I absolutely love love love TAO. The Astmophere, Design, Food, Ambiance! The Black Pepper Chicken.. Orange Chicken.. Lettuce Wraps... Delicious 😋 😋 😋. The middle section is cool for a Date Night, won't disappoint. The only one negative... The portion is not equal the $$$. Otherwise! Enjoy Enjoy!

I like light food, so it was good for me. Upper floor serves drinks, lower floor has a big dining area. The decoration was crazily unique, giving you a classical, but a bit evil in a charming aesthetic. I especially loved the flower light seeming like a lily in the valley shape. It was a charismatic location to have an amazing night, and do not forget dream Hotel, OMG lane to Highlight grill. They all belong to the same group. A super smart group gathering all its business in the same area. Wow

Love this place. The lounge area is great to hangout and grab drinks while waiting for a dining table. The whole restaurant has an upscale feel but the prices are actually really reasonable. Service is great. The whole staff and crew are incredibly polite and communicative.

If you are in Hollywood and want to go glam this is your spot. Food is delicious and spectacular, the scene is very cool and service outstanding. We had the steak, Black Sea bass skewers, assorted sushi and many Taotinis. Close the night with the delicious desserts, and specially the giant fortune cookies and the gold leaf ice cream. Unforgettable.

Good ambience and great service. The Thai lettuce wrap was a bit too salty but flavorful. Love the Shanghai fried rice and sweet and spicy shrimp. Definitely recommend if you haven't been there.

It was the best dinner experience I have had in a long time. Not often the whole meal is super delicious and if you ever come here, make SURE to eat their dessert!! Honestly the best desserts I’ve ever had. Wow 10/10😍

Hey everyone, I just returned from an incredible dining experience at TAO and I couldn't wait to share my thoughts with all of you. Being in the mood for some delicious Asian cuisine, I decided to make reservations at TAO, a stunning restaurant that had come highly recommended. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and led to my table by an exceptional host. The waitstaff exuded elegance and professionalism, making me feel like I was part of a scene from a movie. The atmosphere at TAO was simply breathtaking. The decor and ambience of the restaurant created a sophisticated and inviting space, perfect for a memorable dining experience. As I perused the menu, I was impressed by the variety of options available, each one more enticing than the last. When the food arrived, I was blown away by the presentation and the flavors. Every dish was a masterpiece, showcasing the chef's skill and creativity. The drinks were expertly crafted, complementing the meal perfectly, and the dessert was the perfect sweet ending to an already incredible dining experience. Overall, I cannot speak highly enough of TAO. Every aspect of my visit, from the service to the food to the ambience, was top-notch. It's safe to say that TAO has earned a spot in my list of top 10 favorite restaurants in Los Angeles, and I cannot wait to return for another culinary journey. A wonderful evening! The team was very good, the food was excellent and came fast. You must order the Tuna Pringles! The drink was strong and we like it.

First ever Yelp review. Everything was excellent except our waitress Alexah. Not too friendly and when check came, she took it upon herself to add a 20% tip on the machine. Was there a couple days before and left 25% to friendly waiter. Other that that, everything great.

First time here and it was a great experience. I tend to keep an open mind when trying new things but I personally like this place. Let's get into it. Food: Great options, your sides are for the table so be mindful of how much your order because it's a lot. The menu is great and provides many different options. 1) Black Pepper Chile Chicken was amazing and had so much flavor. Prepared perfectly that night. 2) Albacore Poke Tacos comes in 3 and they are small but packed with flavor. These bad boys are good. 3) Crispy Orange Chucken was probably my least favorite. I mean it was just your standard orange chicken. I had better almost everywhere else. 4) Thai Sweet and Spicy Shrimp was banging and had so much flavor. They are generous with the shrimp too. Love it. 5) Beef Mongolian - Okay this was by far the show stopper. This entree was hands down so so good and was my favorite. It was cooked just right and get so much. 6) Vegetable Fried Rice, and Pad Thai Noodles, wete our table sides and they both hit the spot. It was so good and the presentation was amazing. You'll love it. Atmosphere: This place is really amazing and the views of the restaurant and how much they out into it made the atmosphere epic. It has a classy but chill vibe to it. The seating arrangements are incredible and makes the restaurant stand out from any other place. Love this place and will be back. Staff: The staff was so polite from the valet to the front desk to the waiters that check on you. The staff was great and very good at what they do. I love that multiple waiters can tend to your table. It made things easy to make requests and get serve. Great job team! Price: Okay so, the price is on the higher end but if you factor in all the amazing experiences you get plus the food is great and portion sizes don't disappoint its all worth it. No complaints! Location: 6421 Selma Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90028 ITS A GREAT LOCATION. TIP: 1) Parking is scarce and it's probably best to valet. It's only $20. 2) they say there's a dress code but you can wear whatever you want. I saw people at a table wearing Christmas ugly sweaters with Pj pants. 95% of the guests wear dress nice.

If you like to have a peaceful dinner. Thia is the place. Not too loud. Or probably I am just lucky. I visited 5pm. Right at the opening. They were full but I still hear my own voice on top of the music and people talking. The place is too dark for me. But that is their setting. Selection of food is okay. Not overwhelming because the choices are very few which works for me They have small tables for 2 people. I didn't like the seating for party of 2 because they are too close to the table of the next party. I can literally smell the breath of the guy next to me and I lost my appetite right away. This can be fixed. No privacy and space. I will come back to try more from the menu. For now I haven't tasted anything special. I was looking forward to the lobster fried rice but was nothing special for $38. It is just rice with small pieces of lobster and the kimchi is not necessary. It ruined the taste in my opinion. I thought something spoiled was in it but I used my flash light and I saw napa cabbage. I guess social media pictures are really over the top. Parking is Valet only $20. Great service and experience.

My partner and I visited Tao for our anniversary and it was amazing! We were completely stunned by the view from our seats, the cool and elegant ambiance, and the delicious sushi. We started off with mocktails that were very refreshing and light. The yellowtail sashimi is a must! The jalapeño adds the perfect kick to the palette. The spicy tuna crispy rice was perfectly crispy and tasty. My partner orders tuna crispy rice everywhere we go and he really loved it from Tao! As for the rolls, we ordered the chef's roll, double tuna, yellowtail, and rainbow roll. Definitely recommend ordering the yellowtail and chef's roll! They were our favorite! We do wish the sushi was a little fresher, but it was still very good. The service was also good. Our waiter wished us a happy anniversary and was welcoming, but we did feel a little rushed. Overall, a very extravagant and amazing place to celebrate milestones and have a great time! The music was definitely a vibe and this was such a great club dining experience!

I didn't really know what to expect because I was only familiar with the club in Vegas. But I ended up having a great work dinner here. Coming in off the streets of Hollywood, you would never guess this place was so incredible spacious and ornate inside! Our server was fantastic and very helpful with making recommendations for the table. This was especially helpful since everything was served family style. If you get 1 thing on this menu it should be the tuna pringles. They are delicious and I highly doubt you will find this anywhere else!

Made reservations for a birthday dinner on a Wednesday night. The area was still very busy so we chose to do valet parking for $20. The inside of the restaurant was SO nice. Very dark and vibey. Their menu offered a decent selection to choose from. We ended up getting the duck fried rice (8/10), miso black cod (10/10) so soft and flavorful, chef sushi roll (9/10) fish was super fresh and thick! For dessert we got the mandarin and it was my favorite! It was so pretty and looked like a real orange. The mousse inside tasted just like a mandarin orange. The servers were friendly, but not super attentive. Otherwise this definitely would've been a 5/5 experience!

What a vibe!!! Felt like a rockstar sitting at the Tables upstairs w the view, the music and the delicious food and cool ambiance Felt like I was clubbing and fine dining just the vibe I needed!!!! Love it and great service too! Drinks were strong - great espresso martini!

Food: Pricey but delicious lol. Really enjoyed the Lobster Wontons with mushroom cream sauce, the dim sum dumplings with caviar (forgot the name), and Peking Duck was worth the money. Ambiance: grandiose in scale. Vegas-esque decor. Semi-casual to classy attire depending on the occasion and your party. Wheelchair friendly. There's an elevator that takes you down to the ground floor. Service: Attentive friendly staff We took the WAV Uber to get here since finding street parking is limited.

The best part about Tao was the decor as the restaurant had a gorgeous interior with everything from the bathrooms to the bar being photo worthy. They even had a photo area on the right side of the dining area which was nice. When we got seated, although there were empty seats they put us next to the kitchen so we asked to move which our waiter was very helpful about. We waited about 20ish minutes for our food and it was a bit funny because only after ordering were we made aware they no longer had certain drinks in stock so we had to redo our order. The appetizers were delicious and honestly I liked them better than any of the main dishes we tried. When it got to the main course, the food was fine but a little cold. My friend waited over half an hour for his sushi after we all finished our food and when we asked, the waiter had forgotten to put the ticket in. Other than the look of the restaurant, the food/service is okay and you're mostly paying for the ambience.

Get a reservation and take a special someone here for a real treat. This is by far, one of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles for decor and lighting. If you are in neighborhood and don't have reservation, don't fear, you can still go into the bar/cushy lobby area where you can order food and drink and gaze at the stunning work of art that is TAO. Oh, did I mention that the lava cake is a dream in your mouth...

I took my Mother here for Mother's Day some months ago and LOVED IT. Excellent and attentive service. Got a really good booth/table seat and didn't even need to be a celebrity. This place is EXPENSIVE, but it is WORTH it. The atmosphere is cozy but refined. The wait staff is very attentive. I say that because two of my party members had severe allergies to certain ingredients and the staff went above and beyond to make sure that they ordered safely. I had the lobster pad Thai and it was AMAZING. My boyfriend had the cod fish (and I got a bite) and it was EQUALLY amazing. My Mother really enjoyed it, which is saying a lot because she can be picky with her food--lol. Total came to over $400 with a party of 4. We had main dishes and appetizers, no dessert. Well worth it.

We had a nice dinner here before an event at Dolby. Made a reservation for a Friday evening. They won't seat you until the entire party is there but the bar is right next to the reception area so no hardship waiting for your table to be complete. I will say that the entry to Tao is quite something. It's pretty... yes. But if you're coming before it's full dark outside, prepare yourself for a jarring step into near-total darkness. It's a lot and quite disorienting. This is especially worrisome because Tao is oddly designed and you need to walk down a lot of variously spaced steps to reach the dining area. It's a really stunning room but it feels like a bunch of lawsuits just waiting to happen. Be careful! Drinks are pretty, tasty and expensive. I had a $20 Mai Tai which was OK. My friend ordered They are offering a summer prix fixe menu, which she decided to try. It comes with a set menu from which you choose an appetizer, entree and dessert. At $68, it's a good deal and you don't have to order it for the entire table. She had the egg roll, the Kung Pao chicken and the molten chocolate cake. Well, she ordered the chocolate cake but I think our server spaced a bit and didn't seem to realize that it takes 5-10 minutes to cook, so we needed to leave and couldn't wait for it. Our server was apologetic but timing the meal probably could have been a bit better. I ordered several small plates with the idea that we would share. The chicken goyza was served with a chili garlic sauce and was good, but more spicy than you might be expecting. The sui mai was also good and fresh. The lobster wontons are in a broth and while they're OK, I wouldn't get those again... many more interesting options on the menu. It was $200 for 2 people with a few cocktails, so that's not terrible. I would go back and order a bit differently. Note that parking is awful in this area so there is valet and you'll need to use it.

Food was amazing! Too bad they are small portions. Had the Hot Edamame, Pringle chips, beef mangolian, spicy tuna tartar on crispy rice, veggie fried rice and pork/shrimp dumplings. Two things I highly recommend are the Mongolian beef and the Pringle chips, might need to get two orders of the Pringle chips. Service was great and the ambiance couldn't get any better, especially with the type of music they had(90's rnb)

Since I was in the area, I decided to try TAO again since my last couple experiences were just okay, but at least the service was fine. That all changed on this visit. For this visit, I decided to go with the crispy orange chicken and the molten chocolate cake as a treat, but to-go, ordered on their site. I was there a little close to 6p to pick this up at the front area. Out of habit, I always check my bag to make sure everything is included, as I've had a lot of mishaps in the past (not here, but in general). Bag was missing both sets of utensils, so I went back to the host stand to ask. There were two ladies (blonde hostess in black and African-American in business casual, possible manager) and one Hispanic/Asian guy (food runner?) who was chatting with the ladies. He turns abruptly, seemingly annoyed I was interrupting the conversation he was having and asks, "are they not in there?", his tone was almost accusing me of lying. "No, I just checked the bag, neither of the two requested was in there," and was about to open it back up to prove this, but then he was off. Waited for a few minutes when he finally returned, but with only one set when I had clearly said two, but he didn't seem the type to listen or take requests clearly so I just left. At this point, the $15 cash tip I had in my pocket was going to remain there. I'm sorry you didn't do your job correctly the first time; there was no need for the attitude due to your mistake. Next thing was the portion size, shown in the photo. This was $37 worth of their food, which is absolutely unacceptable. I've been there, and obviously have seen much larger portions, so this was pathetic. You can actually count how many pieces are there which shouldn't be the case. Was it as good as last time? I have to admit yes, and so was the cake which lends the one star since you cannot leave zero. Beautiful establishment, but horrible service and terrible portion sizing. I suppose it's better when you're dining on-site, but I'm not sure I want to return so soon to find out.

Super great experience at TAO! The ambience is very unique and it definitely elevated my dining experience. My favorite items were the Tuna Pringles and the Filet Mignon "Tokyo" style. I recommend coming with a couple people so you can share items and try more things !

First timer. It was OKAYYY. Everything was overpriced and overwhelming. I had no idea it was a flex to dine here. I came for work and just wanted to test this place out. It was very pretty and packed, sure. But... over hyped for sure. I could go to a regular Asian restaurant and the food would taste 3x better and 3x cheaper. But nothing bad to say it. Maybe I'm just too poor to enjoy this place this restaurant. Lol. You can dress up for the occasion and the ambiance, have a few good photo ops.

We had tried two other restaurants in the area and they were fully booked and so was this place, but luckily they had some openings in their bar. Would love to come back here to celebrate an occasion and actually sit in their dining room. The food was incredible. We had the pad Dumplings, chicken satay, Seabass satay and a salad off of their small bites menu which was pretty large. Everything was absolutely amazing including the lychee martini my husband ordered me. Our server was incredibly kind and efficient. Would definitely come back and 100% recommend! The only thing I will say is his place is very expensive for the three of us. We spent $167 and I didn't know this since I'm not from the area but gratuity was included which is fine just not familiar with that practice on a party of three.

The vibe and design of this place were fantastic, but I was less than impressed with the service and food. I asked my server plenty of questions. Omakase menu, what's in the dish, and our server didn't know much at all. So, I ended up ordering food that I didn't appreciate. The omakase was basic sushi, undressed. Omakase mean's chef's choice and instead it was basic sushimi. I would not order omakase from here or any sushi after that experience. They made it look pretty with dry ice decor but not worth the $110 price tag. We also got the yellowtail app and my colleague enjoyed it. I thought the sauce was too thick. My colleague ordered Chinese and I would only stick with that in the future. You can get a lot more for $110 with multiple Chinese dishes. We also ordered drinks and it was fairly basic for the champagne drink I ordered. I feel that the menu made it seem more extravagant than it was. I wish I had a better server and experience. The servers should really be trained to speak about the food and drinks too. Major miss.

Tao Asian Bistro is a growing chain of upscale, club-restaurant hybrids across the United States. The same group owns Hakkasan and is similar to Buddha-Bar seen in Europe and the Middle East. This is my second Tao location; the one in Chicago is almost identical. Tao Los Angeles offers delicious, appropriately priced Asian Food in a glitzy environment. Compared to other restaurants in its class, Tao offers great food, great service, a fantastic ambiance, and good value. On group of four came on a Tuesday evening; I began with the Year of the Rabbit ($21) a gin-sake cocktail with lemon and ginger. This was refreshing and delicious. This was followed by the steamed gyoza ($32 for 8) which were excellent, rich, and with a great sauce. The Crispy Rice and Tuna ($50 for 12) was excellent, with rich tuna atop a lightly fried rice cube. The Chef's Roll ($26) and Double Blue Fin Tuna Roll ($27) were both light and delicious. Following was the Tuna Pringles ($32 for 4), a signature of Tao and one of the two highlights of the evening. These consisted of light, succulent sashimi atop atop a crisp chip with truffle aioli and tomato. The Black Pepper Chicken ($36) was excellent and rich, yet not heavy, the Chow Fun ($24) somewhat bland and unremarkable, and the BBQ Duck Rice ($26) similarly unexciting. Not all can be winners, I suppose. We finished with the second highlight: a giant fortune cookie ($24) which was a crisp, flavorful almond cookie filled with rich chocolate and vanilla custard and adorned with fruit. Included were several paper "fortunes". These were somewhat provocative, and perhaps better served within cookies late in the evening, when the restaurant transforms into a nightclub. Our server Alexah was knowledgeable, attentive, and helpful. She gave appropriate recommendations and took good care of us. The big draw to Tao is its aesthetic, which straddles between fine restaurant and upscale club. It is slightly dim, the music not too loud, and adorned with modern Asian paintings and sculptures including the large multi-armed goddess you've seen in photos. Like the other Tao locations, Tao Los Angeles makes excellent use of elevation, with tables placed across multiple levels, with a bottom floor, upper floor, and several middle tiers on steps. The value was very reasonable for Hollywood. Expect to pay around $80-100 per person, depending on drinks, not including tip, which I feel is reasonable for great food and excellent vibes. Did Lao Tzu design Tao Los Angeles? Certainly not. I daresay this restaurant could not be any further from a life of simplicity, balance, and harmony with nature. Yet, the modern Angeleno gave up this long ago, and that's fine. Trade the simplicity for the showy. Surrender balance for beauty. Check Tao out - you won't be disappointed. An excellent place for a date night or special occasion. This place is expensive, but has 10/10 ambiance. The space is absolutely beautiful and the music is always on point. Food and drinks are incredible. Get the Chilean Sea Bass skewers and the Lychee Martini.

We came here to celebrate my daughter's 26th birthday with the family. This is our first time dining in here and the ambience looks amazing. It's not too loud. It's not too bright, but it's just right. The decor is also fantastic and interesting. Food it's really good. The fillet Tokyo style is the favorite Although I don't eat meat, but I am glad that they all like it. The Bronzino was a little bit salty for me, but it was tasty. The highlight of the night was the dessert platter. It was amazing and we would dine in just to order the dessert platter. We think our waiter who is really kind and very helpful with all our request.

One of five Taos I've visited. I have to say the bar area and more specifically, the bartenders at this location are fantastic!! Justin is a great mixologist!! Tuna was fresh and all other dishes we tried were excellent! We will be back, soon!

I must start by saying the service was phenomenal! From the parking staff to the hostess to the weight staff, everything was on point our servers name our server Bianca was nothing but top notch. Now, getting to the food, we had pork and shrimp, shumai, string beans, red snapper Hong Kong noodles. Everything was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. Oh, and let me not forget the beer. It was some of the best beer I've ever had. It was called Hitoshino red rice ale simply brilliant. They served us in courses so we didn't feel rushed. Everything came out in a timely manner. This experience was worth every penny. If you are in the LA vicinity, do yourself a favor make a reservation!

My daughter originally had reservations at the sister company Lavo . I drove to drop off a cake and flowers to my daughter and to my surprise Lavo was closed . :( what could have been a devastating experience for my daughter and her friends on her 22 birthday ended up being quite the success. The person I spoke to on the phone told us Lavo had a leak issue and if my daughter was interested they could squeeze her into Tao. The group was accommodated and ended up with a few perks as well ! Thank you for making her twenty second memorable!

An amazing night here! They did see us about 15 minutes after our reservation time but other than that, the food came out so quickly and our server Niki was so amazing and pleasant. Such a cool vibe here and we all had an amazing time. The food was absolutely a 10 out of 10 I never complain here. I got the tuna Pringles, which are absolutely tasty and the chicken lollipops really surprised me. They had so much great flavor and texture.

This place is sooooo beautiful inside. Took my grandma and parents here for dinner. It's quite dark so have your guest bring their reading glasses if need to as my parents had a hard time seeing/ reading the menu. The staff was so sweet and supportive. My grandma has a walker so the staff let us take the elevator to get to our seats. Food was decent. None of the plates really gave me the wow factor but so much on the menu to try so would def come back to explore more options. The fortune cookie dessert is a pretty neat /creative idea. Parking: Valet + Street/ Metered Parking.

I was excited to celebrate my birthday dinner at the restaurant everyone raves about. To my dismay, when approaching the host, I was met with eye contact to the people *behind* me. I had been waiting about 5 minutes as one host helped the group in front of me, then continued on the business's device. I practiced my patience even as she walked away with no greeting at all. The hostess to her right continued on her device, then asked the people behind me how she can help them. I had to move outside of my comfort zone and ask if she could service me first, as I have been waiting about 5 to 6 minutes to no greeting- at the least. What a poor first point of contact that made me rethink my plans and reservations centered around this restaurant. My server and all other staff were very friendly and polite. The lo mein and lobster fried rice were the star of the show, all else was mediocre. The ambiance was amazing and I would love to return and try the rest of their menu. Hopefully their front desk service improves as I felt it was racially motivated. What a shame as a large amount of patrons were people of color.

It was my second time here and I was satisfied both times. Definitely recommend making a reservation before going as it can get busy especially on weekends. Drinks - tried lychee martini, mango chili martini, and bubbles & berries and all of them were amazing. They put enough alcohol :) Spicy tuna tartare on crispy rice - love this appetizer. It comes with many pieces Shrimp har gow - I liked how it containd a big piece of shrimp inside Satay of chilean sea bass - must to order! So delicious Druken pad thai - a great dish to share as it is pretty big in portion. Not as sweet as pad thai at thai restraurant which I liked BBQ duck fried rice - another great dish to share. Pairs well with all of their other dishes Steamed bok choy - a little disappointing. Wish the leaves were separated. Would definitely recommend ordering for family style as there are so many menus to try and all the plates were meant to be shared. Ambience is great and serve was wonderful!

I wish I could say we had a great experience, but it was one of the worst dining nights we've ever had. We spent over $350 for two people and still left a 20% tip, even though it was a miserable night. First off, we arrived on time for our reservation, but they made us wait 20 minutes even though it wasn't busy at all. Once seated, we ordered appetizers, but they never came. After 40 minutes of waiting, our entrées arrived, leaving us confused. The server tried to cover it up, claiming the appetizer machine "broke" and then said he would "fire" it now. Meanwhile, our table was already overcrowded with food. As a solution, he offered us...a Coke? Seriously, that felt like a slap in the face. We had already finished our entrées, still no appetizers in sight, and he finally insisted on bringing them out. After waiting over 20 minutes, the tuna and crispy rice finally arrived, but they were so salty we couldn't even finish them. The server's attitude the entire time was just awful, and to top it off, he didn't being there bill our a female server brought the bill out. The entire dinner took three hours when it should've been an hour at most. To make things worse, the valet tried to rip us off at the end, telling us they only accept $5, $10, or $20 bills for tips--no singles allowed! We had planned to tip $3 but were told we had to leave $5, which is ridiculous since the car was parked across the street. Overall, the service was horrendous, and the food wasn't worth the wait or price. We won't be coming back.

Food here is horrible! I ordered the sushi and wow was I impressed of how bad it tasted. I'm not picky but when the sushi offered packaged in the grocery store taste much better than the sushi offered here especially when they are charging $35 than that's a problem.

Absolutely had the best time here. The DJ was on it with the music and the food exceeded my expectations. Despite our big party, the server was nothing but helpful and patient! Can't wait to return!

This was my first time visiting Tao for a celebration of my and a friend's birthday. The vibe is phenomenal and I just felt transported to another place. When I go back, I want to sit on one of the stair landings. We were a large group and shared a lot of the dishes. I loved everything I ordered, some dishes more than others. The olive leaf fried rice was fresh and super flavorful. The cod was soft, flaky and full of delicious flavor. The edamame was fresh but nothing special really (same with the vegetable egg rolls). The Brussels sprouts were really good, better than I expected. The service was excellent and they were quick to help us with everything we needed. Everyone enjoyed their experience and we will definitely be back. Oh! The music was on point!

Super lux restaurant and bar. Valet $20 Beautiful decor. It is really dark and intimate. Our server was good. Reservations are necessary but you may need to wait even with reservation. There is a lounge area while you wait. The food was really great! Sushi was fresh and the snapper was deliciously spicy. Lots of steps so wear a comfortable shoe or at least a heel that won't slip lol

Came here to celebrate some birthdays and loved it! The service was impeccable and the food was delicious and fresh. The lighting and decorations really made the place feel like you are a part of something special.

I decided to surprise my husband with a birthday dinner to Tao. We made reservations via open table for 9:15. We arrived at 9-ish, took advantage of the $15 validated valet, and were seated about 10 minutes after arrival. I also brought a birthday cake along, which they will cut and serve for you - FREE OF CHARGE! My husband loves sushi. So, he ordered the chef's special. We decided on the chicken satay skewers for an appetizer and split the lobster fried rice. The star of the show was definitely the lobster fried rice (100000/10). But the other items were good too. Our waitperson was extremely attentive and I can certainly say that was the best service we've ever received in LA. The loss of a star had absolutely nothing to do with our dining experience but everything to do with the valet. They were extremely busy when we arrived and equally busy when we were leaving. It took longer to get our car than to get our table. After a nice meal, we were ready to hop in our cars and just go home - but the valet had other plans.

First off, the ambience of this place was gorgeous. It's dark and moody with an Asian appreciation. It doesn't get much cooler architecturally. Definitely a cool spot for a date or for some Instagram worthy pictures. We started with the Chilean, Seabass, satay, the bamboo, steamed vegetable dumplings, And the miso soup. The miso soup was interesting, as there were clams in it, which was unusual to me. Not bad, but a little distracting for my taste. The Chilean Seabass satay was awesome. The fish was so delicate and buttery and simply gorgeous. It's a shame they only give you two but it's definitely worth trying. The dumpling were pretty good. They were not what I was expecting per se, but everybody was quite pleased with them. They were not dense, but the ginger scallion sauce is a must. It really awakens that dish. We also shared the Hong Kong fried noodles, and the Cantonese cauliflower. The Hong Kong fried noodles were awesome, incredible. There was so much flavor, a huge portion enough to share among three people, and it was loaded with so many goodies. There was egg, pork, and an array of vegetables. It is such a complete and delicious dish. I highly recommend this one. The Cantonese cauliflower was also impressive. Better than I initially thought and the sweet-and-sour sauce it comes with is the perfect accompaniment. Absolutely delicious. Art server was a young guy, super helpful and bubbly. Everything about this experience was awesome and I will 100% be coming back in the future. We all split the bill, I think it was probably 150 in total divided amongst us. Definitely worth giving a try and it leaves and impression for sure.

Moody, expensive, decadent... just like my ex wife! Arguably one of my most favorite dining experiences, fabulous service, and intriguing selections. Very slutty on the tastebuds. Try it with a 6'6 car salesman for best results.

I've gone to every TAO in the USA. This restaurant will always be in my top 10 honestly top 5 for customer service and ambiance and flavorful food craft drinks and just cleanliness. I came here a few days ago . From the moment I checked into the moment I left the service was just phenomenal. They were a little behind on a few things and they apologized and let us know that they were behind, but made sure we were taken care of. Our cups were never empty. We got clean plates and utensils with every course. The waitstaff smile on their faces. my favorite thing about how is how everyone always works as a team at TAO anyways now onto the food. Seabass Literally melted in my mouth how delicious it was. The duck fried rice was so good. I ordered some to go. The bluefin tuna sushi can I say Yum ! I swear if the Ozympic wasn't trying to kill me, I would have another one! The lobster dumplings ! OMG. Pure O-Gasm in my mouth oh my Gosh can I say that on yelp? The Buddha chocolates are my favorite. They were so good! The lychee martinis can I have two more please ! Vanilla bean ice cream, a lovely touch, to end our meal! They do validate parking it gives you about five dollars off. The DJ always plays the right music! I know that when I go to town, I'm going to know every song playing and all of the words because they play nothing but the hits! The energy in TAO ! I always feel like a VIP! I 100% recommend to anyone.

The ambiance in this place gave me so much life I felt like I was in a scene from rush hour but no this place's food, customer service, and dining were lovely. The music that was played also made things even better. This is a lovely place to go with friends and family, are even for a girl's night out It is a little pricey but hey you get what you pay for.

Tao is always a solid option for good Asian food. The place is absolutely beautiful. They are always consistent with most of the food items. We had a real good time last night. The service was good. The food was good and the setting was amazing.
