I recently visited Tap 42, and while the atmosphere was lively and fun, I couldn’t help but notice a few major drawbacks compared to other locations. First, the pricing is significantly higher than what you’d typically find at other Tap 42 spots. Everything on the menu felt overpriced, with limited options to choose from. Unlike other locations, this one didn’t seem to have a well rounded drink menu, which was a bit disappointing. The food portions were also noticeably smaller, making the high prices even harder to justify. The only standout dish for me was the calamari tower delicious and well executed, but unfortunately, one good dish isn’t enough to make up for the overall experience. That said, the atmosphere is great, and the drinks were enjoyable, but be prepared to spend at least $100 or more for a full dining experience. If you’re looking for a fun night out and don’t mind the steep prices, it’s worth a visit. Otherwise, you might find better value elsewhere.

The atmosphere definitely delivers if you’re seated outside—it vibes with the other Aventura mall hotspots. Inside feels more like a standard bar with nothing special in the ambiance. The beer menu is solid, but they were out of the Wynwood wheat beer I ordered, which was a letdown. On the plus side, Jordan, our server, was great—friendly and attentive throughout. As for the food, it didn’t leave much of an impression. I had the Truffle Filet Steak Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries, which was pretty average. The strawberries on the tres leches tasted thawed. The cocktails—Strawberry Paloma and Mule on Tap—were decent. Prison Pals on draft was the highlight of the drinks. Overall, it’s a decent stop for drinks and people-watching outside, but not a go-to spot for food or a unique indoor experience.

I visited Tap 42 Craft Kitchen & Bar twice while in the area for a business conference because it was conveniently within walking distance. The food was undeniably delicious. I ordered the Prohibition Burger with fries on both visits, and my family enjoyed a mix of burgers, salads, and sides. The dishes were consistently solid and satisfying. Unfortunately, the service was a letdown both times. On our first visit, our server took so long to greet us and take drink orders that we had to ask another server for assistance. While our assigned server eventually showed up, the delay left a bad impression. The second visit was even worse. Our new server had a poor attitude, rolled his eyes, and made it obvious he didn’t want to be there. It was so unpleasant that upper management intervened, and partway through our meal, a different server started attending to us. The dining area was clean, the bathrooms have dim lighting, and this location gives you a beautiful view over one of Aventura Mall’s entrance. As much as I enjoyed the food, experiences like this make me hesitate to return. The service at this location is inconsistent at best, so don’t be afraid to speak up if you encounter issues.

We’ve had the pleasure of Jonathan as our waiter for our last three visits, and he always makes the experience fantastic! The food is consistently amazing, and we love trying new menu items alongside our favorites. Highly recommend the tuna tartare and the coconut margarita—both are must-tries! This time, I had the salmon zen bowl, and one word: YUM. Can’t wait to come back!

This place is pretty awesome. The food and atmosphere top notch. Swrbice was great! They had vegan options and it was baby friendly! I got the falafel so yummy and the cabbage crunch salad was amaze! Great place to share tapas!

I normally love tap 42 I normally go to the coral gables location but I visited the one in aventura mall today and I am completely unsatisfied.i ordered the prohibition with no LTO, and bacon on the side with regular fries. I asked for my burger to be made medium well, this is definitely not medium well it was so pink look at that gooey piece hanging off of it it was so disgusting I couldn’t even finish it. I also asked for the bacon to be on the side, which the large pieces are but when I lifted the bun there was a small strip of bacon on my burger which gives me the impression they originally cooked it with bacon on and picked it off. Also I asked for regular fries and I got Parmesan fries, I couldn’t finish the fries either I don’t even like Parmesan fries but I tried to eat as much as I could. I probably got charged extra for Parmesean fries and I didn’t even ask for them! I also clicked for the receipt to be printed and I never received it. I’m completely unsatisfied with my meal.

Seriously could not be more delicious!!!! We came to this coast for my birthday and didn’t know where to eat and randomly found this spot and we are so thankful we did!!! The outdoor area was so comfy in the big booths and tons of air flowing even on a hot August evening!!!! Music is great and the atmosphere was awesome! Mike our server was amazing and refilled my tea maybe 5 times without me even asking! The Manager came by and asked how the food was and we said AMAZING! Hands down my favorite chicken tenders I have ever eaten as an adult. The crispy fries, sweet potato fries and prohibition burger were all YUMMY!! Highly recommend this place 100% even if you aren’t at the mall and just staying anywhere near the mall!!!
