Tanqueray's Bar & Grille

Went here because I first went to this Philly Steak place who recommended to go here as it'll be more fun. I had 2 beers and ran into Brianna who's good friends with the the waitress and was making pickle martinis, I got great tips and recommendations from Brianna which worked out perfectly. The atmosphere was amazing, I had 2 beers 7 dollar each which seems normal prices. The atmosphere was amazing, people seemed to know eachother and they were super relaxed and chill. Later the band started and more people started coming in, this is when I had to go as I had a massive jet-lag. I would definately come back. Also the main-man, mister barkeeper was also amazing and nice.

Great under ground spot to check out service is usually speedy and they have live music every night I've been. Smoking is allowed. Small tables and a bar a few games and bathrooms. I like to come here for some shots in between my night and then head to a club after.

Tanqueray’s made me feel like a College Freshman again and living in this rat race we call life it wasn’t a bad thing. It’s an underground bar with daily live music and some reasonably price drink specials. It’s a cozy basement party kind of atmosphere where the lights are dim. If you look at my photos and videos everything inside is pretty much dark. There was one problem I had and it didn’t affect my review because I knew ahead of time...smoking is allowed in this establishment. It wasn’t bad at first but the later it got the more I began to worry about the 2nd hand smoke and that was about an hour before closing, and honestly if the band didn’t take a break, I probably wouldn’t have noticed the smoke, the band was that good. I’m going to be honest we walked out of there smelling like we smoked 20 packs of cigarettes but we walked out feeling happy and hungry on the hunt for food...just like those fun old college days.

i am a high school teacher and one of my students was seen going into the bar. This girl is 16 years old. I asked who let her in and she said security. I immediately walked to security to ask what his name was. He said his name was Matt. Security should take better precautions before letting people enter.

The bartender should not be complaining about tips to customers. My friend ordered an $3 canned beer and didn’t tip and the lady cursed towards him about it. Then the next night we came back and my friend ordered the same thing and tipped. a dollar; which is an 33% tip. The lady then proceeded to tell me that my friend “obviously hasn’t learned about tipping his bartenders.” after he had left. Overall ruined the experience for my friend who has expressed his wanting to not return for the foreseeable future. Otherwise place is good.

Great live music acts every single night of the week. Good place for drinks and smokers. This place allows smoking inside still. So, if you don't like smoke this might not the right place. They have happy hour special Monday through Friday 50% off your tab. 5pm till 8pm Always great service and friendly faces.

Old Fashioned was meh. Music, amazing (O’Gilvie Trio).
