"Tai Tsai" is a homophone of "Taiwanese cuisine" in Chinese. The owner missed his home island's classic braised pork rice so much that he opened his own shop. He cooks the signature rice dish in Taipei style, adding sugar in moderation, and with hand-diced pork belly slow-cooked in aromatics and soy for up to four hours. Top it with onsen tamago or soft-boiled egg. The pepper salt popcorn chicken and boba tea are also well made. Arrive early to beat the crowd." - Michelin Inspector

A good Taiwanese restaurant but not a great one. Not as good as Mu Taiwan or What To Eat. Their style is of course slightly different, serving up pork rib soups and focusing more on rice based bowls. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the ingredients and its popularity. 9/10 - The stand out dishes for me were the Egg Cake (cheese or sausage were awesome). It has been done with more of a pastry spin as opposed to an egg roll and it was surprisingly good. 8.5/10 - The cauliflower dish was really good as well, charred well and flavoursome. 8/10 - Fried Chicken, really good salting and crisping. 7.5/10- Taiwanese Sausage & Sticky Rice 7.5/10 - The rice with minced meat was moorish 7/10 - Rib & Noodles, the goji berry flavour was far too strong for my liking. 7/10 - Fish Balls

The place was not very crowded. I ordered a pork floss braised pork rice with hot spring egg and it came quickly. The food is quite tasty, but I wish the pearl milk tea was sweeter.

Great authentic Taiwanese food. The portions were huge for us 2 ladies. We ordered the spring onion minced meat rice, fried chicken which was amazing and also the spring onion wrapped egg and pork floss which was great. The drinks tasted amazing too. The staff were polite and service was quick.

Food is mediocre, everything lacked salt or it was too salty. The 薄餅 uses the wrong cheese inside and made it way too salty. Everything is done through a QR code so there’s no service, it’s not a big deal but you can see all them standing around on their phone. Price point is too high especially when you’re getting no service.

Heard of this Taiwanese restaurant some time ago, especially hv to queue most of the time ! Arrived 2:10pm, but still hv to wait more than 15min, saying for itself a good restaurant. Ordered the two well acclaimed sets with speciality drinks, see pic. Overall great food and tasty, the Chinese herb soup with pork ribs is qte special, my partner likes it v much. Mine is salty fried chicken, the best I had so far in different Taiwanese restaurants tried in HK. Saw other dishes nearby, looks v good too. Recommended.

This newly opened Taiwanese restaurant took half of the slot originally occupied by the Beans; an interesting painting was the first thing we saw on the wall depicting street food in Taiwan - it had this simple menu available for ordering using web app. The spicy minced pork rice with egg was quite decent with nicely pickled zha cai; the rice carried pleasant aroma and timing of boiled egg was well controlled. However, the sugar level of the bubble tea was a bit off track and went almost tasteless. The stone cold spoon was good looking but it felt a bit odd when the spoon clanked against my teeth.

hot hot summer, i queued for 35mins for this food. worth it. sweating my underwear full wet holy i dont like hk summer... although already cooled down a little after typhoon. quality is similar as 阿木台灣面, the one at mongkok very famuous. shop is small place only hv 20 seats i guess. quality is good. i like the fried chicken. the crispy fry power is thin. very good. chiken meat is tinder and juicy. very nice. love it. their set lunch is 78$ without +1 , if add special drink +15$ good enough tho. love it😍 their wine chicken soup is superb... much better than the 杯面,花鵰雞面 from 759 store 16.5$/1. worth to come back. nextime i will try thier medicine soup😚 ig:hkfoodpoet #food #hkfood #hongkongfood #hongkong #hongkongdessert #hongkongcrusine #omicron #食物 #香港 #香港美食 #劣食 #難食 # 狗也不#foodig #hkfoodpoet #閃電五連鞭 #台蔡
