Google
I had some food from this truck at the wild wages park which was super expensive but the taste was 0 I paid +$40 for tree small tacos and 1 burrito that I couldn’t finish because it has not taste and a lot of dripping gross water from the burrito. My point is if you wanna sell food for that price, it should be worth it .

Nick Henry

Google
Got the super veggie burrito when they were out at Marymoor. Simple ingredients, and delicious. Would definitely get it again!

Priscilla Bueno

Google
As a Mexican, I really liked the quesabirrias and the salsas! the portion size is very good. i would definitely eat there again

Ginelle M.

Google
The birria tacos were so juicy and flavorful and the service was fast. Can't wait to eat there again!

Ramya R

Google
I had the veggie green wet burrito recently. The food was tasty and the service friendly. I wish the veggie burrito had fajita veggies or avocado or something apart from rice, beans and cheese. The cost was the same and the meat was just excluded. The habenero salsa that I tried with the burrito and the green sauce on the burrito were both delicious.

Saksham Bassi

Google
It used to be really tasty, I tried it today and it was so bland. Looks like they are trying to save money by just putting rice and lettuce. Barely saw any beans, pico, avocado. Definitely not even close to being 13$. I would pay 5 bucks for this.

Parth Mody

Google
I rarely write reviews but this place deserves one, easily the best Mexican food I’ve ever had! Especially the birria tacos. But they do simple stuff also so well it’s unreal.

Viraat Das

Google
Great team and very friendly. Food was delicious obviously. Get the salsa and habenero. The quesadilla was well cooked with the cheese nicely melted inside. Most Mexican places aren't as good at doing this. Definitely check them out.

Yelp
I have two favorite dishes when I consume Mexican food--birria tacos and tortas. So I was delighted when I came across this food truck, and it served both! I opted for a torta today. There's a decent number of meat choices and I went for chicken. They offer shredded or cubed and I got shredded. After ordering, it took maybe 5 minutes to get my food and it was very warm. They also offer salsas, green, medium, and hot. I just got hot but the man serving me did ask if I wanted more/how many so that's was nice. The torta itself was quite good. Bread was great, healthy number of fixings, and it was definitely on the bigger side--easily 2 meals for me! The chicken itself was fine, not extremely flavored but not bad, but I do wish I had paid a $1 up charge for birria or Al pastor instead. But! I enjoyed it enough that I definitely will try more things from this truck!

Yelp
El Tajin is my go-to food truck whenever they're in the SLU area. I normally get the beef birria tacos plate. It always hits the spot. I've tried their other offerings such as the taco salad and burrito, which all have been ok. Portion sizes are good for the price you pay. Prices are pretty affordable when compared to the other competing food trucks. The workers here are friendly and usually quick about getting people in and out.
google avatar

Yelp
Decent Taco truck. Over the years I've had their tacos, taco salad, quesadilla, and super burrito. I've liked them all but always and up coming back to their good ole street tacos. I recommend the spicy pork or lingua for the proteins. Avoid the chicken it's very bland.
google avatar

Nikita S.

Yelp
Al pastor Burrito - The protein was good, however, it lacked flavor overall. Salsa didn't had any spice as well The service was very quick though
google avatar

JT T.

Yelp
Tacos are decent and average to slightly below average price (at least for SLU, which is where I visit this truck). My favorite is the birria. Overall this truck is very consistently solid: it's not my favorite taco truck in the area but I know exactly how many tacos I need to be full and I know they'll come out fast and hot. They have non taco items as well (mulitas, quesadillas, tortas, etc) but I haven't tried those yet as I've been happy with just tacos so far. My only complaint is that they could give you more salsa when you buy more tacos - imo 1 container is good for 3 tacos but not quite enough for 5.

He M.

Yelp
tried them while at the university district fair. saddest tacos i've had, unfortunately. surprisingly very dry and very bland. service was quick and friendly though.
google avatar

Huong L.

Yelp
This truck is near my work and so I decided to give it a try for lunch. It's pretty busy even during this covid session so I'm assuming it gets busier pre-covid. Service is pretty fast though, so that's nice. I got the super burrito with lengua and no rice. I also got a side of extra meat (chicken) and one pork taco. The portion is pretty generous. The burrito was huge and it was pretty flavorful and hefty. The extra meat was also very generous in portion. The taco was pretty standard. They did forget to not add rice in my burrito though. Overall, the meal is pretty good for what you pay for and it's a quick grab and go lunch. I can see the appeal of people coming here.
google avatar

Emi K.

Yelp
I love this food truck! They keep their prices decent unlike the other places that jack it up... you might as well go to an actual restaurant of the food truck costs more! The best thing about this place though is the deliciousness of the food! Fresh ingredients and exquisite taste! I always get their regular burrito. Try all three of the sauces, each adds a different flavor. I rotate them and my mouth is so thankful!
google avatar

Yelp
Very reasonably priced, fresh & authentic Mexican food. The first day I had tacos w steak and came back again for a taco salad the next day. This was on a business trip when I rarely eat the same place twice. It was that good. Two friendly ladies run the truck and prep & give you the food in under 5 minutes. Make sure you try the spicy salsa if you like it really spicy. It makes the beans in the taco salad.
google avatar

Lydia L.

Yelp
Was very excited to try out some authentic food truck tacos. $2.5 per taco? Sounds like a great deal! Steak, chicken, spiced pork, and fried pork? So many meat choices, I love it! Short line and very fast service. Everything was great. Then it came the food. Tortilla with proper softness but a bit dry - acceptable; spiced pork - mediocre flavor and very dry; chicken - okay flavor but very dry; steak - good flavor, dryish. Added avocados came in slices. Overall the food quality was below expectation. Not gonna visit for tacos again. Maybe I'll try something different next time.

Yelp
Very convenient taco truck setup in SLU M-F. They're always busy, so be sure to come between 11-11:30 or wait until 1! They are setup from 11-2 and work fast, but the lines are a bit of a bummer when it's raining or you're in a rush. The staff is really friendly and fun to socialize with. I have only ordered the tacos (steak, lengua, cabeza, and al pastor) but they have been decent every time. What I appreciate is that they give a good serving size of meat unlike other taco trucks that overload with onions and cilantro (I always order without). They have salsas to pick from at the pay station and they're also fairly good.

Rich P.

Yelp
Horrible, horrible, horrible!! This place has cancelled our order twice now. Worst customer service I've seen in awhile. Would definitely not recommend, especially if you want food. I can't say horrible enough.
google avatar

Yelp
Thanks Tomas for your legacy. We love you and your family. You started an amazing taco truck business with authentic mexican food flavor. I know that your physical state is not with us anymore , but your essence will continue living in all of us. Thank you!!!

Yelp
Michael R sucks. 1 Star because they were closed... Tacos are better than anywhere else in Seattle; taco chukies, el baracho, etc.. And the people are really nice. Spicy pork tacos with cheese and avocado, or the beef mulitas are my go-to's.
google avatar

She's Not G.

Yelp
Great service, quick and friendly staff, plus a large amount of protein = the perfect lunch. I usually get the chicken salad no beans & yesterday I had a lovely pile of tasty shredded chicken to feed my body building, energy-loving mind and muscles. I also ordered 1 mulita which is a chicken sandwich grilled using two awesome & thick corn tortillas. Oh my gawd, I could barely finish my salad! If I ate this every day, I'd be ... fat. Don't drive too fast and try the mulita!

Yelp
I will continue to update this review with each different menu item I order. This is more for me to keep track of my favorites than for the yelp community. Love their tacos! I'm always craving them and they are parked right next to my office building. Asada: soft, pull apart steak with little seasoning. I recommend pairing with one of the mild salsas (red or green). Al pastor: by far my favorite taco here. Lots of seasoning and flavor. I personally add a few drops of the hot salsa on top to really give it a kick. But I do that on every taco. So. Whatever. Carnitas: typically my favorite but I prefer the al pastor here. Yummy but not as fall-apart fried as I usually expect from carnitas. Pollo: a bit bland. It goes nicely with the verde salsa, but is pretty plain on its own. They have a self-serve salsa table. The yellow bottles are extremely spicy and I love spicy. I usually am carefu to add only a few drops to each taco for a nice added kick. The salsa verde is delicious and goes with every single type of taco. The red salsa (in the clear container) is mild and has good flavor but not my favorite. The rice and beans are standard and both a bit on the soft side. *Update* the rice and beans I had today were delicious! I added a few drops of their hot salsa to the rice and it was perfection. So it must depend on the day. Today was a great batch. The people that work here are super friendly and they have a collection of salsas and sour cream to add to any meal. They always include limes and avocado is only $1 extra.

Yelp
You want Mexican, and you search far and wide.... what is a middle-class-yuppie-amazonian going to do? *queue up cheesy game show music* Why you come look for a foooooood truck, and today (and everyday) you can delight in the joy of moderately priced goodness! Enjoy a menu of various delivery options. From the 4x$5.50 tacos, to the Super Burrito; and the Mulitas... there is something for your mouthwatering needs. Wait there is more, get any of these options with ether Steak (Asada), Chicken (Pollo), Spicy Pork (Al Pastor), Deep Fried Pork (Carnitas), or Tongue (Langua)! *light shines on you* More you say? Additional delivery method includes Tortas and Quesadilla; all made to order. Compete the order with Mexican Coke and you are set like Donkey Kong. Go get it.

Yelp
I've heard such good things about this truck from coworkers, so I was excited to finally get to scope it out when my go-to taco establishment had to close their kitchen for repairs. Tacos El Tajin has a great website that shows where they will be parked on each weekday which was super helpful so we didn't have to wander the streets of SLU until we stumbled across one. I will start by saying I love taco trucks because that's where I can usually rely on getting my fix of greasy tacos. I ordered 3 tacos today, 1 asada and 2 al pastor which is my usual order. I was offered cheese and avocado and I said yes (I later found out when I paid that there was a $2 upcharge for that... It would've been nice to know that when I was first offered). The food was fast - as soon as I finished paying my number was called. They had hot sauces and sour cream out on the table. I loaded up and was salivating the whole two blocks back to my office. Each taco was loaded with a ton of meat but honestly the meat was disappointing. Not hot and wonderfully spiced and greasy like I was expecting. The meat was dry and I couldn't even tell the difference between the asada and pastor. I did like that they were generous with the limes; I got four wedges for my three tacos. Overall, I was disappointed in the flavor of the meat but I was pleased with the speed of the service during the SLU lunch rush. I wonder if the quality is better at less busy times of day.

Yelp
Let me start by saying that I LOVE Tacos El Tajin, they make my absolute favorite burrito in Seattle. The reason I'm leaving such a low rating is that over the last year and a half or so, their burritos have gotten smaller, and smaller...and smaller. The last several times that I've gone I've been disappointed to see that my burrito was seemingly even smaller than the last time (while costing the same). The third (at the time of writing) picture in their list of photos shows what they used to look like; they practically filled the entire box, but now they are a shadow of their former selves (see the picture I posted). I understand that businesses often need to cut costs one way or another to stay profitable, but taking it out on your customers, especially when your food is this good, is such a bummer. Please start making them like you used to!
google avatar

Monorom P.

Yelp
This is THE WORST place to get tacos from period!! Let me start with the good stuff first. Tacos El Tajin is conveniently located by the corner of Boren ave and Harrison St. They had very friendly and welcoming employees, and they were able to get my order out to me in about 1 minute. Now here's the bad. I ordered the # 1 chicken tacos. The meat was bland and dry, it was like they went to QFC and got rotisserie chicken, sliced it up and put it on there, no marinade or anything. Don't get me started about how they prepared the tortillas. It was literally just slop. $20 for 4 street tacos I expected something better. If you're looking for authentic, reasonably priced food, do not go to this place. Literally horrible!
google avatar

Joop V.

Yelp
I'm a fan of Tacos El Tajin and have been eating from this food truck since 2011. Although there's typically a long line waiting during lunch, the line does move fast. I like that their food looks and tastes more like street food (and not pretty/proper food like what other places may offer). There's a number of meat selection as well as tacos/burritos variation that will suit your liking. There prices are reasonable, and I'm still amazed despite so many years since I first tried this truck, prices hadn't really gone up all that much. Today, my colleague and I grabbed 2 lunches and 2 soda, and the cost was just shy of $16. Really good, tasty and filling meal. Note: just brave the line and get into the queue. The line looks long but it does move fast!

Yelp
I had no idea this taco truck existed until I happened across it one afternoon while looking for lunch in South Lake Union. The first thing you will notice is how super friendly the staff is and they are genuinely happy to be of service. This really goes a long way, especially in the ultra competitive world of food trucks. I ordered three tacos and a tamale which was more than enough food even though I was very hungry at the time. When they asked if I wanted cheese on my tacos, I pictured a light dusting of cotija cheese but what I got was a healthy dose of shredded cheddar cheese layered over the top which was fine even though not quite what I was expecting. One of the things I really liked about this place was the selection of hot sauces which actually do range from mild to really hot rather than from really mild to sort of zesty. When I asked if the hot option really was hot, the lady got very serious and wanted to make sure I understand their sauce was no joke and not to be taken lightly. This, of course, made me very happy and more than willing to add a decent sized dose (not too much!) to my tacos. To me, it really was the right amount of spiciness although nothing that would make me run around in circles screaming for mercy.

Yelp
Even after one visit, even without visiting even half the other taco trucks in this town, it's tempting to wonder whether Tajin might be the king of Seattle taco trucks. The line down the block certainly suggests they're making a run at it, if nothing else. The tacos, burritos, muletas, and a couple other things comprise the whole menu. The ice trough is about half American pop, half Jarritos. Have a Jarritos. That fruit flavor is just better with Mexican street food. You duck under the door flap and order up into the window, then pick up at the next window, then pay at the table by the front bumper. Tomas is rockin the mobile pay station and the straw cowboy hat. He is friendly and cool, and the prices here are right on. $5 for 4 killer little tacos--you can get all different meats, too, not just beef, pork, or chicken. Though they have those too of course. They come with plenty of fresh chopped onions and cilantro, and big juicy lime wedges. Other taco trucks do this too, of course, but the quality here is really high. Can't wait to work my way through the whole menu.
google avatar

Matty R.

Yelp
Cold dry stale meat... must be leftovers from yesterday. I wouldn't serve this food to my dog. Greasy soaked tortillas that smelled like rancid oil. Geez... if you're gonna serve day old food... you'd think they could throw it on a flat top or something, to at least try and resurrect it. Nope.
google avatar

Trey H.

Yelp
Best Taco Truck In Seattle!!! Have yet to been proven otherwise. They're quesadilla plate is delicious!! But you better get their quick cause you're not the only one wanting to get a piece of this.
google avatar

Brad R.

Yelp
This truck is some of the best Mexican food for the price in South Lake Union. Service is quick, prices are cheap, and it's conveniently located next to the office. Cool tips about the truck is that they do take credit card and most of their prices are rounded down to whole dollars so you don't get a stack of change you don't want. Tacos are awesome and you get 4 for $5. Their salsa is really good but watch out for the orange stuff, it's HOT as ballz. I love hot spicy Mexican food but this habanero sauce absolutely killed me 4 hours later. Can you say Mt. Vesuvius.
google avatar

Chris H.

Yelp
Had the super burrito lingua and it was pretty good but the star of the show was the habanero hot sauce it hits with the flavor and the heat. If your nose is stuffed up the sauce will cure what ails you. A definite stop if you are looking find something good and spicy.
google avatar

Jeff G.

Yelp
This might just be the best taco truck in Seattle... I have to refrain myself from eating here too often.. The food is fantastic, the portions are great, and the guy that takes the payment is always friendly & fun to chat with. Try the tongue burrito!
google avatar

Tuvache B.

Yelp
Such a bomb little hidden gem in Auburn for Mexican food. It made for one of the few bright spots down there. I recommend especially when the sun if out and you can go with friends.
google avatar

Jason W.

Yelp
My favorite lunch in SLU. The Al Pastor (Spicy Pork) Tacos are EASILY the best street tacos I have found in Seattle. I used to go regularly when I worked for a certain large corporation in SLU, and needless to say when I took another job in SLU after a year of being away - this was my first lunch. Protip - add just a little bit of the orange sauce and you won't regret it. The perfect amount of kick.
google avatar

Cynthia X.

Yelp
This place was meh. I got the 4 tacos for $5 deal - 2 chicken and 2 steak, and added $1 for avocados (appx 1/3 of an avocado, or 3 slides). Both the chicken and the steak were dry. The avocados were hard (not ripened enough). Prices are decent: tacos are $1.50 individually or $5 for 4. $1 extra for avocados is decent. But 50 cents more for cheese?! They also had 3 sauces which saved the tacos: a mild green one (I drenched my taco in this), a medium red sauce and a hot habanero sauce. I think I'll make my rounds to other food trucks before coming back here.
google avatar

Schyler P.

Yelp
Great find! We were just wandering and looking for a lighter lunch and this was perfect. The tacos were pretty small but there was a solid amount of meat in each even still! I got 2 tacos: one with lengua (beef tongue) and the other with carnitas. Both were very tasty. The lengua was very tender but more like steak and less fatty than other lengua tacos I've had. I enjoyed it! The carnitas meat was a tad bit dry but still very flavorful. I used the green and white sauces on my tacos and they were yummy. The people working the food truck were so so friendly too! If you just walk a little up the street, there are tons of tables at Denny Park where you can enjoy your tacos outdoors!
google avatar

Sam D.

Yelp
Legendary Seattle taco trucks. Remember the day with the really bad traffic? This was the taco truck that straight up started feeding the freeway. Massive icons these bunch and they make a pretty good taco to boot. Remember: take care and don't drive too fast!
google avatar

Kyle H.

Yelp
Ordered the al pastor/pork adobada quesadilla, it was excellent! Tons of food for $8, the flavor was great. I enjoyed the orange-medium salsa, the mild-green was ok, but the light orange-habanero was HOT. As someone who loves spicy food, I was blown away by this one! Would highly recommend if you are looking for a tasty option in SLU.
google avatar

Ray B.

Yelp
Horrible, absolutely horrible. My "super" burrito: - Less than 6 inches in length. - They use a very large tortilla so 70% of each bite is just flour tortilla. - Dry, stale, overcooked meat. - Costs $8. There's better food in the area.
google avatar

Candace A.

Yelp
Decent taco truck. I found the meat to be a little dry for my liking but it wasn't bad. Fast service. Cheap tacos can't complain too much. If you're in the area worth a shot. But if you're able to travel outside the are I probably would
google avatar

John J.

Yelp
Definitely a fan. I eat here often - especially when I need a fast lunch between meetings at work. It's not 5 stars because, let's face it, it's a taco truck. 5-stars is for Metropolitan Grill and Etta's. But this is great, fast food. My favorite are the tacos... 4 for $5. Authentic and simple street food. Choice of marinated and grilled meat (including beef tongue?), cilantro and onion in two corn tortillas, baja style. A wedge of lime for each pair of tacos - I highly recommend adding a squeeze... it really makes the dish. I don't think I've ever waited more than 2 minutes from order to eating. Very fast, extremely friendly, and always quality. And yes, sir. I will not drive too fast! (You have to try it out to understand what that means) Muy bien!
google avatar

Mel G.

Yelp
Cheap, friendly staff, tasty carne asada tacos and great salsa. Yuuuuum.
google avatar

Stephanie D.

Yelp
Please don't shoot me, but could someone tell me either what's so great about this truck or what I'm doing wrong? I've been there only twice and both times had the most disappointing lunch. Today I ordered a chicken burrito which is advertised as coming with beans and rice. In high-brow, culinary review terminology, it frickin sucks. There are no beans or rice. Just chicken in a big old flour tortilla. About 17 lbs of dry, unseasoned chicken. The best way I can describe the flavor is "like 17 lbs of dry, unseasoned chicken in a big old flour tortilla." I can't remember what I got the last time I was there (over a year ago because it was so terrible). What the hell am I doing wrong? Is there a secret In-N-Out style menu I don't know about? Do you only get beans and rice--and seasoning at that--after you've logged a certain number of hours in line? I thought about going back and asking them to beef it up or give me something different but I'm not sure how receptive they are to that and, obviously, there are 10,000 hungry stressed out Amazonians in line now. Oh my god I just found a bean. I am not making this up, I swear--I just found ONE bean. Way inside the 17lbs of chicken. What the WHAT?
google avatar

Annie L.

Yelp
This place is definitely a good spot for South Lake Union, given it is the only Mexican spot in the neighborhood other than Cactus. Meat is tender, flavorful, takes credit cards - so it does the trick as long as you get there before lunch rush hour swarmed by Amazon and Microsoft employees. Just compared to other Seattle taco spots, like Tacos El Asadero, Rancho Bravo, Flair Taco, or Taco Gringo (which I consider 4 stars for PNW cheap Mexican food), I wouldn't consider this place 5 stars.
google avatar

Ian S.

Yelp
Best Mex I've had this far up north. Word of advice - always get the super burrito! Way worth it. The price is the real sticking point for me, as it's a pretty good size meal (not the tacos however) for a price that's much less than many of the other SLU food carts. Only thing I didn't like was the long line but that's just confirmation of the comida buena being served. Apologies, I don't speak Spanish.
google avatar

Chu L.

Yelp
This place has the best CHICKEN TACO and STEAK MULITAS I have ever had. The super hot sauce made by Tajin is so so so good!
google avatar

Mark Y.

Yelp
Great taco truck. super fast service (like within a couple of minutes), delicious taste, and very reasonable prices.. (4 taco for $5.50). basically as good as it gets for the food truck scene at Amazon
google avatar

Melissa C.

Yelp
The best food truck around SLU! My fav dishes are tongue mulitas and spicy pork tacos. Their habanero sauce is so bomb! But be careful - not everyone can handle its heat! Tip: try to get there early and beat the amazon crowd. I usually get there around 11:30-11:45 and only have for 10-15 minutes; last Friday, I got there at 12:30 and waited for almost 40 minutes!!! But the food is definitely worth the wait :)
google avatar

Mat W.

Yelp
This taco truck is LEGIT I go here typically 1-2 times a week for lunch which requires trolley ride, and fair walk. They run a pretty tight ship with quick orders and relatively quick food. They take credit/debit cards, which is a nice feature for a food truck. After being here 50+ times I have had the tacos every time, and 90% of those times were the steak tacos. When I find something I like, I stick with it until it does me wrong. These tacos haven't done me wrong! Small flour tortillas, fresh tasty steak strips, onions, and fresh cilantro. They pack in a couple limes to juice over the top. The lime + the hot sauces they offer are the money combo.
google avatar

Vivian M.

Yelp
If you moved here from SoCal like my boyfriend and I did, this is the closest thing to real Mexican food that you'll find.....in the entire region is Seattle. Seattle REALLY LACKS in Mexican food. Thank god for this food truck! The tacos are really good with soft tortillas, your typical street tacos. I would say the best is probably the Asada or pastor. The lengua was good but not as soft as I usually have it in CA. The chicken was a little try for me. And the prices are really good for what they offer. 4 tacos for $5, pretty good deal compared to other places here. I haven't had anything else besides the taco, but my boyfriend ordered a burrito and it looked really good. I love their tomatillo sauce (the green one) on the tacos. So many sauces to choose from! Definitely THE BEST Mexican place in Seattle. Bummer they only have a food truck and not a restaurant here T__T

Isaias V.

Yelp
I've been to Tacos El Tajin on multiple occasions due to coworkers high praise and it's convenient location. The staff is friendly and the service is very speedy compared to your average taco truck. Intangibles: 4/5 When it comes to the food I am extremely familiar with what to expect when ordering signature "taco truck" dishes. I've tried the tacos, burritos, quesadillas and mulitas. Each visit I ordered something new to give them the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately the flavors are decently bland and for the price I can only reccomend the quesadillas. Tangibles:2.5/5

Tacos. Tacos. Tacos. Oh these are SO good! Everything tastes incredibly fresh and the service is always quick and friendly. The lines look long but they go quickly and even if there is a wait - it is worth the wait!

Yelp
This is my favorite taco cart in the city's core. The staff moves the line very quickly and I've not yet experienced a mix up with my order. The gentleman who takes the money makes me smile. He greets everyone by their first name and seems to genuinely care about his customers. They're fast, efficient and friendly. I wish they had veggie tacos BUT if you're a meat eater this place is AMAZING.The carnitas are my favorite. I love their tacos, quesadillas, beans and rice. This is a slam dunk! I hope they keep up the great work.
