Tacos del Barrio

LOVE their chicken tacos with just cilantro & onions. The pickled onions were a yummy bonus! Got horchata for my first time ever yesterday, it was SO yummy & much needed because that salsa verde is 🔥🥵 I did get the birria one time & while it was delicious it had way too much cheese for me. I appreciate that there is a shelter to eat under as well.

I thoroughly enjoyed my food. I got 1 barria taco and 2 steak tacos with light cheese. It was still a little too much cheese but it was good. I prefer the steak tacos over barria only because I like the solidness of the steak over the shredded beef. But it was soooooooo good. I will be back very soon. The atmosphere is cool too. It's right next to the car wash so there's always some pretty cool cars pulling in and out. Plenty of parking and they have an outdoor seating area. I dined right in my car.

I attended the Michigan Taco Fiesta at Lakeside. We selected this truck for based upon the menu. I chose the Ramen Birria. It was really good, but would have been top notch if it was hot. It was served lukewarm. Which annoyed me because, for $16 it should have been at least hot. The same applied to the Nachos and cheese for another $16. I would have said something, but being at a festival versus being in a restaurant was complex.

the food is great i love the birria tacos but the cashier from the morning, the skinny one has a horrible attitude and makes faces. she looks like she hates her job and honestly why work as a cashier if your customer service is horrible. she would not get off her phone and she’d pay more attention to her phone than to my order.

food is ok not the best asked for 2 chicken and 2 ground beef tacos the beef was hard and burnt not eatable like they gave me the scrapes of the pan. Not good. the chicken tacos were good. That's why they have a three rating. the meat is sometimes bland with no seasoning. the sauce that comes with it is terrible. I have come here a few times but and they can be better.

Yes, I have to put atmosphere because I was born and raised in southwest detroit. Located here in Southwest, Detroit, gotta give it up to them. They make the best tacos far as a food truck or taco truck experience for me Anyway.

Thanks for coming out to Lakeside tonight, food was delicious, corn was excellent! Can’t wait to meet my pops for lunch when I visit him in Detroit, I’m sure we’ll be stopping by. Keep up the good work guys!

I will never go there again the food was absolutely horrible nothing had any flavor in it the steak was so nasty my 2 year old wouldn't even eat it an and I usually feed her a taco dinner once or twice a week this is the whole thing she took one bite of the steak and spit it out it's absolutely nasty

Bring back El Parían! I i ordered the quesabirria taco and got sick the next day. Huge stomach ache. The birria tasted over cooked and chewy. It will be awhile before I give them another try.

I was at the Taco Fest on Sunday and looked on the sites Instagram page and they were voted best at fest, so I chose their truck. There were so many to choose from, I didn't know which one to pick. They were who I went with. I give them 3 stars because the meat was seasoned well, but it was dry. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and it had no cheese, so my quy went back to the truck and they gave him a small cup of shredded cheese. Didn't really understand that, but whatever. I definitely will not be trying to locate their food truck or recommending them.

This was worse than a one night stand. First, why am I waiting so long for food that once it arrives, it looks old. Second, why so much black pepper? Pro's: The salsa is good. The tortilla tastes good. The pretend "Birra" is about the only thing worth anyone's time. Con's: everything else...

We hosted a holiday event at our home. Tacos Del Barrio was AWESOME! Great food, great service. They took care of everything and more than we expected! Chris made recommendations which were really well made. The service was timed wonderfully so guests always had something different to try. Their truck came to our house and everything worked great. All our guests loved it! If you want to cater an event, go with Tacos Del Barrio!
