"Tacos El Gordo has finally opened its retro-style fourth location across the street from Town Square. The wildly popular Mexican fast-casual restaurant at 2560 W. Sunset Road serves several varieties of tacos in cafeteria-style queues, each for about $3.50. Favorites include the carne asada taco, al pastor with pineapple, and cheesy mulas. The newly constructed location on Sunset features several vibrant murals both inside and on the exterior. The restaurant is open from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily." - Janna Karel

"First revealed exactly a year ago, resubmitted paperwork indicates local institution Tacos El Gordo has not given up on creating a retro-styled, Mexican fast-casual restaurant on Sunset Road, conveniently placed across the street from Town Square. To be built from scratch on a now empty lot, early renderings by local firm GT/AD Studio hinted at a Southern-California design inspiration, including a distinctive angled roof. Tacos El Gordo filed updated permits earlier this month allocating an estimated $750,000 in construction costs to create the substantial 7,195-square-foot space, roomy enough for a maximum occupancy of 416. Located at the intersection with Windy Road and facing the northern entrance to the outdoor mall, initial plans made no reference to a drive-thru, but included two outdoor patios, 232 seats inside, and an extra 36 diners seated within nine booths, plus a section for orders placed at individual serving stations. A proposed opening date, or future operating hours have not been announced. Tacos El Gordo’s three incredibly popular local restaurants have all returned to action and late-night service on the Strip, at Losee Road in North Las Vegas, and downtown on Charleston Boulevard." - Bradley Martin

"The fast-casual dining institution Tacos El Gordo is currently only serving at its Losee Road and Charleston Boulevard locations from 11 a.m. to midnight. But during the shutdown, progress has been swiftly advancing to secure approvals for its fourth Las Vegas restaurant, headed very close to Town Square. Moving onto the former site of a junkyard at 2550 W. Sunset Road, the 7,497-square-foot space sits at the intersection with Windy Road and faces Texas de Brazil across the street at the northern side entrance to the outdoor mall." - Bradley Martin

The food was amazing. Everything was fresh and priced right. The tacos were as authentic as you could get with actual tortillas and rotisserie al pastor. Only ding to the rating is for seating. I was there solo and had luggage with me from my flight. There could have been more seats or a bar area to accommodate more. If you find a seat, you feel obligated to eat and run. I could have eaten the whole menu.

Google
The hype on this place DEFINITELY meets its expectations. An absolute must to come and eat the best street tacos you can find. Their menu is simple, yet unique in what they offer with different meat cuts and Mexican-style dishes. Was very impressed with how spacious it was here, and how much seating there is so you can enjoy your meal.

Google
The best Tacos El Gordo and exceptional tacos. It’s a bit intimidating to order if you don’t know what each of the items are. I would recommend getting just the regular tacos as they are the easiest to eat, but expect to get your hands messy either way. We normally go with the pork but the steak is very good too. One of the more affordable meals near the strip which makes this a 5 star for taste and value in the area. 5 star - Need to go! Would go out of way to come.

Google
Come with STRETCHY pants!!!! The tacos look small but the size deceives, they're PACKED with meat! The Carne Asada and Suadero are our FAVS! They have a plethora of cuts from Lengua to Tripe and all Beef and Pork parts in between. A myriad of traditional, fresh toppings to be had, along with flavored Aguafrescas and sodas. This is a no-frills, phenomenally-flavored Taco spot, that stays winning because they're just GOOD at what they do! *You only stand in the line of the taco you want. If you want a variety, just slide to the next stall.

Google
If you're looking for a taco place that delivers – generously filling tacos, with reasonable prices, then this spot is a must-visit. They don't skimp on the fillings, ensuring each bite is packed with flavor and substance. Whether you're a fan of classic carne asada, savory al pastor, or tripa, you can expect a hearty and satisfying portion. Definitely try the carne asada, has generous amount of guacamole. With handmade tortillas. Delicious!! You definitely won't leave hungry! What truly sets this place apart, is the organization and fast approach to delivering your food. Line up along the choice of meat selection and let them know what your choices are. Highly recommended for anyone craving a truly satisfying taco feast!

Google
After constantly seeing videos online of this place I had to go when visiting Vegas. Everything looked so good and I had to try it for myself. Let me tell you Tacos El Gordo did not let me down at all! The food was amazing! I loved the entire set up of the restaurant. Pick your type of meat and find the line that has it. I tried both tacos and sopes which were both great. Everything is prepared directly in front of you. Pick it right off the grill and chop it up then make what ever you ordered. All the staff was very friendly and even looked like they were having fun with it. Definitely gives a better feeling when employees look and act like they enjoy their job. The restaurant itself was very clean. It was very busy when we went and from the looks of it they are always busy. But the multiple lines makes things go much quicker. Once you get your food you walk it over to the cash register and pay. Next time I am in the area I will definitely be coming back and would absolutely recommend to everyone. In fact, I already have!!

Google
We've visited Tacos El Gordo all over the valley more times than we can count and the food never fails to impress. It's always bursting with flavor, from the perfectly seasoned carne asada to the melt in your mouth adobada. This new location blew us away. Unlike the other spots, which often feel packed to the brim with barely room to move, this one is incredibly spacious, modern, and inviting, with sleek decor and plenty of seating. We really wish the other locations could get this kind of stunning upgrade. The food quality, from the fresh tortillas to the zesty salsas, and the lightning fast service are just as phenomenal as ever. This is hands down our favorite taco spot, and we’re already craving our next visit!

Google
Best tacos in town, there's another location on the strip but be ready to stand in line outside on the weekends, then good luck finding a table. I visited the west location and it has on site parking, no line at whatever time you go and the food is always really good. Highly recommend it.

Yelp
The best tacos in town , you should try them , too bad they don't have them here in the inland empire

Yelp
This location is probably more accessible than the one near the strip due to having its own parking lot. Entering the place, you can see multiple lines for food of choice (mainly meat of choice). They also had other food items you can order such as fries. The lines were long and not as fast if the person in front orders a bunch of things. Since the lines were a bit long, we decided to order 6 beef options instead of waiting in line for the others. The tacos are tiny, flavor wise really depends on what meat you choose. You can also get it with or without salsa (green salsa is pretty spicy). Lots of onions and cilantro, tortillas were soft and held together nicely. The only one I didn't enjoy was the beef brain, I guess the aftertaste of the fat didn't suit me so well. Everything else was delicious. We also got a fountain drink and they had a series of specialty drinks such as horchata as non soda options. Overall, I'd come back and try their other items, we came for a taste as we had family dinner plans right after but wanted to come anyways for a bite. Restrooms are gendered and fairly clean.

Yelp
Visited on a Saturday around noon and was pleasantly surprised--no line or wait for a booth. The pastor tacos were a solid 4/5, packed with flavor and a nice kick. A slice of pineapple on top would have made them perfect. The asada taco, however, was a bit disappointing at 2.5/5. While the flavor was good, the meat was quite dry. Overall, great spot for pastor tacos!

Allen Y.

Yelp
Tacos El Gordo is my favorite taco place in Vegas and I am so glad they opened this new location. The one on the strip is always so crowded and the one by Maryland is a bit shady. Pros - great location off 215. Wide open space and seating. Good consistent taste of their tacos. Cons - none! Definitely check out their new place! Going to be one of my staples.

Jay B.

Yelp
When is this place not busy. Came here at 12:16 in the morning on a Friday night and people keep pouring in. The tacos just like you get in Mexico except for the cost. It's going up so get here before gets to expensive.

Joe S.

Yelp
Zero stars for a first timer knowing how to order. I felt like I was in a Seinfeld Episode and it would be "no tacos for you", so I had to observe for a bit to get the hang of it. I figured it out and was happy I did. I had a chorizo (didn't taste chorizo-y at all), a carne asada (yum) and an Al Pastor taco. The chorizo was OK, the Carne Asada was Good, and the Al Pastor was great, although it had too many toppings so the pineapple and crispy pork goodness got a little lost. Look at that meat spit (not Hawk Tuah, but the spinning spindle of pork/pineapple). That was some good stuff. So basically, you stand in what you think is a line (there are between 4 and 6 of them at the food counter, I couldn't quite tell what all the stations were). you scream your order to the person behind. Then scream it again. And then they put plates of tacos out for you. Get a tray and carry them over to the cash register to the right (and a bit behind you). Pay, get a drink, and find somewhere to sit and enjoy. I'd go back for sure and try some of their other tacos. Tacos are so good and these ones were some of the better ones I've had. Once you get the hang of it, it's probably easier to deal with. I'd love to try their sister location if it existed though.... Tacos La Flaca!

Alan N.

Yelp
Absolutely worth the Uber ride from the Strip! Tacos El Gordo on Sunset Rd. is a bit off the beaten path, but that worked in our favor since there were no lines at 11 a.m. on a Saturday. We went straight in and were enjoying our food in no time. The adobada (spicy pork) was phenomenal--definitely my top recommendation--but honestly, you can't go wrong with any of the options. The tacos are on the pricier side, but with 3-4, you'll be full and satisfied. Will definitely be back!

Monique M.

Yelp
Loved that this location was spacious, clean and had it's own parking lot. When I got there, it was busy, but since there were multiple lines it went somewhat fast. What I didn't like was that if you want to order different meats, you have to get in different lines and wait all over again. It was also somewhat hard to order because one staff member wasn't able to understand my English (but he was very professional and smiled). The food was good. I didn't try anything I didn't like. And I loved that they had nopales and grilled onions. Their salsa also elevated their food. I'd definitely go back for more

Carrie W.

Yelp
Tacos el Gordo is one of my favorite spots to stop by at when I'm in LV! Get ready to fight for parking spots and wait in line for a while cause this place is always popping. Nevertheless, definitely a must try restaurant and it is always worth the wait. After a long drive to get here from LA, we were famished and got the adobada and carne asada tacos. Wow, were they amazing tacos! My personal favorite was the adobada. I swear the sauce that they put on it is straight up crack. It is soo good and the meat is super tender. The carne asada tacos were also amazing. The meat had a really good smoky taste to it. Adding the guac really tops it off. Don't forget to get the tacos with jalapeño and onions! They are a nice addition to the tacos and free of charge. I can't wait to go back for more delicious tacos!

Yelp
We arrived on a Saturday evening with just a couple of parking spots left. As we walked inside there were long lines across the floor as they have different sections for different type of food. It's a large venue with many booths that were all full. Once you get to order your food, you take your tray to another counter to pay for them and order your drinks. The ladies at this counter was cordial and efficient and they speak English which is a bonus at an authentic tacos joint like this. We ordered 2 Lengua tacos, 2 Buche tacos which was written pork face on the menu but it's really pork stomach and it's chopped up. Really good stuff! Must try! We also ordered Cabeza (beef head meat) Tortas which has a dry hard toasted shell. Too hard for my braces so I let hubby gobble it. We also had Cabeza Azteca tacos which is a normal tacos with grilled cactus. First time trying this and I enjoyed it! It has a pleasant texture to it that's like eating grilled bell peppers with your tacos. Washed all this down with Horchata (sweet rice drink) and we were on our merry way a happy customer. Oh we chose an outdoor dining table outside which is a plus since we have a dog. Even our dog got a taste of the tacos meat and he approved!

Yelp
You simply cannot come to Las Vegas and not make a pilgrimage to Tacos El Gordo. I'm serious--it's basically a law here. Forget the casinos and shows; the real jackpot is found in a taco stuffed with juicy, perfectly seasoned meat. Tacos El Gordo is the OG, the taco that all other tacos aspire to be. You think you've had good tacos before? Think again. These tacos are the best of the best, the holy grail of taco-dom.

Rachel L.

Yelp
Our favorite! We usually get pork adobada (pork) tacos with everything including their infamous green sauce...& our kids love their quesadillas and the unlimited refill drinks is bomb! Never had a problem with service and place is big enough to sit comfortably. Great location, right across of town square and off the strip.

Brian W.

Yelp
I was first introduced to tacos el Gordo in San Diego and TJ. By far the experience is what makes this place great. I saw a few popped up in Vegas and finally tried them. So this review is purely based on this location Parking is plentiful and we didn't have an issue finding parking. Once you go inside is where all the issues are. First, it's a little chaotic but like in the sense it's not intuitive. First, the trays don't line up with the menu or people and we waited in front of. We wanted some carne asada, but the guy grilling didn't even greet us. We sort of just stood in front of him for a solid 2 min before he even looked up at us. During that 2 min we may be thought it was the carne asada line and moved over one to someone grilling peppers... She just stared at us and we moved back to the carne line. So be prepared to just stand there with twiddling your thumbs or whatever. We got our tacos and then migrated over to the pastor line. This line was long and I assume it's because he was actively carving and serving tacos. Once we got our tacos, we shuffled over to the register which sort of just stood idle at again. No acknowledgement or anything just sort of waited for the ladies at the register to ring us up. We stood there as they were packing the fridge behind them. Not a big deal. But once she was done, she walked away from the register with some trash in her hand and returned a few minutes later and just stared to ring us up. I think there was a small hi when she returned. But that's it. Just rang us up, and pointed to the card machine. Anyway, the whole service thing felt weird and really distracted from the whole experience of getting tacos here. Tacos themselves were great, but for a ~$40 meal with the wife, id probably expect a little better service.

Stephen D.

Yelp
We stopped by for some tacos around midnight after a concert, and even at that late hour, the place was buzzing with people grabbing a bite. The restaurant was clean, and the staff were really helpful. The tacos were fantastic! I went with the pork tacos and paired them with a refreshing horchata. I'm glad this location on Sunset is a bit off the Strip, so no need to head to the one on the Strip.

Xavier Thomas M.

Yelp
Super busy fyi, I doubt there's any time it isn't. But, it's so worth it. One of the best tacos I've ever had, ever. Just know it's packed and loud in there, but honestly it was part of the experience and vibes so just enjoy the chaos! Line breakdown: Each aisle/line is divided by the type of meat of tacos they're cooking, so make sure to read the signs. Which this is important because everything is made fresh and cut fresh. We watched them make and toast the tortillas from scratch, chop up the meat, and put on the works for the tacos. I don't even know what that green sauce/liquid was on top, either a salsa or guac type of thing, and I don't like guac but this was so good. Immediately destroyed the tacos, just straight up devoured them. I'm getting more tacos next time and maybe even the fries. Best idea if you're with a group: divide and conquer - everyone get some tacos of each and split them up to each other!

Joseph L.

Yelp
Awesome, authentic taco shop, not far from the Vegas strip. The tacos are the highlight here - my favorite is the pork, where they shave the meat off when you order your meal. They offer numerous different meats: carne asada, pork and some more exotic beef cuts such as tongue, eyes, intestines and head. The service is quick and friendly; the lines can get long during peak hours, but they move fairly quickly. Nothing special about the atmosphere, but there is a good bit of seating and parking at this location.

George B.

Yelp
This has to be one of the OG spots here in Las Vegas as far as quick and on the go Mexican food. When it's not busy that's forsure, this place is great and the price is fairly decent. I usually get the adobada fries like I did this time I went. The food itself never disappoints and it's good forsure. I like it here but I feel like for the hype it gets the food is decent. Don't get me wrong I go here from time to time. But sometimes it's overly crowded and it's damn near impossible to eat in. I will say thumbs up for being one of the only spots open till late. Their other locations are good as well. The OG spot though is their Las Vegas blvd location across from the Resorts world. The place itself is nice and very chill, your typical spot to eat. Thumbs up to tacos el gordo for being one of the top dogs in Mexican food in the city. Adobada fries - Crispy and perfectly fried French fries and the adobada is really good and flavorful as so is the mountain of sauces and guacamole they add on it. Food - 9.0 Setting - 8.5 Service - 8.5 Total - 9.25 Go get you some!

Michele M.

Yelp
The food, ambience, & customer service exceeded our expectations!!! Everyone we interacted with gave the best recommendations and with the warmest welcome you could ever receive. I had visited the location on the strip and I must say this one far exceeded my previous visit. This location had more families and locals. Not as many tourists, which made us feel like we were in our own hometown. The food was OUTSTANDING!!! I can truly say we will be returning very soon! The cashiers were beyond welcoming! You are truly missing out if you don't take the time to stop and enjoy an amazing meal amongst the locals.

Sharzad M.

Yelp
The highlight here is definitely the freshness of the ingredients. However, be prepared for a bit of a wait. One downside is the lack of proper cooling during the summer months, which can make dining indoors a bit uncomfortable. Hopefully, they'll improve this soon to make the dining experience even better. On a positive note, they offer lollipops for kids, which is a thoughtful touch that keeps little ones happy.

Angelica G.

Yelp
The food is amazing. Some of the best al pastor (adobada/marinated pork) I've ever had and I normally don't order that. I ordered an adobada quesadilla and it was very filling with a lot of meat. The service was really fast. This is worth visiting if you're here from out of town. This is a quick bites type of place. The seating is spacious. I would recommend for a lunch. This location has better parking and is cleaner than the location on the strip.

David G.

Yelp
Wow man what a bummer. The whole experience was mediocre and stressful. They made me stand in 3 lines for 20 minutes each or so to order my tacos of different meats. Very unorganized. Then the tacos were almost 5 dollars each. Now I don't mind spending for good food but it was alright. Nothing special. Overall spent 100$ on tacos and waited an hour and they were so so. Will never return not worth it. And was all hype. Salsas were not even spicy either.

Matt C.

Yelp
This location is always very clean, the staff are courteous and polite and the lines never take very long. On this occasion it was more of the same, short line, several adobada tacos, the normally come with meat, onions & cilantro, salsa, avocado sauce & pineapple. I asked them to hold the avocado sauce but they forgot the pineapple. Still delicious, and they have orange bang whipped drinks which reminds me of my childhood. Overall a great experience with the only downside being the price. Not unreasonable but more than a street taco should cost. 8 tacos & 2 fountain drinks was $42.

Megan W.

Yelp
Fast service, great food, affordable prices, and sufficient parking! During a busy weekend in Las Vegas, my group tried to grab dinner around 10PM. After visiting a handful of restaurants, each had while wait lines out the door. We knew that Tacos El Gordo would solve this issue. Despite a short wait, our group was able to grab food within 30 minutes. We had a variety of tacos-- probably tried almost every option on the menu. The fan favorite was definitely the lengua, but there were also fans of the tripa and cabeza. Each taco is slightly over $4, but they put a good amount of meat on each. I also loved watching how fast the workers could assemble the order. My only complaint is that the quesadilla is significantly more expensive, but not different from the taco besides some cheese at the bottom. After getting your order at the bar, you walk over to the cashier and pay, and grab your own seat. There's also a condiments bar that has limes and radishes, along with to go bags.

Maggie G.

Yelp
Super fast service, good food, lots of variety and affordable prices! I was told that I had to come here when i'm in Vegas and i'm happy that I did. These flavourful filling tacos were the perfect touch after a long hot day of partying!

Zuliana G.

Yelp
Amazing tacos, the tortillas are freshly made great service, we recommend this place to anyone visiting Vegas, it by the airport so hit it on the way in and out. Say hi to Isabell and Lucio making the tacos! Tacos El Gordo!

Eugene W.

Yelp
Holy smokes. These tacos were actually FIRE. I had asada, adobada, and cabeza. We also shared a steak fries. The meat all tastes delicious. That delicious fire-seared taste is deep in every piece of meat. Prices are sky-high, starting at $4.12 per taco. However, there's nothing like this in Boston so I was happy to pay.

Dustin E.

Yelp
Meh. One of my friends told me I had to go here. His wife loved it. Meh. The tacos were fine. Nothing special. Great service. Super, super clean restaurant! Everything is beautiful. My carne asada taco was fatty, chewy and had very little meat. The pork, with pineapple added was pretty good. Nothing near as good as tacos in Mexico from a taco stand. Taco y Taco in Henderson is light years better. I won't return.

Christina M.

Yelp
Best tacos in Las Vegas, hands down. Always our favorite spot to go. My parents were in town this weekend so we went for a late night snack. I will say they move a little slower at this location then the one on the strip, but always worth the wait. I ordered extra tacos to take for lunch the next day and they aged well. I love the sauce they add on their tacos, you won't find anything similar at other restaurants. You must go!

T L.

Yelp
If you from the islands it's kinda of hard to know what to order, but the workers theee were very friendly amd help my wife and I. I had steak with everything on is wife had just plain cheese quesadilla, cafeteria like ambiance..

David M.

Yelp
Honestly starting to get fed up with TEG's prices, seeing as how there are more and more places in the Vegas metro that are competing with them. Tacos El Guero is about a buck cheaper per taco and they use essentially the same recipe. Also many of the Taco stands in suburban Las Vegas use a similar recipe. I went to one the other night by my house and their adobada tacos were damn near as good as TEG.

Valerie B.

Yelp
First time here and heard the raves on this place. Finally strolled into Vegas at midnight and needed dinner. Parking was fairly quick with a tight space. Place is huge. Ordering is definitely different from the norm. Stand in one area for beef, stand in another for pork, or another line for fresh tortillas. Ordered tacos and they were so filling. Lots and lots of meat. Asada tacos with all the fixings was perfect to end my road trip but start my mini vacation. Thanks TEG. I'll be back.

Michael S.

Yelp
Simply put, some of the best tacos you'll ever have! Tacos El Gordo is a Vegas institution! Literally everyone knows about them, and if you are one of the few that doesn't, then you need to experience it! Depending on the location you visit, it can be considered a "hangover" taco experience! Open late night, this place can be standing room only at 11:00pm on any given night, but hang in there, it's totally worth it! I will not point out any particular variety, as they are equally great, but just be open to trying the tacos, loaded nachos, sopes, and even the quesadillas! That's right, even the quesadillas are not what you would expect!

Omar R.

Yelp
Large location, the lines move fast, the tacos are about $4.50 each. Flavor wise, I'm on the fence. The steak tacos seemed a tad salty. The place is trendy so it can get busy. I would recommend you give the other taco places a shot first. Not a bad taco place but you can find better street tacos and cheaper.

Ev D.

Yelp
The restaurant is extremely spacious with plenty of seating in the dining area. They also have a patio if you're in the mood for dining outdoors. The way to order here is: there are a number of food prepping stations with a menu located right above each station. Informing you of what dishes are specifically prepped there. Once you figure out what items you want just walk up to that specific station and place your order. Once your order is ready, you grab a red food tray to place your food on, then proceeded to the register to pay. The service was pretty fast. The customer service was a bit dry and the food was really good. My order was the Carne Asada fries. It came with very flavorful yet slightly fatty Carne Asada, shredded cheese, sour cream, and guacamole. They also stay open till 2:00 AM for those who get a hankering for some good late night, Mexican food.

Ariana G.

Yelp
Wanted to love the food here but it was just ok! I know this place is known for its fast counter service and fare prices. I went to a location off the strip so it would be less busy. You walk up to the counter based on what you want to order. Then you take your food to a separate counter to pay. This location was pretty big and had lots of seating! I recommend the adobada for sure! Probs the best thing on their menu. You can skip the carne asada here. It was too chewy and overcooked.

Eddie O.

Yelp
The tacos are okay but the carne asada meat could be tastier. I thought for the money they are kind of expensive. Honestly, I prefer another vendor Taco Tacuba a lot more. Worth trying once for the experience but don't see the value for these tacos.

Tyler G.

Yelp
These are some of the best tacos I've had on this trip. Heads up--no chicken here! I stuck with my go-tos, beef shoulder and pork, but if you're feeling adventurous, they've got beef eyes, head, tongue, and more. I loved how they dressed the tacos differently. Service was on point and super quick.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
This place is a tradition to visit every time we are in Vegas. The food is very delicious, the price is just right, and it's always open late! Convenient when you went out late at night, came for a visit for edc, or just hanging out! Anyway our go to eats are the pastor tacos, the pastor quesadilla and the other ones I tried that were good were the pastor fries, lengua and the horchata is my favorite drink to get along with the tamarindo. Definitely stop by here the green sauce they put on top is amazing and unmatched unless you live in sd like us go to tjs tacos in Escondido haha.

Kisha M.

Yelp
I knew when I saw the food was served on paper plates that it was going to be the bomb. I was not disappointed. I tried a few things, but the star of the show was the Vampiro. I'll be thinking about that bad boy for a long while. And to top it off, they served ice cold coca-cola which was so hard to find in Las Vegas restaurants! If I am ever in LV again I will definitely be making a stop here again.

Victoria E.

Yelp
This place is honestly overhyped. The price for a taco is more than $4?? I wouldn't care if the tacos were actually good. I ordered a "quesadilla" and I basically got a taco with cheese that was $7. It was disappointing forsure. The meat was chewy and it had a lot of fat on it. As a hispanic who enjoys quality mexican food this place was a let down. The only thing that was good was their handmade tortillas.

Yelp
Came on a Wednesday during noon so lunch time and we were seated and eating in less than 10 mins. We got 4 tacos, beef tongue / lengua for $4.44, pork/adobada $4.12 & steak / carna asada $4.12 with all the toppings. Everything was super juicy, however the carna asada, was a little tough. How to order: there's workers at every station, go to the type of meat section you want and order away. Then go to the cashier which is off to the side & order drinks. Next to the cashier/drinks is a cold cart w limes and radishes on ice.

Yelp
This location is a great spot to get some OG tacos and not have an issue with space or parking. There is still a line up process but the place is so big and they have all of guys working so it is quick even when it is busy. The go-to here are the adobada tacos. These are some of the best I have had as I get it with everything, and always ask for pineapple on the side, it really takes the flavor to the next level. The asada is my next pick, but sometimes it can be dry, so choose wisely. It does come with avocado, so that is a plus. My wife likes the nopales, and it is a heavy portion. There are other options for meats and ways to eat it like fries, quesadilla, etc. Imo the tacos are the only way to go on a cost value basis. You can ever go wrong with a tray full of tacos!

Yelp
We made the special trip before leaving Vegas to try this place & it did not disappoint. The place was very clean, staff as really friendly. There was a line but it went pretty quick, we each got 3 pork tacos and shared a carne asada fry. Sooo good! We will def be back next time we come to Vegas!

Yelp
Do you want some tacos after a party night?! Tacos El Gordo are the best!! No wonder why the place is packed most of the time. They've their own system on how to order and pay and everything. Basically you form a line depending on what you want: tacos al pastor, carne asada, chorizo, etc. Once you've got your tacos you go to the cashier and pay, and then enjoy. Their avocado sauce is NOT spicy at all, while their red sauce might be hot. On a crowded day it took us about 35 minutes from the moment we started the line till we had a seat and ate. It was worth it!

Yelp
Best tacos in LV! No frills, just great Tijuana style tacos. This location is huge and very well planned. You stand in line for the tacos you want, very efficient. Pick your taco and pay at a different area and done. We only tried the adobada/el pastor, absolutely to die for! Next time will try carne asada. Not much vegetarian options other than nopal. Staff is very efficient.

Yelp
I LOVE the spacious inside of this location with the cute colors and decor. It's a great place to meetup with friends and have a nice long chat over a delicious meal. Service is like that of a fast food place. Quick and not much service to the experience but that is the style of this place. The tacos are amazingly yummy. Yes, they are a bit pricey in my opinion (over $4 USD a taco) but it is well worth it. Can't wait to come back and try more flavors.

Yelp
My wife and I were craving tacos, and since we weren't familiar with the area, we went to the hotel front desk to ask for a good nearby taco spot. The receptionist immediately recommended Tacos El Gordo. We checked it out on Yelp and it seemed legit, so we decided to drive there, which took about 10-15 minutes. When we arrived, the place was packed--like a busy Costco line in Hawaii. Despite being very hungry, we waited in line for about an hour. The staff worked quickly, but the wait was prolonged by customers placing special orders. Finally, we got our food, and it was definitely worth the wait. The only downside is that the place is always busy. I'm not sure if the wait was worth it, as we could have gone to another spot and probably been just as satisfied, especially since we were starving. I'd recommend Tacos El Gordo if it's not busy, but if it is, be prepared for a long wait. The food is great, but the wait can be tough when it's crowded. I'd rate it 8/10.

Yelp
We all know Tacos El Gordo is hands down the best tacos in Las Vegas. This review though is for the location. No crazy long lines like the strip location. Ample parking. HUGE & SPACIOUS seatings. Indoor and outdoor. The best and closest location if you're driving from Los Angeles and want your taco fix right away as you get into vegas. Of course, that adobada is still THE BEST and MUST GET. Order the taco and quesadilla versions!

Yelp
Waited 45-60 minutes in just one line for the adobada tacos bc waiting in another line for another type of meat was out of the question at this point. Parking is so small. Staff is very nice though. It's still super busy on a Saturday night at midnight.
