The 12 Best New Restaurants in Baltimore | Eater

"When it was announced that former head chef of the revered Cinghiale Julian Marucci would be leading the kitchen in this new Italian restaurant, local food lovers instantly took note. And since opening, the Harbor East restaurant has been racking up accolades. Inside, patrons can expect to dine on plates of homemade pasta, like the squid ink campanelle with blue crab and sea urchin, over the sounds of nightly live piano. Or on warmer nights, they can sit outdoors with spoons of king salmon crudo and wine from the 1,000-plus bottle list." - Ryan Detter

Absolutely phenomenal experience from start to finish. Our server, Marlo, was exceptional—attentive and personable. We started with fresh bread served with olive oil, a rich truffle butter, and 18-month aged Parmesan—absolutely delicious. The drinks were excellent, and the chicken parm was perfectly prepared. The homemade pasta was incredible. We were also treated to a complimentary appetizer and limoncello shots after dinner, which was a wonderful touch. Easily one of the best restaurants I’ve visited in Baltimore. Highly recommend!

Google
What can you say but Magnificent. From the service to the food and relaxing atmosphere. The service was impeccable, very professional and informative on every item drinks and food. The food was top notch the pasta dishes we perfect and each one had its own flavorful taste . The swordfish was done to perfection. Very tasteful ambiance that set a nice relaxing and peaceful night. Was not loud and we were able to converse easily throughout dinner. Would highly recommend this to anyone that loves Italian food but also outside of Italian, such as steaks and some seafood.

Google
Visited for early dinner reservation on a Saturday. We were promptly greeted and checked in and sat at a table inside near the courtyard. The service was prompt and our server provided great recommendations about the menu and drinks. We had a small child with us and they made sure to accommodate the table and provide options that all could enjoy. The kitchen was able to accommodate a traditional Italian pasta that was off menu and every dish from appetizers, salads, and entrees was phenomenal in flavor profile and portion. The raspberry Bellini is very refreshing. There is paid street parking nearby. $$

Google
Cannot say enough good things about this place! Tried the burrata salad, 2 of their in-house made pastas, the duck and 2 desserts, everything was scrumptious. The waiter (Christopher) was friendly, extremely knowledgeable and spot on with all recommendations! Julia, maybe a manager, went above and beyond with customer care, even going to far as to reserve us a spot at the speak easy next door for after our meal. All of the waiter staff were friendly and obviously cared about their customers. Will definitely be back!

Google
Wow! What a fantastic restaurant! The food was absolutely the best I've ever had. The steak just melted in your mouth. It was absolutely perfect. We also had the bruschetta bread bread. It was delicious and covered with fresh peas. I'm serious, it was amazing!

Google
This is my third time here, it’s a must if you’re in Baltimore. The food is amazing, farm to table, and the atmosphere is great. I had the zucchini soup, the special mezzaluna pasta with fresh Italian pork sausage in a pork broth, and the semifreddo dessert. Delish.

Google
Food was delicious. I had the squid ink pasta. Spot was super pricey and the staff was not very friendly so knocked my review down a bit for that. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Didn’t want to leave so grabbed a coffee.

Google
Our server was very attentive and very great. She really knows what she’s doing. The food was OK. The pasta was a little hard. I definitely will be back to try a different dish. The vibes were great. Our bill was over $400 but it was definitely worth it. I want to give a shout out to the woman who was filling our drinks throughout the night. she came every five minutes to check if our waters were empty she needs a raise. thank you so much.

Yelp
Back again in giving reviews! I went there with my husband for dinner last weeked. We celebrate our anniversary there and the place was perfectly great. The vibe was so wonderful and has pleasant seating. Nice decor with lovely lighting to enjoy. The table setting was so nice. The server was attentive and accommodating. Menu offers great variety of decent food. Everything was well-prepared and looks so appetizing. The appetizers were absolutely. They have plenty of pastas, we had the Bolognese which taste so creamy. The New York steak was well-cooked and has so tender meat. It was well-seasoned too. Overall, it was fantastic.

Yelp
I've been to Tagliata a few times for happy hour and always enjoy their great deals, but this time I came for lunch to celebrate my birthday. Street parking is available but requires payment. We were seated right away, and lunch seemed less crowded than usual. The service was excellent, and the drinks were well-made. The small pasta portions were great for sharing between two people, and the Tuscan chicken appetizer was hot and crispy. The bread, served with whipped butter and fresh Parmesan, was a highlight--soft and fresh. While I recommend happy hour for better pricing, lunch was still a nice experience and worth the occasional splurge.

Yelp
Had one night in Baltimore, hoped for a romantic dinner with my spouse. Am astonished this place is recommended for a romantic night out--I can only assume most people don't want to talk with their dinner companion? Walked in and was seated near the piano playing singer, whose voice and music was loudly amplified throughout the restaurant and outside in the patio. Impossible to carry on a conversation or even to enjoy my own thoughts. I didn't especially enjoy the singer, but that wasn't so much the problem as much as it was the volume and my inability to escape the relentless, piercing almost physical assault of it. Good service, very good food. But three months from now when we're talking about our romantic night out in Baltimore, I won't remember the bruschetta with poached pears, or the creamy risotto with duck, or the velvety lobster ravioli...I will remember us sitting silently across from one another as "I WANT TO SWING FROM THE CHANDELIER!!! From the Chan-DA-LEEEEEER!!!!!" penetrated my ears and violated my skull from the inside. I don't understand why nobody is mentioning this in their reviews.

Yelp
Took my cousin to Tagliata to celebrate her birthday. The service was good per usual. The restaurant was packed and there was live music. The food was delicious. Their bread plate is great. We shared the meatballs with whipped ricotta as our appetizer. I had a grey goose lemon drop martini and she had the stella rosa cocktail. She had the squid ink pasta with crab and i had the chicken parmesan. We shared the tiramisu for dessert. So yummy!!

Yelp
Simply amazing. Food, wine, and service. Wine list is vast and diverse. Food was cake, and every course served hot and delicious. Very attentive staff! Going back for sure.

Yelp
This was my first time at Tagliata as well as my friend, we had made sure to make a reservation in advance as we heard this place gets busy and good thing we did because it was definitely packed. We mostly came here for the Happy Hour but sadly missed our chance as it was too busy at the bar. We ended up getting a table outside and we were both in awe about how nice this place looks! The ambiance was beautiful and has a romantic/fancy feel to it. We ordered the Affetati Piccolo(Chefs Selection) as our starter. It was beautifully placed and the meats and cheese were delicious! We had a lot ordered a glass of wine as well as the Sprezzatura cocktail, which were both good. I ordered the Rigatoni Alla Vodka and my friend ordered the Bolognese. The Rigatoni was fantastic, the texture and the sauce definitely made me want more! My friend enjoyed her Bolognese and really liked the sauce. Overall experience is a 10/10! I will definitely be coming back and can't wait to try other things on the menu and hopefully will be able to try out the Happy hour!

Yelp
My friend learned about their happy hour menu from an Instagram reel so we decided to come! I would say this place is worth visiting. Since we got the happy hour menu items, the portions were small. However, I think it was worth it to sample the menu for an affordable price. We were seated outside under a tree and it was gorgeous! Would come again.

Yelp
My all time favorite Baltimore spot I've been about 7 times now and tried a good portion of the menu and never been displeased. The ambience is perfect, seating comfortable, lighting romantic, aesthetic welcoming and comfortable. The wait staff is always great and attentive. I've been here for a few friends' birthdays and one anniversary and they're very generous with a free little drink or dessert if you're celebrating someone. Everyone has been nothing but kind. The food is to die for. Some of the best vodka sauce around. And the sea food dishes are more than worth it. The half portions of all the pastas are very affordable, and the perfect portion size. The wine selection is also amazing. So far I've tried: the calamari, meat ball, squash soup, fried chicken, and smoked salmon bruschetta appetizers and they're all delicious (though the salmon bruschetta is perfection) For entres I've tried the rigatoni vodka, squid ink campanelle, and lobster ravioli , also all delicious though the squid ink pasta is a personal favorite and I order it almost very time. Their tiramisu is also delicious. I will continue bringing any out of town visitors here as it's my favorite Baltimore restaurant!!!

Yelp
Beautiful and inviting space. Great outdoor space. Indoors is impressive and a bit intimidating. People We're dressed up and others in shorts and t-shirts. Bread was great to start the meal. Meatball appetizer was excellent. Unfortunately the eggplant was way undercooked and inedible. Pasta that was homemade was served barely boiled.

Yelp
Had a wonderful meal on the outdoor patio last night. Many elements were great! But a couple fell short. To start the cocktails were delicious. I had a lemon drop martini and really enjoyed it. We ordered a bottle of wine for the table and were initially impressed with the sommelier but he failed to mention he was selling us the last bottle so later on when we requested a second bottle we had to switch to something else. So we'd have appreciated a warning so that we could have gone with one that we could get two bottles of the same. For the appetizer the charcuterie was phenomenal. A huge hit and one of the hilights of the meal, along with the crab crostini special of the day which we had as an appetizer. That was my personal favorite dish. Our server was fantastic and gave great suggestions. For entrees we had lobster ravioli which I thought was very good, braised short rib, chicken Marsala, and two steaks. The steak is where they missed the mark- ordered medium and was served without any pink on the inside. Which was a bummer and disappointing- however, the restaurant quickly and graciously fixed it by taking the steak off the bill. To conclude the dessert was delicious and very well done. We got three and shared them. The perfect ending to the meal! The ambiance and noise level outside was wonderful and super enjoyable. The server was very personable and gave excellent suggestions. Overall, a very nice evening spent with friends. Just a couple of kinks they need to work out going forward. But I'd definitely recommend coming in and giving it a try, if I'm ever back in the area I'd come back for sure! Management is clearly very involved and attentive over service and every staff member treated us attentively from beginning to end so even when issues arises they were quickly and efficiently taken care of. 10/10 customer service which is really what makes the experience!

Yelp
Finally updating my review years later and Tagliata still remains as my absolute favorite Italian spot in Baltimore! The warm and attentive staff, cozy yet sophisticated ambiance, and live piano music create the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. Also, if you haven't checked out their happy hour, then you must go ASAP because it is amazing!! Recently, I went for their dinner and I started with the squid ink campanelle, a dish that blew me away with its unique, rich umami flavor and perfectly cooked pasta. Next, I savored the lobster ravioli, which was packed with fresh, succulent lobster. The silky, flavorful sauce was simply out of this world. I always get the veal bolognese for happy hour and this time I got a large portion for dinner. I love this pasta dish so much, it has such a hearty, flavorful meat sauce that is incredibly satisfying. Tagliata continues to impress me with its outstanding Italian cuisine and never fails to deliver an extraordinary dining experience. Highly HIGHLY recommend this spot!

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY SUPERB. I shouldn't expect less from any restaurants that are apart of the Atlas group. This restaurant put me in the mind of their restaurant Marmos in Houston. We were meaning to go to their new Speakeasy next door but the host there was such an unpleasant human that we chose to not entertain the establishment. We chose to go to Tagliata not knowing that this was the Atlas Grouo restaurant. I knew right away when I saw the pastas. The carrot dish was sweet and savory. I normally don't like cooked carrots but these were great. They were roasted just right. The Squid ink pasta is a classic of this group. This is the exact same dish I get at Marmos and it was great as always. It carries out well for the next day so do yourself a favor and order the large size and have a wonderful leftover the next day and relive your food memories all over again. The cocktails were on point, always well balanced. The atmosphere is lively. I would make a reservation. We didn't and stopped through late evening and were able to get a table but I think we were lucky.

Yelp
Tagliata is a contemporary Italian steakhouse boasting steaks, fresh pasta & a massive wine list. I have been dying to try this restaurant, we finally got a reservation for a Saturday night. I highly suggest making a reservation as this restaurant is very popular. The atmosphere is beautiful on a spring night, they even bring out the heating lamps to ensure your comfortable seating outdoors. The service is top tier, our server, Chris was very knowledgeable and patient with us as one of our guest was running a bit late. He ensure our dishes came out at the right time. We enjoyed a half dozen oysters as an appetizer, the Calabrian chili mignonette sauce was a bit too spicy for me. I enjoyed them on their own, perfect brine to each oyster. We also shared a New York steak aged for 45 days. So nice and tender. The star of the show was the lobster Ravioli, it was so good. The lobster was cooked perfectly and the ravioli was perfectly seasoned with the right amount of sauce. I would come back just for that. Parking can be tricky in this area but they offer valet. I highly suggest visiting if you are celebrating a birthday, anniversary or just simply want to enjoy a good meal.

Yelp
We had an excellent dinner at Tagliata while visiting Baltimore Inner Harbor. We tried to get an online reservation but there were no available times. We had heard sych good things that we decided to try to walk-in and we were lucky enough to get a table for 2 on a Thursday night. The atmosphere is cozy but modern. We split our meal so we started with the special appetizer that night of crab bruschetta. The burrata salad was delicious! We had the lobster ravioli for the entree. Everything was delicious! The wine list was excellent and lots of cocktail options as well. Definitely recommend if you're in the Inner Harbor!

Yelp
I came for a business lunch so didn't pay for it myself, but it's pretty darn expensive. I got a full portion of lobster pasta with spicy sauce (forget the dish name) and it was fine but maybe underscored that I don't love Italian or lobster (that isn't covered in cheese, or baked into ravioli) The appetizers we got were great! The calamari was spicy and fun, but I really adored the beet bruschetta. Service was great and the interior is pretty enough. I wish my companions had wanted to sit outside because the leafy covered area was pretty and peaceful

Yelp
Came here for happy hour special. The alcohol and food menu is pretty extensive for HH. The bartender works fast to get everyone their drinks and food. There's also free bread service for everyone who orders food and probably one of the best food item served. Priced are very reasonable and judging from the crowd HH is definitely very popular. I would get here right before HH or else you would be waiting to get a seat.

Yelp
Tagliata in Baltimore combines stylish modern elegance with delectable Italian cuisine. The vibe of the restaurant is chic and sophisticated, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. I started with the smoked salmon bruschetta and Tuscan fried chicken as appetizers, both of which were good but nothing to call home about. For my main course, I had the squid ink campanelle, a dish that was as visually stunning as it was delicious. The combination of flavors and textures made it a hit! You definitely notice their attention to detail and commitment to quality. Whether you're looking for a special date night spot or simply want to treat yourself to a culinary adventure, Tagliata is a must-visit destination in Baltimore.

Yelp
The least offensive of the Atlas Group restaurants in Baltimore. Located in Atlas Quarter in Harbor East this Italian restaurant has the best happy hour in town. The courtyard is cute and the bar is bumping. I went recently with a friend for HH and enjoyed it. The bartender, if not a bit too forward was super attentive and helpful. I had been here a few times since 2018 and forgot about their HH. The full bar does a good pisco sour too if you're ever in the hankering. To get the HH, sit at the bar, we were able to ask people to move to get in on the deal. There was also a live piano player which was kind of surprising. We shared the meatballs - fine, Caesar salad (it was too cold), oysters (lovely Calabrian chili mignottete), fried chicken (we thought the yellow bits were radishes but they were lemons), the tagliatelle with ragu was the better of the pasta dishes, I thought the rigatoni would be better but the pasta looked like it was cut. I do love their bread and cheese service too. If you come for dinner, do get the squid ink pasta, last time I had it, even though it did taste a bit commercialized was good. Oh and they do have bottles of Carmenere, which you can't always find. Do note the bathroom always smells, I'm not sure why, but the walk to the back the restaurant is never a pleasant one.

Yelp
We were in Baltimore for our annual conference. I follow Baltimore Food scene on instagram , and this restaurant comes highly recommended by her. We called ahead and reserved a table for 4. This place gets packed as this is one of the best Italian restaurants in Baltimore. Staff were very nice. We arrived a few minutes early. They had our table ready for us. We ordered 4 different things so we could try them and have our own rating about this restaurant. We ordered bolognese, mushroom risotto, chicken parm and eggplant parm. bolognese definitely stole the show followed by chicken parm, mushroom risotto and then eggplant parm. Quantity is good. Ambiance is great! We didn't have trouble finding a parking spot. Highly recommend this place if you're visiting Baltimore.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic experience! We came to Tagliata to celebrate my wife's birthday and had an amazing time. The food was delicious, the service was top notch, and the restaurant was beautifully decorated. We tried several different steaks and pastas as everyone shared, and had the meatballs as an appetizer...delicious! We capped off the evening with the tiramisu and a shot of espresso. Overall, one of our best dining experiences in Baltimore.

Yelp
Tagliata was one of the finest dining experiences I've had in a long while. It was Valentine's weekend, and my date had reservations (highly suggested). Parking can be a bit difficult, but we lucked up and found a fairly close spot nearby. Now, I've passed this restaurant quite a few times and never really gave it a second thought. But I'm so glad I finally had a chance to experience this place! Tagliata's ambiance is 5 stars in itself. It's very warm and welcoming. The hostess, the waitstaff- everyone was just great. Our waitress (I fail to remember her name, but she had a fabulous manicure), was knowledgeable about the menu and gave us suggestions on what to eat. For our appetizer, we settled upon the meatballs that were AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!! So meaty, flavorful and the sauce was perfect. My date had the duck over polenta and poached pear. That dish was delectable and the dish's flavors paired soooo well! I had the half portion of the lobster ravioli. As a gal that loves to eat her full portion of meals, this was just enough! The cream sauce was delicate and not too heavy. The chucks of lobster were juicy little bites of love! Sweet, succulent, and very fresh! Note: I was enjoying myself so much that I failed to take pictures of our meals & dessert. I only got snapshots of the meatball appetizer. Lol! For our finishers, my date and I shared a slice of delicious tiramisu. I had a single shot espresso which went awesomely well with the dessert. Although the restaurant was absolutely packed, it still felt comfortably cozy and romantic. The music, the low lights and great food made for a wonderful experience that I will not soon to forget!Five stars across the board!

Yelp
Based on one review. Beautiful restaurant in Baltimore open LATE for dinner. How refreshing! Dined there Friday October 18 following Brett Goldstein show at The Lyric. We had Pear bruschetta, half portion of Lobster Ravioli and half portion of Squid Ink Campanella. Portions were perfect and beautifully played. Pasta cooked to al dente perfection. All dishes were beautifully balanced and flavorful. Service was unobtrusive and excellent. Staff seemed to work well with each other. A sublime evening in a beautiful restaurant. Did I mention I was happy they could serve a meal after a show? Thank you Tagliata for setting the bar high and providing an outstanding meal!

Yelp
My partner and I went here for a romantic date. We were seated in the patio and absolutely adored the ambience. If you dine here, I highly recommend coming in the evening to sit at their patio. The brick alley aesthetic along with the charming string lights were accompanied by live piano music which made it even better. Their design is amazing. Our waiter was very professional, he just asked for our orders and offered the specials. As for the food, it was pretty delicious. This spot was a 4.5 star experience for us. Here's what we got: Amor Fati: I got this mocktail because I was in the mood for something cute sans alcohol. I loved what it looked like. It had a nice fruity acidic kick to it. Pilsner: Can't remember which brand my partner got, but he enjoyed his beer. Roasted carrot salad: This was absolutely delicious and not what I imagined it would be (in the best way). I adored the smoked ricotta accompanied by the honeyed roasted carrots and greens. Squid ink campanelle: A very unique pasta! It had crab, was cheesy and creamy, but also light. I've had squid ink pastas in the past, this one was a new taste to me. It was a 4 star dish for me. Chicken Parm with pasta added: This is my partner's all time favorite dish. We both found it to be a bit bland. While it was pretty good, it needed more flavor. Maybe more herbs? If you're looking for a great atmosphere and yummy food, this is a good stop for you.

Yelp
My first time coming to this restaurant, I saw it on Google maps as well as the hotel. I was staying at headed on there. Hotel restaurant selection I went there. Yesterday was very busy with that today set outside was elegant quaint this is a restaurant I will take a interest or a close friend our first time date though food is affordable. Food was excellent. My waiter was name Carl. He was very attentive. Very pleasant. Everything was wonderful. I give it a 10.

Yelp
Came here for Mother's Day lunch, and I cannot wait to come back! It was pretty crowded, so I'm glad we had a reservation. The weather was pretty bad, so we couldn't sit outside. But they have really nice patio seating with heat lamps. When we came, we were seated right away and our server came to start taking orders. Everyone was very nice. For the appetizer, we had the meatballs with the toasted bread and whipped ricotta. Every part of it was absolutely delicious. The meatballs were tender and flavorful, and the ricotta was a nice refreshing complement. For the entree, I had the chicken parmigiana. No exaggeration, it is one of the best I have ever had. The red sauce was so good, the chicken was well cooked, and the cheese was heavenly. I would go back just to get it again. Everything was great!

Yelp
Always have a good charcuterie and assiette de fromages. Can't go wrong!! is it really nice selection of your meats & cheeses

Yelp
I was kinda dragged here, as I rule, I don't do overpriced Atlas establishments...but a friend really wanted the bread here. And, I have to agree, the bread was indeed wonderful. But we were at a inside table just trying to eat bread and have some wine when the waitress informed us the inside tables are for actual dining only and we got kicked outside as the inside bar is currently under construction. Luckily it was still nice out because I didn't have my jacket. The outside bar bartender was much friendlier and took good care of my friend and me. I attempted to order a Green Machine but was told they didn't have it (then take it off the menu!). The beer I ordered instead was fine, but at this point, I was ready to go. While Tagliata has nice ambiance inside and out, there's something about it that doesn't work for me - the cost to eat a full meal there, of course, but also the clientele that kind of establishment attracts. Not my vibe.

Yelp
We are here again and again! We like the service, food and ambience. Always busy place! Better make a reservation. By the way they have happy hour between 5-7 pm which pretty fun and nice! Atlas Group make their business pretty good!

Yelp
Waaay too expensive for what it is. My wife ordered some of the hand-made pasta, and what came out was the most boring, uninteresting bowl of pasta. The Sauce was supposed to be a vodka sauce but it didn't look or taste like it. I had the special spare rib lasagna. I got the smallest little burnt peace of lasagna. The prices for this place are outrageous (close to 100/person total) but the food was sooo disappointing. I love little Italy in Bmore but won't be returning to Tagliata.
google avatar

Connie L.

Yelp
First visit was so so but the second visit was great! The dishes here are hit or miss. The carrot appetizer with smoke ricotta and truffle honey - 5/5 amazing! Still dream of this dish Lobster ravioli- yum! Squid ink Campanelle- yum burrata salad - good Tiramisu- not too sweet and perfect texture What we didn't enjoy the first visit- maybe it was an off day Meatballs- they were very dense Tuscan fried chicken- was bland and under seasoned Calamari was so so Braised short rib dish was not good However, the second visit was amazing and would go back for pasta plus those amazing carrots!

Yelp
Tagliata was an absolutely lovely place to stop for dinner. The restaurant is stunning with a classy, date night vibe. They had a live pianist and the place was absolutely packed for a Monday night. I was able to snag a seat at the bar and the service was impeccable. The bread board that came with my meal was so amazing and full of Parmesan, butter, and warm rosemary bread. They also offer half orders on their pasta dishes which I love because I hate wasting food. Overall, this place was wonderful and I'll definitely be stopping in again.

Yelp
Very good food!! Ambiance and vibe is also A+. First time going and will deff be back. Drinks were great, food was DELICIOUS! I'm a hard core bolognese gal and this was the second best I've ever had. The meatballs were very tasty. My wife had the pasta special which was braised pork ragu and she liked it but wish it had sauce. Complimentary bread was also very good which is usually hit or miss!! Loved it!

Yelp
Like the service and the food here. The ambience and service are awesome, good for catching up with friends or a date night. The indoor seats are quieter so easier to talk on the table. People who served us was pretty nice. They introduced all the dishes in detail, gave great recommendations, and answered our questions patiently. There are always hidden menu, the server explained the ingredients and flavor so that we could make good decision. We love the carrot salad the best--- it is so flavorful, together with fried kale and cheese on the top. We ordered it as an appetizer and immediately finished it. Tuscan Fried Chicken was great as well. The lemon and orange peel definitely added refreshing flavor to it. Very special and tasty. The mains were great, too. We had the lamb and a pasta.

Yelp
Only giving 3 stars today because I noticed the food on the happy hour menu has increased and some of the happy hour apps came cold. Tagliata please put the menu prices back to what they were!!!

Yelp
Tagliata is gorgeous inside. Very modern but not cold. Lots of warm woods and low lighting. It's a huge space and it was going strong at the time of our 8:45 reservation. Our server was excellent. Very knowledgeable and helped my sister, who is a sommelier, pick out a really nice bottle of wine for our dinner. He also made helpful dinner recommendations. To start, we had the chef's choice piccolo salumi platter and all the meats were delicious. We also added the La Tur cheese and it was creamy with the right amount of funk. The bread for the table was a delicious herbed focaccia. For our entrees we split the eggplant parm and the bolognese. The eggplant was ok. It was a little bland. The sauce wasn't very flavorful and the panko breading could've used a little salt. The bolognese was really, really good. For dessert I ordered the chocolate semifreddo. It was delicious but I didn't care for the mint gelato. It was like toothpaste. Overall, the meal was good and the service great but the kitchen was clearly overwhelmed because the food took a while to come out. Would be back.

Best Italian food restaurant I have been to in a while. Tagliata has an amazing ambiance upon entering and I appreciate that we didn't have to wait to be seated since we had a reservation. Also, they were very generous in giving us an Anniversary Card. Our server Jorge, was fantastic and attentive. He had great recommendations and ensured our food came out with a flow. We ordered cocktails and I have to say both tequila drinks were delicious. Cheers to the bartenders! We ordered 2 Starters, the Salmon bruschetta and the meatballs. Both were great starts. The salmon was fresh and the pickled onions were delightful. But the meatballs were awesome!! You could take the sausage and beef. The marinara was fresh and plentiful. The complimented the meatballs were but the meatballs could stand on their own. For entrees, we had the full bolognese and Strip Steak with the Potatoes. The bolognese was the best dish! It's creamy, flavorful, meaty, fresh, and so much more. The steak was cooked perfectly and was yummy as well. The potatoes with the aioli were smashing! We will be back definitely. It was nice the manager Julia came by to greet us and wish us a "Happy Anniversary". Lastly, they were so kind to give us a complimentary Tiramisu. It was divine! THIS PLACE IS A MUST!!!

Yelp
This is the best Italian restaurant I have tried in Baltimore. The food, service and ambiance were top quality. I had the full lobster ravioli for my appetizer and smoked duck for my main course. The ravioli was everything I expected and more. The ravioli were perfectly Al dente with a savory filling. The sauce was well balanced and the lobster on top was perfectly cooked. Succulent and juicy. I would absolutely order this again as it was my favorite dish of the night. A close second was the smoke duck with polenta, strawberry and rhubarb and asparagus. Simply put it was Devine. The duck was rendered nicely with a beautiful pink center (medium as I requested). The smokiness came through perfectly and the skin had great color. If I were to knit pick the fat on the Duck could have been rendered a tad more but still a stellar and beautiful dish! My friends had the NY strip dish and the short rib dish. They thoroughly enjoyed theirs as well. The service was exceptional. The waiter was well equipped and knowledgeable about the menu and was attentive to our requests. Thank you Chris! The ambiance was amazing. The weather was great and it was a perfect sittin for a chill, dimly lit dinner with heating lamps. I plan to go back to the restaurant to try more

Yelp
I frequent Tagliata a lot along with other Atlas Group restaurants. Tagliata is one of my favorites especially for the HH. Yesterday I got my usual Veal Bolognese, it was good. The Caesar salad not so much, my lettuce was not fresh I sent it back, however I still paid for it. I also had a mock-tail. It was really good. Not sure what was used. He asked me did I want something more on the sweet side or dry. It really didn't matter. The rewards program is A

Yelp
This place is in the downtown area of Baltimore. Inside they had a pianist and a singer who were playing they beat music. The service was very good. We sat outside in the picture below. They food was outstanding and cooked very well. The cowboy steak was cooked perfectly and tasty. The lobster ravioli was so succulent, I had the half portion. The red roasted potatoes were good as well. They even had fresh baked bread with butter, for the table. I dare you to try not to eat the bread and butter. Make sure you have a reservation.

Yelp
Disappointing experience. The $160 Porterhouse steak was definitely not with the money. After the bone, the total weight had to be less than the ribeye for twice the cost. The calamari was excellent, the Carbenara was very good but the portion size was ridiculous small. The Caesar salad was fair and very salty. The service was good. And the room we were in was very nice until the room above us started a party and then the nice ambiance was gone.

Yelp
wow. What a great experience on all fronts. Heard lots of great things about Tagliata, so the bar was high, but happy to report that they did not disappoint. The service was very good. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable about everything on the menu. Really had a pleasant experience with our wait staff. The food was amazing. We ordered a lot of food and everything was delicious. As far as pricing goes, there's a large variety of items on the menu where some dishes are in the $20 range (basic pasta/chicken dishes) and others can go as high as like $80 (high end steaks + seafood). There's a lot of a la carte items too, so things can add up very quick (e.g. sauces for the steak and cheese for the charcuterie board). They have a good selection of appetizers and ways to share food (half portions) if that's the vibe you want to have for your meal. From a beverage standpoint - the wine selection is also amazing and the cocktails are designed with careful thought. I stuck with a cocktail and it was well-balanced and tasty. That seemed to be the consensus across the table as well, so I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the drink menu. If I were to go back, I'd probably get the squid ink pasta (in my opinion, a must-have item on the menu), a couple of veggie sides, and maybe one of the chicken dishes. The steak, especially for what the price was, was honestly a bit underwhelming compared to the other items. The tiramisu to end the meal was also light and delicious. The ambiance is kind of fancy, but also laid-back somehow at the same time. There are people in fancy clothes, but there were also people there that were in super casual clothes. The decor itself is on the fancier side, so it's perfect for a romantic date night. It's pretty easily one of the best spots in the Baltimore area, so I'd totally recommend if you haven't been yet.

Yelp
Tagliata is one of my favorite spots in Baltimore. I'm always greeted with amazing staff when I come in and this visit was nothing different. I usually come in for happy hour, but this time I came in for a lunch date. I ordered the rigatoni a la vodka and the Polpette meatballs which were AMAZING!! The food was so fresh and yummy with No complaints at all. I will say their portion sizes are huge so you will definitely need a to-go box for your meal. I love the fact despite how busy this place gets, it's never too loud to the point you can't hear yourself or your date. I truly always enjoy coming to Tagliatia and can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Went for a friend's birthday, setting is good for birthdays, date night, family or group dining. Our waiter was friendly, was knowledgeable about the menu. The food however could've been way better. This is one of those restaurants where Those who love it here love it. those who don't, don't.

Yelp
Had Friday evening reservations and everything was great (food, service, parking)! Our GPS took us to the back of where we were supposed be, but it was easy enough to find the restaurant. When we arrived, there were not many people but the dining room quickly filled up. To start, we had the chef's choice Affetati Piccolo w/ La Tur (charcuterie) and for entrees we had Bolognese, Acquerello Rissoto, and a side of Crispy Brussel Sprouts. All of the food was very good but the bolognese and brussel sprouts were our favorites. The rolls w/ salted butter that they bring to the table was good also. I think our waitress was new and she was excellent! Dining in Baltimore is quickly becoming more enjoyable than dining in DC. Will be back!!

Yelp
Made it in for Happy Hour--now I know why people get there at 3:00PM when the kitchen is closed and wait the entire hour! Totally worth it! Best Happy Hour menu in the area with the highest quality food. The happy hour menu has $6 appetizers, $8 small tasting portions, $6 wines, $8 liquor with $3 up charge to make it into a cocktail. I woke up thinking of the rigatoni. I'm writing this hours later and I still want the rigatoni.

Yelp
My friend took me here while I was visiting, and she claimed that this was one of the best restaurants in Baltimore. This seemed like a tall order, but I went along with it since she kept raving about the squid ink pasta. Guests enter the restaurant through a peaceful courtyard, which leads into an airy indoor dining area. Upon being seated, our table was supplied with complimentary focaccia, whipped butter, and parmesan - which we appreciatively grazed on while deciding what to order. The menu includes a variety of pasta dishes and entrees which highlight the region's bounty of fresh seafood. I ended up following my friend's advice and ordering a half-order of the squid ink campanelle. We also decided to share an appetizer of calamari. The calamari was brought out first, and we happily dug into the spicy and briny dish. Unlike other ways I've seen calamari served (fried with lots of salt), Tagliata's calamari was braised in a spicy tomato sauce and tossed with couscous, capers, and pine nuts (chef's kiss). When our food was brought out, I was glad I ordered the half-portion of pasta, which was still plenty of food. The squid ink campanelle was stunning - generous chunks of crab meat were nestled in the perfectly al-dente pasta, which was dressed in a creamy and slightly tangy sauce. The pasta was sprinkled with toasted bread crumbs for a pleasant textural contrast. This was probably the best pasta I've eaten since my trip to Italy. Ambiance-wise, Tagliata is upscale yet cozy. My friend booked our reservation a few weeks out since it can be hard to get a table (we saw several bridal parties that day). While I haven't tried all of the upscale Italian restaurants in Baltimore, I imagine it will be difficult to top Tagliata.

Yelp
One of our favorite date night places! The food is never short of amazing, we love going right around the time when live music starts up every night, and the outdoor patio on a warm evening is absolutely serene and perfect. This is our go-to spot!
