Tried this place out for lunch since I wanted something different in the area. It’s pretty small but decent. About 3 bar stools to sit on and 2 small tables. I ordered a chicken torta ( sandwich ) which was good but I wish they were a bit more generous with the chicken. lol. One slice of grilled chicken doesn’t suffice the bread & toppings. 2 slices would have made the sandwich perfect. I’d come back and try other options. They give you a small complimentary carrot cake which was good.

Love the tacos here!! Really nice staff and feels so authentic. I’m saying this as someone who grew up on the boarder of Mexico and it’s the next best thing!!

Absolutely recommend - delicious and good portions! Picked up food from here twice and their tacos are great, especially the steak ones.

Al pastor nachos are solidly good and filling. the carnitas tacos are very good—tacos were simple and hit the spot. a hole-in-the-wall spot—a few seats inside & a table or two outside on the sidewalk. a little gritty, but clean. service is friendly enough. stays busy because of nonstop food app deliveries. recommended—if you’re hungry, set your expectations, and enjoy food with no social media flash.

Burrito bowl is delicious. Salad is fresh. Very friendly service . Delivery and pick up are amazing.

Everything about this restaurant went down hill. They raised all the prices on all of the items. And all their food items qualify went down. I used to order 2-3 times a week last fall and spring. But now they are less flavorful. Stale chips, no longer fresh cut fries- just the generic frozen fries. Quesdilla greasy less protein filling, no guacamole at all, no sour cream and Pico that came with the dish previously. But they raised the price $5+ I gave them no more shot as this is the second time was order was terrible. But now I will no longer be donating my money to to this business.

Serviceable Mexican. They have a couple of really good things like the chicken tika taco and black beans and rice. They include a tummy little carrot cake muffin with every order.

Absolutely love this place!! It's a small hidden store but it it's a MUST TRY in the area. The birria tacos are so good, the flavor is top tier with the perfect amount of crisp to them. There's very limited amount of seats but it's definitely worth trying. They also have 10% student discount !!

With a name like Tacos Times Square, I didn't really have high hopes for this restaurant. I ordered from here because they had an offer on GrubHub for $5 off and the food seemed inexpensive. I ordered a chicken burrito bowl and birria tacos, tortilla chips and a soda for under $30 after applying the $5 discount. My husband had both of these meals and he enjoyed them. The portion sizes were good and the food was flavorful. The birria tacos, which came with a side of consomé, reheated well in the air fryer. This probably wouldn't be my first pick for Mexican but it's a good reasonably priced pick in the area and I would likely order again.

Hidden gem in Kips bay, tucked away and discrete. Authentic Mexican food. Yummy and flavorful tacos, really hits the spot with that extra lime. I wish they gave chips on the side and I wish the salsa was spicier!

Delicious quesadillas and burritos! The chipotle chicken quesadilla was absolutely delicious. Their salsa was also delicious. Burritos were enormous filled with rice beans veggies and meat. Would definitely be going back for the quesadillas. Definitely recommend!

Regular Nachos suck. No more quac. Little to no beans. Flavorless. This use to be my regular, never again. I am glad I brought a side of guac. Never mind, the quac is watery.

Got 4 kinds of tacos through ubereats. Favorites were the shrimp and chorizo. While I did wish they were bigger and had more filling, that's just me being a fatass. There is a good amount of filling and for the price, I was very satisfied with my tacos.

The taco salad was not as pictured. No crispy shell, only a smear of beans, no cheese. Basically $9 of lettuce.

WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? BEST TACOS I'VE HAD IN YEARS. YES YEARS! Sorry I'm yelling but I really just did not expect such high quality tasty crispy crunchy tacos from here. What a pleasant delight! Ordered the 3 tacos for $10 special for delivery (freakin phenomenal value and was the reason I chose to order from them today for the first time ever). I chose their Carnitas in a hard shell with a topping of cilantro and onion (added sour cream for an additional .75 cents). I was blown away. Other taco spots please take note from these guys for the following reasons: 1- They delivered my hard taco and the shells were not soggy at all! This is so important! The shells aren't gringo store bought Taco Bell like shells. They're homemade, like they just came out of the deep fryer. Almost like a puffy crispy crunchy! Absolute dynamite. 2- They gIve customers a choice in toppings. You rarely get this option when ordering online. I loved their offerings of either cilantro and onion OR cojita cheese, lettuce, tomato. I dig the fact that next time I can choose to switch it up while still getting the awesome carnitas. 3- Speaking of carnitas.... Wahooooo! Wasn't super watery; the perfect seasoning, texture and taste. Again, so pleasantly surprised for the price I'm paying. 4- It's the little things that matter to me... like not sending out a delivery of tacos with a sorry ass looking dried up lime wedge. The lime wedge served with my tacos today was big, juicy and looked like it was just picked off a tree in Florida! Overall: several topping choices, lightning fast delivery, big bang for your buck, and most importantly super tasty and high quality! Guys, I'm just so thoroughly impressed. Bravo for paying attention to the details. Oh and AMEN to Yelp for directing me to this awesome business. I've lived in my apartment for 2 years and had never ordered from them until today.

I've gotten tacos here so many times in the last few months! They are consistent, quick, and dependable. I always get the chorizo tacos topped with cilantro and onion. Simple and yummy! Their green sauce is a great addition to the tacos.

Noticed this restaurant on my Seamless and decided to give it a try. I ordered a chicken burrito and chips/guacamole. The burrito was LARGE and in charge. Very flavorful. The chips and guacamole were good as well. The only issue I had was delivery took a while and by the time it arrived, the burrito was cold. Overall, I would say this is a good option if you want Mexican food.

I was annoyed because I really wanted to love this place, I really did. I read the reviews and they were all CORRECT! The food is very good but delivery is a problem and the restaurant does in fact forgets items. I was really hoping that didn't happen to me because I'm at The NYU Children's Hospital with a very sick baby nephew of mine and somehow the only downtime I got, I wanted a hot meal with a drink and they forgot my PAID FOR, CAN SODA (SPRITE) The food is incredibly delicious but delivery is the issue, my tostada was soak and wet, like there was literally no crunch to it. It was a sop of wet shell with meat and beans. That was dissatisfying to say the least. As for the burrito bowl, it was delicious and a tad bit spicy with lack of meat. I also seen that as a complaint by fellow yelpers! To the management team, please give customers more meat, not the tiny amount you spread out to make it look like a lot. The guacamole was also delicious as well and on point. A few things they can fix and they'll be perfect!! They have the potential to be the best.

Ordered both the Carne Asada Taco set of 3 & the Pollo Asado Taco set of 3. The tacos and service was average. The food came pretty fast tho. But they gave us very little sauce and the tacos were a bit dry. However, they do give student discount which was a plus!

First time ordering for delivery here. The name totally threw me off, this place isn't located in Times Square so don't be alarmed or anything. I was surprised to see my burrito was HUGE. I think it's definitely worth worth ordering from and definitely beats chains like Chipotle. The size of the burrito is really big super filling. I was really happy to have the lettuce and tomatoes on the side because I could just spoon it on top of the burrito with every bite. Definitely how I imagined it would taste. The nachos are really good too really different ordered the steak one. But I left it closed in the Tupperware for about an hour or two and they became soft so just a side note to eat them immediately. I put it in the oven and they turned out fine though. Everything was bursting with flavor exactly the craving I had for a burrito and nachos

Mealpal pickup today from Tacos Time Square. The restaurant is def more of pick up than dine in, small space but clean. The staff seemed nice and was quick to look into my Mealpal App for the pick up screen. I got Carnitas Burrito Bowl. The pick up was quick. Same small portion as photo online. Taste was sublime, I can say, I've had better Carnitas Burrito Bowl in the past. They give 2 sauces with the burrito bowl, which are not spicy at all, so if you are looking for a kick of spice, maybe they have hotter sauces than the one I got. Def worth $5, I will not pay more than $5, I am still hungry after this meal. #mealpalnyc #tacostimesquare

A real hole in the wall and no where near tome square despite its name :p, caters to delivery and pick up as it only has a single table that seats 4. Had the steak burrito bowl via MealPal, portion on the smaller side but the the overall taste was fine. Steak was well done, yellow rice with salsa on top, beans and hot sauce and green sauce on the side. Probably wouldn't come back except for MealPal, depending on the price if I want a burrito bowl might just go to chipotle.

I am a very picky eater and throw away about half of the delivery food we order. These people know what they are doing. Really GOOD. I hope they keep it up.

The name can be a bit confusing, considering the store is located in Flatiron. Nonetheless, I am excited to have found another lunch spot by Baruch College! TIP: They offer a discount with Baruch ID! For around $10, I ordered a Chicken Burrito Bowl. My bowl to-go came in these shallow plastic containers, which can be difficult to open given how shallow it is. The presentation of my bowl wasn't the prettiest but it's always the taste that matters most right? Everything tasted pretty scrumptious except for the rice. I did not like how mushy it was. It wasn't until halfway into my bowl that I realized I forgot to dump my green sauce in. Which sucks, as the bowl tasted WAY better and definitely felt more enjoyable to eat afterwards. I just saw a photo of the steak quesadilla on Yelp photos. And it looks delicious. I am definitely going back to try more of their foods!

We were excited to finally get some on point al pastor tacos since we moved from Arizona last July. The only those this joint is missing is pina on the al pastor and my wife noted the jamaica could be a tad sweeter otherwise great job guys.

Food is made and tastes authentic. Big portion for affordable pricing in the city! 5 stars, Definitely check it out.

Was excited to try this place based off of some of the other reviews and that it looks like a good hole in the wall place. I ordered off seamless for pick up. Before ordering, I called to check that they were open because the maps said they were closed. When the woman working there picked up, she was so rude and laughed at me for asking if they were open. I told her that it says they are closed on the map and she didn't care. Very rude. When I went to go pick up my order, that same woman was there and was super unfriendly when I said hello and tried to have small talk while getting my food. Wouldn't even respond. Mind you, no one else was in the store. This put a bad taste in my mouth and definitely made me enjoy our food less. I got a steak burrito and it lacked so much flavor I felt I was just eating nothing. Guacamole was good. Shrimp taco was ok but the shrimps were so tiny. Overall wouldn't return just based on the poor interaction.

More like Tacos Scam square .. ordered a chicken burrito .. had literally 2 pieces of chicken and was just filled with rice .. for 14 bucks including tip .. what a scam .. never again

Had good reviews good and fresh. Had delivery. The tacos were filled well and double tortilla'ed. The chips and pico de gallo were a mixed bag. The chips were ok but the pico was great. The green sauce could be spicier and the red sauce had an interesting after taste. The veggie tacos were good but the shell could have been crispier. The falafel taco had a nice spice but was not great. Perhaps just off this time, but will come back to try more things here.

Definitely your whole in the wall type place with good food. I ordered the carne asada burrito and it was good. My only issue was that 3/4 of my burrito was just rice... Felt like I was trying to find a prize by trying to find the other ingredients in the burrito aside from the rice. Otherwise, the food itself tasted good.

Don't bother ordering, they won't even show up. I ordered 40 minutes before closing, pre-paid. They confirmed the order. Never heard from again. Couldn't reach them. Not a word of explanation. They just closed and never showed up.

While I have to say the name "Tacos Grand Central" is a little bit of a misnomer, I'm also willing to overlook that. I order from TGC pretty frequently at work - it's a great price point that never pushes our per diem, the delivery is decently fast and always reliable, there's no delivery minimum, and the food is actually really, really good. My go-to is either a chicken or steak burrito with the works - it comes in the good delivery packaging (if you order food a lot, you know EXACTLY what I mean) - which isn't a huge deal, but I've gotten some pretty banged up meals delivered before. It comes with some pico and lettuce on the side. The burrito is PHAT and absolutely delicious - the meat inside is always incredibly tender. It's a super filling and yummy lunch for $10 or so. I usually order a horchata too, which is aggressively reasonable at $2.66 (an oddly specific number but nonetheless, a deal) and it's some of my favorite horchata I've had. Creamy and decadent with just the right amount of cinnamon. All in all lunch today cost me just over $16, and that's including tax and tip for the delivery driver. The delivery drivers are always incredibly pleasant and never call me too early, which drives me a little crazier than it should. Usually my food will be quoted at 30-45 minutes or so and arrives very reliably in that time window. TL;DR - I probably should eat salads for lunch more often, but when I'm nursing a hangover or just feeling like I should put on some winter hibernation weight, TGC is a great option.

Despite the name, it's actually located in Kips Bay/Flatiron area and not Grand Central! I'm so glad I came across this place on Yelp because it's delicious! I'm from Brooklyn so I am used to the cheap, authentic tacos from Sunset Park. In the city, it's always overpriced tacos. However, I'm surprised they opened up a restaurant so similar to those in Sunset Park. Now whenever I'm around school, I can always count on this place to fulfill my taco cravings. The restaurant itself is very casual and more for take-out. There are tables to dine-in but if you're expecting something fancy, Tacos Grand Central isn't it. They have many deals here - I usually get the 2 tacos and a soda for $5. The tacos have two options. You can get it with cilantro and onions or lettuce, tomato and cheese. I like the first one slightly better but that's just me! I add guacamole and it's only 50 cents extra. Well worth. The steak was a little dry but the carnitas did not disappoint!

Let's get down to it. La Posada is closer to where I live. It's good. They had a C rating for awhile so I went to find another Mex place. I found this place. Daaayum. It's pretty good. The nachos are excellent, I get them with chorizo. Their other food is good. Authentic. I'm Mexican. It's also priced fairly I'd say. Sorry La Posada, even with your A now, you're not as good. This is my Mex now in this area.

I absolutely LOVE Tacos Times Square. Admittedly, I was nervous to order from them at first. Their name implied a tourist trap, but their food and location quickly dispelled that. I'm still not sure why they're named Tacos Times Square, besides to maybe get business from people looking for the best tacos near times square? Regardless, their food is dope, cheap, and delivery comes super fast. In the past 3 years I've ordered from Tacos Times Square at least 100 times (not an exaggeration). They have never disappointed me. Their California burrito is great, and definitely indulgent. It's got fries and comes with the sauces on the side. I'd love to see their take on a California wet burrito, though. I'm sure it'd be equally delicious! When ordering tacos, it's important to note: These baddies are double wrapped. Double wrapped tacos are amazing because: a) More substantial; and b) you can actually get two tacos out of it if the tortillas don't rip!. We've had their burritos, burrito bowls, quesadillas, all of it. Every single thing on this menu slaps and if you're not ordering from them, you're missing out.

I've been going to this place for a while - their name actually used to be tacos grand central but then realizing they weren't in/near grand central, they changed it.....to Times Square. I don't get it. But anyway! A great place in the area for delicious Mexican. I've always done take out or delivery though they do have some limited seating if you wanted to stay. I got the vegetarian burrito bowl today and it was tasty! I wish it had come with a few chips though because I am one of those people that needs a crunch with every bite. Note, the red sauce definitely packs in some heat so be sure to use sparingly. The green sauce is ok. I actually added my own Trader Joe's green dragon sauce instead (a personal favorite) and enjoyed my meal to the max. If I were to compare this to a chipotle though, for example, Chipotle's larger portions would leave me more satisfied. But I like to support small biz so I'll be back.

Like many others I was legitimately confused when I stumbled across Tacos Times Square while perusing Yelp for a late night snack. Apparently their original location is in Times Square and they just decided to keep the name. Totally checks out. Still confusing AF. This is my go to whenever I'm craving tacos. Which is apparently A LOT since my last three reviews are from different taco joints. Maybe this is a sign I should branch out more, but lets be honest there's nothing more satisfying than a well made taco. Taco Times Square is no exception. Their taco deal is the best bang for your buck since you get three double wrapped and overflowing in meat/toppings for a little over 9 bucks. They also offer 25% off on Tacos Tuesdays. If you're ambitious and patient enough to unwrap that second layer there's enough filling to turn 3 tacos into 6. If that isn't a life hack I dunno what is. If you're not as enthusiastic about tacos as I am their quesadillas and burritos are equally as satisfying. Although sometimes a little soggy when delivered. Oh, and if you're in the mood for guac and chips don't sleep on theirs. It's $5 which is the best deal I've found in Manhattan to date.

Sometimes you need tacos. If you're near here, and it's one of those times, they have tacos...and they taste good. They don't have al pastor, which is my taco of choice, but what they do have (steak, chicken, veggie, chorizo, carnitas) they handle well. They'll throw any of those things in a burrito or a quesadilla if you prefer, or even on top of a salad if you're one of those anti-tortilla terrorists out there. The space itself isn't going to win any awards on design, but you're there for the tacos, and the tacos are good.

Ordered the vegetable burrito salad. No vegetables, no beans. All lettuce. Good thing I ordered the extra (it doesn't come with it) and sour cream (doesn't come with it). $15 for a bowl of lettuce. Very, very disappointed. Won't order from here again.

I've been trying to convince my girlfriend to try this place for months based on lots of great reviews on Seamless and Yelp.. ...Does anyone have any idea how much it sucks listening to the queen of delivery ranting about how we should have just ordered from the place she always gets Mexican from? Yeah, so ordered from Seamless and was given a 30-40 minute delivery window. Though not all that late, I called the restaurant about 5 minutes past the "late" arrival estimate. I was told it had been ready for a while and was just waiting for a delivery person to pick up. Of course, I was immediately like, crap... one of the grossest things you can get after it has sat too long is Mexican. Sure enough, it lived up to what I expected. Food seemed to have the potential to taste good but by the time we got it, it was a cold, soggy, gross mess... oddly enough, the hard shell tacos were some how not soggy; just cold. As mentioned (and to be fair), based on the flavor I was able to decipher, the food was likely good when fresh. Unfortunately, after dying at the pickup window, and then the 7 minute bike ride; those Carne Asada tacos, pollo enchiladas and Shrimp Quesadillas were no match for the juice of the steak/chicken, the grease from the cheese and the steaming up of the containers where they were given a cruel and unusual death. $75 for Mexican delivery for 2 adults and a 3 year old was kinda expensive to begin with, but considering if I had been served this at a restaurant I would have sent it all back and expected to be comp'd the whole meal, it's really expensive. Anyway, sucks... what else can I say... Oh, I guess one thing I could say, even though this was a lousy experience, I'd probably give them a chance again if I was going to eat on site.

Look no further for some authentic Mexican tacos! Real Mexican food is so hard to come by in Manhattan (looking at you Chipotle) so I was very happy to discover this hole-in-the-wall spot in Kips Bay. This no-frills spot has a pretty typical Mexican food menu, but the standout here is definitely the tacos, which can come with onions and cilantro or tomatoes, lettuce, and cotija cheese . They've even got a 3 for $10 deal which is perfect for lunch. The chicken, steak, and shrimp tacos are solid, but the al pastor is in a class of its own. Seating is a bit limited so it's best for takeout and delivery (available on Seamless), although I suggest ordering through their direct website for a cheaper rate.

Yummy, authentic tacos!! I usually get lunch here while I'm in school @ Baruch. This place has delicious, flavorful Mexican food. The meat fillings are all packed with spices and flavor. I sometimes get the onions & cilantro option but I prefer the tomatoes, lettuce, & cojita cheese. The chicken and steak are both good but I personally like the steak slightly more. They come in soft shells with two tortillas so the taco doesn't rip. There's a red sauce and green sauce but I always get green everywhere. The sauce is sooooo good and fresh tasting. I also add sour cream for 25 cents per taco because it makes the taco saucier and less dry. 3 tacos definitely fill you up. The staff at the counter are always very nice and friendly and the establishment is clean. Definitely stop by, you won't be disappointed!

Please tell me why this place has four stars? This is by face the best taco place in Manhattan. Usually, when my fiancé and I are craving Mexican, this is our Go-To place. The tacos remind me of the tacos my mother's bestfriend (who's 100% Mexican) use to make. It's very fresh, flavorful, and balanced! Not only is the food on point BUT the delivery and serves is. I love this place so much + I hope they never move. If they do move, I hope close by me so I can walk out my front door + grab some amazing tacos. Thank you for your amazing serves! I always recommend this place to everyone!

Was looking for a New Mexican spot on Seamless and came across this restaurant. I decided to give it a try and ordered a shrimp burrito bowl. It arrived within an hour and was really good! There wasn't a ton of shrimp which was a bit disappointing, but the rice was cooked perfectly and there was a lot of salsa, beans, guac, and sour cream as well which made up for it. Overall I would definitely order again but maybe put a note asking for extra meat.
