"SoCal native Tan-Cha found a home for itself in the Bay. Unlike boba shops that offer sweet foam in just one flavor, Tan-Cha is known for its variety, with options like cheese foam, matcha foam, and tiramisu puff cream. They discourage the use of straws, so you can enjoy the foam in all its glory. When it comes to fruit teas, Tan-Cha drinks contain slices of real fruit without any artificial sweeteners or syrups. The elegant blend of ingredients makes for pretty aesthetic drinks." - Cathy Park

I ordered the Brulee Thai Milk Tea with Caramel boba and it was fantastic! I normally go with fruit teas, but they didn't have that many options. I figured I'd give a milk tea try and I was not disappointed. It was very good and the foam stuff in it was even better. The drink was very good looking as well. Size felt generous for being 6-7 dollars. My usual place I pay 8 dollars and get less so this was a surprise. The caramel boba was similar to honey boba just a bit more flavored. Their texture was good and I really liked them. Service was fast and quick. The atmosphere was good, (it wasn't busy) servers were nice and speedy. I would definitely come here again!

Google
The tea flavor is strong which I like the most. The price now is crazy, way experience, again, I will blame inflation. I used to like their cheese cream foam, but it is too sweet now. I remember matcha/uji is their top must try; I just found out Pu’er tea and matcha cream foam is amazing too.

Google
The strawberry smoothy is fire. The super fruit tea tasted nice but when I was done drinking the watermelon was too soft to eat and in general the fruit bits were not present enough. Anybody that wants a very fruity tea I would recommend Moomo a few minutes north from here. This place is great for drinking while you're waiting in line for Kura. But i probably wouldn't come just for Tan-Cha from afar. Maybe for the strawberry smoothie.

Google
THE FLUFFY PANCAKE IS AMAZING!!! I have waited years to try such a treat, and I can thank Tan-Cha for bringing me this joy~! It's so soft and not too sweet AND IT JIGGLES!!! Drinks are consistent in taste, and the best are the Matcha or Tiramisu foams~ Service here is incredible, and everyone is so friendly. They really make me come back (well besides the food and drinks). It is small inside, so don't expect to sit and eat. But it's nice to eat outside when the weather is not horrible. Finding parking still sucks because it is the overcrowded Main Street Cupertino Plaza, but I will fight for parking for a fluffy pancake. Hands down my new favorite milk tea shop~!

Google
Oh, wow, two ordered the #5, I got the peach tea with tiramisu foam. It was delicious. The orders came out quick and on point. I would definitely come back. 3 drink = $18.

Google
This is the only location for tancha in bay area. They are located in nice area right besides boiling point too. The drink is just alright as well, For drinks, I do get either the cheese foam or the avocado drinks. On most of the occasion, they have a very long line, typically it takes half an hour for you to get your drink but on the upside parking is easy. The only complaint that I have from this place is their service. I do find most of the time, they are rude and not being nice at all to many of the customers. Although I understand they are quite busy, but I don't see a reason to sacrifice the customer service quality for the business. They will scream your number when its done, but often time its not clear at all what they are saying so I would check in and instead they will give me attitude for checking in which confuse me because it is not very convenient for me to keep checking in too. Maybe they can give out buzzer or something and also being nicer to customer.

Alvina Waseem

Google
Low key probably a lot of this place's business is from people waiting for Kura, so it's good to have somewhere to grab a drink and chill in the meantime. I liked their uji green milk tea with cheese foam. Not too much caffeine either

Mary Malyushytska

Google
One of the best tea places in the bay area. You can't go wrong with anything you choose. The peach cheezo is one of my favorites and the Uji Green tea with tiramusu foam is delicious. You have to try it at least once!

Yelp
Tan-Cha changed their boba beans recently for all their locations which resulted in hard-to-chew boba for their boba drinks. The good news is they are responsive to their customers' feedback and will be changing back their boba beans to their usual deliciously soft and QQ boba. My friends and I had disappointing boba drinks at the Tan-Cha in SoCal last week due to their new hard-to-chew boba, so I was hoping that they have switched back to their original boba beans by now. I specifically asked the barista girl if their boba is back to normal before I ordered my drink and she said yes! Thank goodness and I am now back to being a Tan-Cha fan girl! =) My fav go-to drinks are: -Red Jade Milk Tea With Tiramisu Foam and adding boba. -Royal Ceylon Milk Tea W/ Tiramisu Foam and adding boba. No other boba shops can match Tan-Cha's unique boba drinks with tiramisu foam. It is like drinking a delicious foamy tiramisu dessert with boba. Simple divine! Now that they have switched back to their original boba beans, I will be sure to visit them more often. Great job, Tan-Cha!

Yelp
Extremely disappointing. Tonight the green tea tasted soapy, artificial, with an aftertaste similar to cleaning chemicals that was incredibly alarming. I am HUGE #1 fan of their strawberry green tea but I am getting tired of the inconsistency in their tea flavor. Workers are either over-steeping tea or quality is becoming unpredictable. Not worth the risk of losing your $6 :( Unfortunately we had to throw away due to quality concerns with such an awful taste. Tan-cha please fix this so it's not a gamble for loyal costumers :((

Irene C.

Yelp
I don't know where to start... there were a few drinks I wanted to try but I can only do 1. Will have to come back to try the other ones. The tiramisu foam is pretty good but a tad on a sweeter side. The green tea def tasted good quality, but slightly bitter - I ordered half sweet and seems to be good amount of sweetness mixed with the tiramisu foam. Will try the brûlées next time! Wasn't busy around 8 so order just took several minutes.

YJ L.

Yelp
I'm always down for boba when the menu seems unique! Tan-Cha had so much to offer with their seasonal items and specialty drinks, so I was super excited! Only to be disappointed because they weren't able to make any matcha drinks !! It was close to closing, but their menu significantly decreased, and I couldn't even order one of the most popular items, the cheese grape drink, because they were out of many ingredients. 5 stars only for the Lemon Yakult drink--the grapefruit slushie was very watery and terribly flavored, but the ice was blended extremely well. The location has nice tables and chairs, but smelled a little too strongly of cleaning products. Overall, I'm not sure if I'd come back to this place for anything other than the Lemon Yakult.

Lucy Y.

Yelp
There are only a few drinks that are good here imo. Some of the flavors are too interesting that it becomes bad. There isn't much seating inside but the interior is nice and clean. The employees are very nice and friendly. I got the strawberry smoothie and it was pretty good.

Tony J.

Yelp
We shared a green milk tea with tiramisu foam and red bean topping. We got 25% sweet, which was more than sweet enough, especially given the inherently sweet tiramisu foam and red bean paste. We got it with less ice, and there were only small fragments of ice interspersed in the foam. There is a parking garage in the back with 15-minute spots which are perfect for picking up boba to go.

Jasmine Y.

Yelp
I usually only go to Tan-Cha if I am in the area since it hasn't really captured me in a unique way. The service was fast and our drinks came out almost immediately with only two workers. I always get a brown sugar type of drink when I do not know what to order and it was not bad!

Wendy C.

Yelp
We got the yo-strawberry which was a refreshing yogurt drink and brûlée Thai milk tea with boba. The milk tea was still pretty sweet with less sugar and was a decent Thai flavor but I've had better. Boba was chewy. Came on a Wednesday night and it wasn't too busy with about a 10 min wait for the drinks to come out. There's a decent seating area with 4 or 5 tables inside and cushioned seats.

Michelle S.

Yelp
Love the Royal Ceylon Milk Tea with Tiramisu Puff Cream! Would definitely order this again whenever I'm back in town. I asked if this drink was overly sweet but it is just the perfect amount of sweetness. I tried a bunch of nearby boba shops (TP Tea, Teatop, Yi Fang, Gong Cha, etc.), and I would still prefer Tan-Cha over those aforementioned shops.

Zahra T.

Yelp
fast, kind, patient, friendly, and veryyy good quality drinks. The best place i've found in the bay area. I've been living here for 6+ years and i promise you that i believe that they have the most refreshing drinks. I havn't found their options anywhere else other than 1 other tan cha location. Clean bathroom.

Evelyn k.

Yelp
Great drink I got taro with red bean . Fast service and great staff . Lots of parking

Xuan C.

Yelp
Y'all this place is out of a lot of stuff. They don't do blended drinks 30 mins before closing. Also FYI, they close at 10:30, not 11. They discontinued their food options 2 years ago. The girl who worked here was nice though.

Jessica F.

Yelp
A few years ago, Tan-Cha was bustling -- they had these cute cups with salted cheese you would sip over their milk tea, and these jiggly soft pancakes that they would always sell out of. I wasn't too much of a fan of those things. I am sometimes in the mood for milk tea, but I'm usually in the mood for fruity drinks. We really enjoyed the Yo-Mango and the Hami Melon Smoothie (seasonal!). We usually get the creamios, which have a serving of ice cream if you're feeling particularly hungry on top of being thirsty. Mango creamio is what we go for, it's like a suped up mango pomelo sago. And sometimes, I get the milk tea bubble creamio.

Rosey Y.

Yelp
I used to go to tan-cha all the time! It's one of my favorite boba spots but it's literally across the county from where I live and it's so annoying to go all the way there and back + traffic. Would be nice if they opened a location in San Jose! I like the large logo inside the shop. I wish there were seating since it is a boba shop. I'd enjoy it more if they were seats where we could sit down and chat with friends or do our homework. The drinks are good. Quality is great. Little bit on the pricier side. They also have paper bags!!

Jessica V.

Yelp
Stopped my this place when my friends and I were hanging out around Main Street Cupertino. I got the Uji Matcha with Cheese Foam and it was pretty good, but not really different than anything else I've had in the Bay Area. The Uji matcha tasted high end. I got less sweet and less ice and that was perfect. The cheese foam had more of a dairy taste than a cheesy taste, which I didn't love. Overall, this is a pretty good boba place to grab a sweet treat after a meal with friends!

Sabreena N.

Yelp
I ordered the Cheezo Grape ($5.50) - this drink is so refreshing!!! I recommend this drink if you like grapes!! I personally like to shake the drink instead of sipping Bc whenever I sip the drink all I get is the cheese foam in my mouth LOL Brûlée Green Milk Tea w/ Oreo ($5.50) - I really like the brûlée on the side of the cup!! This one was a go to for the longest time until I got tired of it. Recommend trying this drink! The lines are usually long but since they have a lot of staff members, the drinks come out pretty fast. I'd recommend going on a weekday or during the day for it to be less crowded. Also (not pictured) but I'd recommend trying the Uji Green Tea w/Tiramisu puff cream on top!! I love sipping the tiramisu Check out my Instagram for more! @eatwithsabs

Alexandra A.

Yelp
My partner and I have always loved coming to this place especially after eating at the surrounding restaurants nearby because I am a sweet tooth, so desserts are a must. Their brûlée Thai milk tea with boba has always been my favorite because it definitely creates a remix of the simplicity of Thai milk tea by adding the creaminess and sweetness of the brûlée. I also love trying many boba places' version of Thai milk tea and I can say that this one is on my top 5. My partner got the taro smoothie with red bean and boba which was sweet and nutty with a vanilla cream taste. This place is popular for their smoothies and I'm glad that although they have a limited amount of smoothies, each drink definitely goes over the top in quality and taste.

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
This Tan-Cha location is located in Cupertino right outside of the Main Street Cupertino plaza. This is the busier location compared as their other one in Santa Clara, so the lines and the wait for drinks may be long - I feel like the last few visits I stopped by on a weekend and they were busy, but they only have 2 people working. Parking is either in the parking garages or parking lots nearby. The employees who are working now have an attitude and are rude, maybe management should hire more employees to keep up with the demand and flow of customers on busy nights/weekends. I usually order the Uji Matcha with Cheese Foam. It used to be super tasty, but the last few times, the drink tasted off - the matcha tasted more grainy and overpowering. When you let the employees know, they give you attitude saying this is how it always taste when it fact it is not because I used to come here all the time and order this drink. They would remake it after giving you attitude and being rude, but after they remake it, it would taste the same - bitter and grainy. It used to be a consistent and solid spot for a Uji Matcha with Cheese Foam, but the quality definitely went down with the new employees and short staffing.

Sophia C.

Yelp
Loved it in the 626 but not here Uji Matcha Green Milk Tea 2/10 - literally tasted like water ???? Where's the milk??? WHERES THE TEA??? - ok sweetness level Roasted Oolong with Tiramisu Foam 5/10 - literally water with tiramisu foam - tiramisu foam was the only reason why this drink got 5/10....it is the most consistent to the TanCha in SoCal I'm surprised there's a Tan-Cha in the Bay Area but this is not it. The one in SoCal is way creamier and has stronger tea flavor. I feel like the tea is watered down here. After brewing the tea I feel like they added too much ice or something to cool it down. Really disappointed because I love Tan-Cha in SoCal. Service was okay...nothing to complain about. Overall, definitely go to another boba shop because their drinks are so watered down. The other reviews seem to have the same impression so it seems to be consistently like this. There's so many boba shops in the area with better quality tea.

Jack R.

Yelp
First off, tipping my hat to the only person working there. The cashier and drink maker--he was awesome. I ordered an Osmanthus olong with cream then changed my order to one with tiramisu after I ordered it. He was super accommodating and just scooped out the plain cream and replaced it with tiramisu cream instead and I tipped him $1 cash in the tip jar. Great tasting drink really did taste like a smooth tiramisu tea, and great service.

Samantha F.

Yelp
This place introduced me to foams. The foams are yum! However, I am always confused- do I mix it in the drink? Do I intermittently take a spoonful of the foam? I appreciate the quality of the teas and love that I can get tea without milk. This is my go-to in downtown Cupertino. While the store is small, you can take a stroll around the square with drink in hand. I am fond of this place.

Joseph Y.

Yelp
I stopped by yesterday at 10:47 PM and the store was closed. Not sure what happened. Still have to try their drinks. Ended up at Teaspoon just in time before they closed.

Tiffany L.

Yelp
I think this is one of my favorite boba spots in the Bay Area hands down. Their tea flavor is just right, their tiramisu and cheese foam is so delicious and they give a lot compared to other places! I would adjust the sugar level to 25%-50% if you prefer less sweet drinks. It's a small shop, not too many tables available for larger parties. Drinks were served pretty quickly. Wish there was one closer in the east bay!

Alexa A.

Yelp
Tried their crème brulé milk tea with 25% sweetness and boba & while it was not my top choice, it was still delicious! I think I'll stick with regular milk tea, since this drink was pretty indulgent. Service is quick, even when there's a long line! Great stop to make after eating at dough zone or kura next door!

Marvin H.

Yelp
Tried the top drink on the chart, the Ceylon milk tea with tiramisu foam was very good. Nice and creamy, and you can specify your sweetness level. You order thru the counter and the drink was ready in 5 minutes. Staff was friendly and helpful. They are happy to answer any questions if needed. Drink was pricy ($6.25), but with the volume that you get, I think it's pretty competitive with nearby boba places in the Bay Area. They have plenty of outdoor seatings, as well as some tables indoor. Pretty clean and neat as well. Would recommend giving it a try after a meal at the Cupertino plaza!

Jennifer W.

Yelp
I'm not usually a big foam fan on my boba/milk tea drinks, but given their tea is pretty weak to non-existent here, do get the foam options to have some contrast. I had the uji green milk tea with tiramisu foam (one of their top items). Drinks came out very quickly, though it did take a while for someone to take our order. The drink itself was alright, it was enjoyable, but nothing to write home about. The "tea" didn't taste like tea at all and the caramel boba was overcooked and overly sweet, despite an adjustment down in sweetness for the overall drink. The tiramisu foam was probably the best part about the drink, but this drink now costs $7.25 pre tip so a hefty price tag for just a mediocre drink, not sure it was worth it. Small seating area inside, but at least 5-6 small tables. Plenty of parking in the garage area or to the side.

Kathleen W.

Yelp
We came here after eating at Sumiya to relax with friends. The furniture is nice, classy and comfortable with marble tables and white leather chairs. We ordered the Mango Creamio and did not realize it included ice cream until we got the drink. The drink is delicious, fruity and delightful. The grapefruit paired well with the mango and vanilla ice cream. I also love that they have small plastic shaped shovels to act as spoons.

Deanna L.

Yelp
Another dessert place that I wanted to go to was closed so Tan-Cha was the last minute back up. I ordered the bubble milk tea creamio and it didn't taste like how I had imagined. A scoop of ice cream was added to it so I assumed that it would be creamy, but it was more on the icy side. Some of the boba was hard and the drink had an aftertaste to it. I could not taste any tea flavor so I have no idea what the heck I was drinking. My boyfriend asked if he could add ice cream to the cheezo grape and the server straight up said no. We would be willing to pay extra for the ice cream, but we didn't even get a chance to. He originally wanted the mango one, and they ran out of mango. Bummer.

Sherry F.

Yelp
I don't think I've ever drank a milk tea as fast as I did the Uji Green Milk Tea with Tiramisu Foam. I loved how they provided spoons in the shape of shovels so I was able to eat all the foam. The foam itself was super fluffy and creamy -- 10/10 would get again just so I can have some more of that foam! Parking- There is a parking structure nearby but you could also park on the street if you're lucky. Inside- Seemed like a lot of friend groups were meeting up to exchange holiday gifts so it was really crowded inside. Seating is limited (3 small tables inside & 2 small tables outside). Tan-Cha appeared to be quite busy when we came from 9:30pm to closing.

Saleen L.

Yelp
Hidden in the back near the (infamous) Kura revolving sushi joint - this Boba place usually has a longggg line outside. The Boba craze is real in the Bay Area, legit - no matter how many places and options we have around (WHICH IS A-LOT) when a new one opens - the THIRST is unbelievably real. Menu here is straightforward with a few house specials - def. saw lots of ppl ordering the brown sugar and or brulee style drinks which I immediately knew would NOT be my cup of tea...since I don't like my drinks sweet. So I opted for the matcha with cheese foam - overall it was OK, I think the matcha flavor was tasty but the cheese foam was pretty basic. Great texture, but a bit bland compared to other places who also specialize in the "foam." I would pop by and try another drink if around the area - but honestly based off this one - I'd really have to debate if it's worth it depending on how LONG the line is.

Andrew S.

Yelp
Of the approximately 1 gazillion tea places near Main Street Cupertino, this one is my favorite. The teas taste like they are higher quality and their unique foam toppings (tiramisu foam and cheese foam) distinguish them from the now-common boba/jelly/etc. add-ins from other places.

Jenny C.

Yelp
Finally tried Tan Cha- short line on a Saturday afternoon (during a heat wave too), moved quickly. Their menu has several creations that are suggested, but the associate basically said they could mix and match any of those combinations. I was interested in their flavored foam drinks, and the associate informed me that the tiramisu foam is significantly sweeter than the matcha foam. I ended up getting the uji green milk tea with matcha foam, 25% sweet, and it was perfect. The matcha cream itself has a tiny bit of sweetness, so I'm glad I didn't do anything more than 25% sweetness. Covered parking behind the building is plentiful.

Nina V.

Yelp
Tan Cha was the pioneer when it came to cheese and tirimisu foam, and the quality of their foam holds up over many years still. I hadn't had tan cha for forever, and recently tried their ceylon milk tea with tirimisu foam. What a delight - the tirimisu flavor has a slight chocolate taste and I liked the combination of it with my milk tea base.

Marc T.

Yelp
Arrived at this place after dinner nearby around 7 pm, and there were lots of people! A birthday party going on, tea parties and the elderly just enjoying milk tea at an establishment with a clean aesthetic of white and gold. It was so busy with a queue of people and a understaffed boba shop of two workers from what I saw, but the bobaristas handled the flow well and provided each customer with the same amount of cafe. What I ordered was the Mango Creamio. I was super excited to try this since mango is my go to flavor, and the cream element made it super enticing to get. The cream was a dollop of vanilla ice cream :) The drink itself was had a great color profile with gold and orange mixed within. The flavor was disappointing... I definitely tasted the mango, but sunk at the bottom was grapefruit. Their menu doesn't provide description of their drinks unfortunately. Yet, the grapefruit was so off putting and made the taste bitter that I couldn't finish my drink even halfway. I like the venue and would give this place another chance despite the first experience.

Janette P.

Yelp
Visited Tan-Cha for some boba and here are my thoughts: There's was no wait, the inside is really clean and well kept! I like that they offer pictures of their drinks and some of them it can be hard to imagine what it would look like. I got a white peach oolong tea with cheese foam and it was mid. The foam was just okay, the tea doesn't have a strong peach flavor or any really, more like a peach essence, it could be plain black tea really, the boba has good consistency and is not too sweet. Overall would rate my drink like a 5/10, my sister got the uji matcha with cheese foam and red bean which she liked. Maybe I just picked a bad drink, will come back and try another drink. I don't know if the employee didn't notice us or was really busy cleaning but we did wait a few minutes before being helped despite the store being pretty empty; no greeting but that's okay. We didn't wait more than 5 minutes so not a big deal.

Lisa W.

Yelp
I love the cheese foam and how much they put in there but the milk tea was ok tasting. Even though I asked for 50% sugar, it was still a tad bit sugary. My friend even warned me. Not too bad. Boba was pretty fresh and soft and chewy. It's pretty busy when we came, there was a long line and wait was about 10 minutes.

Merilou B.

Yelp
Was looking for a boba spot that was open a little later as we went around 10PM. Was a bit difficult to find through directions but you'll notice it at the corner along the street! I ordered the bubble milk tea creamio, which mainly attracted me because of the ice cream HAHA. The drink came with a small shovel spoon to help eat the ice cream from the top. But when trying the actual milk tea it didn't really taste like anything and just tasted like ice. May want to try their other drinks but the main highlight of my drink was the ice cream...

Emily T.

Yelp
The foam topping here is one of the BEST. We came to this place after eating dinner near by and we ordered the Frothy Matcha Pu,Er Tea (75% sweetness) and Frothy Matcha Red Jade Black Tea (50% sweetness), both with agar boba. The tea was good for both drinks, but the real showstopper is the MATCHA FOAM. It was not too rich like other cheese foams. Also, I love the amount of foam that they gave! As for the store, the seating areas didn't seem that clean and their TV menu screen wasn't working so we looked at the paper menu. They also have a weird fridge display that is displayed towards the seating area that has a bunch of pre-smeared cups with their puff cream in it. Kinda weird LOL.

Emily L.

Yelp
Took a friend to try this location for the first time. I got my usual brûlée thai tea. He got a red bean matcha drink. We both loveddddd them. Service is quick and friendly. It's very clean and organized and cool in there. Cute decor and seating. Plenty of parking. Coming back forsure 10/10!!!

Apryl C.

Yelp
Always get the uji matcha with cheese foam and boba +50% sweetness. Kind of pricey but i crave it all the time!!

Carolyn D.

Yelp
3.5/5 for vibes I was honestly a bit nervous about how my drink would turn out. The girls at the register were seemingly new and not super professional. The taro latte you're not able to adjust sugar however the default tastes like 0% sugar. Definitely fits my taste and what I was looking for anyways but I can imagine someone normal wouldn't be a huge fan. The yo-strawberry was pretty standard. Next time I think I'll go to the santa clara branch where its guaranteed my drink would be good.

jen t.

Yelp
NEVER COMMING HERE AGAIN. First I would like to say that their drink containers are terrible. Not only did they not close them when they gave it to me but the drinks have no way of being completely closed even when it looks like it is suppose to. Not only did it spill all over me but also my car. The rest of the drinks are okay but I wouldn't recommend them being kept in the fridge for a day. I stored some of the drinks in the fridge the night I got them and I got a Sour taste when I drank it in the morning. I've been to Tancha before but I think the was just a bad experience. The tv menus were not working, the line was 45 minutes long and you can barely hear if they call your order.

Annie K.

Yelp
Royal Ceylon with Tiramisu foam 7.2/10, doesn't taste that much different from normal milk tea Yo-Strawberry Smoothie 5/10, would not get again, on the sour side from the yogurt, not much flavor Good ambiance, nice area to sit down and drink boba Conveniently located in Cupertino Main St plaza, easy to drop by after food in the area

Eva S.

Yelp
Came here after dinner at discovery fusion bbq in Cupertino, they open late. Get here around 9:30 pm, there are still a few people in line. They open indoor with a few tables inside. Tried their top 1 drink with 50% sweet with tiramisu cheese foam on top. The favor is creamy and like a dessert. The service is great, attentive and efficient. They were out of boba, green tea and fruit drink with cheese top when is out turn to order.

Heidi B.

Yelp
Came here while waiting for our reservation. I ordered the Ceylon milk tea with tyramisu foam topping at 50%. First off, it was delicious. Next time though I would get about 20% sweetness since the foam topping was more than enough. The guy that took our order was also really helpful. He gave a few reccomendations and was pretty patient with my indecisiveness. Just really good customer service in general. Overall, really good place. I do want to try more of their drinks!

Amy V.

Yelp
I found my guilty pleasure here to be the Red Jade Milk Tea w/ Tiramisu Foam at light sweetness! I think what really makes this drink is the salty foam, but the taste of the tea is light... I give it 4.5/5 but rounding up because it compliments well together, though I wish the tea taste was more strong, then I'd probably give it a 5/5! I've tried other drinks here like their seasonal Cheezo Grape but I didn't like that at all as the grape taste was light and all I got was a bunch of purple colored ice. Service here is just like any other milk tea place, nothing really stood out besides them repeating the order back to me to make sure it was correct. Love the shovels as spoons!

Alex P.

Yelp
Tan-Cha is my go-to spot for bubble tea; their drinks are consistently delicious, and the service is always friendly.

Ann M.

Yelp
I like boba and tea a lot. I drink it often. This place is a hit or miss for me but overall it's a decent place. I like to try their seasonal drinks and that's why I say a miss. It's good for others but my palate disagrees sometimes. Once I tried their mango slushy drink and I want to say there was grapefruit. I didn't care for it but my friend loved it. Today, I went safe and ordered a brûlée thai milk tea with boba. A little sweet for me. I think their drink is on the sweeter side so keep that in mind. Lastly, it was really busy when I walked in but quieted quickly. I was impressed with the one server working. There was a little wait but he was making the drinks as fast as he was taking our orders.

Yelp
I have heard some good things about Tan-Cha but never wanted to battle the long lines. When I didn't see a line out the door this weekend (mid-day Saturday), it felt like a sign to finally give them a try and see what all the hype was about. They have a good selection of drinks to try and a few seasonal items they were promoting. I ended up getting a strawberry green tea with boba and their brown sugar milk tea with boba (both set at 75% sweetness). The total for 2 drinks came out to be a little over $12 before tip. We waited about 20 minutes for both drinks even though there wasn't a line. I noticed that the people who were all waiting when we got to the shop continued to wait a while and we all ended up getting our drinks around the same time. Both drinks looked really pretty, but I was highly disappointed in the taste. The strawberry green tea was very strong, but the fruit bits were extremely sour. The boba texture was good, but there was too much syrup and it wasn't dissolving into the tea. I had the same issue with the brown sugar milk tea and it took a lot of stirring for it to finally settle; but once it settled, it made the entire drink too sweet. I was only able to drink 1/3 of it and sadly tossed the rest. Don't think I will be back due to the long wait time and the inconsistency of the drinks. I think they are over-hyped and there is plenty of other great boba spots in the area that I'd rather go to.

Yelp
I love tancha! Their toppings are always perfect, drinks are super flavorful, but the star of the show is the brûlée cream around the cup! Highly recommend visiting their cupertino location and trying any drink with the brûlée cream :)
