Delicious tacos including cabeza, al pastor, carnitas, chorizo, and so many other yummy options. $14 3 tacos and rice and beans drink combo is a great deal. $8 Micheladas were excellent as well. Tiny restaurant with some limited seating.

Came here after work around 2:30 pm on a Thursday. Overall not too busy but really easy to order. I got a Carne Asada Burrito, Adobada Taco, Fish Taco and Carne Asada Taco. The tortilla was extremely fresh, amazing taste. The meat was solid but nothing too out of the ordinary. As for parking, I was lucky to find metered parking in the front, I assume parking can get tricky when the restaurant gets busier. Nice employees and solid food.

Typically everything is great, yesterday I met up with my son for lunch, unfortunately the service and food was below their standards. The young lady at the counter had a bad attitude. The Tacos de Buche smelled funny, I ate them anyways which I suffered the consequences later. The Salsa Bar was good but missing the radish. The Cabeza & Asada Tacos were delicious.

Truly blown away by this spot — and the prices are too good. First of all, everyone here is so kind, it smells amazing, and the tortillas are freshly made and just perfect in my opinion. The chorizo and the adobada were the highlights for me. We got the special of the day plus three other tacos. The salsas are also delicious. Easily some of the best tacos I’ve had in San Diego.

I left 4 stars only because there is no place to park and the taste of the taquitos is good but nothing spectacular. They are very well served and at a good price 👌🏼. The attention was very friendly and good too.

I think they changed owners here, cause I went there the day after Thanksgiving… I purchased a Carne Asada Burrito It was full of fat… You could tell the cook didn’t care and it’s unacceptable… I tried contacting the place, but all they do is give me a battle. This is the first time this place ever lets me down… And I’m only doing this because the guy thought that I was lying to him and he didn’t wanna make it better. He just wanted to argue and prove himself right and told me that oh well basically just take a loss..

Best tacos in SD! They make all their tortillas fresh. Excellent adobada. Salsa bar is great too. Friendly staff & quick service. Can’t find a better taco place than this

This is my favorite restaurant in all of San Diego. They have a wide variety of meats like adobada, birria, pescado, cabeza, tripa, etc. for tortas, burritos and tacos. The meat is grilled to perfection, they handmake the tortillas, and the serving size is more than enough for the price so it’s filling and it is truly authentic Mexican food. The Mexican food tastes better than any I’ve had in LA and the general SoCal area (better than Taco Stand and other well known establishments). The employees are extremely friendly, and serve you without even an order number. The location itself doesn’t seem special but it truly does feel like home. Gracias Tacos El Panson!

30.00 for 9 asada tacos, without drink/combo. So I did remove 1 star for that. Bland/transactional service. Waited only a short time for my food on a Wednesday at 11 am. I asked if I could be charged for the three tacos with a side of beans and rice (the combo includes a drink). I already had a drink so I didn't need one, however, I was told that I would be charged the same price even if I didn't get a drink. So I just got the tacos. Tacos were good. Meat was tender and they didn't skimp on meat. After I added the green salsa,salt and lime, the meat still tasted slightly bland. I

Tried this place today. The service was decent and quick. They were a bit crowded so they must be popular. The burrito was quite large in size and a good temperature, but the taste was just okay. It wasn't runny beans but it didn't have a lot of taste either. The fountain soda was okay as well. I might go back, but it was more or less fairly average as far as I'm concerned.

Solid taco spot on El Cajon! My good friend took me here and we had a great meal! I personally had the carne asada, lengua, and pastor tacos. Salsa is self serve, The tacos are on the 2-3 biter size. I did enjoy the carne asada the most! Seating inside. Street parking is extremely tough during peak hours. Surcharge for card use, so I recommend bringing cash.

Omg the food was Amazing! Best sopes I have had in a long time and the tacos were great too. My favorite meat was the Adobada but can't go wrong with any of them. Place is a hole in the wall so don't expect ambience. Also, service was efficient and prompt but that's it. But I suggest you should go to this place and it must be purely for the food- they knock that out of the park.

Great spot in the hood. Felt like I was on the other side of the border. Everything tasted good, and their salsa bar was DELICIOUS!

Definitely a locals only spot. We got the suadero tacos, adobada tacos, adobada mulita, and fish taco. The meat was very tender and the tacos were stuffed! Loved the green sauce. The only thing I wouldn't get again was the fish taco - breading was not crispy at all and it was mostly batter and zero fish.

They are so convenient since I work right across the street! My favorite is a California al pastor burrito! Sooooo Good! But I also love their carne asada fries! I sometimes get food for my students! The people are always so friendly!

Excellent taco shop I have been driving by for several years now. Finally had the opportunity to stop and get some tacos. adobada and cabeza were delicious. It was also my first time trying pineapple, cucumber, spinach Agua Fresca. Very tasty and refreshing. Fast and friendly service with a bright clean dining area. If parking was easier, I would come here every day. Definitely worth it! Unfortunately, I scarfed my tacos too fast to get a picture

I was craving some street tacos and have yet to find a place here in SD so decided to give this place a try. Parking is difficult as it's on a Main Street. I parked in the residential area and walked over. The restaurant itself is very small with limited seating. Servers and staff are friendly and welcoming! The tortillas are hand made! You can see them being made right when you walk in. I ordered the daily combo with 3 tacos- carne asada, carnitas, and adobada with an horchata. The horchata was delicious. The taco meat was very dry and lacked flavor, but the tortillas were good. I wouldn't recommend this as a top place for tacos.

I bought 3 tripe tacos at this restaurant. It's very delicious I like the taste but it's quite salty for me. Parking is hard to find. Staff are very friendly

This is THE spot for tacos in El Cajon. They have so many protein options for the tacos and they are jam-packed with goodies. The service here is fast and I recommend asking for pineapple on the tacos!

The tortillas were fresh and homemade the ladies were making them at the counter as you're walking in. The meat in the tacos was good, except for the barria & quesabirria which were very chewy. The quesabirria was quite greasy and not crispy at all on the outside. The carne asada burrito was fresh and full of flavor .

One of my favorite places to get tacos. The ambiance is super casual, it's right next to Hoover Highschool and I normally just park in the neighborhood. The staff here are real sweet and friendly. They make everyone's order super fast. I normally order on the phone and my food would be ready in 10 minutes when it's not busy. Recommendations: Tripa (extra crispy), Adobada, Buche, and Rolled Tacos Their salsas are so good and have a great amount of heat. I recommend ordering a side of grilled peppers and onions as well.

This is my second time in this place, and I definitely love it again. I came from North County to do some errands this way, and I remember I tried them for the first time a couple of months ago. I tried the shrimp tacos. THEY'RE BOMB !!! I also tried the buche gordita OMG loved it. I'll come back for sure again to try their birria. Service was on point, the guy in the register super friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Tacos el Panson was a definite hit! If you live in the college/city heights area then you know there is a lack of good tacos & I don't mean the taco shop tacos but those no frill variety of pork & beef cuts on freshly made tortillas. Well me being a street taco lover, the hubby being a cabesa taco kinda guy & my oldest kid being a birria feign we definitely will be returning. Update as of 4/2024: We come here at least every other week for their tacos and various other menu items and so far we've had their: burger 8/10 Rolled tacos 10/10 Burritos 10/10 Mulitas 7/10 Gordita 8/10 Birria bowl 9/10 Churros 10/10 (by my kids since we haven't tried them lol) Michaelada 10/10

Con solo el echo de que las tortillas son hechas a maño , ya es ganancia . Muy sabrosa la carnita asada ! La salsas también están bien sabrosas . Buen servicio y hasta la comida a la mesa le llevan a uno , muy amables . Recomendados ! Tienen que probar !

This is the place that I keep coming back to. It's just a small little place, located right next to the gas station. The service is great they bring the food directly to your table. I think this is some of the best quesobirria I'll be there I've had since moving to San Diego. The consume is so good here !! Mulitas are one of my go to and I so far tried the pastor ones, so good. If you're looking for some good Mexican food and don't want to drive too far, I think this is a great option. I've gone about five times now and I just keep on going back!

The hype is REAL. I ordered a breakfast burrito and it came out hot, fresh, and tasty. Not only did it taste amazing, but it was filled to the max. The service is quick and there's enough space to sit down and relax. My friend ordered a carne asada burrito and he said it was "out of this world."

Just came to this place for dinner after reading everyone else's reviews and seeing the great ratings. I ordered the carne asada fries and my partner ordered a carne asada taco and a carnitas taco. We both agreed that the carne asada was off and not good. The fries they used were also not good. The carnitas were the hit for me. They were loaded with flavor and super juicy. I'd get those again if I ever came back to this place. I was really craving a horchata and they didn't have any Employees were super nice and the have a decent salsa bar.

Oh my... what happened guys? This was my favorite taco shop in the area. With my recent visit last Wednesday, my husband got food poisoning from the carnitas torta. He was the only one who ordered this and we ate everything the same within the past 48hrs leading up to the illness. We can only attribute this to the carnitas torta, in which he noted the bread tasted old. It's ashamed because my carne asada was so good. It had great smoky beefy flavor. But my California burrito was very small for the price with a lot of gaps in between the tortilla and filling (see picture). Maybe we came on an off day. I can push pass the small burrito, but to get food poisoning is unacceptable. Due to this reason, we don't see ourselves returning.

I came here in the morning ordered carne asada Gordita and carne asada sopes, rice beans, spinach pineapple cucumber agua Fresca. It was hella good! This will be my go to spot since it's down the street. Also, salsa is hot AF but I love it!

This is a great little spot, like being served family food. The place is small and makes you feel as you are in Mexico or a family friends for a meal. Service was good and employees were super friendly. They have all the authentic tacos you can think of birra, asada, cabeza, and more.

You get hit with this wall of lovey grilled meat smell. The atmosphere was very aromatic! Dish 1: Adobada (9/10) When I said dry, I didn't mean like dry meat but the exterior was dry, the meat itself was juicy, charred, Smokey, all around delicious! Dish 2: Carne Asada (7/10) Meat was juicy but was a little bland and not as flavorful. Dish 3: Birria (8/10) explodes with juice as soon as you bite, little under seasoned, but was solid in terms of flavor Dish 4: Cabeza (9/10) Very fatty and succulent. Again slightly undercooked, but the meat just simply melted in your mouth Overall: Beef products was slightly under seasoned and their tortilla almost had a rice cake consistency! I think they can use a bit less cilantro as well! I think if you want some adobada (pork) you should come to this spot, but there are definitely better spots for all my carne friends!!

I ordered 5 tacos. They were delicious and the meat was flavorful. The tacos had sufficient amount of meat. The tortillas were freshly made. Their green salsa was amazing. They sent both but I preferred the green. Very inexpensive and Definitely worth the price. Just wish their on line menu had the rice and beans along with more variety. I'll be back again but next time I'll visit it in person.

5 stars for the tripas which made my brain do somersaults to try and understand the wonder of this beautiful organ ==== On our small taco tourney, this was somewhere I wanted to go after tacos El Gordo. Though tacos El Gordo has better adobada, this place isn't bad for it- it's just different. They exhibit a wonderful bbq smell as you walk across the street to get inside, so maybe try the carne asada next time. 3 tacos for $8 something including a 50¢ surcharge Cabeza Super super tender. I was very happy with this. Not bland and didn't just taste like meat, I'd definitely get this one again Adobada Seasoned well, had a bit of a chew, but I'm slightly more akin to tacos El Gordo cuz I prefer the tenderness there. Try it though! Tripas This blew my mind. Ask for extra crispy. I'm not sure if it was deep fried, but not only was it crunchy, it was almost flakey, and it melted in your mouth. It did have the teensiest gaminess to it, but it wasn't offsetting. Gold standard forreal. Tortillas Handmade tortillas weren't AMAZING, but they were more than okay and very appreciated. The tacos aren't street tacos, so 3 should get you borderline full. I was curious about the churros, but next time. Food came out relatively quick, green/red are adequate but nothing to write home about. I did ask for grilled onions , but they might have forgotten. Definitely putting this one on the must stops when it comes to taco places :)

They have the best beans and rice in the game! Everything else on the menu I've tried was also amazing! They know how to season their food. It's so great. Adobada is on point. Cleanest tripa I've had anywhere. You can taste the grill on the carne asada. Their cabeza is so awesome. I wish they had lengua. But oh well, everything else is great. I'm glad they don't just add things to their menu to have it. Everything on the menu is fantastic.

This place is legit! My wife and I were visiting San Diego from Seattle and wanted some authentic tacos without all the tourist vibes or trendy media presence that adds to the clout and none of the flavor. This place had everything I was looking for! I also had heard of suadero, but never had it until now. It's definitely worth it, though if I had had a second stomach I'd have gotten more carne asada and carnitas! I'd have also tried a torta or anything else. It's always good to have things to try the next time we're in town (whenever that'll be).

Good small place in City Heights. My first time trying Mexican food in this area and I really enjoyed this place. Good service and some small tables in the back to eat. I will definitely come back to this spot if I am ever in the area!

Parking was a challenge. Limited outdoor and indoor seating. Inside is old and not too clean. Adobada spicy pork tacos may have been off the trompo $3 each or $11.95 for 3 with rice, beans, and a 20oz drink I got horchata and pineapple instead of cilantro. I did not like the salsa. Service was fast and they still have a partition from covid regulations.

So far this place is the best bang for your buck if you are looking for tacos. I've been saying that I need to find a good fish taco on a handmade tortilla, and I found the spot! I knew their meats were good, but for some reason I was baselessly skeptical about their seafood tacos. The shrimp was grilled and perfectly cooked; as in they must have timed it so it came off the grill slightly under and then it heated up to a crisp texture. The batter and fried fish taco was great- it stayed crispy for a while and the fish tasted light. I tend to favor green salsas, but the red one here has a nice smokey flavor. They have raised the price of their three taco, rice, beans, soda combo to a still reasonable 8.95 (add fifty cents per taco if you get shrimp or fish).

The food here is horrible! I ordered 3 tacos de birria and they were so soggy and I didn't ask for any condiments and they gave them to me with onion and cilantro & when I told the lady she made a face and said "I'll ask if they can do it again" as if it were my fault. My partner ordered a burrito and it was so greasy, he would bite it and grease would drip from it. The place is so dirty, sticky floors and black cooking oil on the ceiling. Horrible overall.

It's ok is too much greasy and the salsa, is not authentic Mexican I don't like it. The service is OK. The lady is so nice and the places is clean.

July 2022. Arguably the best tacos in San Diego. Definitely 100% the best "tortillas" used for the tacos. Tortillas made fresh from hand in front of you while your in line to pay. I preach how good the tortillas for the tacos are because the tortilla is half the taco. Other spots have good taco meat and stale tortillas. Me and my lady try to come here once a week and we live in Linda Vista. Don't mind traveling a lil ways for something you know hits every single time! The price is good too! 2 people can get uncomfortably stuffed on tacos for $20. Try any meat you prefer, I've had it all, it's all fire

Found them on yelp and decided to try out their 3 taco with rice and beans with a drink special. I had a hard time finding parking, but totally worth it. The staff was friendly and working fast to fill orders. My total came to $12 with tax. I ordered a shrimp taco (my favorite), birria taco and a carne asada taco. The food was hot and clearly made to order. The shrimp taco was my favorite. It was grilled perfectly, well seasoned and 4 large shrimps. The birria meat was well seasoned and very juicy. The carne asada meat was also seasoned well with generous portions of meat and of course who doesn't love guacamole! Only reason I'm giving 4/5 stars is the carne asada taco had fatty bites I had to spit out. I read other reviews that said the carne asada meat was dry and smelled funny but this was NOT the case for me. I would still order the carne asada. I would definitely come back here.

I found my new favorite taco shop with such great prices!!! Tacos, burritos, tamales, tortas, they got it all!! I found this place on Yelp while I was searching for some mulitas! This place popped up and just so happen to be so close to home. My friend and I ordered a few different tacos such as the birria taco, buche, Cameron, suadero, lengua, adobado,cabeza and adobada mulitas of course!! My favorite was definitely the mulitas and buche and Lengua!! They were alll soooo good !! They also have a few different agua frescas to choose from to go with your meal! Parking can be alittle hard since it in located on a busy street. There's only street parking but I got lucky and got parking right in front! Just order and wait outside for your number to be called. Take out orders only due to COVID. I'm looking forward to my next visit!!!!

This place is amazing! My husband and I stopped in after a long day. We were craving tacos and we were not disappointed! We had the fish, shrimp, birria, and carnitas tacos all of which were delicious. The carnitas was my favorite, the meat was perfectly seasoned and tender. We also had the chips and guac (massive portion of guacamole), and strawberry agua which was delicious. There was also a beverage w/ pineapple, cucumber and spinach which we asked about and the man at the counter gave us a sample to try, it was very refreshing. This place is awesome, we definitely will be coming back

These tacos are one of the best in San Diego. I asked for the daily special for $10.95 and it includes 3 tacos, rice, beans, and a drink. I tried the asada, adobada, and birria. The asada meat is very tender, the birria falls apart and the adobada was well seasoned. Also the tortillas are homemade and that is rarely seen! This will become my go to taco spot!

If I told you how often I search on yelp "best tacos in SD" you would laugh Tacos El Panson came up in a recent search and I had to try it. Your classic takeout Mexican restaurant, with visible adobado spinning in the window, I knew I was in the right place. My favorite was the adobado taco on always freshly made tortillas. Salsas were just right. Even a small dining area and patio space for eating on site. Great prices, nice staff and another hidden gem with great food in City Heights!

This place is legit. We ordered a carnitas taco and a meal of 3 tacos with rice, beans and a soda. All was perfectly priced. The carnitas was absolutely delicious as was the adobada and asada. The beans were the perfect combo of creamy and whole beans with great flavor. The rice was soft and fluffy as well. We asked for chips and they cut and made a great batch for us. The salsas were green and red, and the red had an awesome heat for me, a bit too spicy for my hubs. All in all it's a great sport to visit for food to go (due to covid restrictions
