"Local fast food aficionados should note that the first Taco Time Northwest restaurant opened here in 1962 (not to be confused with the now-separate Oregon-based chain that started two years prior). It had more of an earth tone theme at the time, but today, the shiny chrome exterior catches the sun when the skies are clear. The drive-thru is efficient, with an entrance conveniently located away from the main drag of 16th Avenue. And a few tables are inside for those who want to sit down and absorb the nostalgia, because there's something about having a crisp burrito in a place that's almost as old as the Space Needle that makes it taste that much better." - Gabe Guarente
