A local favorite for al pastor, green enchiladas, and caldo, spotlighted by 225 Magazine’s roundup of regional food trucks. The brand grew into a Prairieville restaurant while keeping this Baton Rouge truck bustling.

I’ve been coming here for years! My tried and true is a gringa de puerco. They also have mini gringas so I tried one in steak and my bfs favorite is the tacos con puerco (pork). I always get extra green and red sauce. The green one is the spicier of the two. The service is quick, they give you a buzzer so you can wait in your car and they’ll let you know when your food is ready. There is also a picnic table if you want to eat there, or a bar along side the food truck. I also recommend the loaded papas 🤌🏾🤌🏾 10/10 I love bringing a friend here for the first time. Also there’s a cash discount so come prepared. Just try it. There won’t be any regrets.

My mom recommended this place to me so we stopped by a few days ago. I ordered the Gringa (quesadilla) w/ chicken. I drizzled some of that really spicy sauce that came with it and took one bite out if it and fell in love! It’s truly authentic Mexican food! The fact that everything is made fresh to order and doesn’t take long is even better!

Google
Asada tacos were ok. Chicken tacos were not really seasoned. Not the worst tacos out here, but don’t think I would go out of my way to come eat here again.

Homemade tortillas. Very fresh Food. 10/10 amazing. The most authentic Mexican food.

Google
What a fabulous taco! If you made your decision on whether or not to try this place based on looks alone, it would be too easy to pass up. But that would be a grave mistake. Certainly one of the best street tacos in Baton Rouge. Highly recommend. And the price is even better!

I was excited when I found this taco truck. The lady that took my order was friendly and the tacos were delicious! I gave it a four because I asked for no onions and I guess that didn’t get relayed to whoever was making the tacos because my tacos were LOADED with onions and I don’t like onions. So I ended up a little dissatisfied since I had to pick out the onions. Also if you’re paying with card I guess they charge you a little extra. Would have been nice if I was told that upfront. Overall the tacos were delicious and I hope the next time I go back, my order will be ordered correctly.

The friendly service is a highlight, especially since I arrived close to closing time. Cash only. My tacos were good even if the meat was a little unidentifiable.

Yelp
When I'm craving authentic Mexican this is it. The cashier is friendly, bilingual, and accommodating. You place your order, receive a buzzer, and are welcome to wait in your air conditioned car. My go to is the gringa with pork. It's basically an open face quesadilla loaded with cheesy pull cheese, pork, white onions, and cilantro. They also offer it as a mini if you just want to try it. My bf loves their pork tacos dressed classic a la calle. I also recommend the loaded papas (unpictured). There is a cash discount so plan ahead. This is a staple right here for me.

Yelp
The food literally came in 5 minutes! I was the only customer at the time but still, I was impressed. I'm not sure if it was one of the salsas or one of the tacos but something is very spicy, nose running spicy! My mouth is burning as I type this. The Al pastor taco was by far my favorite, it was sooooo good. The chicken/pollo was my least favorite, it wasn't very flavorful.

Yelp
Service is great and because I know the question will be asked, you can speak English instead of your high school formal Spanish. Ambience is fine because you'll probably eat in your car. Food is always amazing torta is my favorite.

Yelp
Tocos are delicious Pricy for street tacos from a truck at $3 a piece but delicious! Service was nice and food was ready quickly.

Yelp
My daughter was craving tacos and asked to try this place. The menu is small but options include tacos (obviously) and quesadillas among a few other options including a burrito and torta which I plan to try another time. The drink options are also pretty slim but I go for the food, so that didn't bother me. The lady at the window taking our order was extremely friendly. She answered our newbie questions. I asked about the size of the quesadillas, which come in "gringa" and "minigringa" size. The menu isn't terribly descriptive but I was comfortable asking about items. The gringa quesadilla was served open faced and it had cheese, pork, onions and cilantro. My daughter and I flipped it over to make a traditional (is that a thing?) quesadilla, but not before squeezing some lime on the contents. The tacos were incredibly fresh and full of flavor. We squeezed lime over these, also. They were a smidge on the dry side but were served with green and red salsa that definitely helped to moisten them. A word of caution: the green salsa is really spicy! I thought the red salsa would have been spicier but I was wrong. Both had a great taste. My daughter and I both decided that the tacos were good and the quesadilla was even better. To repeat, the food was delicious and fresh, and that along with the service and value ($3 tacos are a good price these days), we will be repeat customers.

Yelp
Got the Quesabirria tacos for $14. Decent price and tacos were good. Kind of in a hidden spot but definitely worth trying.

Yelp
Authentic street tacos, quesabirria tacos, gordita, all good!! Service was quick and friendly. For authentic south of the border, this is the best.

Yelp
Street tacos from a food truck. I was glad that the truck is still operating. Several people were getting food when we got there and the tacos were pretty good. The food truck had limited menu but it wasn't cheap. Still the taste made up for it. I prefer flour tortillas, two layers like in Mexico and plenty of guacamole sauce. Tacos that I ordered didn't have those but perhaps I didn't order them correctly. Speak enough Spanish and I am sure you can customize to your liking. You have some hot sauce to use but none we're burning hot, goes well with bottles of coke. Not bad.

Yelp
Ok, a little background. I've eaten tacos all over the world. And by all over the world I mean Texas, California and several states in Mexico. So I'd like to think I know a little about tacos. These tacos are very good. They remind me of street tacos I once had in Reynosa, Mexico. Very authentic. The tacos the trompo(pork) are great. The hotdog pretty good as well. I gave it a 4 star and not a 5 because of the price. They are ridiculously priced. 2.50$ per taco is a travesty just based on the size of the taco. A normal person needs at least 5 tacos to feel satisfied. That's 10$ not including a drink. Comparatively speaking these tacos are priced as if this were Torchy's. It's not. Torchy's has trajectory. A history. Also the hotdog is 3.50$! What do you get? The same hotdog you'd have if you had made it at home. No joke. I'd only recommend the tacos at this place, they're legit. But be prepared to pay a little more than you normally would at a dine in place.

Yelp
The service was great. Lady that took our order took the tine to explain the menu to us. I'd add a picture but didn't think of adding a review till after I realized of how good the food was. La gringa which I requested mixed with pastor and bistec was so delish. And the tacos con queso also mixed with pastor and bistec We're from Houston, Texas but definitely coming back when we're in the area. They mentioned that they're going to open an actual restaurant soon

Yelp
The BEST tacos in BR!! Love the food and the service. I typically get the al pastor tacos, but have gotten other things on their menu like the huaraches and it is also delicious.

Yelp
First time trying Tacos El Mosco and it was amazing! My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to eat on short notice and we decided to give it a try. Totally worth it!! The food came out in about 5 minutes or less, it was fresh, and even better.. the lady who took our order was so kind and nice to us. A smile to brighten your day. We each got 2 tacos and safe to say we're filled! A $14 meal for two people, not bad! I definitely recommend because we will be back!

Yelp
How in the world does this place not have raving 10 star reviews. Delicious- every time! Best tacos in BR without question. Entire menu is consistently great. The lack of tables and chairs and a stand-up counter only adds to the experience. Cash only btw. But please, do yourself a favor and get some mini-gringas ASAP. Thank me later.

Yelp
Great customer service and excellent food. Would highly recommend! I'd post a picture but I ate it all before I thought to review.
