Taqueria al Pastor

I stopped in just for the tacos — and that’s all you really need to know. The al pastor taco is the star of the show: perfectly seasoned pork shaved right off the trompo, topped with pineapple, fresh onions, and cilantro, all wrapped in a handmade nixtamal tortilla that holds everything together like it was meant to. It’s not the cheapest taco in NYC (around $5.75 each), but the quality backs up the price. The meat was juicy, not greasy, and the sweetness from the pineapple balanced the richness of the pork. Flavor-wise, it’s easily a 9 out of 10. Didn’t try the burritos or other menu items, but the taco game here is strong. If you’re into real-deal tacos that remind you of a Mexico City street cart, this is worth the trip. Would definitely go back — especially to try a few more while they’re hot off the trompo.

We wanted to try this place for the longest. The wait was worth it!! The food was actually really good. They took a little while because they were busy. The quesadilla was incredible the salsas were not spicy; that would be my only complaint. Besides that, great!!! Everyone was friendly and food was incredible!!

Pretty good tacos. The pollo asado and carne asada were my favorites. I liked them more than the pastor burrito. Fantastic horchata too!

Best Tacos in Brooklyn ! Always fresh made to order, try the nopales they’re grilled perfectly. The pastor is also really good and tender. Even tortillas made in house very good place !!!

been here twice already & greattt customer service .. he put guac on my first chicken taco & made a new and served me with no problem ! great cashier . Nice spot to grab a quick bite

This five star review is because the Al pastor tacos are in matched in New York. They have the best ones! And do yourself a favor and get the Al pastor burrito or quesadilla—it’s a ton a food for the price.

Delicious tacos. Have loved their other location and excited to have one in Ridgewood in such a convenient location. Highly recommend the pork and tamarindo agua fresca

Clean establishment, very friendly & welcoming staff members! :D amazing food even a lil cold, I couldn’t wait when I got home to re heat it, it smelled so good on the walk home and then comes the soaked napkin I almost tried eating thinking it was extra tortilla!! They are so delicious and I will definitely be coming back. Not to mention the free drink that for my first time having was so refreshing! I never tried the dark purple flavor before (I can’t remember the name💔) 10/10 Birria+ consomé <3 thank you!!!
