Yes I'm back. Do I dare order the Old Fashioned? They got it wrong the first two times and when I actually watched them make it (the last time), I spotted the errors. The server asked if I wanted a water . I said "No. Not it's tap." Get it? Tap?! What a terrible pun ! I'm going for it! I explained my changes to their recipe: (1) 2 ounces of bourbon (not 1 1/2) (2) too much simply syrup (sugar and water ). Just use a little sugar and water (3) DO NOT muddle the fruit, usually an orange and/or cherry . Let's see what it looks like and how it tastes . FINALLY!!! We have a winner! This is perfect ! I like the "MGM" spear. They used Maker's Mark, too, which is a huge plus! The bartender also used 2 large ice cubes to slow up the melting process. I'm impressed! That's very creative and thoughtful. They even gave me extra bitters in a separate glass!!! For $14, this is worth my money and then some. Maker's Mark is a small-batch bourbon whiskey produced in Loretto, Kentucky, by Beam Suntory. It is bottled at 90 U.S. proof (45% alcohol by volume) and sold in squarish bottles sealed with red wax. For my first food item, I'm having the "Big Wedge Salad " made with iceberg lettuce wedge, red onion , smoked bacon , tomatoes , red wine vinaigrette, buttermilk dressing and Everything seasoning. You only need 5 simple ingredients to make this everything bagel seasoning recipe: Sesame seeds - In my opinion, everything bagel seasoning is all about the sesame seeds. Their toasty, nutty flavor plays perfectly off the dried onion, garlic, and salt. A mix of (1) black sesame seeds and (2) white sesame seeds makes this seasoning blend visually striking, but if you can't find both, just one will work here too. (3) Poppy seeds - For crunch! (4) Dried minced garlic and onion - They add lots of garlicky, oniony flavor. (5) Flaky sea salt - I've made everything bagel seasoning with coarse sea salt and kosher salt too, but flaky sea salt is the best by far. Unlike coarse salt, which is aggressively salty in this mix, the flaked sea salt is delightful. It makes the nutty, savory flavor of the other ingredients pop. I've asked for light on the blue cheese crumble. Wow ! What presentation! Tastes great too! This is huge too! They use cloth napkins to wrap the metal utensils , but these are the times I guess. For my next drink, I'm having a Manhattan martini . This is not on the menu, but I like whiskeys and bourbons. A Manhattan is a cocktail made with whiskey, sweet vermouth, and bitters. While rye is the traditional whiskey of choice, other commonly used whiskies include Canadian whisky, bourbon , blended whiskey , and Tennessee whiskey. The Main alcohol is Whisky. Use 2 oz Rye or Canadian whisky, 3/4 oz Sweet red vermouth, Dash Angostura bitters. For Preparation: Stirred over ice , strained into a chilled glass, garnished, and served straight up. It is usually served Straight up; without ice. The standard garnish is a Cherry . This is a just a little different than an Old Fashioned. They used Makers's Mark again, which is five with me! The bartender (Carly) said she knows I like it (per the server Taylor). Yep! You got that right! Wow ! This is good ! Strong and tasty ! This place just got an upgrade ! For my entree, I'm having the "Hall of Fame Burger " (cooked medium) made with English cheddar cheese , bread and butter pickles (God, I loved these), onion and "burger" sauce (?). The origin of bread and butter pickles is attributed to Omar and Cora Fanning, cucumber farmers who started selling sweet and sour pickles in the 1920s Called "Fanning's Bread and Butter Pickles." It is believed the name came by bartering them for staples such as bread and butter. These fries are good! Fresh oil and salty. A huge portion too. There are two hamburger Pattie's stacked on top of each other. This is damn good ! I'm glad I came back!
