When we entered the restaurant, we are immediately greeted and brought to a table. It was a cold day and I was craving for some hot soup. It was a bonus that you can customize the spicy level on your soup. We ordered the Takoyaki Octopus ball as an appetizer and the Tanaka classic for both of us. I had added bamboo shoot and ordered my soup with level 2 spicy. Level 2 was the right amount. It gave a nice kick to the soup without overpowering it.

I 100% recommend. So. Good. Tanaka spicy chicken - fantastic - I love spicy and their level 2 of 4 was more than enough for me. Staff - omg epically kind. I was that guy who came in 40min before closing (didn’t check when they closed - just swung by), but greeter, manager, and all the kitchen folks were incredibly courteous. Decor - top notch. They just renovated last year, no wonder.

This is IT for ramen! I cannot express my love and adoration for this place. Not only is it a cool vibe (casual with some epic flair), it also has some of the best ramen I’ve consumed. If I could eat here everyday I would. The staff is also awesome! I need you all to come here so they stay open forever - that’s how much I love it! They’re great for vegetarians, vegans, and meat eaters alike. I promise, you won’t be disappointed!

The food and ambiance were amazing here. Great food for a reasonable price. Food also was fresh and came fast. The service was polite and kind, just a bit slow. That could have just been a random occurrence though, and the restaurant is worth it.

The environment was amazing and my ramen was delicious as well i ordered extra fish cakes 🍥 on mine. And also tried the garlic wings which would recommend especially if you into a sweet type of garlic sauce. Waitresses were all very nice and they were also playing adventure time by the bar section. Also took a look at the drink menu which did catch my eye definitely want to go back and try a few.

This was my first time having authentic Ramen and it was so delicious! I would highly recommend anyone in town to try this place. I would recommend the Tanaka classic.

No frills ramen and zensai. Decent, filling, but not worth going out of the way for. Very consistent in flavor and what you would expect. They had a fun selection of sake and their house sake was mild and easy. Great for a cold Chicago evening.
