"After overturning an outdated 1834 federal restriction, Talking Cedar distillery in Grand Mound, Washington — owned by the Chehalis Tribe — is preparing to start producing whiskey, vodka, and gin; the operation began work in 2015, hit the legal roadblock in 2017, and fought to reverse the law in order to open. With the arrival of coronavirus the distillery shifted to making hand sanitizer, and while full distillery production should begin soon the venue’s restaurant has already opened and the bar is currently serving spirits made by partner Heritage Distilling Co." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden
