Talking Cedar

We recently visited Talking Cedar with a large group, and while we experienced a long wait time of over an hour for a table, the delay was softened by the fantastic local drinks we sampled while waiting. The server was both knowledgeable and friendly, adding a positive touch to our experience. Although the dinner service could have been improved, the food itself was a highlight. Our steaks, salmon, and vegetables were all delicious, and the atmosphere was inviting. Despite the wait and some service hiccups, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be returning for another visit!

Staying next door at the Marriott & stopped in for dinner. Ordered the Talking Ceder Caesar salad ($16), the Crab & Artichoke dip ($20) & for dessert the Caramel Apple Bread Pudding. ($10) Total after tax $50.09 + $4 tip on CC & $6 cash. Upon returning to my hotel room, I started with the crab artichoke dip, the container was less than half way full. The dip ate/stringed more like a queso cheese dip than a cream cheese dip (see video) way more cheese than desirable, no crab to taste & only a few artichoke pieces. See pictures & video included. Bread pudding was nothing notable. Strange caramel sauce & small portion for the price. Sad to say the salad was the best thing ordered. I would have better enjoyed the fast food offered in the area & saved over 50% of my hard earned coin.

I’ve seen ratings from 1 to 5. This was our first visit. We had phenomenal company and a good server. It was recommended to stay away from the pastas and go with their top sellers. 2 orders of fish and chips (my husband rated his a 3-4), a salad, and chicken dinner. The gravy on the chicken looked like it had been sitting around for a while but it tasted decent. I brought home one of the pieces of chicken. Angel food cake with mocha buttercream frosting sounded decadent. It was not. First of all, it was not angel food cake. It was ice box yellow cake, with okay icing that had no mocha flavor. $85+ later for 2 average meals, water, and a marginal dessert. I’m not returning.

I've driven by many times and I made a special trip to come to Talking Cedar today. I'm glad I did. The place has a relaxed vibe but it's well run. The service was good. Our server offered several spot on suggestions before we ordered. We came for lunch so I had the large dinner salad and a side of deep fried pickle chips. The quality of both has me planning on coming back for dinner sometime. The real star of the show is the beer. I had a flight and they were all very good. I bought a six pack on my way out. The prices for everything was reasonable. This is definitely a place to check out!

We were staying at Great Wolf Lodge but wanted a good dinner and this place hit the spot. Their beers and bourbon are fantastic, the bacon jalapeños were great and the ribeye was good. My only complaint was the sweet sauce on the ribeye, not my favorite but still good. Family of five had a great meal with drinks for $146 (before tip).

Came in at 5pm... was told at least 20 min wait because the kitchen wasn't able to keep up with the crowd upstairs... this tells me management didn't prepare for the event and have overloaded their team. So crew is running like crazy and customers are short-sheeted. This is the picture of the bar we're we couldn't sit because it was too busy. Our server Jenny was great, my prime rib dip was ice cold and she had it refired right away and was continually checking in and the lady who we paid our bill with was wonderful.... but the front desk people were unpleasant. I reiterate.. tonight's downfall falls management and their poor planning.

This restaurant’s food was not the best. Their dishes (knives, forks, and cups) had a weird white film and a dirty appearance when brought out to us. The burger was tiny—not even a full patty. It had holes in it and was less than a 1/4 of a regular patty. The server seemed overworked and didn’t know much about the menu, allergies, or which items contained allergens. It took a long time to place our order and even longer to receive our food. The atmosphere was aesthetic, and you could see the distillery, which was very cool. Food: 1 star Service: 2 stars Atmosphere: 3 stars -Not the best place for meals, but it seems like a nice spot for drinks.

Chicken skewers were very good fried onion rings deep fried pickles fish and chips the lobster crab stuffed crab cakes My second time eating here and I'm always impressed Love the food and the environment

Super tasty food! We got the mushroom dip and it was 100% worth getting! My husband and I split it and they brought it on 2 plates for us! The au jus was some of the best we've had! The beers were tasty too--juicy ipa and raspberry blonde! The bartender was great and overall good vibes!!

We stopped by to have some Stillwater beer at their new home here at Talking Cedar. This place is HUGE! They have a bunch of beer on tap from both breweries, as well as cans in their cooler to take home. They also share this space with a distillery. So if you prefer cocktails, they've got you covered.

My wife and I went with her sister and husband. 2 salads. Prime rib and Reuben sandwich and burger were ordered. Sides of wings and onion rings. Food came on time. Food was cooked good and was very good. Wings are spicy. This place is very busy on a Sat. If you come after 6pm you will be waiting.

Got hungry for a burger during a road trip to Portland. I would not recommend driving out of your way for a blank and blue burger here. The meat was on the dry side and the fries were too salty. But the staff was friendly especially the worker who gave us a free tasting of Heritage Gin, Vodka, and Whiskey at the counter. The Elk Gin was my favorite due to its juniper forward flavor. We also enjoyed the beautiful building with outside seating.

I guess I came for lunch on the day that all the good chefs were out because I ordered a chicken burger fried, it was 2 frozen chicken strips and it was almost burnt. I couldnt eat it and then the rest of the food was dry and horrific. The service was OK, when the girl servers weren't laughing and talking in the corner. I had to interrupt them for my bill and to go boxes. I don't know what's been going on there, since I last came there. I've been there many many times since it opened and it was just not the same.

What an experience! A wide variety of food choices a the portions are large.The drink menu has a variety of the distilled spirits incorporated and plenty of beers. Something for everyone!

We had an absolutely awful experience at this restaurant. Incredibly rude staff. From the hostess to the manager on duty - she clearly shouldn't be in this industry. We will never return. This is the first negative review I've ever left for a restaurant- it was that bad.

Talking Cedar, Grand Mound, WA. - Traveling north on I-5, we stopped for the night at the adjacent Fairfield by Marriott hotel, and walked over to the Talking Cedar, which includes a restaurant, brewery and distillery. Great facility, roomy, clean, with indoor and outdoor dining and a modern design, with an industrial twist. Very appealing. We sat outside, service was fast, friendly and efficient (Thank You, Lacey L, great Job!), and our food was very good. I had a Juicy Lucy burger, substituting the Soup-of-the-Day, Beef Stew, for fries ($22). The soup was excellent, and the burger was very good. The table had the Cuban Sandwich, substituting a Caesar Salad for fries ($18.50). We we very happy, and would return without a moment's hesitation. Four Stars. FYI, Talking Cedar is also a brewery and distillery, and we were offered several free tastings during our visit. We didn't indulge today, but will be returning in ten days, and fully intend to take advantage of Talking Cedar's hospitality at that time.

Our go to drink & appetizer spot! Killer drinks, incredible appetizers, and amazing meals. This place hits all the marks. Service is friendly and usually always pretty quick. The setting is fun & more laidback, you can even look at some of the brewing machines. Our favorite appetizers are the fried pickles & the cheese curds, we like to eat them together as a bite with ranch. For entrees, I usually go with the French dip where as my husband likes to order all different items. Conveniently located right next to the freeway and also next to a hotel if you're not up for driving after. Overall, a great restaurant experience and we can't wait to return.

My daughter and I went there for lunch last Saturday. I've been there numerous times before. Overall the food is decent, but the service has gone down hill. We went for the advertised monthly special and were told when we went to order that all the specials are only available after 4pm. This would be nice for guests to know when they post the stuff on social media. Especially since we live out of town and made a special trip to go to lunch. I politely mentioned that to our server and she said that no one could change the posts that they make to Facebook!? Then she rudely asked what we wanted, we both ordered a beverage and she brought those out. After my daughter had a few sips of her drink she noticed the inside of the cup was completely dirty. We waited upwards of 20 mins before she even came back to the table, we asked if we could get the drink replaced and she snatched it off the table and walked away. Didn't acknowledge anything or say a friendly "Sorry about that". Then it was another 15 to 20 mins for the food. I wouldn't say it was overly busy during that time. Let's not forget to mention our server must have bathed in her perfume and it was nauseaing anytime she walked by. After our drinks had been empty for about 10 mins, we finally flagged her down to get a refil and I thought it was strange she grabbed both our glasses, took them with her and went to refil them, no new ice and the same cups. Although I don't have my food handlers card, but I always thought that wasn't allowed, but I could be wrong. If nothing else, freshen up the melted ice since the drinks sat empty for 10 mins. No offer of water or even to ask how our food was or if we wanted a to go box. Just so unpersonable. Word of advice when going there, if you want good service, get seated so one of the bartender's serve you want not the girl that is no where to be found. I went up front to pay before the server never came back to grab my card. I asked when I was upfront if I could talk to manager and she just kinda shrugged it off and grabbed her phone out of her pocket and started doing something on that. I assumed she might have been texting for a manager to come, but I was clearly wrong because she handed me my receipt to sign and said there you go. Even the hostess that sat us was unpersonable and not even friendly. That isn't the way to get repeat customers to your establishment, that's for sure!

Wow what can I say? Absolutely everything is a vibe here. Such great and quick service, food was so delicious, such a good addition to the grand mound area. I so recommend stopping by for a bite to eat. I wish I wasn't on a sober streak of I'd get some drinks because I'm sure they're up to the same standard as the food.

By default we came here again. Happened to be our anniversary. We walked in and were offered a seat at the bar. No thank you, we need a booth, step it up a little for our evening. We got a booth by the kitchen. Our waitress was super annoying and must have had about 20 Red Bulls. Wanted to know what we wanted to drink the second we sat down. The drink menu was a QR code and I felt rushed and just picked a beer. He ordered a whiskey she came back right away and was like we don't have that type of whiskey what else you want? He said I'll just have water, so she would go away and he could look at the drink menu and not be stared at. She came back 2 minutes later asking if we were ready to order our food. He ordered his drink and we ordered our food although again rushed. He got the grilled pork chops and a side house salad. I got the BBQ Tri Tip. He didn't get the salad before the entree. His chicken was very overcooked. So was my Tri Tip which tasted like it had been bathing in ketchup since yesterday. I hardly ate anything on the plate it was really awful. She came back once to check on us and when she asked how was it, we said ok. She replied "just ok?!?" like she was shocked that we didn't lie and say everything is great. We asked for the check. She looked at my plate and asked if I would like a to go box and I said no. Again she looked shocked. If I didn't eat it now, I sure as hell am not eating it later. It was a loss of a night out and money. And then my honey woke up at 3am, gut sick so instead of sleeping, I am writing this review. Unless we come in for just a beer with friends, we won't be back here. Final note, being by the kitchen. I could watch the "chefs". They all looked very young, like my son who is 20. I wondered what kind of chef experience one must have to work here. Or if they just hire young people who think they can cook by throwing a hungry man frozen dinner in the microwave. Honestly that would have been better.

My expectations were low given the area and nearby casinos but the food turned out to be pretty good and we were pleasantly surprised.

Let's start with the positives. The ambiance is great and I like the little liquor shop at the front. The wait staff is nice. That's about it. The food is mediocre to bad. Ordered a few appetizers and entrees between the two of us. The only good item was the fried stuffed jalapeños (although there wasn't any bacon as advertised). The Scallops from their seasonal menu were genuinely bad. Literally inedible. The Ruben sandwich was flavorless. The poutine seemed to use some pretty low quality cheese and the gravy was weirdly sweet. The beers were just okay. Although had a cider that just tasted like artificial flavoring chemicals. I think if I had just come in for drinks, the rating would be higher.

Fun place. Good beer selection. We come here for fish and chips. Wish they had a choice of one or two pieces. I can never eat two. They are big size not those tiny pieces you get elsewhere. It is kind of noisy in there at dinner time but thats expected I suppose. I wish it were a bit more cozy atmosphere. Outdoor seating is available in summer months but if they had heaters or a fire pit i bet thats where I'd be in February. Help is adequate but not overly friendly. Wish that you could substitute a green salad for coleslaw with no extra charge though. Oh well. 5 stars if 1.help would improve a bit and 2. atmosphere would bump up.

Salty Salty Salty. There's a secret in bar restaurants that you make food slightly saltier than normal. This makes people thirsty and drives up beer sales. We weren't drinking so it was salty for the sake of being salty. The poutine was delicious underneath and had a healthy serving of fries but overall was salty. I don't like mushrooms but the potatoes were salty on the omelet. The fried chicken salad was good but embodied the "cold shredded cheese and canned olives" style of salad. The smoked chicken sandwich was good and the onion rings were tasty. This one was also salty. My biggest problem is food served on planks instead of a plate. Overall, it's good. Did I mention the saltiness? Fix that and it's probably the best food around.

We enjoyed the beer tasting and to-go beer. Nice people and easy counter service. Great convenience for us guests in the hotel 100 feet away. The other alcoholic drinks were hit and miss. Some of the flavors seemed ill conceived. Not my bag.

Amazing beer and food. Daniel served us on the patio and made for a very enjoyable evening. Do yourself a favor and stop by for a meal. The patio is pet friendly

We always enjoy the beers here. Just be aware: they can be very high in alcohol. The service was a bit bad, but they let us know before hand that it was gonna be that way because they were very behind that day. We all had the prime rib and it was warm but not hot sadly. They were happy to switch the sides. The prime rib was good, but definitely not the best. It was very clean, no sticky tables. It is a very cool place and their alcohol is made there.

We had a group of 12 on Friday the 5th for dinner. It was one of the worst dining experience I have had in a long time. The waitress was rude and abrupt and said we don't have that when I ordered a peach cider. I said, you do, are you out? I also asked to use a different bread on a sandwich and another abrupt no, there are no substitutions . She was clearly annoyed we wanted separate checks and a host of other issues she had with us. My grilled cheese came out dry and cold as did the fries. My husband said his height was decent but everyone else who had a sandwich said the same, dry and cold. Unfortunately, food and service has been hit and miss here of late.

I don't know bout this place that it's a restaurant my first time on this place . Food is great , restaurant is really nice atmosphere to it and you see these servers it's like they came out from mowing the lawn no personality not friendly WTF looks classy restaurant but the servers is not...Service !!! So we are in the table and guy came and he said it's gonna take a couple minutes so that's fine and he came back and get our orders & so there onother dude brought our foods I finally got mine and my husband and NOT EVEN ONCE any server came and ask if we need anything else water, yea I need more refill on my tea! He just walk by too and so done eating and did not even ask for dessert. So finally he was on the nxt table telling them I have couple things to do so I will be right w you. This table have 6 people probably their dad elderly guy w a veteran Korean hat. Go help them! Don't say you have a couple things to do. That's why you have a free country cause of them and be nice! So anyway no personality I start to stand up so he came and I ask my receipt so receipt and pen that's it . Omg! I was mad cause I did not get my dessert and my refill tea. I'm a generous tipper if they are nice but not once came to our table. I wasn't going to leave a tip but my husband is nice enough. hopefully nxt time they will be looking better

First time cheese curds were amazing, second time good but in 1/4" oil, so the bottom was soggy. I'll be back, but please drain better.

This place is super awesome, epic, and amazing. The food was spectacular, the service was amazing, and the ambiance was unmatched. Special shout out to Christopher and Daniel, you guys are super duper awesome sauce. Love the mustard. Keep it up! Turned our 1/10 night into an 11/10. Stay rad!!!

Ambiance was beautiful although the patio was closed for winter... it was 80 today and has been for the last few days. We sat inside. There was 2 tables and it took us 32 minutes to get the poutine which was mediocre. The gravy was cold but the cheese and fries were amazing! The fish and chips were also mediocre. That took an additional 40 minutes. Again one two tables. The server seemed agitated at everything and barely checked on our table of 4. Drinks were 100%great! Root beer float is delicious! We also got the charcuterie board which used to have everything separated but now it's stacked together which looks great but not easy to eat. Bread pudding was a star! Absolutely recommend it! Service was just fat to long for half cold food.

I had high hopes driving in. The whole place is super clean. Lots of parking available. Clean. Fresh. Modern. In fact, the decor and panoramic wall of windows showing the distillery was the best part about the whole experience. Very nice Scenic drive there- but the food was definitely lacking. Overpriced and generic. Staff were friendly, not over helpful or informative but dutiful.....I'll probably never be back. It's forgettable to say the least.

Food was hot and fresh. Service was amazing our server was a Redhead and Red bearded amazing fellow. Well versed on the beers my wife loved the did a custom sampler. She is hooked on the Mac cheese with fried chicken protein. I had a wonderful Ruben sandwich with their double fries. We stopped in twice now been great both times. Ambiance is great get together and hang out place nice and clean.

We like to ear here on our way home from Portland. The service is always friendly. They had the best fries. "Served with hand-cut & twice-fried Kennebec fries." HAD the best fries. They changed their menu, and the Keenebec fries are no longer on the menu. The new fries are more like Red Robin style. The salmon sandwhich used to be very delicious. It was very dry this time and over seasoned. As we were leaving, we noticed another table (the diners were gone) and the fries were untouched.

Cozy and comfortable atmosphere while sitting at the bar. Friendly attentive service and staff was very helpful with ordering my dairy free meal. I loved the salmon salad that was prepared perfectly. The Elk River whiskey served neat was some of the best I have ever tasted! SOOOO SMOOTH!

Honestly I have had some incredible food here and some not-the-best (but not bad!) food here. Service is always friendly and atmosphere cozy but am unsure what's going on with it being hit or miss. Definitely a good option if you're local or visiting the Great Wolf!

I like the location, and the building is beautiful. You get a nice feel arriving and walking in. Unfortunately Our second visit here was worse than the first. First visit was sub-par. The service was good, the food was not. Second visit even worse. Before we could even finish sitting the young waitress was there taking drink orders. She came back and told me what I ordered wasn't on the menu. Why didn't she know drinks to begin with? I reordered a water and she came right back asking what our order was. We hadn't even had a chance to put my readers on yet! We finally ordered and waited forever for the food. My dinner salad arrived with the main course-warm not chilled. I ordered the pork chops. Two, maybe 4 oz chops that were so overcooked I was choking it down. The second one tasted so bad I couldn't eat it. Like old or spoiled meat. My wife's meat was just as dry and overcooked. The potatoes on both our plates were cold, my mixed veggies were cold. The collard greens tasted days old and like spoiled rotten mush. The waitress stopped by and asked how things were. I told her not good. She asked why and I told her the meats were dry and overcooked, the sides were cold, and we weren't happy. She says in the most insincere voice "oh Im so sorry you don't like it" and walks away. We were expecting a manager or cook or anyone to stop and ask further but nothing. In fact each time she walked past us she wouldn't make eye contact. Our drinks were empty, no refills offered. Our food was terrible, no options offered, the server should not be one and was super annoying in demeanor.All the chefs look like kids playing games in the kitchen, they did not look organized or professional. I told the lady at the front the same feedback and could tell she couldn't care less either. Hopefully this review will get a management attention and they will start fixing these problems. We will never go here again, not even for a cold beer on a hot day.

I am not sure why this restaurant has been getting 3 and 3.5 stars, the vegetarian food and service was spot on! Also the portions were huge and the food very reasonably priced. We are staying at Great Wolf Lodge for the weekend and decided to have dinner here today. This place has a brewery, distillery and restaurant in one building. We got seated in 10 mins on a Friday evening and that was not bad at all. MThey have a bar area and a restaurant area with booths. Since we had our kids with us, we were seated in one of the booths by the window. We ordered two flights of beer. Four 4oz beers for $6.25! Pretty decent and the beers were delicious! We also ordered a variety of appetizers, mains and sides - giant pretzel, fried pickles, onion rings, roasted tomato basil soup, a small house salad, grilled cheese with fries. We also ordered a pint of two of our favorite beers from the flight - the tripel and the Belgian blonde. We ended up boxing a lot of the food because we didn't expect such huge portions! Our waitress Alaina was very friendly and super attentive. Just off I-5 and WA-12, this is a great place to hang out if you are driving by and need a break. Or if you get bored of the food in Great Wolf Lodge like we did, swing by here and you'll love it!

This place is really cool. I enjoyed it. It was a business meeting /lunch situation so I did not pull out the camera at the table to get pics of the food, but it was presented well and it was hot and tasty. I think I will go back and try something different next time . I did take a few photos of the booze while waiting on the person I was meeting . The rum looked delicious.

We grabbed lunch after a long camping trip. It was AMAZING. i enjoyed the vibe of this place. Very conviniently located off I5, it meshes the distillery and brewery side very well. I liked that the bar is open to the outside. I ordered a gingertini, it was delicious. My husband ordered a beer at first, and although it was good, he ended up switching to my drink. I ordered the cheeseburger with fries and my husband ordered a sandwich, we were both very pleased with both meals. He is usually not a fan of fries but he enjoyed these ones. Overall, a really nice place with good drinks and good dood. When we go back, we'll have to order the tasting flight.

I had the fried chicken sandwich and tomato basil soup. The fried chicken was tough more batter than chicken and seemed over cooked. It was also bland not much flavor. The tomato soup....if that is how it's supposed to be made/served I won't have that again. Not your typical tomato basil bisque soup. Not my thing. The facility was very nice and clean. Service was spot on. We may come back to try something else not sure at this point.

Wow! My husband wanted to stop here on our way home, I'm so glad we did! I got the chicken melt it was delicious! My husband got the fried chicken sandwich he said it was super good. The fries are handcut and absolutely delicious. House made ranch is some of the best I've ever had. The waiter was on point with attention to drinks, and his customer service was great. It's a nice little restaurant inside the distillery. Very modern. We will definitely be back.

Two BIG thumbs up for Talking Cedar! It's been a while since we frequented a tasting room, distillery, eatery but we're very happy that we came across this place! We are relatively new to this area of the state and through an acquaintance, we learned about Talking Cedar and were encouraged to go. We decided to go there for Father's Day dinner and were very pleased with the whole experience. The place is large, for one, so we didn't feel cramped. The servers were also very cooperative and helpful with the kids, so we didn't feel pressured to have to have them sitting quietly the whole time. Service was efficient and friendly. For drinks, we went with a beer flight. We got a flight of 4 and each one was really good. We had the Amber, Raspberry Blonde, Porter, and Kolsch. My favorite was the Porter (smooth and chocolate tones) and the Amber (hoppy and a clean finish). The Blonde was good too (not the biggest fruity beer fan, but my wife liked it the most) and the Kolsch was just a wee bit too sour for our tastes, but still good. For food, I got the fish and chips and my wife and son each got a burger. We also had fried pickles and the big, soft pretzel for starters. Everything was delicious! The fish was cooked well and had a tasty batter. Both burgers were well prepared and cooked too, with high-quality beef that looked like a handmade patty! The starters were super tasty too and it was hard to not eat them all and fill up before the main course got to us! All in all, we had a great experience at Talking Cedar and would recommend it to anyone! We are looking forward to coming back and trying out more things on their menu!!

Hubby and I like it here. We usually get good service and the food is pretty good. Nothing spectacular but satisfying. I usually have one of the salads but we've had the prime rib special and it was quite good.

Had very high hopes for this Chehalis Tribe partnership with Heritage Distilling. Outside patio looks like a good spot for outside dining for large groups and inside is a working brewery. Patio overlooks a parking lot by I-5. Fun, but "brunch" was a total bust inside. Service was friendly, but achingly-slow on a Sunday morning. Food was luke warm. Very basic breakfast offerings. Might be better for burgers and salads for lunch or dinner. Nice, casual space inside. Was seated by the open kitchen which was really loud. And, we watched seven different staff members walk past the dirty floor and never bother to sweep up the food that sat there through our entire visit. We finally just picked it up ourselves after a senior customer with a walker almost slipped and fell...Sad.

We were a large group 4 adults and 2 toddlers. Never been to the restaurant prior to this visit. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable on beer when asked regarding a lite not heavy beer. Her recommendation was very enjoyable and we bought a six pack to go. Everyone enjoyed their meals fish and chips, pork chops, pulled pork and mashed potatoes, pasta and kids loved chicken strips and fries. The fries were awesome. Our waitress even whipped up a cocktail sauce to accommodate a special request due to egg allergy to tater sauce. Very enjoyable dining experience. Will definitely come back.

On a long road trip, but researched good places to eat along the way. Decided on this place. Was not disappointed. Sat outside because we had a dog with us on the road trip. It was cold out, no one was on the patio, but they made sure to take care of us regardless. Server was friendly and welcoming. We ordered the cheese curds because of pics on yelp. OMG! Had no idea how huge the portion was. HUGE! A lot for 2 ppl, couldn't eat half even, but they were so indulgent and crispy and salty and hot. Yum. Burgers (2 different ones: bbq and blue cheese were good.) patties are almost like a smash burger, and had good flavor. Fries were a total let down, and not great, overcooked. But we didn't really care because we still had a ton of crispy cheese curds to eat with our burgers. Beers and cider were good too. Great stopping point for travelers and locals alike. Definitely recommend if you are wanting good pub food.

Came here before a shoot to eat with my partner. I had never been here till now. We were seated right away on a late Thursday afternoon which was nice. Ordered a couple drinks and an appetizer. Waited about 20 mins before I asked where the app was, we were in a hurry to go get pictures but if we had more time I wouldn't have cared. The waiter took the cost off for the inconvenience without me even asking which is why I will be going back. Will update when I do.

Hello, My name is Tracy and I wanted to share the wonderful experience I had with Gabriel at Talking Cedar. We have several people in our family who have very serious food allergies. We honestly don't eat out very often because it tough to avoid those allergies or we end up getting some resistance or impatience from servers when asking questions about ingredients and we are uncomfortable. We wanted to do something special for one of our son's birthdays and decided to order food from Talking Cedar. I called in our order and Gabriel answered the phone. He was incredibly patient and professional with us. He shared that he had food allergies as well and knows how hard it can be. It made me feel very comfortable. Gabriel answered all my questions even putting me on hold in order to check with the kitchen on an ingredient he was unsure of. When I arrived to pick up the food, he had it ready to go and asked me to check it to make sure that there were no issues. He made me feel so comfortable and I felt like I was treated with dignity and respect throughout the interaction. Because this is often rare in the food service industry from my family's experience, I wanted to make sure that Gabriel receives some recognition on what should be a standard when helping customers make informed decisions about their health around food choices. Gabriel showed his dedication to support customers and his committed to make Talking Cedar a place where our family and others with food allergies can come and feel confident, supported and respected. I appreciate him and Talking Cedar for hiring someone who thinks about things from the perspective of the customer.

Food was great, and came out so fresh! Our server Daniel B. Was absolutely outstanding, full of information for us out of towners. We'll most definitely be back!

Slowest service on the planet. Been here easily 90 minutes and still waiting for our food. Had to go to the bar to get our own water. Will never return....if we ever get our food and I can get out of here.

The food is very good. The service is also first rate. The atmosphere is pleasant. The only negative thing about it is that some of the seats are poorly located, but that's true a lot of places. I really enjoy their steaks and the salmon. My teenager assured me that the burger is good too.

I was very impressed by Talking Cedar, place is huge, a parking lot to match, and food and drinks were very good, large portions and delicious. I had fish & chips $17.00USD, fish was scrumptious, fresh, light and crispy, hand battered cod, apple/cabbage slaw, hand-cut & twice-fried kennebec fries, house-made tartar sauce. Dirty Martini $8.00USD, was very good, Heritage Distillery Elk River Vodka, strong & fragrant. Beer is crafted on premises Talking Cedar Brewery (Chehalis Indian Tribe) and partnered with Heritage Distilling Co (Gig Harbor WA), there were 12 different beers on top, on the day of my visit. Decor is rustic Pub, extensive use of wood, comfortable seats and excellent social distancing. I would probably not go out of my way to visit Talking Cedar from Southern Cal, but if you are near Olympia, Centralia, or Vancouver, WA, definitely worth a visit, great place to stop by have some food and excellent drinks. You'll not be disappointed.

Great foot fettuccine Alfredo was bomb so was the tritip steak salad. COD tacos were not that good. The service was great very nice and funny. And the ambiance of the restaurant was amazing.
