Tacos Rapidos

This is a drive through only place no place to sit but that doesn't matter its delicious food! I was craving some tacos rapidos and was hesitant since the others turned to taco star. This place still hits like it did before, the only reason I didn't give a 5 star is the salsa amount. I remember when the cups were big and you got to drench the fries, now only the top gets some what wet.

Omg. This was SO fire! 🔥🔥🔥 The portion sizes were amazing. The lengua was perfectly cooked. Service was on point. Salsa was on point. Prices were good too. I promise you want this food. Don't hesitate. Just go! 🤤 🌮🌯🥤

Ordered an asada breakfast burrito with an agua de Jamaica and it was delicious. They do not hold back on the asada either! Gave me plenty of sauces on the side, good sized burrito, def recommend!

ordered the chile relleno burrito and OMG 😳 SO AMAZING! perfect level of heat and the rice was moist and flavorful with wonderful tomatoes. the star of the show was the exceptional relleno wrapped inside. a little crunch from the fryer and it came with extra green and red sauce. would order 10,000 times over.

This must be an unsanitary place to give you old food. I will contact the Better Business Bureau. I highly suggest regular audits. 9:40 pm 11/15 I was served an old, hard tortilla reheated burrito. Nothing about this burrito was fresh. They felt so comfortable serving this disgusting burrito. I wonder if they feel comfortable having raw food mixing or even comfortable not washing their hands. As a business owner, I would expect highly my business. Wish I could rate it lower.

Not returning here again. Got both of my orders wrong and ordered an asada taco and the man at the counter kept trying to convince me that asada was shredded beef and honestly felt like the man was rude to begin with, rushing me through my order.

A favorite for breakfast burritos. They have adjusted their prices for inflation so don’t freak out when you spend $10.75 on a burrito. That’s everywhere. Delicious homemade tortillas stuffed with bacon, eggs, cheese, and fries. They don’t skimp on ingredients. Open 24 hours so skip your Taco Bell and come here for some delicious, greasy goodness.

I gave Tacos Rapidos two chances. The first time, I ordered a Colorado Burrito because it supposedly included potatoes. What I was served was soggy, old string fries. A 12-dollar burrito isn't unheard of, but I'd expect more than generic store-brand freezer fries when "potatoes" are advertised. The second time, I originally requested the rolled taco plate, and I had to ask twice when I was charged 14 dollars. I was flabbergasted. This isn't a sit-down restaurant. It's Mexican fast food. I opted for the daily special enchilada plate (still 12 dollars), but I have made the decision to skip this place going forward. Advice to the management, if you charge what you are charging for your food, please make sure the quality reflects your prices.

The girls that work here during the day made my burrito awesome. First time I've been to one of the drive throughs at Taco star or Tacos Rapidos (I go twice a week probably) where the people working were pleasant to deal with. The food was great too. Get the Colorado Burrito or the Quesedilla.

This place is always busy. I needed something quick to grab and of course it had to be a burrito lol. The service was pretty quick I just say. The burrito itself was a heavy grab. It was stuffed well the only thing is the sour cream made it a little cold. The green chili sauce is spicy so the kick from it hits well. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area. I'll have to rate the burrito a 8.3 out of 10.

I remember the burritos being so much better and actually enjoying and looking forward to having a meal here. The quality of the food has gone down and unfortunately prices have gone way up. Totally didn't feel like it was worth the money for me. If you can, find another option for your craving. There are plenty of other restaurant around that can provide better quality food at a more decent price than this joint. Service was ok and the restaurant was clean enough.

They stole from me! I payed 36$ for my order than I got a notification immediately that my order was charged 43 to my card. I called immediately and the guts insisted it was my bank he pulled up the statement. They insisted they did nothing wrong. Taco river is way better. The food was not worth the price! Never again.

We went here after a friend recommended this place. As the name says, the service was fast. The food was delicious. The prices were decent.

This place is incredible! My go to orders are the 5 rolled tacos with tons of Guacamole and cheddar cheese thank you I feel it is one best bites in Colorado. I prefer the green salsa. The Carne Asada Burrito is always great I don't do well with onions and they will not put the pico in there if asked. It is always fresh to order and I always feel great for the rest of the day when I eat their food. I'm always on the move just wish I lived closer to get some really great food. This is not fast food it's great food.

Love the Carne O Sada Tacos and the Shredded Beef Burritos. We stopped here on our road trip to get some tasty Mexican food and it was delicious. Carne tacos are fresh and not dried out. Shredded Beef burritos are good too. First time here , and it was awesome. Love to visit again.

When your coworker goes on and on about how delicious Tacos Rapidos is, you just have to try it. Now that I have ventured here easily three to four times I can safely say I am HOOKED. Why you ask? Let's talk about it! ++ The Carne Asada Fries - Can I get a hell yeah? These bad boys are piled high with all the carne asada, cheese, and green chile. ++ The Carnitas Burrito smothered with green chile is easily my weakness here! It comes stuffed with perfectly crispy carnitas, pico de gallo, and you must smother it with green chile and cheese! ++ This is a walk-up or drive-up only operation and wait times are minimal. Making Tacos Rapidos the perfect place to dine in these post-pandemic times. ++ The prices are on point! Averaging about $9 a meal two people can dine for under $20! Love! I can easily say that Tacos Rapidos is a must-have when I'm in the area.

Short and sweet. I got the Carnes Asada tortes and it was horrible. There were two wafer thin pieces of scorched meat l, some sort of watery bland guacamole sauce and lettuce. All for only $9.95.

The ordering and service I received here was the worst I've experienced. The woman at the window should never have a job working with the public. She screwed up my order twice, argued with me, did not apologize, and would not remake yet another error and told me I didn't order what I ordered. She's an embarrassment to the business.

I ask them to make me a taco with beans and rice some salsa and guacamole and they really told me the cook doesn't want to make it. Not that they were out of anything. I said charge me for the chicken taco, they said its to messy he doesnt want to make it as if theyre the ones eating it.... They said to get the supreme burrito instead. I explained im getting a taco because it's v 4$ not 10... Im broke I just wanted a taco without meat...

i ordered super nachos without cheese and they added cheese, but that's not even the worst part we went to go tell the lady at the register that they added cheese specifically when we asked for no cheese. the lady at the front kept on denying that we didnt ask for no cheese while giving us SOOO MUCH ATTITUDE. we had to buy another super nachos. if you ever want to remove the cheese off of your super nachos specify it 2-4 times!!! never coming back again while my stay at denver.

How is this a Denver legend? It's interesting to read the mixture of rave reviews vs the 1 star reviews. I ordered a beef burrito, 1 carnitas and 1 beef taco. All 3 were tasteless and the meat was so tough and rubbery for all 3 items. I smothered it with the little salsa cups they provided to give some moisture lol, I am sure I will have indigestion from that meal. I had the 2 tacos, it had a lot of meat but the meat was tough, tasteless and had no flavor. The slop of lettuce and cheese was like an after thought and I've honestly had better meat from Taco Bell- that is sad. Are all the rave reviews from people that are stoned?? Only explanation I can think of. Overpriced tacos - not tasty I would not go back. I tossed the burrito because why bother. Waste of $20. Too many other taco places to bother with this one although it's nice they have a drive through. Service was abrupt but the expectations were low for a 24 hour spot on Evans. Do not recommend save your money and go elsewhere.

Just got the coldest fries of my life ... waste of 16 dollars... and the torta lady taking our order was rude.

Used to love coming here. Been here many times. Asked for hot sauce. Couldn't understand me. I asked 4 times. That's fine. I was still polite. My boyfriend and I were starving and were looking forward to our food. Ordered a chicken taco. Took a bite almost broke my tooth on a bone. Ok it's authentic. Not my first rodeo took another bite I hit something hard spit out my food. Opened my taco there is a half raw chicken drumstick. I'm like what in the actual heck. Well needless to say both my boyfriend and I were laid up with food poisoning. Thanks. That was awful. I'll be not ever ever coming back again. Don't think they would actually care to know. I almost threw up. Pitched my food. Should have taken pictures.

I stopped and had two Colorado burritos and was very pleased. Yes I would recommend them good food.

Rude service asked for tacos al pastor charged $5.00 per taco and didn't receive tacos al pastor settled for what the rude server decided to give us opened the box 3/4 of pico de gayo thin layer of meat not al pastor very disappointed would not recommend

Go to taco star instead , food was not cheap && for it to be sloppy and had hairs all over the tacos and asada fries . All bad 1st and last time ever coming here

Tacos Rapidos is a Denver Legend. Open 24 hours, very efficient drive through and delicious Mexican flavor. Went through during a snow day during this quarantine period... grateful to the staff and happy to support local. It was fire. Peep the pictures, do yaself a solid and stop by here for the best Carne Asada Fries ya dun ever tasted playa!!

Tacos rapidos can literally never get an order right and they have a policy of no returns. Oh ok. They're also lazy, rude, and slow. Go elsewhere.

Spent over $60 to feed my family of 4, which would be fine if they were good. I ordered chorizo and egg burrito that came with only fries, egg and cheese inside of the burrito. Absolutely disgusting. This place used to be my absolute favorite fast food, Mexican food to eat. I am so disappointed and I have tried to call multiple times with nothing but a busy signal.

Listen. Tacos Rapidos is not fancy, nowhere near shmancy, and may even be a bit sketchy to the naked eye. But isn't that prerequisite for good, authentic, Mexican food? This is a hole in the wall if I've ever seen one, but they are open 24 hours and have a drive-through. The price is MORE than right and their menu is.EXTENSIVE with a capital E. I've tried the Chicken Chimichanga - HUGE burrito filled to the brim with chicken, the other fillings (lettuce, tomato, sour cream, guacamole) served next to it so you can put as much or as little of any of it as you please without skimping on the meat. All for $7. I've also tried their Carnitas Burrito - again HUMONGOUS and that carnitas is so perfectly flavorful without being overly seasoned. That meat really tastes like meat and not like some of the mystery meat you sometimes run into at the chain taco places. Their Chicken Quesadilla is spicy and, you guessed it, big af. $5 for this bad boy. I wouldn't quite say they are exactly Rapidos - every time I've been there, the wait hasn't been the shortest. But they definitely know their tacos...and burritos, and chimichangas, and anything else that involves a tortilla. This is definitely my new, after-hours, 4th meal spot.

Tacos Rapidos is simple, fast, CHEAP, and you get your bang for your buck. It's a good serving size for food and allows you with enough leftover for another meal. I grew up in San Francisco where we had amazing Mexican food. Since coming to Denver for school. It was hard to find food that was as good San Francisco. But tacos Rapidos fill that emptiness! I love going here. I think It's worth giving it a try!

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food in a hurry, this is the place to go! The tacos are scrumptious, the burritos are to die for and the staff is amazing! It may not look like much from the outside but don't let that stop you from trying their amazing food! I will definitely return!

Went to Tacos Rapidos Evans for the last time today (12/21). Been going there for probably 10 years. They have raised their prices A LOT. Chicken enchiladas used to be $6. Today they were $9. And, for the first time, I got the totally wrong order. When I got home - CHEESE enchiladas. Not a scrap of chicken in sight. Like I said: won't be going back.

Simple, fast and delicious. The breakfast burritos are the best in town. We have been coming for years!

the cooks here are thieves. they always ring up the order wrong and give the wrong change. They are stealing every time and i am so sick of it. I ordered a carnitas plate 9.25 and a soda. I gave the guy 20 bucks and he gave me 3 dollars change. Then I sat there and said this is the wrong change. They speak spanish and act like they have no idea what you're talking about. total bullshit they know they are stealing. the time before this I handed the same guy 20 bucks he closed the window and comes back 2 minutes later and asked for money again. I started screaming I just gave you 20 bucks. then he say no no no no asking for more money then he all of a sudden finds my 20 bucks in his hand. Whoever owns this place should be pissed. They are robbing your business blind and are the biggest assholes in denver. they are ripping off your customers. ASSHOLES

If I could give a negative I would. After they handed me my food. After the dude closed the window i heard him say "adios gordita" so unprofessional costumer service. Not only that the carne asada fries gave me a stomach virus.

I can't go a long night of being out and about without ending it with carne asada fries. Literally. Life. Changing.

I must of repeated myself 10 times and all the guy would say was " what was that?" Followed by a long pause then "what was that? Then repeats my order back wrong! Idiots

Don't expect to get fast service. The drive thru still takes 30 minutes (at best), you'll be trapped with cars both in front and behind you. The food is fine but isn't anything you can't make at home. Don't waste your time or money.

I can't believe it's drive-thru only place. We arrived in Denver late at night and my Hubby's niece picked us up at the airport. On the way back to her house in Harvey Park, we passed this neighborhood and she said it's a good take out Mexican place if we need to have a little something. We didn't need it but we said ok to the idea. I had a shrimp taco to go. Very cool concept. It seems Denver is pretty safe to have something like this out in the open in the middle of the night. The drive thru area has outside seating in case people buy and want to eat there. You just can't eat inside because inside is meant for the staff only. I enjoyed my shrimp taco. Surprised to know about this place. Good idea to open a drive-thru Mexican food like this.

So this is by far the most authentic Mexican food I have had since living here and in a long time! We have tried a regular carnitas taco, bacon, egg, potatoes, and cheese breakfast burrito, sausage, egg, potatoes, and cheese breakfast burrito, carnitas plate, and chicken burrito. Every single meal we have gotten from here has been so good!! The portions are huge! They load you up on meats, the tacos feel like burritos, and the burritos are huge! This place is legit! A definite spot to hit up anytime of day because they're open 24/7!!

Southern Californian here! I know Mexican food. Like, I know-know it. Seriously. K, I'll get to the point now... A Denver-native friend of mine brought me here. I ordered the carne asada tacos and was not disappointed by the portions or cook on the asada. The tortillas were soggy, even though we ate in the parking lot. I love that this joint is open 24/7 -definitely the perfect place for for a drunk meal.

Tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt despite the negative reviews. As many others have pointed out, the cashier is extremely rude, and they messed up our orders. Ordered four regular tacos and 12 rolled tacos, they only gave us two. Paid almost $30 for it. Food was decent.

This is not gourmet or the best Mexican food in Colorado, not even close. For you SoCal transplants, this is reminiscent of that chain of fast-Mex joints that ends in "to's". Some of it is downright bleh, yet I've been here three times now! So, I've been going back and forth between a 3 and 4-star rating, but I'm holding at an A-OK rating of 3. First of all, the double drive-thru is ridiculous, especially since they don't deliver food at drive-thru speeds. So, if there's a line, prepare to wait and wait. And don't think you can circumvent the madness by parking and going to the window. No matter what and especially if they're busy, be prepared to wait a good 20+ minutes. The upside, of course, is that I've always gotten hot AF, freshly prepared food. Speaking of the food, I think it really depends on individual menu items. The first time we went, I got a chicken quesadilla. It was huge and full of cheese, but the large chunks of chicken were bland and so watery, the whole thing was a soggy inedible mess. Tacos were standard with not a lot of flavor in the carne asada. Store bought tortillas were a little rubbery and it just needed a really good dosing of salsa to make it worth eating. Wife got taquitos, which were pretty standard for a semi-fast food joint. Half melted cheese, basic guac, nothing special, but sorta hit the spot. The next couple of times were much better, I think because we kept it simple. Ordered the Colorado Burrito which comes with carne asada, potatoes (actually french fries), cheese and salsa. Not much can go wrong here and, it was pretty tasty with the cheese and salsa giving the meat much needed flavor. The green and red salsas that they pack with your order also added some nice heat and dimension. What I actually really appreciated is that they rolled this burrito nice and tight, so it was easy to eat while in the car and stayed hot all the way through. On our third visit, it was early-ish on a Sunday and holy shit, there was no line! Again, keeping it basic yielded a decent meal. Wife got a sausage breakfast burrito, and I went with bacon. Inside was meat, egg, cheese and "potato" according to the menu but french fries yet again. Really solid burrito, proper dispersion of ingredients so there were no "pockets" of just egg or just meat. And again, a nice tight roll that made it easy to eat. I actually had to give up about three-quarters of the way through. It was very filling, and I'm not the type of gal who fills up quickly. Overall, not a place I'd go for a delicious, authentic meal. But if I'm in the mood for (sorta) quick and easy and a few steps above Taco Bell, this fits the bill. I do think the prices are a little high considering the quality just isn't there but nothing outrageous. If the line is short and you're not expecting a 5-star experience, definitely give them a try.

Grew up in Southern California and THIS IS IT. I found legit Mexican food in Denver. Not a burrito smothered in Green Chili in sight. Authentic carne asada burrito (just guacamole, carne and salsa), bean and cheese burrito, rolled tacos, horchata and Jamaica! If you're from California and tired of telling the people of this state what real Mexican food tastes like - take them here. I nearly cried while eating my burrito that I found this place.

We ordered Chile relleno burrito, it was just OK, it has a ton of rice and cilantro, it was bigger than what I expected, but would not mind a smaller burrito with less rice and more chile relleno. We also had the cheese enchiladas, the sauce is not bad but the cheese is the shredded yellow cheese that wants to grow up and be cheddar.

So first off, don't be afraid to take the passenger side window line if there are a lot of cars. Second, if we're including the line of cars or at the walk up window, it should be called "tacos regular-speed". Third, their salsas are a game changer. (I freaked out a little with how good they are.) In conclusion, definitely worth a try. You've probably heard of it before, and that's because it's a solid spot for satisfying food that you can access at any time. But have realistic expectations: you're getting tacos from a kiosk in a parking lot. Really good, no frills, delicious tacos.

The food is actually really good and it's open 24 hours! However, the customer service is horrible. I get it, it's not a fancy place but at least listen to the customer on what they want. The good: the food for the price. I always get the carne asada fries or carne adobas fries no guacamole.... I really enjoy the fries which is why I never mind waiting in the long lines. The bad: They always put guac on my fries. So I started asking for it on the side. That seemed to work. Seems impossible to modify an item honestly. The speaker on the right side sucks so I can barely hear the cashier. Sometime I don't even know if they even took my order cuz I have no idea what they're saying. I speak Spanish so the language isn't the issue. It's the speaker. The cashiers suck. I'm sorry but I'm done being nice about it. My last two visits is what made me come here and give them 1 star. First visit, I drove thru ordered my usual. I could only hear some mumbling so I assumed they got my order correct. At the window I made sure to ask if he heard that I wanted no guacamole. The young man said no, so I simply said well I don't want guac. I kid you not this man said "well they are already made".... If Im paying for something, I want it made correctly the first time. They did remake them for me so there's that. Second visit, I ordered my usual again as well as a carne asada plate and a drink. Again, I couldn't understand the cashier. So I drove up. First thing the cashier does is give me the bag and I noticed it only had one plate so I looked and saw a burrito. I told her that wasn't my food so she said "oh" and proceeds to give me my correct order. But it wasn't. The only thing I received was the carne asada plate.m and not my other two items. Frustrated, I decided to just take this plate and go. It was dinner rush and I simply did not want to come back and complain again. On top of all this the cashiers don't apologize, they barely even look at you. Seems like the cashiers are robots, although I'm sure robots would do a better job then the current cashiers. These last two visits were it for me. Previously they would mess up on the no guac thing but I usually let that slide. Everyone it's something and it seemed to only get worse. Just take your business somewhere else down the street or to the Tacos Rapidos on Alameda and Federal

Pretty sure this is a lie that I haven't reviewed here; because I've been to both TR locations; anyone who read my previous review knows I'm a huge fanboy and consider them to be the best grilled authentic burrito in Denver. Weird how some old reviews one writes stick around and some others evaporate... Anyway, in a nutshell, this place is popular and has a devoted following. To the best of my knowledge, there is no place to dine inside -- you can either walk up on the north end and stand outside exposed to the elements (be they icy or sweltering) and wait for your order or go through a drive-through; they parallel on both sides of the building so you can hand your payment through the driver's side window or passenger side. The driver's side drive through I think there might be a partial issue with the speaker system, but There are many selections here to choose from -- full combo plates, tortas, tacos, burritos. chimis, tostadas, enchiladas -- but my favorite (at both locations) is their burritos. If you get the carne asada (with guac) or the lengua (it's tongue; trust me anything grilled is delicious!) burritos, they are *stuffed*. And not with bull**** fillers like rice. Quite a few don't even have bean. You pay $6 here, but you get a long cylindrical burrito about 2 1/2" across filled with amazing ingredients. The meat...I don't know how they do it, but it tastes somewhat buttery!! It just adds to the enjoyment and epicness of how good the grilled food is here. [I am amused by Liz C's review from 10/25 saying she found a *rock* in her burrito. Sounds like urban myth to me...] Their breakfast burritos are astounding as well. The drive-thru lines can vary from a few cars to over a dozen in each line. That doesn't happen if you aren't making great food. I don't legit know if both locations are open 24/7 anymore -- they don't appear to have any web presence and Yelp says (and I believe I've seen on the Alameda door) they have finite business hours at the Alameda location. The Evans drive-through? Unknown. I know it's open late nights past 2am on Friday and Saturday nights. Give them a shot, bring about $6 per burrito -- buy 2 or 3 and put in your fridge for a superior breakfast or lunch experience the rest of the week. :)

What a disappointment! The food looked like slop and it was way too salty, and greasy

I have rarely done this and I will be disagreeing with fellow Yelpers. My go to 24 hour place is Breakfast King but I was near Federal and Evans so I thought I would try Tacos Rapidos. I read all of your reviews and they all 4-5 stars. They were obviously short handed tonight. But, I ordered the carne asada burrito and wow that was the saltiest meat ever! But their guacamole is freshly made and delicious. That's why the extra stars. But my burrito tasted disgusting - but my beagle, Romeo, loved it!!! They need more staff in there for a 24 hour place.

I want to love this place because it's spot on flavorwise but their service is awful. They never get my order right despite the simple request of no tomato (tomato allergy) They have also spilled entire sauces inside of my bag. I am not rude at the drive thru or the window I just don't understand why they mistreat me nearly every time I've been there. I keep trying because it's covid and they're obviously good but I will no longer go to this business after the continuous mistreatment

24 Hour Drive up Mexican with two drive through lanes and a walk up window. First: That's awesome. They really want to be able to get food to you and they give you several ways to get there. Second: 24 hours is great. Though I have only ever made night or late night runs to Tacos Rapidos. Far superior to other drive through fast food Mexican joints. Huge menu to choose from, though I usually end up ordering the same things. I recently tried their chips and guac. Fantastic. Don't go in expecting gourmet food. And if you're hitting it up on a weekend evening/late night, don't expect to get out of their quickly. That might be my one complaint. Very long lines at night even with both lanes and walk up open. But this really hits that spot when you want fast food Mexican after a couple beers or bowls. When you get to the window, the food is fast. It is very transactional. Give the money, get the food, no talking. But I can understand. The place is ALWAYS busy. You should absolutely try it once.

I was hungry and it filled my stomach. I could name 4 other small taco huts I'd rather eat at.
