The Best Restaurants in Tijuana, Mexico | Eater San Diego

"Operating under a soaring aluminum carport out of a red canopied taco cart fueled by a flaming barbecue grill is one of the best taquerias in town. Beyond its excellent tacos, there are tostadas, vampiros, quesadillas, mulitas, tortas, burritos, and costras (fried cheese envelopes) that hold mesquite grilled beef shoulder roast or spicy adobada sliced from a vertical spit. The star of the show is the quesadilla de asada, a large handmade corn tortilla filled with melted cheese and a generous portion of carne asada that’s big enough to share." - Bill Esparza

There are a lot of great Fast Food Taco locations throughout Tijuana, but this specific location it has to be in the top 3, it's hard to say No 1 because there are several great Taco stands - restaurants but I'm willing to say that you will NOT be disappointed by the quality, quantity and price. The service is great, they're fast and the personnel has a good attitude. The tacos here are made from freshly made corn tortillas, regular size, not the little tortillas. The tostadas which in fact are not really an open face tostada, it's more of a sandwich style, two crispy tortillas with a lot of meat and avocado. Fresh onions, cilantro and salsa is included if you want or you can ask for any item to be excluded or determine how much you want. Same goes with the tacos. There are other items in the menu but be ware. All the items are good size and well served. Lots of food so start with a couple of items first, you can always order more and they are quick with any additional orders. The restaurant- Taco stand is only open after 5 or 6 pm, as they use the same place as a car wash. They have soft drinks and flavor waters in a bottle. I highly recommend this location. I been to at least 20 different taquerias and I say this is in the top 3.

The Carne Asada taco and Al pastor were delicious. Great portions and reasonable prices. I just didn’t like that both had a lot of guacamole. The Guacamole didn’t have a lot of flavor, no salt or anything else. I will recommend you ask to get the Guacamole on the side.

Place was crowded but service was very fast. Tacos are big and well served and prices are reasonable. Also, the aguas frescas were pretty good. Highly recommended!

Great tacos, fresh made corn tortillas, generous guacamole, and very flavorful we will definitely be back. It's outdoor with plastic chairs, and there is a wait to get a table we ate standing up but defenetely worth it

This place is no joke. You would find the biggest and meanest tacos you'll ever try here. Be aware of sizes, one taco is as big a two regular tacos. And the large quesadilla is HUGE. Can't wait to come back here. Worth every penny.

Freshly made corn and flour tortillas are delicious. The tacos are a very generous size. Their large tacos and large mulitas are huge. There is always a line and parking is not easy. We parked a couple of blocks away and walked there. They also have a "drive-thru" option if you don't want to park, you'll see the line of cars. Overall, I wish I'd come here sooner 😭 36 pesos for a taco is a steal if you're coming from the US, where a tiny taco is almost $5 USD. Google directions gave me the right directions to get there and it was worth it. We ate standing up by the taco stand and service was fast and friendly. Bring cash, I didn't see a cc terminal.

The Carne asada tacos were really good the Adobada was not my favorite but it wasn't horrible. We had good service, the only big thing is there bathrooms were very gross and need alot of attention. That's really why I docked them 2 stars and gave them 3.
