"LA would be a better place if there were a Taco’s Tu Madre on every fifth block. For now, we’re just glad there’s one near us. The feel of this place is somewhere between a restaurant and a food truck. It’s a small, colorful building with a casual walk-up window where you order. They have a small indoor area with some bar stools and a few tables. But the emphasis here is clearly on the food, and it seems their low overhead allows them to innovate. They have more than just your typical Mexican style fare with delightfully unconventional tacos like vegan banh mi and Korean barbecue. You really can’t go wrong.
