.

Yelp
Having grown up on Taco Time from my first experience at their Nothgate location in the mid 70s, Taco Time has always been my go-to. I'll always have great memories about how everything was hand made, they even deep fried all their own taco shells and taco salad bowls, you could smell a taco time for blocks away. The hot sauce so good one could drink it straight. I went through the drive thru 2 days ago and what I received was basically dog food. A crispy chicken burrito that was under cook as well as the Mexifries which I received cold and mushy. Just look at the lack of browning/cooking in the pictures. I took a couple of bites and had to toss it and make dinner. I won't be giving TT any more of my $$$ and I haven't had the best of meals served out of this location. I'm starting to think that taco time is on its way out. Because it's checked-out. Well, It's with a heavy heart that I announce the death of Taco Time. taco time passed away kicking and screaming but surrounded by longtime customers and new patrons alike after a long battle with inconsistencies and lack of integrity. Since Taco Time has passed on, you should pass on Taco Time. Save yourself the disappointment. This place sucks anymore.

Yelp
Anytime is a Taco Time and it shows! I've been dining at Taco Time forever and it's always unbelievable. Come on nobody makes a crisp beef burrito like taco time does... The flakiness of the deep fried crust and meat grease all blend together to make on of the finest fast food delicacies on the planet! Even the crispy bean burrito is awesome and it shows! Taco Times menu is a culinary delight for all foodies. Some of my highlights I enjoy are the Mexi Fries, Soft Taco and plain regular Crispy Taco are just many of the wonderful tasty treats you can order. And if you just wanna nibble, well they serve half size orders for your cravings... If you grew up in the NW then you know what I'm talking about... And those thinking about trying it, don't think just do! Viva Taco Time!

Yelp
Update! To Brandon I did put my concern through to tacotimenw.com and was in contact with Amy M relations coordinator and she never followed through with what she said she'd be doing for me so at this point I am extremely disappointed with Taco Time NW. I have emails between her and I that I can share with you and others too if you'd like to see proof that the ball has been dropped within this situation. As of 12/29 was my last message that I re-sent because I heard nothing back from Amy Myles.

Yelp
Some years ago this location was fine and as good as any other Taco Time, but it's gone to total crap over the past few years. This it the closest location to us, and I'm never going there again. No one else should either, because the complaints here on this Yelp page have been non-stop for most of this year but it just keeps getting worse. Obviously Taco Time has abandoned this location so we should too. The orders are annoying just wrong or very wrong consistently, and it's getting worse, and then tonight, they managed to screw up my son's order twice in one order, and my wife's once... ...and each had Mystery Food Items added to their order. Like IN the food. My son's order was easy -- kid's chicken nuggets with Mexi-fries. Oops, except he just got two boxes of Mexi-fries. Oh, and his ranch cup had a mystery vegetable chunk in it. My wife had the classic chicken burrito, which comes with pinto beans. It had this weird chewy black pea-shaped thing, which maybe is a messed up... black bean? I have no idea; it's disgusting. It went in her mouth. What the hell is it? I have no idea. I left it on the paper towel and put it in the fridge in a baggie for safe keeping. Taco Time, this location, has totally fallen apart and corporate doesn't seem to give a damn. They need to clean house BAD. Sorry. I'm also going to call the King County Department of Health on Monday. If Taco Time responds to this with the nice comments they leave telling people to go to their feedback site: I already did. I gave you the link to this review. I mailed your info@ address too. How about you just FIX this place? Is the management there like protected or something? You know what's broken. Fix it.

Yelp
This is what I consider the 'fancy' Taco Bell. Everyone here is so kind and they actually bring the food out to your table! I ordered their nacho plate with a side of mexi fries (tater tots). They were both enjoyable but what blew me away the most was how cheap everything was for the quality of food that I received. I spent less than $8 and could not even finish the food! Definitely recommend!

Yelp
The older I get, the less I know. For instance, how does Taco Time in White Center create a good-tasting meal for $8.00 in a very clean environment, staffed with good and pleasant kids? My MexiPlatter was served on an actual FiestaWare plate, right to my table, and not in five minutes. Closer to ten minutes. I appreciated that, because I watched the entire process. The people in the kitchen looked like they actually cared about the food's taste and appearance. A young man engaged in conversation while he wiped down tables. Everything was worth the price, if not more than. I'll certainly return. I'm just sorry this was my first time here since moving to Seattle from Montana in 2001. I won't wait another 18 years for another perfect Sunday evening:

Yelp
White Center, and I'm going to Taco Time for dinner? We probably have 15 better Mexican options within blocks! I need dinner for the family quick, want a crisp beef burrito, don't want to get out of my truck, and haven't been drunk enough to go to Taco Bell for, well, a really long time. So unless there is a drive up Taco Truck, the TT drive thru wins. Seriously, is there a drive thru taco truck? Did I just come up with the next big thing since food truck pods?? Waiting in line for my order I contemplated writing about how they ALWAYS mess up my order. Then I thought that was probably too harsh, maybe it's only like 50% of the time. But hey, it's probably my fault for ordering for 4-6 people while in the drive thru. Perhaps they should have a maximum two meals per car, bet the error rate/car would plummet. I get to the window and find out one of the kids meals ordered doesn't come with a toy any more. OK, but the other one should, but they put crustos in that one. Guy added a cool sticky hand to the order. He's got 5 beverages to give me and wants to know if I'd like a drink carrier, nah - I'll just hold them between my legs. Then hands me the bags of food. Since he asked me if I wanted hot sauce earlier, and I said 3, I asked him if he put them in there. He said yes, but hesitated a little, uh oh. I drive away and hope for the best when I get home. Get home, no napkins, no ketchup for the tater tots, or HOT SAUCE. The two Crisp BEAN burritos are Beef, not good for the vegetarian, and the chicken taco salad is a joke, what is this little thing with 2oz of lettuce? The receipt looks like what I got, just not what I ordered.. But that was probably my fault too. I was too busy trying to check in here while I was ordering that I really didn't pay attention to what was popping up on the order screen. I used to really like this Taco Time. I think the quality of the vegies are pretty high, but the meat quality/quantity has been sliding for years. This place also used to have really good (free) salsa fresca available, but now it's just that viscous hot sauce. It is what it is, this place is a solid 3 when dining in, plus I get to play with the 100 flavors of pop that way. It's not on my banned list, yet.

Yelp
Staff was NOT helpful at all. I ordered the new cilantro lime chicken salad and asked for certain items to be left off, however they were put on the salad anyway. I had to ask for the dressing as they didn't put it with the salad. The tables had not been bussed and the garbage cans were full. When I went to the counter to ask for my salad to be remade and get the dressing...the staff ignored me. I finally raised my voice and a lady in the back heard me...she acted like I was putting her out and then finally said something to another staff member (in another language) and then three of them tcame to the counter. It was odd and uncomfortable. I am unsure if this Taco Time will get my business again. I am always treated well at the one in Georgetown and the one in Lakewood...but here...Nope.
google avatar

Tony J.

Yelp
The quality at this location has bee in steady decline for a while now. Against my better judgement, I agreed to get food here for my family. Soft tacos look like they were thrown together haphazardly with however much or little filling the preparer felt like adding. Mexi fries are somehow fried looking like they've been bleached. How that works, I don't know. The worst (or maybe the best) part of this is that I can get real, delicious Mexican food for less money from La Fondita in White Center. No more White Center Taco Time for me.
google avatar

Francesco L.

Yelp
Absolutely LOVE this place & have been coming here for about 6 years now. It is head and shoulders above Taco Bell any day of the week and the location is so convenient that it is a must. The service is usually very good and quick for the most part so no complaints there. The food and the quality in which it is made is on a whole different level compared to Taco Bell and other fast food places in general. I highly recommend the #3 Beef or chicken :))))
google avatar

Claudia V.

Yelp
Chick was rude, out of beans my wife doesn't eat meat and she offered beef, makes sense to me.
google avatar

Sarah V.

Yelp
Third time in a row I have ordered and paid for a beef burrito and gotten bean. It even says beef on the wrapper. Stay away from this taco Time it's terrible customer service.
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
Ive been going to this Taco Time since I was a child which is 30 plus years. If I owned this business I would be embarrassed to claim I owned this fast food chain. The last three times I sat in the Drive-Thru for 20 minutes per car including tonight which unfortunately is my last visit here. The quality of food is less an acceptable for the price you pay and the staff are young untrained and I'm concerned about the food I'm putting in my body. If I own this business or cared about it I would look at my staff and do a complete overhaul. We will not be back.

Nick S.

Yelp
They forget something I ordered half the time go there. This place is a total scam. Make sure you check your bag before you leave. I've made this mistake one to may times at this Taco Time specifically. I try to call to let them know, but they never answer their listed phone number. BEWARE they've taken about $50 in food I paid for in the drive through, yet never actually received.
google avatar

Yelp
This is one of those unfriendly places where you feel like the counter person is doing you a BIG favor by waiting on you. After giving me a curt response when I innocently asked why my meal cost so much, she put my change on the counter without counting it out, didn't bother to say thank you, nor did she give me a receipt. Hey, sorry to spoil your day by patronizing your business. --Terry M

Yelp
I'm the one that orders/sends my boyfriend to order the WEIRD tacos with no meat, substitute extra cheese instead of the meat. & it has been perfect every time! Thank you guys so much for satisfying my weird craving I will be back a lot more if they keep it up!
google avatar

Jessica H.

Yelp
Back in the day these guys used to be so amazing. I feel the service has slipped recently. Lately it seems like every time I go there is something wrong with my order. I won't say I won't ever come back because I love the food at taco time but it may be a while before I come back. Last night I ordered a tostada salad bowl. I usually ask for no beans and extra tomatoes, they got about half of that right. What made me a little irate was the tostada itself. It tasted like it had been sitting out for a few days too long. Taco Time advertises that they have the freshest food. What happened TT? I think if I go to Taco Time again I may just have to stick to the one in West Seattle. Way better customer service over there and they still haven't got any of my orders wrong.
google avatar

Brian ..

Yelp
This place is terrible. Pinto beans are usually dried out, mexi-fries are soggy, items are inconsistent in flavor, freshness, ingredients ratios, etc. Orders are often missing items and/or are plain wrong. The employees don't seem to care about good service. There are some really good Taco Time restaurants, but not this one. It was never great but now it's gotten so bad I'm never going back. Frankly they deserve to go out of business. By the way the service at Taco Bell up the street is solid.
google avatar

Justin H.

Yelp
I always think Taco Time is on the pricey side, especially with all the locally owned restaurants that have popped up offering great food for cheaper price. With that said.. I do like me some Taco Time once in a while and also like so support our local chains. I really like their chicken soft tacos and mexi fries..with a side of their ranch (sour cream mixed with ranch). Their tostada salads are good, its the typical taco salad with the shell, as opposed to their version of a taco salad which doesn't have the shell...confused yet? Good call from the other reviewer that said this is the original location, I heard that before but wasn't sure if I was told a lie or not but now it sounds like it is true.

Yelp
Taco Time has always been my preferred fast-food place, WAY better than Taco Bell. I used to live in Wallingford, and the location there is well-staffed, friendly, efficient, and never messed up an order. I moved to West Seattle recently and was happy to see a Taco Time close by. I've been six or seven times so far, and the experience has been OK to bad each time. First of all, tangent: If you are ordering for more than two people (maybe two people and a kid) GO INSIDE! The drive though is meant for fast orders, in and out quickly, so your stupid mini van with it's 8 occupants all ordering value meals is ridiculously rude. Walk your fat butts inside and order your huge family-style meal without holding up the cars behind you. Jesus. OK, rant over. But, that being said, these guys have a huge parking lot and there's no reason they can't convert one of the spots to a waiting area spot like McDonald's does sometimes to keep the line moving. Almost every time I've gone, I've spent at least 15 minutes in the drive through. Once, I spend almost a half an hour. That's completely unacceptable. They obviously have a staffing issue, in that there is never enough staff. And the staff they do have working, are indifferent at best and often dismissive. Food quality has always been OK, although I got a soft beef burrito once that had a strange soapy type flavor I could quite recognize. I threw it away and had mexi-fries for dinner that night. Also, the mexi-fries sometimes seem undercooked. All-in-all, I don't set my expectations high for a fast food joint, but they've got to do something to improve wait times, especially in the drive through. I doubt they're reading this Yelp! page though...
google avatar

Melanie E.

Yelp
If it were possible to give no stars I would. I comment nothing until now because I can't take the screws up anymore....I have been here maybe 6 times, 4 out of those times I have gotten the wrong order. I am always hopeful they won't F it up but alas... this time I went in to get it, rather the. Drive through. It being FISH TACOS, what part of that sounds like BEEF??? Cold beef no less AND they had no salsa in the dispenser... I am yet again disappointed in this location. Get it together people! WTH...? Never will I go back I will drive to another one that doesn't do this time and time again.
google avatar

Jeff S.

Yelp
Done with this location, Burien service is much better, over all a sad value for your money here, they raise prices so much is almost funny, Taco time does not care whatsoever about their customers. Corporate has no idea here, what other fast food no sales, crisp burrito last price increase was nearly 20% ,and tacos over $2.00 lol.. but beside the rant, white center is super slow and they don't even know how to make crustos, the whole batch they had there had little to no cinnamon sugar..
google avatar

Becky T.

Yelp
This place used to be the best Taco Time around. Came here while in town expecting the best, very dissatisfied. Cold tots with some of them burnt. It was like they had been sitting around for hours. No ice in the ice machine. Ordered a tostada salad got the taco salad. Ordered 2 fish tacos, got one (only charged for one). No hot sauce or ketchup out, had to wait and ask staff for some. Fish taco "not great" said hubby. Won't be craving Taco Time for a very long time, if ever.
google avatar

Kimberly S.

Yelp
This place has gone down hill in the last year. I keep revisiting it thinking that it was a fluke but after 3 plus times of having bad tasting, cold food. Wilted lettuce bad smelling crustos I'm officially done with that place.

Richard F.

Yelp
I have never had a problem or witnessed one at this Taco Time and for a fast food place in White Center that is saying a whole lot. Staff is quick and plesant, what I do notice is that they have a more older staff which explains the better service and temperment. Usually fast quick and easy, hopefully it stays that way

Yelp
Been to this restaurant 2 times, gave it a second try and as expected the order was wrong. How hard is it to know the difference between a chicken soft taco, and a crispy burrito. I wont be back cashiers response to the order being wrong was thats whats on the screen. Left the order on the ground at the drive through and went down the street to Taco Bell. They got the order correct the first time. REAL FUNNY YELP, ACTUAL CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE AND YOU HIDE THE REVIEW. CANT WAIT FOR THE MOVIE
google avatar

Yelp
When I'm in the mood for a natural soft taco I know where to go, Taco Time. This place is always a win, The food is always good and they have Mellow Yellow for a choice of drink, yum. Everyone there is nice, I usually always get the same person at the window, he's really nice and professional. One of the best things about this place is they always get your meal right, its not one of those things where you forget to check the bag and you find out you only received half of your order. I wish their drive through lane was designed a little better but it has always been a short tight turn there.
google avatar

Jaynne L.

Yelp
I enjoy the taco time here. I never really had taco time until I came to WA, but it's like an upgrade from taco bell. Their ingredients actually taste like quality ingredients. I've tried various food from their menu, but so far I like their crispy tacos and their burritos. They're both very filling and hot when I get them (usually through the drive thru). The customer service is okay...they sound kind of like on auto-pilot, but I used to work in fast food so I know how that goes.
google avatar

Marcy N.

Yelp
As you might notice Taco Time is my favorite "fast food" type of restaurant. I have eaten at many Taco Times. This location is probably my least favorite. The people who work here are very nice and friendly but the seating area is very old and outdated. The bathroom is a one person at a time deal. I have found that normally the food prep is very consistent between each Taco Time however at this location my food is prepared it's "sloppy". The portions seem quite a bit smaller than at other Taco Times. They still charge a .37 surcharge for using a debit card.

Yelp
Yeah, I with Ms. Wanda. I can eat Taco Time for 3 squares a day and this is the only one I found to be the best! I come from the Beacon Hill area passing 2 Taco Times on my way. Always good service, the food tastes better (go figure), my order is correct and the staff is super friendly even when I am a grouch! Keep it up guys! The only drawback is that they raise the prices to much (at all of them). Stop it! Or I have to cut back. We are in a recession!

Yelp
The last time ! A couple weeks ago I ordered several meals all Pinto Bean at the drive through. When I got home , they were All Meat. . So I called and they offered to "make it right " the next time... Of course that all went into the recycle. I went in today to get the CORRECT meal.. When I got home once again it's all meat ! NO Thank you. And no I don't eat this either , Are they stupid or they just don't care ? I give up on this place.

Yelp
I really want to keep liking this Taco Time. I always have proportionate amount in my tacos and burritos. Mexi fries not always. The service is good sometimes and moody other times. The wait in the drive thru is long sometimes but I don't mind because I like my food fresh and hot. They were nice enough to wipe down the counters when I ordered a separate vegan order before. Over the last couple years slowly changing. Half the workers are not friendly. Last time my Mariner Team made a triple I went to pickup my medium mexi fries and received a small not medium from the manager. Maybe I'll try again. Another triple today

Yelp
Service is rapidly going downhill. Have eaten here many times, usually with good food and service. However, yesterday's visit was unfortunate. My significant other waited at the counter for several minutes with no acknowledgement from a TT employee, although several were present. While she was waiting futilely to be helped, I availed myself of some of their usually delicious hot sauce. The liquid that spurted out of the dispenser was very watery, not the consistency it normally is. I will stick with the Taco Time on 35th.

Yelp
This location is a mess, lighting in the store is too dim, even in the kitchen where low light is dangerous and unacceptable, especially being on 16th in White Center. The parking lot is usually riddled with trash, Mel is a great leader but the rest of the management team are irresponsible or unavailable. Do yourself a favor and go to the TacoTime in Burien, just a mile or so south from this location. If I could give this location fewer stars, I would.

Yelp
I love taco time, but this location has gone downhill. My food was cold and I felt like the drive thru orders were prioritized over all other orders. The employees also seemed pretty unhappy as well. If you want great taco time food, go to the West Seattle location.

Yelp
Decided to try this Taco Time despite the somewhat spotty reviews although it was encouraging that the more recent reviews were better. I tried their beef enchilada platter and my companion ordered two chicken crisp shelled tacos. We were both quite pleased with our dishes although, admittedly, we are not experts on this food. The prices were very competitive and staff was about as pleasant as one could expect. The restaurant was very clean, even what we could see of kitchen equipment looked clean. The decor is a couple steps above the usual expected of a fast food establishment and they have a huge private parking lot. We'll be back!

Yelp
I love Taco Time and this is normally our go-to location but for the past year we've reconsidered because of just one cashier. It's always the same lady when we go in (Christal) and when she was new we gave her a little slack but her attitude has not changed a bit. She always laughs to herself when you order, otherwise not smiling at all, moving very slow like she's thinking "get me out of this hell hole", and doesn't have any sort of urgency and friendliness in her body. Until she gets fired, we may not go to this location.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. The women working the drive-thru didn't give a fuck about her job. Gave me the wrong order and everything was cold when I got it. Taco time sucks

Yelp
Consistently good every time, staff is friendly. There aren't many places in White Center that I regularly return to; but this Taco Time is clean, well staffed and they always have gotten my "special" orders correct.

Yelp
I am writing because on 8/5/19 my mother & I went to pick up food from Taco Time at the White Center location and had experienced the worst treatment I've ever had from any food industry. It started in the drive through line when I was ordering, the lady kept rushing me & getting upset that we didn't know yet what dressing or what soda we wanted at that exact moment, but I kept my patience & respect towards her anyways. Once I went to pay it was a different lady so I didn't think much of the situation anymore because she was very nice. I paid with my card and then realized I wanted to use my app to earn points as well as get my free reward that I had, so I kindly asked is it okay to refund and pay with the app? Also there was not one person in the drive through line behind me and the parking lot was very empty so I felt okay about asking her to do that for me. The nice lady wasn't sure how to do it but said she would ask. As soon as she asked the rude lady comes to the window yelling at me & my mother saying "are you freaking serious!? That creates more work for me!" I was very confused as to why she was treating me this way. She continued to be upset with her actions and yelled at me again telling me "next time to remember to use the app first!" as if I am a child. Mind you my mother is very sick right now, she can't always eat and when she can I get excited to take her to get food and that day she wanted Taco Time. My mom is also allergic to beans so we asked for no beans & no tomatoes either because she has kidney failure and is a dialysis patient for life so those certain foods are not an option in her diet. Well my mother's salad bowl was full of beans & tomatoes so she couldn't even eat her food after all of that unnecessary drama. The next day I call to ask for the manager and it was the same lady being rude again telling me "she doesn't know when the manger will be back" & "thinks they're on vacation". So after all of this unprofessional behavior I decided to write in because I've never felt so disrespected & so disappointed from a restaurant or from a person. Most importantly I feel bad for my mother who can't always eat or eat whatever she wants and when she finally can this is the experience she gets. Hope something can be done to resolve this.
