This place was amazing. Great and friendly service, fresh, tasty and high quality ingredients/food. Would recommend.

Very clean and great food. Wish they would have informed me that they put the salsa and cilantro with onion on themselves since my stomach cannot tolerate hot sauce. Other than that it was delicious! 😋

Nope. Not even. I ordered cheese enchiladas, and they gave me beef. To-go order, so there was nothing I could do about it. Im not driving 1/2 hour back there. Also, no enchilada sauce. I don't think they should have enchiladas on the menu without the sauce. The sauce is time-consuming to make. So they're just being cheap.

The best Mexican food on the west side. The quality of the meat and fish is really exceptional. I loved my shrimp quesadilla which was huge and the side salad and chips and guagamole were wonderful. The salsa was also exceptional. The tacos all pastor and shrimp taco also fantastic and generous portions. Nice they have a great selection of beers and even the cookies are homemade and great. The atmosphere is retro cool 60's hip and very spacious and breezy. We were worried about the street parking but it turned out to be no problem. I can't believe we have driven by this spot so many times and never stopped. It's a definite stop from now on!

We tried this spot out based on the recommendation of the staff at my wifes' doctors office. It was ok. We got here before the lunch rush so I found a metered parking spot in front on the street. The young lady helping us was very nice and helpful. We ordered the Carnitas plates with rice and beans. Chips and salsa, and a Carne Asada Sope. The Carnitas were okay not greasy, they were warm, okay. Rice and beans were on point. Guacamole on point. Chips were okay. A little greasy and missing something for my liking. Kinda stale. Honestly in my opinion it was okay. Not the worst but it didn't wow either one of us. I don't think we'll be back even though the young lady recommended the hard shelled tacos and the bacon breakfast burrito, just throwing that out there for some other brave soul. The red salsa was on another level and the flour tortillas were on point I will say that. The place is huge inside and clean. It's older. It was ok. I don't think we're going to be back.

Absolutely outstanding. We went here for lunch/brunch and got a breakfast burrito, breakfast tacos, and chilaquiles. Every bite was delicious and packed with good flavors. It was easy to get a table. This place would be good for large groups. Extensive menu. Can vouch for the exceptional lunch vibes.

Voting on the strength of the birria taco alone. I went from not being hungry to eating the entire taco. Sauce in my freshly-washed hair; don't even care. Boyfriend loved his carne asada and al pastor tacos. Each taco is around $5 each. Delicious and filling.

This place is solidly meh. Meat quality is iffy, beans are usually gray and overcooked just like the rice. Seeing the general grime all around you would think this place would be amazing but it's not. Despite all this the place is popular since there are not any other Mexican spots nearby. Also pretty expensive given said quality. 15 buck burritos with mystery meat. I fall for this place when I forget how bad it is though and always kick myself.

OK, wow I stumbled on this place. It pays the yelp because I looked up inexpensive taquitos cause I was in the mood for taquitos and this place populated about a mile or two away at Santa Monica. It's Father's Day. I'm flying solo. That's not so fun however I've been craving taquitos for half a day And I found tacos por favor the reviews were awesome. The menu extensive so I came to check them out young guy that I was at work in the counter was very friendly being my first time I had a few questions. He was super nice. I ended up getting some taquitos beans and rice Very affordable came with guacamole, salsa, and sour cream. I said don't worry about the sour cream and salsa give give more to someone else I'm not gonna eat it lol Anyways, got my food pretty quickly like 6-7 minutes and they had shredded beef Carne Asada or chicken for the taquitos and I got shredded beef and they were perfect yummy. Wow I just finished them. The guacamole was awesome a healthy portion the complementary chips they come with every order Were yummy. I am satisfied very happy. Check the taquitos box today lol I'll be coming back for more taquitos I'm sure the rest of their food is yummy too but it's like four times. I've used the word yummy I don't usually do that anyways come check this place out if you're in the area whether you're local or visiting if you're looking for some great Mexican food, they probably have the largest menu I've ever seen for a Taqueria Mexican restaurant. They're super nice food is super tasty. Price is right. I can't think of a negative anyways. Thanks for reading and hope you come to check this place out. Wow. Just, wow. This place is absolutely no frills and I knew when I walked in the food would be incredible. The moment I bit into my chile relleno I felt pure Mexican food joy that I was searching for on my California trip. The portions are huge. The flavors are everything you'll ever ask for. Go here. Like twice a week at least.

The breakfast burrito with bacon tastes pretty good. I asked for extra green salsa which isnt that spicy. Id say it's more tangy. The red salsa is very spicy so be warned. The burrito was a decent size. It was a classic bfast burrito with eggs, rice, and refried beans. Solid and very filling.

What I Ordered: -Taco Pastor $4 -Taco Asada $4.15 -Taco Quesabirria $4.15 I was feeling Tacos and wanted some authentic. I found my way to Tacos Por Favor. I asked the cashier by the name of Nancy for some suggestions and asked what was popular. I was told the California Burrito, Tacos and Breakfast Burritos. We all know LA is a taco city and San Diego is a burrito city. I prefer eating Tacos in LA unless a place is well-known or well-regarded for having burritos. If you pay cash, your food will be cheaper than with a card. No problemo! Cash it is! Pennies and everything. I opted for a Taco Pastor, Taco Asada and Taco Quesabirria. All the tacos were great! I prefer not to pay so much for a taco, but with this quality and taste. I'll pay over $4 all day. My favorite is the Taco Asada. The Asada was so flavorful and tender. My second favorite was Quesabirria. I really like Quesa taco and who doesn't like a grilled cheese and a taco combined because that's pretty much what a Quesa Taco is. I don't want to say the Pastor was my least favorite because it was still very good. Each taco comes with a small bag of chips. I only got one bag of chips probably because I was one person. I would have liked another bag of chips, but this was enough food for me. It came with a red and green hot sauces. The green sauce was a bit milder and the red sauce was spicy with a manageable kick to it. There's free water which is always nice. The food was great. I would definitely come here even if it's off the beaten path. This is not the hipster Mexican food you'll find down by the pier. This authentic and quality tasting Mexican food. I'm really surprised the reviews are so low. I saw some reviews from 16 years ago. You know if a business has been in business as long as Tacos Por Favor then they are doing something right.

I tried getting into this place and there is literally no parking whatsoever. Street is jammed and there is not a parking lot to support this business. Better off taking the bus over. [ I'm giving a 1 based on access]. Menu looks good though.

I'd give this place 5* just for their red salsa alone! I don't know how they make it but it's absolutely amazing. After eating it, you'll want more about 30 minutes later... I put it on their burritos (carnitas and carne asada) as well as their chips. The fried fish tacos are also great. I wish I could bring myself to try other items on the menu but I can't get away from what I know will work, although sometimes the fish tacos are not that good. But in most cases they're great.

Do not Recommend bad tacos cold tacos salsa has no flavor and service sucks people working there look like they hate it there! Taco tortilla was stiff like if tortilla was in a warmer and not fresh off the griddle, meat was cold, meat was light taco was not a 5 dollars taco was expecting somethig diffrent Bottled beer was even bad tasted like its been in and out of the refrigerator tasted like metal like when you put beer on ice and then gets warm and for 10 dollars crazy price New name. NO TACOS POR FAVOR

My new favorite place for a cheap quick burrito! The menu is HUGE, like overwhelmingly huge with lots of vegetarian options (not sure if the tortilla has lard but I'm not particular). The restaurant looks old but the tables are actually very clean. I know that cuz I always clean before sitting my child down and the alcohol wipe actually comes out very clean lol. Small cash discount also.

I really love their potatoe breakfast burrito it's very yummy the flavor of the salsa and quality of cheese are great. I haven't been here in awhile and upon my return and to my surprise their burrito got bigger, just as delicious as alwaysss. Quality everytime and they give a little complementary bag of chips and salsa. Always fast, friendly and efficient customer service. The restaurant is large and has enough seating for family.

Wife and I needed quick snack before the flight. We wanted mexican and jumped on yelp right away. For mexican spots, anywhere old with lots of reviews and menudo on weekend, we are down for it, and was not disappointed. Service was fast, food came out fast, reasonably priced, only down side was that the food was lukewarm. I like my meundo & birria piping hot, (my Mexican friends approve of this). Apart from the food temp, 10/10 would recommend.

I'm glad to say that the food is still good here. I went today after a few hours of beach volleyball. I got the cheese enchiladas combo with red sauce. It was delicious and filling. I was a little sad to see that the salsa bar is gone, but they still give out chips and salsa, and will give you carrots if you ask.

The food was delicious and not oily. It is unforgettable. I will come back to this place again and again for sure. The use corn oil and they do not use lard. The service was prompt and straightforward. The place was clean and spacious.

Wow! I'm very disappointed in this torta. I eat hard shell carne asada tacos from here often, and I should have stuck to my regular order. The bread was stale as well as overcooked and burnt. I only wanted to give you one star, but the good carne asada in this terrible torta earned you a second star.It will be a while until i come back.

Authentic Mexican food in the heart of the westside. Located in a busy shopping center with limited parking. Tacos Por Favor has an extensive menu and decent food, but is a tad bit overpriced if you ask me. Not really much of an aesthetic and more of a hole in the wall Mexican spot with efficient service and indoor + outdoor seating. Ive had the chile relleno plate which was pretty good. Pretty decent serving size, but not enough rice. The beans were also very watered down and all over the plate. Another downside was that the plates they use are thin so at one point, i cut through my plate and my food was touching the tray. Gross. Ive also tried the potato tacos - filling, but bland flavor wise. Kind of disappointing considering that they are $5 each. Why is a taco with no meat $5?? Idk but not worth it if you ask me. One thing my coworkers appreciated are their fries lol. The taste/smell like McDonalds fries. $7 for a side order of fries. Decent, but nothing amazing for how overpriced they are.

You don't know the West Side unless you know Tacos Por Favor, the original location. This is the spot - accept no substitute. Authentic, generous, great people, and with the baseball field across the street and industry folks along Olympic, it's great community spot for all! Red sauce, green sauce, I love them both! Why are you still reading, with the shop that's open from 8am-8pm, you could be there right now! Goooo!!

A classic. Excellent all around. Standing and waiting for your name to be called always sucks, but at least you can hear them. The food is stellar and legit Californian Mexican.

The The food is very very good but a little pricey and I love the red hot sauce. It is so delicious and you're also can buy it. It was so good.

First time trying this place out after hearing rave reviews but unfortunately was disappointed. It was about $14 for 2 tacos and a side of rice and beans. The service was pretty fast but there was nothing special to be honest so don't think I'll be returning. Parking on the street!

I give TPF a 5 because I was very satisfied. I was traveling from the valley and wanted something tasty to eat while on the west side. I haven't had fish tacos in awhile and my go to spot wasn't in operations any longer. So thanks to Yelp and all my bookmarks...Tacos Por Favor was next on my list. It didn't disappoint. Service was concise and fast. I ordered 1 fried fish taco, one lengua taco and the staple one small bowl of menudo. The fish taco appeared to be fried a lil too hard but the crunch along with the toppings was good. My lengua taco and menudo were on point! Despite it being a Saturday afternoon, seating was plentiful and it's a large airy space. The atmosphere is very laid back and everyone is there for one thing....good food. I will definitely be back with my family and rec to friends.

This is a solid spot, I'm not sure if it's a "destination dining" for me, who is more of a "basic" needs diner when it comes to Mexican cuisine where I don't like cheese, guacamole, sour cream, avocadoes, cilantro, spice, nor salsa or black beans. I'm pretty basic and stripped down. I love the Spanish / Mexican Chicken prepared not grilled (and inherently sometimes drier) but love the chicken that's almost stewed in a red tomato like sauce and simmers in it to maintain moisture, but Tacos Por Favor doesn't prepare their chicken in that manner. Parking can be tough if you don't like walking but feels plentiful if you can walk a few blocks.

Read the menu first. Great selection of food. Simple place and perfect. Best Mexican tacos in a long time. Good for all ages and surprisingly roomy. Go here and you will not be disappointed.

I came here with a friend while waiting for my car to be serviced. It's a dive spot, nothing special, but clearly popular among the locals who work in the area. The restaurant is pretty busy during the lunch hour, but there is ample seating inside and a couple of seats outside. The menu is extensive, so I stuck with what's familiar and ordered a Chicken Quesadilla and my friend got the same. The quesadilla was delicious. The chicken was flavorful and came with plenty of guacamole, shredded lettuce, Pico de Gallo, and sour cream (a little watery but decent). The only thing that concerned me was cleanliness. It would have been nice to see someone wiping the tables down as people left and I would have felt more at ease if at least one of the two doors were propped open for ventilation.

Unassuming exterior and interior but expansive menu of solid, basic Mexican fare. Glad I stopped. Plenty of parking on the street. Area seemed safe with minimal foot traffic on a weekend afternoon. Tons of to-go orders were a good sign. Service fast. My steak quesadilla was well stuffed with meat and cheese. Really tasty. Chips fresh and salsa spicy. Be careful! I sat at a little table on the street and found it pleasant with not much traffic noise. Inside tables busy. Decor basic. Clean but worn. Bathroom okay. Some tables awfully close to the restrooms for me. If I lived nearby I would be a regular.

I don't think the place is worth it for the price. I got the asada burrito bc it's my friends favorite but I think it's just okay. There wasn't anything special other than it taste homemade but there's definitely better. Also I got a 2 oz side of guacamole for almost 4 which is insane and overpriced. It wasn't even good. The best part was the corn tamale, it was served with sour cream which I loved bc that's how you're supposed to eat it. Overall not worth the price

Review for delivery I ordered the asada burrito, potato hard taco, and veggie hard taco. Unfortunately the food was subpar. The asada burrito had so much potential but was way too small for the price. The other two hard tacos were awful. They were both ice cold and the whole box was filled with corn chips. I also got two other bags of chips. They were all stale. I tried warming up the chips in the oven which made them somewhat better but overall the whole meal which cost $44 with Uber eats was giving back flashbacks of cafeteria food. Really disappointed and confused as this place got good reviews!

My husband and co-workers got severe food poisoning after eating here Wednesday afternoon. It's Saturday and they are still sick... I would avoid eating here completely.

This place is amazing! They have big portions for great prices! I wanted Chile Relleno, however I wanted Mole sauce on top! They loved the idea and created it for me!! The flavor was savory, sweet and makes my mouth water. The exciting part is that they told me they will be adding it to their menu! The staff is so friendly and sweet!

Food was mid at best. It's definitely overpriced for the quality they give you. Enchiladas were awful and the rest was just ok. I'm super disappointed because I saw some pretty decent reviews about this place on Reddit, which it unfortunately didn't live up to at all. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Took out Mahi mahi taco when I got home wrong order. Vegetarian taco not one shred of fish. No dinner tonight

Deeee-licioso! After moving to CO and realizing the Mexican food is way way subpar, I was so happy to find this place on a recent visit back to LA!! It was exactly what I had been needing! So good. Yummy salsas too. Huge menu. Please come to Salida and show then how it's done

First time here and I loved it!! The halibut taco was my favorite and shrimp was also really yummy. I tried my friend's fried fish taco and I would definitely come back for it, the fish literally melts in your mouth. The salsas are really good and the tacos are very filling. I was very full and satisfied with two as they are NOT stingy with their toppings.

Used to love this place. Walked in and ordered to carry out. No prices listed on the hanging menu. I don't appreciate that and actually found the food VERY overpriced. The guacamole was a little dark and came with two tiny bags of tortilla chip crumbs. The tacos were good, not great. The beans had no flavor and tasted like salt and seasonings were forgotten. We will not be coming back.

I wish I could give no stars. I ordered a burrito and it came completely fucked yo and fell apart. Too big and stuffed to even wrap it properly. Such a waste of money.

There's a reason I ALWAYS get tacos in Los Angeles - every place is amazing. Tacos Por Favor is no exception. These tacos are some of the very best I've ever had. The asada taco was so flavorful with charred steak. The carnitas taco was soft and savory. And the pastor taco was tangy and a little sweet! My favorite was their quesabirria tacos, which are filled with shredded beef and cheese, and then the outside tortilla is lightly fried. I do wish they had given some broth to dip it in like I usually prefer, but it was still great nonetheless. They gave excellent verde and red sauces, as well as a extremely spicy dark red sauce that helped cut through the fattiness of all the food. It was such a good experience and some of the best tacos I've had!

Was dissatisfied this time. My menudo came out luke warm instead of hot. There was nothing included to garnish the soup such as onions or oregano. I had to go ask and they only gave me lime and chili. It didn't taste as good with the missing oregano and chopped onions. The burrito had small blue chips of plastic that I had to remove (they were attached to the outside of the tortilla). Made me wonder if it was inside the burrito as well but didn't go through the trouble of transforming my burrito into a disassembled burrito to look for plastic chips, just hoped that I wasn't eating plastic and ate it all. Disappointed but food still tastes great.

Ordered a sausage breakfast burrito and a birria taco on 2/26 and got severe food poisoning. I try to avoid 1 star reviews but I wouldn't wish this pain on anyone. The latest food inspection notes a major violation for 'proper hot and cold holding temperatures' which could very easily be how I got food poisoning.
