Delicious :) we loved it here. Very chill vibe and the workers are very friendly and cute. We got the chilaquiles. Bomb. We also tried tamales verdes, mole, guajillo, rajas, and dulce. Mole and guajillo were our faves!!! But everything was amazing.

Add extra hot sauce and your tastebuds would thank me later. Very polite and yeah the food was fire.

The tamales are amazing. I like the mole tamal that is my favorite one. However the green one and sweet one are also delicious. They also have great breakfast and the service is amazing. Overall they are great try them

The most amazing Tamales in New York. They also sell Tamales on 116 and Lexington Ave. It's an amazing story of hard work and determination started selling Tamales in a corner and have a restaurant now. Try the mole and green sauce tamal. They also have breakfast, lunch and diner now. It's a must if you are visiting and looking for great Mexican food in Harlem.

One word defines Tamales Lupita: outstanding. It's a fun ambience to be in, and the menu and service is pretty great. Always fresh, always yummy. Everything is tasty. And also, the service was amazing and the staff was really courteous. Certainly check it out.

This place is right next to my building. I use to go there fairly regularly but I've since stopped because the food just isn't that good and their prices are all over the place. It's a small operation that serves a limited menu. Seems like every time I go, they're out of a particular item I want. I've tried their tacos, quesadillas, meat plates, tamales, nachos, pretty much the entire menu. After all that, I have to say I am unimpressed with their food. The meat that they use for their tacos, quesadillas, and platters all have the exact same seasoning and the meat itself is always incredibly dry. The tamales aren't bad but there's too much masa for the small amount of filling. I really wanted to like this place because they are 2 doors down from me and I wanted to support local business but alas, a final incident made me decide that I would stop going altogether. I ordered nachos from them one day. The restaurant was empty save for me. Not only did the guy there take about 20 mins to make a plate of nachos, they were some of the most anemic looking nachos I had ever seen. There was barely any cheese and the chips were super greasy. To top it all off, he had the gall to over charge me. He charged me $10 for a plate of sh*tty nachos that I waited forever for when their menu clearly shows that Nachos were $6.99. The prices at this place can't be considered cheap but I had always figured it was Manhattan so whatever, but I can't tolerate them just making up prices as they go along. For these reasons of bad food and bad service, I will no longer be a customer here.

Wow!! I followed the recommendations to get here for lunch and they were so right! What a little gem of a place. I tried the tamales, which I'm not all that familiar with, and they are really tasty. I got one mole and one verde with chicken. I also got one picadita with pork and all the fixings (lettuce, fresh tomato, onion, cheese, and sour cream). So nice. VERY fresh ingredients- you can tell by the wonderful flavor. And the man behind the counter was so warm and welcoming. I came just before noon on a Thursday and I had no trouble getting seated at one of the few small tables in this sweet and cozy spot! So nice. Gracias!

Sadly I returned for a third time to order some chicken tacos. Luckily I was t far from home as I got very sick shortly thereafter

I had a chicken tamale and pork tamale. Both horrible. He couldn't even put in separate wrappers, they came squished together in one flimsy plastic wrapper. Tamales were disgusting , dry tasteless , old, obviously spent to much time in the microwave. A request for red and green sauce resulted in 2 tiny cups of the sauce that would barely cover one bite. Masa was hard like a rock. And these were $4 each. You can get better at a stand for $1. Disgrace

We LOVE Lupita's!! It's such a sweet little place. Their tamales are GREAT! The prices are astonishingly cheap - like, step into a past decade cheap, and the folks who work there are really kind. Vegetarian friendly as well... and definitely worth a visit.

The tamales are delicious! Tiny shop but full of flavor. My favorite are the rajas and dulce tamales. I haven't tried anything else on the menu yet but looking forward to. I also appreciate that the staff takes cleanliness seriously.

Delicious tamales at this hidden gem for extremely cheap prices. Everything is freshly made and there are a variety of yummy hot sauces that taste homemade to enhance your tamale experience. I believe they're serving very cheap breakfast and other lunch options as well so we need to go back. I believe it's family run and they seemed super friendly. It's a cute little local spot, definitely nothing fancy, but you'll get a nice vibe of East Harlem culture and cuisine. Don't come for special meal but if you want a quick tasty bite or a cheap meal to take or chill with, it's a great spot!

Great friendly cheap. Tamales authentic. If you expect sophisticated big city efficiency, you've obviously come to the wrong place.

Must try !!! Nice tamales and the price is just rigth. I have my tamal in a salad because the weather was so hot and they offer me the salad with the tamal and it was really nice
