Tacos Providencia

The tacos were good, it is a bit of caos in there. Some tacos come with chile, so I couldn't eat them. Server never mentioned they came with chile on them. Also server don't introduce themselves, so when it came to getting the check, we didn't know who to ask (caos). Yeah, if you are on a hurry this is not the place to come to.

Best tacos in the city! They’re really small though and not cheap, but worth it. Good ingredients, really clean and the staff is helpful. They never have peinecillo although is on the menu, and sometimes you have to wait in line to get in. This is not a restaurant to stay and have dinner conversations as is extremely noisy and not comfortable, much more on the get a table, eat your food, pay and leave side.

Excellent taco place. You can order by the taco or half order ir full order. Food is prepared fresh.

The best taco place in all of Guadalajara. And the service is excellent. Their food is delicious, all there meats are cooked and seasoned to perfection. Their salsas are amazing. Their service is superb, their waiters are all very attentive and always close by in case you need anything. We got to try their peinesillo volcan that became my favorite taco, their carnitas that were amazing, their pastor tacos out of this world good and their costilla tacos juicy delicious goodnesses. A must go to place if you are in Guadalajara.

These tacos were very mid and overpriced. I was looking for flavor but never got any. I tried almost every taco and they were all just nothing more than “good”. The only tacos that were actually pretty good were the carnaza tacos. All the others just left wondering where the flavor was. The service is very good tho attended very well. But also the PRICE. It is very expensive when you compare it to other tacos places in mexico

Busy local, authentic, taco spot in Guadalajara, puts our "Chipotle" style food to shame. The 15 minute wait attests to the devoted following this place enjoys. Every taco variation we tasted was very good.

Delicious tacos and fast service. We got about 35 those for our whole family at the table and they were delivered within 10 minutes

This legendary place is 35 years old. We had the pastor, the cheeks (cachete) and the asada. We had a few with cheese and most without. The egg custard thing for dessert was also epic. Super busy but the service is fast and the 40 employees here work like a finely oiled machine. I was so impressed. My girlfriend said best asada taco in the world. The pastor also world class. Great ambience cause it’s a good mix of people and i like the neighborhood. They have ample parking in front of the restaurant and with a lot across the street. Will be back. You must go here if you are in Guadalajara. We had like ten tacos and dessert and a coke and total was 399 pesos ($20 usd) and I’m super full.

It's been five years since we last visited and still love these tacos and quesadillas. It's no surprise there is always a wait but it's well worth it!

Came in for what else, tacos! I ordered 4, 2 asada, Dorados, & al pastor. My favorite was the al pastor. It was very flavorful. The Dorados was a small & crunchy taco that packs some great flavor. The asada was good, but I have had better. I would definitely return & get more al pastor & Dorados. Service was friendly and fast. The inside of this B restaurant is pretty spacious for many people to sit. Don't worry about the lines, people tend to down these small tacos in just two bites.

Delicious food and fast service. The tacos come out very quickly. Drinks are typical agua frescas, sodas, and beer. Had the jericalla and that was very good as well Definitely recommend this place for a good, clean, affordable place to eat tacos.

These were, hands-down, the best tacos we had in Guadalajara. We had asada, carnitas and al pastor and every one of them was fantastic. These are "street tacos", so order a lot of them. We ate about 6 per person!

Such a great spot to try a variety of tacos! It's a busy place but the waiters are constantly checking on tables. There are so many meats to pick from and tacos are small so I recommend getting a few at at a time. All are delicious so you can't go wrong with what you order!

The service was great, clean environment and not to say the least the tacos were delicious! Highly recommend to come and try the tacos!

Great taco place to go to. Walked there from my hotel and was pleased with the level of service, food and attention. Not the cheapest tacos. We had flan for dessert and it was delicious. Loved that they served beer.

Sometimes in life you are very sure about things. So sure, that you put a rating of five stars and write the review before you even get your food. First off, at the table there is a tray with 3 Hot Sauces, pico de gallo, and limes. I'm completely sold. Yes. Come here. They have tacos. Real ones! If you have never had a taco in your life, don't come here. You will be disappointed for the rest of your life.

I have never had a rib taco before but the concierge at the hotel highly recommended it so I had to try it! My boyfriend and I shared a few steak, al pastor and ribs tacos. Although all were delicious, my favorite was the rib tacos. I also appreciated all the different salsas on each table you can chose from to make the tacos even more tasty. Staff was nice and helpful despite of our inability to speak much spanish! We also went to this desert place named d'nuez down the street after our tacos. They had an excellent caramel cheesecake and it was a steal. 13 pesos for mini cheesecake! If I didn't eat that many tacos before stopping here, I would have tried more of their good looking desserts.

Best tacos ever!!!!! Recomiendo los de cachete, legua, carnaza y cuerito. Los de asada y pastor también son buenos pero la especialidad son las carnitas.

It was good the service was excellent!! I had the carne Assad tacos and the al pastor which was delicious.

A trip to Guadalajara is not complete without at least two or three visits to the best taqueria in town. I always get tacos al pastor, tacos de asada (which come with great grilled onions on the side), and quesadillas "bien doradas". You also can't go wron with a gringa al pastor. For speedy service and delicious, authentic tacos - it's Providencia.

Went to this place about a week ago now, I've only just recovered from severe food poisoning! Their tacos made me throw up uncontrollably all day long, must have thrown up around 30 times in one day, it got to the point where I had to call a doctor to come to my hotel room where he injected me with three shots! If it wasnt for those shots I would have continued to throw up uncontrollably, the next day I was still Ill and I felt like I wanted to throw up all day and couldn't eat anything, the day after that I threw up again! It took around 5 days for me to go back to being my normal self, my trip was ruined because of this taco place, definitely don't recommend!

Love this place!! Fast service and delicious tacos. My favorite tacos are : pastor, doraditos and asada!!! Oh and dont forget about the sauces! Green one is avocado base and the red ones are more spicy! Totally would come back!! Will be bringing my friends and family here when they come visit Guadalajara.

This place came highly recommended. The lines around the corner. Everything is very fresh!! Not greasy or fatty. They're fast and have a good system. From outside, inside, banos, tables & the glimpse of the kitchen I seen it was spotless. One of the most cleanest places in all of Mexico I've ever been to.

Good Taco spot if your looking for good tacos this place has them. i had pastor, asada. carintas. i think there best meat is the al pastor tacos. another favorite of mine was the gringa that is like a quesadilla with meat in it very tasty. the hard shell tacos come with carnitas on top they are very small but good none the less.

Best tacos I've ever had! Quality meat and service! It's pricier than your regular street taco, but you're paying for the higher quality meat and location.

I was surprise by the deliciousness of every single taco I tried, the meat so tender and juicy, the tortillas so warm and moisture, I had 5 tacos, carnaza and lengua the best, and not to forget my tiny delicious quesadilla.....

Great Tacos!!! My favs were the pastor! Also had lengua and carne asada which were really good too but the al pastor ones were mind blowing! :)

This place is a gdl staple. Don't let the long lines outside (especially on the weekend) steer you away from eating here. They turn the tables around very quickly. They don't offer menus (well maybe they do, but I was not offered one) so you kinda have to already be familiar with this type of food and order from what you know! We ate 9 tacos and had beer and water for 200 pesos.

I first ate here in 1990 as an exchange student living in Guadalajara. When I recently returned to Guadalajara after 26 years, I was ecstatic to learn Tacos Providencia was still serving the same tasty tacos. I have craved them for years. I love them all. Very satisfying!! I can't walk out without having at least 8 of those things. It's worth the trip!

This place is so far the only good taco place in the providencia area that I have been to. They have a large selection of meats. You can order by the taco or by half or whole orders. The tortillas are very small like the street style. The service is very fast so far I haven't had to wait to be seated.

Probably one of the best places to have tacos in Guadalajara. The place is almost always full (which is always a good sign) and their tacos are simple but very tasty. They have many different ones I recommend asada, pastor, lengua (tongue) and the gringas (quesadilla with the meat of your choice). The service is excellent, its a must in the city.

Sensational asada and al pastor tacos. The asada tacos are al carbon and the flavor is just spot on! The al pastor too were fantastic and the chipotle salsa they use on that taco is really flavorful! Fantastic and kind service from the many staff members that are there floating around. My only disappointment was with the horchata, it was good, but felt very manufactured rather than homemade like you so often get at many of the other taquerias.

Best tacos in all guadalajara. I have come here at least 3 times per week for the past 6 years when i moved to gdl. Place is amazing. The staff is great. Excellent ambient and excellent service. Always food is fresh and excellent. Try there tacoas al pastor with pineapple and tacos de asada which are beef tacos. They are excellent. Highly recommended.
