"Popular Chinatown dim sum hotspot Tang’s Garden Restaurant is temporarily closed for remodeling at 1826 S. Canal Street. There’s no word when they’ll be back, as no one’s answering the phone at the restaurant." - Ashok Selvam

"Just a few minutes away from Chinatown sits this under-the-radar spot. The spacious banquet-style dining room plays host to the usual dim sum choices as well as some more unique bites, such as blood pudding congee and pork intestines. An added bonus: Unlike other similar restaurants in the neighborhood, Tang’s has its own parking lot." - Jeffy Mai

This restaurant looks nice but the food wasn’t good. They gave us old mixed veggies at first, it was black and bitter so they took it back. Peking duck wasn’t good either, some rolls didn’t have any duck skin at all, thats not even 1/3 of a whole duck 🙄. Other dishes are ok.

To be honest, I was a bit surprised at how good the food was. It's a pretty unassuming place on the outside and I didn't expect much. I enjoyed the mango beef (forget the actual name) and thought the lobster was well prepared as well. The traditional dessert of tofu custard aka "tofu flower" was also a pleasant ending to the meal.

Visit China without leaving magnificent Chicago. This place is the real deal which caters to the Asian palate. If you are not faint of heart and have a taste for fried Chicken feet.Pigeon soup,Fresh turtle in casserole or soup,Sautéed frog,Goat,Ducks tongue.Pig intestines, this is the place to go. I honestly had only chicken feet which took me back to the old country and were good. There are also many other Americanized Chinese inspired dishes on the menu. When you walk in there are water tanks with live eel, turtles and other fish.Tugs at the heart strings. Food quality good.Service average.Pricing inexpensive.Parking convenient.Decor filled with beautiful chandeliers AWARDED 2 YUMS ON A SCALE OF 3

Great for very large parties, every table is a 10 top. Tried a few dishes, everything was pretty good.

One of the greatest dim sum locations nearby in Chinatown. Somewhat parking accessible and a delightful crowd and pleasant environment. The service is excellent.

We went for Thanksgiving since my family is not traditional and it was a very pleasant experience. The staff was friendly and was able to accommodate our large party 9f 15. Parking is available right on the side. The food was good and the menu is quite extensive. Since we showed up at different times the food did not all come out at the same time, however there was enough to share and no one went hungry waiting to eat. Like I said, had a great time and would go back again.
