"The classic West Hollywood hot dog spot was recently brought back to life, complete with a well-air-conditioned interior, two brightly colored patios, and the iconic hot dog-shaped stand out front. It’s a great place to set up shop on a Saturday afternoon when all your friends with toddlers can make appearances in between meltdowns. Everyone orders individually up front at the stand, and even if all of your invite list shows up, seating will never be an issue. For food, we recommend the classic “Chicago Pup” or their house burger with griddled cheese on top and as much canned wine and beer as you need." - brant cox

The legendary hot dog stand (that’s shaped like a giant hot dog, no less) has recently reopened on Santa Monica Blvd. with a full build-out that includes two separate patios and an interior that looks like a deluxe In-N-Out. "There are two hot dogs you need to see for yourself at this iconic Weho spot. The first is the kitschy revitalized hot dog stand, which warrants a family photo (it’s a historic landmark, after all). The second is the picture-perfect Chicago dog, heaped with a garden of toppings and a maple-smoked beef link from Snap-O-Razzo. "After closing nearly a decade ago, the legendary Tail o’ the Pup was restored in a prime West Hollywood location, complete with a hot dog-shaped stand, red and white streamers, and mustard yellow accents. The dogs range from the split and grilled 1946 (topped with grilled onions and house mustard) to chili-slathered to the footlong Baseball dog adorned with house mustard and sweet relish. Our favorite dogs on the menu include the loaded Chicago Pup and the spicy Jalapeno Pup, but don’t skip the Sassy Cheese, a fast food-style burger with a layer of crispy, griddled cheese inside. If you’re short of time, ordering is swift—you could easily be in and out in 20 minutes.
