Yelp
I will have to say, I was the only one who was not thrilled with the food here. There were three of us and my wife and so thought the food was good and I just did not.
A few details, this is a counter serve restaurant that is fairly small. There are two inside rooms and one outside room and the views are BREATHTAKING.
Service is friendly.
The restaurant is clean.
Price range is solidly in the $$ category.
But the food MM, what about the food?
Chips and salsa - salsa was thin, but packed a lot of flavor but the bowl of chips were so small, we had to order another bowl for $3 more dollars.
Guacamole - really good, but like the salsa, a tiny bowl of chips just was not adequate.
Jarritos - my son is a huge fan of Jarritos, so he was happy.
Chicken Burritto - good, not great and served Ala Carte.
No Carb Beef - proclaimed best dish of the night by my wife, and she is picky, very picky.
Chiliquilies - vegan dish, lacked flavor and was soupy.
Tamale - vegan dish, hot as fire - way too hot. When I brought this up the owner said it was sometimes mild and sometimes hot, they could not control it. (No offer to refund even though I only took two bites)
Black beans - heavenly good
Rice - a tad bit dry, okay desert conditions dry.
I think for me, getting excited about a restaurant that bills itself as Vegan and not delivering or accommodating just made this a bad experience for me. Again, my son and wife enjoyed it, but I really had one of the worst vegan food experiences I have ever had.
