Talea Bryant Park - Review - Midtown - New York - The Infatuation

"“Can we grab a drink near Grand Central?” is a question that can send a shiver down even the most seasoned New Yorker’s spine. Instead of defaulting to a sad, dark Irish pub, head to the Bryant Park outpost of Talea, the Williamsburg-based, women-owned brewery. We usually go for the $24 flight, which lets you try a couple of fruity sours, hazy IPAs, and light beers. But there’s also a long list of cocktails and wines for anyone who’s anti-hops, as well as a reliable bavarian pretzel with housemade beer cheese that’ll help soak up those drinks before your friend gets on a Metro-North train without a working bathroom. Between the well-made beer, high ceilings, and natural light, you’ll forgive Monica for asking to meet in Midtown." - Ciera Velarde

NYC’s New Restaurant Openings - New York - The Infatuation

"We’re ready to call Talea the Napoleon of New York’s growing beer scene. This women-owned brewery started with Williamsburg and Cobble Hill taprooms, and since October have opened two more in Manhattan—the first in the West Village, and now, in Bryant Park. You can get beer (duh), coffee, and snacks in a watermelon-colored bar." - Will Hartman, Willa Moore

The bartenders were very welcoming and nice! The drinks were a nice treat after work, especially when you’re unwinding with your friends and coworkers. I would say after 6 PM, the vibes do pick up but so do the music so if you want a nice quiet place for the evening, this might not be the place. The pretzels were AMAZING, the snack ones and the soft pretzel.

Fantastic brewery just steps from Bryant Park. The food was delicious and thoughtfully paired with the drinks. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed—perfect for unwinding without missing the city’s energy.

Checked out this location with coworkers for a drink after work since it’s close to the office. This location is on the smaller side compared to the other locations in the city. We were able to grab a table at 5pm for 6 people. The staffs could be a little bit more friendly and smile more. One of the older female staff rudely said to us that the path had to be clear of any chairs and all we were trying to do was exactly that; she could’ve asked nicely instead. Some of us ordered the beer flights and some the individual glasses (they do have cocktails if beer isn’t your thing). We also shared the Bavarian pretzel and added the beer cheese (which is not worth the additional $4 btw).

ABSOLUTELY. LOVE. THIS. PLACE. It’s such a vibe and the beers are on point! We got the Al Dente Italian Pils & got a pickle back shot too! Bill is a great bartender who’s been in the scene for a minute! Definitely check this place out and get you some great beer. You can buy beer to go too!

Extremely impressed by this place. My fiancé and I love going to breweries all over (this location isn’t a brewery) the selections for sours which are my go to favs were extremely well made and easy to sip. The flavors weren’t too strong and I think if more women want to get into beer they need to check this place out! It’s a great starter for everyone. This place was in fact recommended to us by a friend who’s had beers in Germany and if this place is good enough for them it’s good enough for anyone. They offer canned beer for you to take with you as well. Only downside is we aren’t locals :( wish this place was closer to us. (Come to NJ Please)

Place was decorated so nicely for the holidays. Had the sweater weather flight of beers and all were unique and great in their own way. Staff was so incredibly nice and attentive. I came on a crowded night and had been waiting for a table to open up. When one finally did another customer jumped in and took it from me. Two of the bartenders noticed this and went above and beyond to make sure I was still having a great experience. I will happily come back here in the future.

Talea is a local craft beer. We stopped at the taproom and enjoyed a beer flight and a glass of their Talea wine. The drinks were great. The appetizer was amazing. Thick chewy bread with whipped ricotta, pesto, tomatoes, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. We also ordered a small bowl of olives, which was a lovely enhancement to the appetizer and drinks. If you are in the area, you must stop by this taproom.

Such a nice surprise to see Talea open a new taproom close to our hotel. The bar looks amazing and the lady working the bar was wonderful. We had a taster flight and then some brilliant slushie beers. All of the beers were top class and I'd recommend a visit for any craft beer fan.
