Tang Sui Heng (Banthat Thong Road)

"This iconic family-run shop has been packed with locals for more than 50 years. These days, the family’s second generation runs it, but the founder’s talent for cooking dishes like the signature claypot stewed duck with intestines, blood jelly, and feet clearly runs in the family." - Michelin Inspector

Simple yet delicious! I ordered Egg Noodle with Duck (no soup). I loved it and I had a second portion. You can order with or without soup. You can also specify the portion size as well. I ordered M size, but I think it's not enough for me. Moreover the price is very cheap! Highly recommended!

An absolute blast! 🤌🏻 👏🏻👏🏻Delicious food, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Great price that was easy on the wallet. Was there on a weekday Pm for lunch. Not so crowded. Ordered the claypot (medium) size - loads of duck meat. For those more adventurous, do try the duck curdled blood, intestines and gizzard. You only live once 😁💪🏻

We recently had the pleasure of dining at a renowned Michelin-starred duck restaurant, and it truly exceeded expectations. Among the highlights was the clay pot assorted duck, featuring a variety of duck parts. We also ordered the duck tongue, and blood. The dish was simply exquisite. The duck meat was incredibly tender, cooked to perfection with a subtle infusion of flavors that highlighted the quality of the ingredients. A particular surprise was the duck blood—soft, delicate, and rich in flavor, standing out as a unique delight. Though I couldn’t easily distinguish between the pig blood and duck blood, the duck blood’s texture and taste were a standout, adding an intriguing element to the dish. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that the meal felt satisfying without being overwhelming. The pricing, especially for a Michelin-starred establishment, was surprisingly reasonable, offering fantastic value for the quality of food and service. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to experience an exceptional duck-focused meal. The combination of expertly prepared dishes, reasonable pricing, and Michelin-star prestige makes it a must-visit for food lovers.

Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant selling braised duck. This humble dish hails from Shantou China, where an overwhelming portion of Thai Chinese’s ancestors migrated from. But over the years, the taste and preference have changed and the Thai version now is somewhat milder in herbal taste and heavier in terms of garlic and the chilli sauce spicier. Arrived at 11.30am and the restaurant was almost full. Ordered the mixed claypot braised duck (here you get everything) for 400 baht. A bit pricey. And a bowl of flat rice noodles (Kway Teow) in soup. By the time I was served, restaurant was full, a good mix of locals and Singapore/Malaysian tourist. A queue was already forming outside. Duck meat was tender and I like the savoury sweet braised taste. And really a lot of ingredients here. You have offals like liver, gizzard, intestines, duck blood, wing, feet web and Chinese Kale (Kailan). I managed to finish the entire Claypot and the noodles which is testament to how good the meal was. No doubt in my mind about their Michelin nod. But it left no room for dessert which was a shame because the Chulalongkorn food street has a bevy of wonderful dessert shops. Must come back.

I can’t believe this place is so underrated! The duck noodles were delicious, we had to go for seconds! We also ordered the duck hotpot and the duck was very tender. We didn’t even have to queue and were seated immediately! Best meal of our trip and we visited a few other Michelin guide places. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Duck noodles/rices. I recommend ordering the hot pot to eat with noodles or rice, the soup will be more intense than in normal noodles. Don’t forget to mix your own dipping sauce for it. If you’re to order noodles, I recommend ordering egg noodles (home made).

This place just gets better and better. Never fails to impress me how well they cook their meat, and the delicious homemade sauces which are paired perfectly with the dishes. The sliced duck is a must, and great value for money. Clean homely food and even fresh noodles served with the dishes. You’ll have a ducking great time stopping here ✌🏻

So, the clay pot duck is WOW, meat is tender, pot is hot, broth on the bottom is to die for and with a side of rice, the two pair beautifully. Skip the duck noodle soup, widely overrated and genuinely nothing special. Again meat was good but the soup was nothing special.
