Every Miami Restaurant Marcus Samuelsson Visits on ‘No Passport Required’ - Eater Miami

"Photographer Marc Baptiste takes Samuelsson to Tap Tap, a beloved restaurant and cultural institution, for a full Haitian spread. They start with accra, breaded malanga fingers, and griot, fried pork topped with pickled vegetables. Afterwards, they move onto dishes like grilled fish prepared with salt and a mixed vegetable stew." - Julia Shapiro

Tasting of the Caribbean! The service is outstanding, friendly attentive staff. We had pork chunks, creole shrimp, goat, the mix rice and dessert... Everything was delicious!!! Definitely a come back and worth exploring!

My first time there and it will be my last. It was 9:30pm and restaurant close at 11pm and they already run out of food. So I didn't have any choice but to order what they had left. The food picture with this review cost be about $20. 4 plantains and 8 meats for $20, I was shocked with the price. Unbelievable price at the place, still can't believe they change that much for that small bowl of food.

The food is excellent! Authentic Hatian Cuisine!A little more pricey than most Hatian restaurants in Miami, but its definitely worth it. Griot, stewed chicken, legim, and Shrimp Kreyol are all excellent!!!! And make sure you get the rum punch!

This was my first time trying Hatian food. We only stumbled upon the place as we were walking by and just happened to look up and into the restaurant. There is not much curb appear or signage to attract customers. I had the Oxtail Stew with rice and peas and it was absolutely delicious. The wait staff, although scarce at times, were nice and shared good conversation. I would definitely go back when in Miami.

Tap tap is awesome. This is where I tried Haitian food for the first time and now I am obsessed. It has so much character, which is refreshing for Miami Beach and the quality is awesome. Every time I'm in here it's usually one lady working hard but they are all so kind and on point. Haven't had a bad meal ever and you can't go wrong with the griyo

I loved it! The music... Great! The food.. Amazing!! The waitress... Awesome personality! Honestly from the outside, looks like a dump, but never judge a book by its cover!! You'll be surprised!

Best place I ate in Miami. It’s a Haitian restaurant with amazing meals and great prices. The bartender Karyn was the best! Super nice, funny and friendly. I definitely recommend this spot!!!

The food was absolutely delicious! However you pay for the south beach premium, the ambiance was great, it was bright and welcoming!
