Talkin' Tacos Washington DC

After an incredible drag show at DC Improv, my girlfriend and I were craving a quick bite and stumbled upon Talkin’ Tacos — and what a great find! The moment we walked in, I was impressed by how bright, fresh, and beautifully designed the space was. The setup is super convenient too — two self-order kiosks right at the entrance let you easily place your order for dine-in or takeout, complete with pictures of every item so you know exactly what you’re getting. The entire experience was fantastic — from the friendly service to the modern vibe — and the food did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was flavorful and satisfying, and the horchata was absolutely amazing. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Absolutely amazing! The Street Corn was Phenomenal. Chicken Tacos were juicy and seasoned to perfection. Customer Service was spectacular. Jimmy was very attentive and very helpful! Definitely coming back here until I can’t get enough.

I was finally able to try this place downtown. Many of the dishes were very unique, like the birria Mac and cheese. I appreciated all the halal options and authentic Mexican cuisine. Still, it was a little on the expensive side compared to other Mexican restaurants in the DMV that serve similar dishes. My friend also mentioned that it would've been even better if they had al pastor, lengua, chorizo, etc. However, it was overall super delicious.

I was visiting from Richmond, Va and stopped to try the birria tacos. You order from a kiosk and staff advised to let them know if I had any questions. The birria tacos were really good and I loved how they cooked the shell it had a nice crispiness. Jimmy was awesome!!! He has so polite, helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this spot for tacos

Visiting DC and googled “best tacos in DC”…. Walk-in Tacos did not disappoint!!!! My cousin and I ordered a few things to try : the birria tacos, birria grilled cheese, and birria Mac n cheese! The birria tacos are simple but delicious! The grilled cheese was perfectly crispy and the smoky tomato soup on the side set it above any other grilled cheese we’ve tried! The Birria Mac is creamy and salty and everything needed to warm the soul! Service was quick - each item came out separately but nothing took too long! 10/10.

Loved this place! I was greeted as soon as I came in, and because it was my first time here Jimmy explained everything to me, gave me recommendations, and followed up after I received my food to ensure everything was up to expectations. The service was some of the best I received and I really enjoyed the food too. There’s a trio taco plate that was recommended to me by Jimmy that allowed me to try three different tacos which was perfect. Thank you to Jimmy and all the staff here for a great experience :)

My husband and I (from NC) were looking for something quick before going on a tour. Wow! No words can explain the experience we had here. We came around 11:30 and the kiosk was easy to understand, food was quick, and Olga! Olga was wonderful, very attentive, active with the workers and customers. She was eager to know how we were doing and who we were. We were treated like royalty and at home. I have never felt like at home until coming here. We WILL be coming back before we go back home.

I loved the food! Ordering was super quick, and the girl at the counter was so nice. Melissa brought out my food, and when I asked for extra sauce (since I love sauce!), she happily brought it over. The service was exceptional, and the place was very clean. Highly recommend!
