I usually don't write these type of negative reviews(especially for "local" chinese/asian owned businesses) but this was beyond disrespectful. Was greatly disappointed by not only the customer service but also by the respect the employees and business owner had towards their customers. Disclaimer, our whole party spoke fluent Cantonese and Mandarin, there was no language barrier. The TL:DR, we had to wait 1 hour for our dishes to arrive, just for the employees to not even apologize once, and instead, business owners and employees were laughing to themselves while us and another table had to wait to get our food due to the negligence of the employees. Not to mention, the employees even gave us reheated food that was given and eaten from another table.
Came by on a weekday night, ordered, and were told that claypot rice dishes usually take 20 minutes, and we knew that was the normal time. About 30 minutes pass by, a claypot rice dish arrives at another table that was late. That table digs into the food and realizes it was the wrong order, it was originally supposed to be for my table. The employees come to reconfirm orders for both tables, mind you, THERE ARE ONLY TWO TABLES IN THE RESTAURANT. After reconfirming orders, we asked if we could change dishes, and they wouldn't let us. They said that the food was "almost ready". The claypot rice came out lukewarm and wasn't even sizzling hot after waiting "45 minutes" but the time difference between the food coming incorrectly for the other table and it reaching our table was only 10 minutes. About 1 full hour passes and our second claypot rice comes out, correct this time, and it is sizzling hot. That's how we realized, they just reused and then reheated the rice that the previous table dug and ate out of and gave it to us. We even confronted them and they kept saying that it was a new dish, but how did a "new" dish finish in 10 minutes, after it was made incorrectly when it usually takes 20.
Luckily the food tastes ALRIGHT, it's not as good as the Chinatown one, and the service is horrendous. No respect, no communication, only selfish business owners and employees who kept to themselves the whole time. The ONLY OTHER table had 4 missing items, and 2 incorrect orders. And my table had to wait an hour for our food to come out. Two tables, and they were able to disrespect ours and the only other customers in the building. Would not recommend coming, in the chance that an employee makes a mistake and then you get disrespected. Maybe I came in at a bad time, but the lack of communication, respect, and not even apologizing once is insane. No language barrier, no culture shock, this was pure disrespect by the business.
