The Best Sonoran Hot Dogs in Phoenix, Arizona | Eater Phoenix

"Don Nico brings together taquería standards and Sonoran-dog riffs, each one tweaked just enough to stand out. The Damaso melts mozzarella straight into the bun before the bacon-wrapped frank goes in, a nod to the cheese-heavy street dogs found in Sonora’s beach towns. The Filidogo swaps in a swipe of Philadelphia cream cheese. The Asadogo adds chopped carne asada, while the Chilidogo tucks everything into a roasted California chile. The Hawaiiano offers a sweet take with chunks of pineapple and strips of ham folded into the mix. Each one clocks in under $8 and pairs well with the taco menu and well-stocked salsa bar." - McConnell Quinn

Very quaint little taco shop with a little salsa bar. But these are the best little “street tacos” that I’ve found in a Very Long Time!!! I’ve been twice already in a week and can’t wait to keep going back and trying everything! Two people =$16!

I’d give 10 Stars if I could. What a fabulous place. With great food. You get to dress them yourself. And the wife and I agree they’re as good as the Street Tacos you get down in southern San Diego area.

Sonora hotdogs are ok. The burrito was so shockingly bad. I've never had such bland Mexican food in my life. Very weird. I'm didn't expect much so I'm not too disappointed. Also they got my order wrong , so I ended up paying food i didn't order. And I ordered in Spanish so it wasn't a language barrier thing.

Honestly one of the best Mexican places I’ve had in my life. The meat NEVER disappoints and I’m always left satisfied. This place is amazing.

Been here a few times and quality of food and service is very good. We had Sonoran and Chilidog and both were very flavorful. Also had the nachos with everything on it and they were equally good. Worth a stop if you're near the area.
