Very cool place. First time seeing a show here. Very intimate sized group with spacious seating.... I don't think there could be a bad seat in the house. Small snack bar that sells beer, wine, candy, popcorn. Staff were all very helpful. Will call pick up was easy. You do have to go through security to get in. There is a cute little coffee truck outside while you wait in line... it was long but moves fast. Nice venue!

Tampa Theatre is a crown jewel of Tampa, hands-down one of the city’s most unforgettable attractions! Since its opening in 1926, this atmospheric movie palace, designed by John Eberson, has captivated visitors with its stunning Mediterranean-style architecture—think starry ceilings, ornate statuary, and intricate details that feel like stepping into a dream. Lovingly preserved and thriving in 2025, it’s a testament to timeless beauty. I watched the 20th-anniversary re-release of Pride and Prejudice in the Historic Duncan Auditorium, and it was pure magic—the perfect romantic classic for such an enchanting venue. The audience was spellbound, every eye gleaming with awe at the theatre’s grandeur and the film’s charm. From the lively “Austen Activities” in the lobby to the pristine acoustics and cozy seats, every moment was perfection. Tampa Theatre is a must-visit for anyone craving a blend of cultural splendor and cinematic wonder!

A perfect venue for a concert! It's a stunning space with an intimate feel with the artist. I will always love this space because of the history it holds. As an artist, I'm always looking for inspiration & this place has it!

I had the most amazing experience. I never knew this place existed and had the pleasure of being invited, and now I can't wait to come back. Everything about this place is absolutely stunning. I found myself drifting off and staring at the ceiling at times because of how beautiful it is. I would recommend to everyone to check it out at least once. They even do children's movies on Sundays.

Love the vintage vibe and cozy feel, and they get some great performers. Staff are friendly and helpful. First floor concessions can get jammed up but the bar on the second floor is usually less busy.

It's a very majestic theater built in the 1920's, and there is not a bad view in the house . One thing to be aware of, and the theater warns you of it on their website, is that legroom is snug and limited, except on the first floor which was recently remodeled. So, if you are a tall person, or if you have a bad knee or leg, you will want to get tickets on the first floor, as elsewhere could be uncomfortable.

Beautiful old restored theatre. The lobby is spectacular, and the seating area just gorgeous. Would love to see a live show here. This place is a real gem.

This historical gem, one of the top 10 vintage theatres in the US, retains original details and structure with modern upgrades t the 1200 seat venue with mezzanine. For example, the camera is a modern version. All the seats have been redone with attention to comfort while conserving the historical tone. I have enjoyed classic films, indie films, first-run on movies that sometimes go big, and several special events. Tonight I enjoyed a special reception for Restaino Family Foundation before an open viewing of "It's A Wonderful Life." The Theatre had many pictures on the wall of the original days of the Theatre. STEPHEN is a wonderful front door face of the theatre with his kind, welcoming manner. Great concession service by Stephen, Kenneth, and Juan and a woman whose name I forgot. The quaintness of the exquisite decor and design of the theatre also does not include an elevator with access to first floor restrooms, or third level mezzanine. The restroom on main floor wheel chair accessible with 2-3 grab bars. The restrooms on first and third level are not accessible due to historic design and they have a tiny child's toilet. The new John T. Taylor Screening Room with 43 seats offers a separate entrance but attached small theatre.
