This Thai restaurant never disappoints! From the first sip of their Thai iced tea to the last bite, everything was delicious. The chicken were perfectly crispy and juicy, and the Thai soup was warm, flavorful, and incredibly comforting. You can really taste the freshness and care in every dish. It’s the kind of place you keep thinking about after you leave. Definitely a go-to spot for good Thai food!

Came here with my best friend who was visiting from out of town. She works in the restaurant industry and said this is the best Thai food she has ever had. My daughter and I agree. It was amazing! Great atmosphere, great service…(thank you Racha!), and the food phenomenal! Will be back to try new menu items!

The food here is beyond good. Everything was delicious and prepared to perfection. The server Racha was super friendly ask for her when you are here. The server Faya super nice too. We have been here several times and every dish is better than the last one. 100% recommend

Talay Orlando completely exceeded my expectations! Every dish was beautifully presented and full of authentic Thai flavor, everything was cooked perfectly. The appetizers were delicious (especially the dumplings!) and the drinks were refreshing and creative. The space is elegant yet cozy, and the service was super kind and attentive. Definitely one of the best Thai dining experiences in Orlando!

Finally made it to Talay! Absolutely incredible fresh, flavored fish forward menu - right up my alley. Cocktails were beautiful and bright as well. The vibe of the restaurant is great with the high ceilings. They have a tucked away speak easy cocktail bar as well which we will pop into next time! Highly recommend if you like flavor & spice! Something on the menu for everyone.

I was thinking of boycotting because I loved City pub that used to be there lol, but this place was amazing, so glad I gave it a try! My friend got the Goong Ob Woon Sen and loved it, I got the Gai Satay, the chicken was a tad dry, but it just made the sauces taste so much better! We also got the Keaw Wan Roti appetizer which was phenomenal!! The ambience was perfect, good acoustics, you can actually hear the people you’re with! The service was perfect! So nice to have a wonderful Thai place in downtown Orlando!

I really enjoyed our meal. Food was delicious. They make great cocktails. The space is great and is in a nice location. Unfortunately the service is just cold and unfriendly. I hope the restaurant does well here because the chef and bartender are true professionals. We booked on open table for an anniversary meal and nothing was said or acknowledged. We drove from Davenport to dine here. This said, I would dine hear again in a heartbeat. I strongly recommend dining here if you like Thai. That said, front of house needs extensive training, or they need to hire wait staff that are friendly and capable of faking they care about guests.

Talay was all around a great experience. I had some friends in town visiting for the weekend so we decided to get some Thai food. The ambiance of the restaurant was very cozy and aesthetically pleasing. It had an ocean vibe and their menu was very extensive. Their drink menu included photos and it definitely helps in the process of choosing what to drink. I ordered the shrimp pad Thai with mild spice. It wasn't spicy at all, so I think next time I'll ask for medium to hot spice. My friends ordered the spring rolls as well as the oysters and the crab and pork Hoy Jor. The service was phenomenal and the food came out very quick. Our server was nice enough to split our check three ways, and consistently checked in on us to ensure the food was tasty and asked if we needed anything else. I will definitely be dining in here again soon to bring more friends here!

Stopped in on a Sunday evening. We sat at a table on their patio. Service was very friendly and quick. The fried rice dish was flavorful and had a delicious sauce to pour over the rice. They use real crabmeat and the pieces of crab big. They offer a happy hour for reduced drink prices.

From the moment I walked in, I felt like I could just live inside this restaurant. The ambience and décor are absolutely stunning. It's decorated so beautifully that you'd almost expect the food to fall short because it's rarely both, but not here. The food was every bit as amazing as the atmosphere. The service was fantastic. Our hostess and server were adorably sweet, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. The food came out faster than any meal I've ever ordered, and everything was spotless, organized, and inviting. Now for the food: the Penang scallops are to die for, the mango sticky rice was exceptionally well prepared, and the Thai tea with oat milk deserves a full-on chef's kiss. Even the water was delicious (not tap water), which was such a nice surprise. To top it off, parking nearby is free, and they accept Apple Pay, which made things super convenient since I'd accidentally left my wallet in the car. Talay Thai isn't just a restaurant. It's an experience. A rare place where every detail, from presentation to flavor to hospitality, hits the mark.

The inside decorations are cute and simple. It felt really spacious when you walk in and there's a nice waiting couch near the front door, along with a patio-like area. A downside is that the restaurant is in downtown so it can be hard to find parking. I got lucky with a street parking right outside during lunch time. About the food, I really enjoyed it! We ordered drinks first and they came out fairly quickly. I really enjoyed the roti. The curry sauce with it was slightly spicy and paired well with the roti. I also enjoyed the honey's passion! The flavors were nice and refreshing. The Goong Muk Karee was also super good! The shrimp size was great and it had a nice mouthful to it. There were a lot of other things on the menu that I would like to come back and try!

First things first: I love Thai food. It's in my top 3 most ordered cuisines on Uber Eats so I order it fairly often and am accustomed to eating it out of takeout containers in front of my TV lol. So to say that I was excited about an elevated dining experience with Thai food is an understatement! When you first walk into the restaurant, the beautiful design immediately grabs your attention, followed by the warm staff greeting. We decided to come with our good friends here for dinner and really enjoyed the overall experience! We all shared our dishes but my wife and I got roti, crispy spring rolls, shrimp + glass noodles, and the Pa Nang Curry scallops. All were delicious and I'd recommend them all but I do have to comment on the pricing. You are definitely paying a little more money for the ambiance and presentation. Like I said previously, I order Thai takeout A LOT and the food at Talay is honestly comparable to a lot of other Thai places in town but a little more money, and in some instances, like with the starters, the food portions are smaller than other Thai spots. This shrinkflation is happening all over the country right now and you'll probably notice that Talay is not exempt from this trend. I think if you know this going in, it'll help to temper your expectations. I think the best scenarios to go to Talay are for date night or a happy hour hangout with close friends. It's definitely worth a visit for a night out and I definitely enjoyed myself there. The food was delicious, the customer service was stellar and again, the ambiance is lovely. A solid 4.5/5 stars for me!

Delicious delicious delicious. The minute you Bite into any of their food it's delicious and you definitely will be thinking about them for next time. The drinks were definitely made with love and our bartender was very nice to just talk to us during the time that he was making the drinks to make us feel more comfortable and understand the menu. The worst part about this entire experience was probably the pad see ew, as my partner didn't like it so it was returned and she ended up getting something else. Outside of that everything else was an absolute knockout and I will be back for more.

I've been seeing this place all over TikTok and I had to try it! I love Thai food so I was really excited to go here. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful. The server was really nice and helpful explaining the menu. To start we got the raw salmon and spring rolls. We also got Roti and this was amazing. The spring rolls were good, but it almost felt like something was missing. I really enjoyed the salmon, but I will say that the raw garlic was overpowering at times. Me and my friend really enjoyed the drinks here. I liked my pad Thai, but I do prefer it a little bit more sweet. The plating of the food here was really nice. I would come back here to try some of their other menu items, they have a few interesting dishes I haven't tried before.

I'm right down the street from Talay and kicking myself for waiting so long to check it out. You have a pretty good idea it's a great spot as soon as you walk in. It's kind of an elevated coastal theme, decorated really well and with a very calm and chill vibe. Really cool wrap around bar, too. The food was awesome. The roti was delicious and I am not sure what the dip was that was served with it but it was excellent. I got the Hor Man Talay at the servers suggestion and it was perfect. Spicy but flavorful and they loaded it with seafood. I loved it. I will be back here for sure.

Talay is an elevated Thai place located in the North Quarter (north of downtown). Stopped by on a Friday evening for a 6:15pm seating and were able to easily find street parking a few feet from the restaurant. The decor is modern and the lighting is dim which makes for a great date night environment, even though we brought our 18 month old along; they do offer high chairs which is a plus for a place like this. The food is elevated Thai but the prices are super reasonable and comparable to typical Thai places, barely a bit higher. The roti and especially the sauce that accompanied it was outstanding. The sauce had a bit of a kick to it, I just wish the roti portion was slightly bigger. The rest of the portion sizes were larger than expected for a place of this caliber. The pad Thai portion was generous and the beef was tender, and a great value at $17. The goong prik kluea was mildly spicey and the shrimp were jumbo sized and well seasoned and went well over rice. The gai satay on its own could've had more flavor but the accompanying peanut sauce made it a still solid choice as an appetizer Overall the price for the value, friendly service, and vibey atmosphere is worth 5 stars. This place is a great date night and I hope it sticks around as a mainstay of the downtown food scene.

Talay is such a vibe. The space is very aesthetically pleasing -- modern but warm, with background music that perfectly fits the atmosphere. The cocktails are well-made and balanced, and the Thai dishes feel like an elevated, modern twist on traditional favorites. Everything comes together for a relaxing, stylish dining experience. Definitely a great spot for drinks and dinner.

My girl came to this place twice with her friends. And this time, she wanted to take me because she love the food here. The restaurant itself is beautiful, kinda cool; a bit dark for me, but doesn't bother me much. We ordered beef pad thai, raw shrimp in spicy sauce, sua rong hai (sliced steak) & hor mok talay (mixed seafood & red curry). Everything tasted delicious, the portions were good. For dessert, we ordered milo drink & cream brûlée egg custard pumpkin. I don't have much to say about these two. They look nice, but are bland. It's a waste to order these. However, we didn't like the way the waitresses served us. They were nonchalant, cold, almost rude and unwelcoming. One of the girls put my dessert down on the table quite forcefully and walked away without apology while the other didn't mind to double check with kitchen or manager when I asked her to do me a favor on one of my entrées. Even my girlfriend said, her waitress last time was more friendly than these two. The foods were so good, but the service was a thumb down. Hopefully, you guys are going to improve to make it perfect.

I was definitely warned about the oh my lychee cocktail numerous times by the server yet I neglected to follow her warnings and went with it anyways. She informed me that I cannot take it back once it has been made, this did scare me but I wanted to really try that lychee foam, which in fact was the best thing about the drink. Be warned - it tastes like Robitussin cough syrup and after I drink it the service stopped by and said cough syrup right away before I even said it to her, haha. I should have listened to the server that time but I chugged it down like I had a bad flu cough and held my nose like when I take a dose of the cough medicine, eww. I begged her to tell them to take that drink completely off the menu since it was so bad and she was warning so bad to not order it The pad see ew was yummy and had a lot of noodles that tasted pretty fresh underneath all the meat and was actually spicy as requested. The pa nang scallops was pretty tasty also, I think the scallops were just a tad bit overly salted but cooked very nicely with a good amount of scallops Pretty cool and coastal looking light wood interior for Talay which translates to sea/ocean in Thai. Saw the waves projected on the floor on the way to their speakeasy cocktail bar afterwards. Which is just past the bathrooms, in the hall by their entrance on the left when you walk in

Service was five stars. Food items we loved were really good, I'd say pad Thai was only thing that was average. The roti and the fried crab bites (Hot Jor) were delicious! The restaurant aesthetic is so beautiful! Great for a date or to meet a friend. Signature cocktails are on sweeter side so if you're not a fan of sweet, maybe order a standard drink because they have a full bar.

Excited to be able to get a table for 2 last minute on a Friday night, there was plenty of seating. The ambiance was a bit underwhelming. It was missing a bit of Thai flair in my opinion and felt like a very neutral space, nonetheless it was a beautiful restaurant. The food was excellent, we started with the picanha which was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The spring rolls were good - we enjoyed the sauce they were served with. The mussels were such a unique experience, probably the best mussels I've had in a long time - the lemongrass basil broth was so flavorful and delicious. The chicken curry skewers were also delicious. We were very happy with all of our choices! We will absolutely be back to enjoy some of the other signature items. It was so nice to end our night in the speakeasy. What an amazing touch!

My family and I came here for a few apps and drinks and we really enjoyed it! The space was beautiful and i loved how airy and light it felt. Our server was extremely sweet and quick. We ordered the wings and also the spring rolls. The wings were by far some of the best wings i've ordered someplace in a very long time and i recommend them to anyone coming here! The spring rolls were awesome as well, just wish they were a bit crisper as they seemed a bit softer in the middle of them. i want to come back and try the fried rice for sure!

One of the best Thai restaurants I've been to! The have a large menu that features both dishes you'd commonly find at a Thai restaurant, like pad thai, as well as dishes that are maybe less common but so so delicious! The staff were all incredible and readily made recommendations. The shripcakes, crab meat fried rice, and pork jowl were absolutely our favorites. They also have a great drink menu with a wide range of flavors. We got the dragon fruit and watermelon cocktails. Both were great! Also the interior is really modern ,open and welcoming, making it great for all kinds of outings. The restaurant also has a speakeasy bar attached which we didn't check out but looked equally incredible from the pictures I've seen. Definitely can't wait to come back and eat more!

Talay is one of the best Thai spots in town, where you can experience savory, bold, and authentic Thai dishes right in the heart of Orlando. The interiors had a coastal-meets-modern aesthetic that creates a chill, relaxed atmosphere. The design was a 10/10 in my book. My husband and I met up with a friend for an earlier dinner and we were the first ones there when they reopened at 4PM on a Saturday. It wasn't too busy, so we were able to grab a table right away. We started off with a couple of appetizers: the Keaw Wan Roti and Por Pia Tod(vegetable spring rolls). The roti came with a green curry dip that had just the right amount of spice, and the spring rolls were perfectly crispy without being greasy. Of course, I had to get a Thai iced tea. My husband tried the Nothin' but Coconut cocktail, and our friend ordered an Old Fashioned. The coconut cocktail was a bit strong, but the Thai iced tea had just the right amount of sweetness and was very refreshing. Our server was super friendly and attentive--making sure we always had enough water and checking in on us regularly. For our mains, we ordered Beef Pad Thai, Shrimp Pad Thai, and Gaeng Phed Ped Yang(roast duck with red curry). My husband and I shared the Shrimp Pad Thai and roast duck with red curry, and both dishes had balanced flavors that weren't overpowering. The spice level on the curry was just enough to give it a kick while still being enjoyable. For dessert, I have been craving Khao Neaw Ma Muang (mango sticky rice), and it did not disappoint! It had the perfect amount of sweetness and a refreshing finish that totally satisfied my mango craving. We're definitely looking forward to coming back, trying more dishes, and checking our their new speakeasy, Noir Bar.

I ordered the goong ma kam, shrimp with a tamarind sauce for delivery. It was delicious and the portion was good. The service was quick and it definitely left me wanting to go back and try other dishes. I did dine in another time and I was less than impressed. I took a very long time to get the food. The plating looked beautiful but the food was actually pretty bland, which is shocking for Thai food. I got a shrimp dish and the shrimp were big and plump and juicy , but they weren't seasoned at all. It came with a side of sauce but it just didn't work with the dish. Maybe they're more traditional items would taste better? But for the price, I was disappointed in the flavor. I will say the shrimp are nice and big and perfectly cooked. It would just be nice if there was actually a sauce cooked with the dish and not just on the side. I also ordered wings to go and it's basically just plain fried chicken wings, with some sweet-and-sour sauce that could've come out of a jar. I was not impressed. The description of the wings made it sound like they made their own spicy wings but this was not good.

Orlando-Beautiful aesthetic inside. The restaurant was very clean and inviting. My son is a pad Thai snob so of course that was one of our items! We decided to try the pad see ew as well as their pineapple fried rice. The lunch menu meant we got a small bowl of vegetable soup and an egg roll. The soup was delicious with a hint of spice and sweetness. Our pineapple fried rice with chicken was rich and very tasty. Kind of a Smokey flavor added in too. Pad Thai with chicken was delicious, although too sweet. I'm not a fan of overly sweet dishes and unfortunately the pad see ew was extremely sweet also. Not sure why every dish we had today had too much sweetness to it. I didn't realize Thai food was very sweet. I feel like I've eaten at a few other Thai places and not had this issue. The tiny eggrolls were mush on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Not edible, honestly. Even the Dragonfruit de la Rose drink was way too sweet. I didn't finish the drink. I did pour a little bit of water into it to try to tone it down. lol Overall, our waitress was a gem and very attentive, but the food was a little too sweet for my taste buds.

I ordered food to go and it was ready on time with an easy pickup at the door. I tried the pad see ew and the Thai tea-- everything was delicious and fulfilling.

We finally wanted to try this place out and it did not disappoint. We had made a reservation and came on a Wednesday night but it was pretty dead. We sat at the bar and our server was very nice and made some great recommendations. The interior was super cute and the food came out quickly. The food we got was medium spice and still has a strong kick. We got the roti, steak, sea bass, and chicken curry. The steak was cooked perfectly and the sea bass broth though light was super flavorful. The drinks were also incredible, I especially loved the mango sticky rice cocktail. We will definitely be back and hopefully next time we will be able to go to the speakeasy bar, Noir.

This restaurant is super cute! The aesthetics are very clean and modern vibes! It's wonderful to catch up with friends, go with family, or go on a lunch date with your colleagues. It's located right next to Reye's and it's very spacious. We ordered the pad Thai, spring rolls, soup and the sea bass. Everything was absolutely delicious and fresh! The flavor in the Seabass took the cake for me today! It was pretty spicy, though. They call it medium, but for me, it was a little more than that! I also had the mango sticky rice drink which was made with rum and delicious. It has a heavy foam on top with a mango purée, almost like a moose. I love the projection of the sea, as you are going to the restroom. The restaurant looked clean and the staff was nice as well. I believe it's going to do great at this location! Will be back soon with friends!

We really enjoyed our first experience at Talay! We went early on Sunday right when they open for dinner at 4pm and we were the only ones in there at that time. Now that we have a baby, we're early dinner people, haha. The new interior is absolutely stunning with lots of natural fluted wood and beige accents. There's a large central bar with table seating around the perimeter and an outdoor patio for dining as well. They were still waiting on their liquor license when we were there last, but they had some beautiful, tasty mocktails to choose from. I got the Honey's Passion and it was so good -- light and refreshing. I'm a sucker for anything with passionfruit in it. For appetizers we started with the keaw wan roti and the por pia pod (veggie spring rolls). We were dining with friends who are mostly vegetarian, so we wanted to get things that were veg friendly for the table. Both dishes were tasty and the green curry sauce that comes with the roti is amazing. I just wish they gave you a few more pieces of roti to soak up all that sauce. The triangles were very thin and small. This was my only gripe through the whole meal. From there, my husband & I decided to share a couple main dishes including the sua rong hai (picanha steak) and the pa nang scallops (medium spicy) which is served with white rice. Both were excellent! The pa nang curry sauce was fabulous with just the right amount of spice and the scallops were cooked perfectly. The steak was also cooked perfectly, medium rare as requested and they give you a very generous portions which is great for sharing. We actually really liked dipping the picanha in the remaining green curry sauce from the roti! Our friends enjoyed the pad see ew and goong ob sen (shrimp with glass noodles). The shrimp were huge and this dish could also easily be shared. I will say that it's a bit more of an upscale Thai restaurant which is reflected in the price, but it was worth it for the quality and nice ambiance. I look forward to returning to try more of their raw seafood dishes and the new speakeasy bar connected to Talay.

This restaurant is very easy to find downtown and there is street parking available. We were able to get a parking space directly in front of the restaurant when we came for the lunch special. The lunch menu is small and specific to a hand printed menu, but the price is good. I found the restaurant to be very nice inside, clean, chicken and large. They also had a very nice covered outdoors space. We came in for something quick and started with coffee and a cocktail that was made from coconut water and cream. Both the coffee and cocktail were 5/5. Their cocktail menu is actually pretty nice. They have a lot of intricate and enticing options and the menu is very colorful and plastic unlike the paper menus for dining. Unfortunately, I was advised nothing is gluten-free on the menu except the Pad Thai and rhe Curry. While those are good options and I like both they were a bit heavy for lunch and I wanted a simple veggie and rice type dish. I was quite dissapointed that at a place like that they offered none that were gluten-free because it's so simple and easy to have a sautéed vegetable and rice dish. I just ordered steamed veggies and a side of rice and steamed shrimp. It came out rather sad just like that. No seasoning, no love put into it and it wasn't even on the same plate it was just in three little bowls. I was hoping they might add a little garlic to the vegetables, but no. It was just bland bland bland! I was very dissapointed. My husband ordered the papaya salad with shrimp which he loved. Ultimately, we wouldn't return here because they have so few gluten-free options. I can go anywhere for Curry or Pad Thai near home.

This beautiful Thai restaurant is very clean and has excellent service. I tried their Tom Yum Nam Kan soup with chicken. It was served hot and tasted good. I also tried their Sua Rong Hai which had an amazing flavor. There is an entrance to a speakeasy by the bathrooms.

Came here for a ladies night dinner and my first impression is the restaurant is beautiful. The servers were very attentive and helpful with the menu. I tried the roti and the green curry. The roti was good but the serving size was a bit small. The green curry was flavorful and a good portion size. Many of the ladies tried the fried rice and were happy with their orders. The parking for this location was a breeze and there's a beautiful little speakeasy next door if you want a little drink after dinner.

5 Stars for truly delightful seafood-forward Thai food with all the aesthetics and plenty of spice! Ok, so to start please know that this spot is cute. Like, she's real cute. Get your camera phone ready because you're going to want to take photos of the restaurant, you inside the restaurant, and the beautifully plated dishes. The server came up and explained that Talay means sea in Thai and they're specialty is seafood. The menu featured the classics (which you can make vegetarian by choosing tofu or veggies instead of meat or seafood), but it also has some really special dishes that I hadn't seen before. Here were my faves: - Por Pia Tod: Crispy vegetable spring rolls, sweet Thai chili sauce. This dish came with 4 spring rolls and we enjoyed the sauce (which was mild). - Goong Lui Suan: Thai-style shrimp summer rolls, Thai basil, lettuce, julienne carrots, bean sprouts, cilantro, creamy chili-lime sauce. WOW- The herbs really shone here. The chili-lime sauce was pretttty spicy, so I opted to eat it without a sauce. If you prefer things mild, I would ask for this dish with peanut sauce. - Keaw Wan Roti: Pan-fried roti bread, green curry dipping sauce. This sauce was the star of the show. It had us all wanting to dip everything we got in it! (Spicy) - Gai Satay: Thai chicken skewers, curry powder, cucumber salad, peanut sauce. This chicken satay was light years above any satay I've had in Orlando. It was perfectly grilled and the peanut sauce was clearly homemade. A big winner. - Salmon Chae Nam Pla (Raw section): Sliced salmon, salmon roe, mint, cilantro chili-lime dressing. This was delicious, but WOO-EEE, it was spicy. Definitely spicier than a medium, if that's your limit. Loved the mint with the fish and dressing. - Pa Nang Scallops: Seared scallops in Pa Nang curry, kaffir lime, Thai chili, coconut milk. This was a STAR. It's again, more hot than medium in spice level, but the scallops were big and succulent and I could've bathed in the curry sauce. - Pad See Ew: Flat rice noodles, egg, Chinese broccoli, Talay's signature wok sauce. My husband got this with tofu and it was delicious. You could pick the spice level on the Classic section of the menu, but know that medium is much spicier than the mediums you get at other local Thai restaurants. I would err on the safe side with regards to your spice tolerance. Note: The bathrooms are special... I don't want to give away why, but just know that it's a cool experience walking up to them. Finally, they didn't have a liquor license yet when we dined there, so we stuck with sparkling water. If you are open to N/A, they had some great-looking mocktails.

Came here a few days after they opened for a quick lunch. They had a nice lunch menu and I opted for the plain pad rhai with no protein. It was really delicious and there was a really nice amount. The soup and mini egg roll that came with the pad thai were also delicious. The onlt thing is that the spice level was not as spicy as I would think a true Thai restaurant would be. I love spicy food but could tell they definitely tone it down for the crowd. They had other things on the menu that looked delicious that I would go back to try. They are definitely on the pricier side when it comes to Thai food. The location is great and you can parallel park in front on Orange if you can find a space, if not, just make your way around one block over to Magnolia and parallel park there; there are always so many spots there. Just park and take the 5 minute walk over. The inside is gorgeous and they did a beautiful job building it out. Gives me a kind of moderner minimal middle eastern design.

Good upscale ambiance for unique Thai dishes. My wife very much enjoyed her pineapple fried rice with tofu (so much tofu!). And my red curry was very flavorful.

My immediate impression is the space. Nice calm Vibe Ultra modern industrial with wood accents. You can hear your conversation. GreatConversation space. Noise level is nice Service- Friendly and will accommodate diet preferences if able. Food is very tasty and seasoned well.

THIS PLACE IS SO BOMB. I work right by Talay, and stop by for lunch a lot of times. Their Pad Thai is good and tasty. The noodles is the right texture between soft and chewy. The rotti they have is also amazing. The sauce they serve is sooo good, I sometimes save it to use with my meal. Definitely worth the money!

What an amazing experience! Came here with my husband and the moment we walked in, the service was phenomenal. It's a new Thai restaurant located in the North Orange area of Orlando. We ordered the Tom Kha seafood soup, roti and fresh cocktails. BIG thank you to Faya, who took care of us.

Went Saturday night at 6; it's their soft opening, so I expected some hiccups. There were none; it was perfect. The service was great! Very helpful in alerting one member of our party to foods that would have shellfish so she could avoid them (allergy). Food came out of the kitchen as it was finished being plated, so it was at the perfect temperature. The food was really delicious. I wanted to try a bunch of things, and I did. There's no liquor or beer/wine license yet, so I had a mocktail, a diet coke and a thai tea for drinks (the mocktail was as delicious as it was beautiful). For food, I ordered the crispy vegetable spring rolls (Por Pia Tod), the sweet corn salad (Tum Khao Pode), the house picanha (Sua Rong Hai), the fried snapper filet (Pla Tod Yum Ma Muang), and the chewy taro balls (Bua Loy Ma Praw On). The snapper with the mango, cashews, red onion, radish and lime dressing was my favorite dish. It's really spacious with an ample bar area. It's easy to have a conversation there because it's not too loud. The porch area looks absolutely lovely, and will be so nice in warmer weather. And I don't care if you have to go to the bathroom or not, you gotta go look at the floor. I will absolutely be back. Soon. Make your way there before the constant crowds come along.

I tried Talay Restaurant today. I think it is the best Thai restaurant in Orlando right now!Plus, where else are you going to get scallop panang curry, thai picanha steak, or oysters with that delicious green sauce?! The restaurant itself is beautiful. They did a great job with the interior design/decor. Service was wonderful. Below I give my impression of all the dishes I tried so far. * Pa Nang Scallops (Seared scallops in Pa Nang curry, kaffir lime, Thai chili, coconut milk): Get it! You can't go wrong. The curry is so flavorful. It was a hit among my lunch party. * Keaw Wan Roti (Pan-fried roti bread, green curry dipping sauce): You have to get this at least once. The green curry dipping sauce is packed with flavor. I actually wish the regular green curry dish was more like this dipping sauce. This is thicker and has a stronger flavor. * Sua Rong Hai (House-marinated picanha, roasted chili relish): the sauce/relish is what makes this so good. Pairs very well with the steak. * Kor Moo Yang (House-marinated pork jowl, roasted chili relish): same sauce that comes with the Sua Rong Hai but the pork isn't as good as the picanha. * Oysters (Blue Point oysters, Talay's mignonette, golden crisp shallots, lemon): the spicy green sauce that comes with these oysters is SO good. * Pad Kee Mow (Flat rice noodles, bell peppers, Thai basil, chili, Talay's spicy wok sauce): good flavor and texture! I recommend it. * Tum Khao Pode (Sweet corn salad, Thai chili, garlic, tomato, peanut, lime dressing): I love corn so I had to try this. It's refreshing and I liked it but I think other dishes are probably more worthwhile. * Keaw Wan Gai (White meat chicken in green curry, bamboo shoots, bell peppers, Thai basil, coconut milk): this is not as good as the panang curry because it had a more subtle flavor. I prefer the green curry from Sea Thai. Also, I was disappointed that they use that processed chicken like most Thai restaurants do. They won't even give you the option to substitute it for a different protein. I would think this kind of higher end restaurant would have better quality chicken in their dishes. * Jasmine rice: I just have to note that they give you one bowl of with the curry but it obviously requires more rice. They charge you 4 dollars for each small bowl of rice. This may not be unusual for restaurants but I find it a little ridiculous how restaurants give you way too little rice and then want to nickel and dime you. Rice is not that expensive.

A great place with great and good food. A friendly-nice ambience makes this place a cozy and comfortable. The cocktails are simple and original creations that combine mango, guava, coco, pineapple and dragon fruit .. Good job. Good curry, overall a good experience. A place to visit several time to explore other plates..

Beautifully decorated and SO aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. Perfect place to go on a date or fancy dinner with friends or family. We opt to sit outside. Of all the things we ordered. Pad kee mow was a bit salty according to my friend because she ordered it. I got pad Thai and it was up to par. Not THE BEST I've had but it's pretty good. My favorite was the raw spicy shrimp. Service was good! She was polite and attentive. Overall, a good experience

Thai is my favorite cuisine. I was excited to experience Talay during its soft opening. Nam was our tour guide and she was wonderful in getting us to try new things. Talay gives a slightly different experience in some of their dishes. For example, the typical summer rolls look the same and come with a sweet peanut sauce. Not at Talay. Their summer rolls called Goong Lui Suan look like works of art and come with a spicy citrus cilantro sauce and it worked! I had to try the Pad Thai even though there were other dishes that sounded amazing. My test for a good that restaurant is whether they can make amazing pad Thai and pad see ew. Thankfully my son ordered the see ew so I could try both. AMAZING! Now it will be hard to try something different, but I am determined to try one of their hot pots. In addition they have Yum Woon Sen Talay which perks my curiosity because there is only one place that makes yum woon sen (off menu) that calls my name weekly at Siam Garden in Winter Park. Talay's version sounds similar yet very different. I will put it on my to try list. I highly recommend Talay. The atmosphere is upscale. They were still waiting for their liquor license so I expect they have plans for some unique cocktails. The bathrooms are an experience with the ebb and flow of the ocean seeping in from under the walls. Talay is an upscale Thai experience that you will want discover.

This new elevated Thai restaurant @talayorlando sent us all the NOODS!!! The coastal inspired vibe is dim lit with an even more intimate surprise behind a hidden door. You will find the new speakeasy @noirbarorlando which just grand opened last month Our friendly server recommended I try the Dragon fruit de la Rose which is so refreshing and light without being overly sweet. It reminds me of a sophisticated mimosa and this would be the perfect cocktail for brunch as well I tried my girl friends' cocktail which was Oh My Lychee and the lychee foam is so impressively creamy. Must try! I am also coming back for that mango sticky rice cocktail because I bet the mango mousse will taste delectable.. The Vegetable spring rolls were the perfect crunchy fried starters with spicy sweet thai chilli sauce. Now for the NOODS...we ordered the Pad See Ew to share, my favorite Thai noodle dish ever. The flat rice noodles were the best tossed in the signature Talay sauce with medium spice and tofu requested. Safe to say we ate the whole thing! My girl friend got the pad Thai served with thin rice noodles and an interesting twist with the tamarind sauce. I love how many options are given for vegetarians and vegans here...it's truly impressive and my vegan girl friend had no problem finding options. You are able to have tofu as your protein in most any of these noodle and rice dishes Not to mention that most of their noodles are gluten free, my personal preference. I chose the Goong Mae Nam aka grilled jumbo river prawn and I love the way they present this dish! The tower with the prawn underneath and the sauce on top felt so fancy to eat. The meat melted in your mouth and the homemade spicy dipping sauces were so unique and fresh. The entire restaurant + restrooms are ground floor and handicap accessible. My girl friends and I truly enjoyed the welcoming and quiet vibe here as we caught up and shared dinner together. The entire restaurant and bathrooms are ground floor and handicap accessible. Located in the North Quarter of downtown this place is grown and sophisticated. I came after work right as they opened and was able to enjoy some appetizers and a drink. I'm excited about returning for a meal soon. The atmosphere is Mediterranean and took me outside of the congested outside of Downtown Orlando. The servers greeted me as soon as I entered and even offered suggestions. This was a stop on my way to Noir- the speak easy located inside of this establishment, but I plan on frequenting Talay. First impressions are everything and they did a great job!

The restaurant's website claims "urban sophistication meets Thai coastal allure" and it delivers. The sophistication shows in the stylish décor and the artful presentation of each dish. Salmon curry isn't traditionally common in Thailand (salmon isn't native to Thai waters), and it was the first time I saw it on a menu. So I had to try their red curry salmon, Gaeng Dang Salmon. The perfectly grilled salmon was bathed in a rich red curry, with tender bamboo shoots, bell peppers, Thai basil, and creamy coconut milk. It was lovely! The jasmine rice was slightly too sticky for my taste, with grains that were smaller than I prefer, but overall the dish deserves 5 stars. I am, however, awarding Talay 4 stars due to slightly inattentive service. While the server was respectful and friendly, she disappeared twice, and we had to call her to the table the two times because she wasn't checking on us at all. Maybe we got unlucky and I will definitely come back to try their "Thai" picanha and Sea Bass.

This place is a hidden gem thus far. It's located in downtown but not much parking around the restaurant so this may be the deterrent for people to come here. But the food is amazing and definitely worth the drive and trouble to search for a parking space. The service is good depending on which server you get. Usually they are very accommodating and hospitable and will adjust any dish as required. And quite honestly, one doesn't have to adjust much of anything as each and everything we tried was simply delicious. The ambiance is clean, cute, modern, and quiet. You can have a business dinner, romantic dinner or family dinner comfortably.

My husband and I went last weekend and had a great time. The atmosphere was really nice, and the food was delicious! We tried the half dozen oysters, grilled picanha (Sua Rong Hai), and the creamy calamari and shrimp stir fry (Goong Muk Karee). Each dish had such fresh and vibrant flavors. Definitely looking forward to coming back!

The food was delicious, the service was great, and the cocktails were so well made. I highly recommend tot and can't wait to go back! Make sure to ask the staff for recommendations. They are great with helping you find what you're craving. On top of it all, the restaurant is beautiful and well designed. You can go there for vibes alone and still be satisfied.

Great aesthetic, open and airy interior. I didn't realize how seafood could really take Thai food to another level. The food was INCREDIBLE. Hands down you must get the Oysters to share then the Panang Scallops for yourself. Everything is so fresh and even though I'm not huge on spice make sure to indulge in all the sauces! The mocktails were delicious, can't wait to see what they do with a real drink list!

Heyyyyyyy you guyyyyyssssss! The aesthetic is insane here, they have neutral vibes so the focus is on the good eats! We sat at the bar. Emmy was our bartender and mixologist extraordinaire. What an experience the flavors were a dance party in our mouth and that was the cocktails. We snagged a few appetizers that were fresh, flavorful and super delicious. What a great addition to this side of town. Perfect for date night, hanging with the girls, they have outdoor seating as well. And a speak easy which was so cute and fun! Happy hour coming soon as well. Hurry in guys this place is amazing!

Outstanding food quality. Really beautiful and comfortable interior. Attentive service. Creative menu. Not very crowded for lunch and they have a reasonable lunch menu.
