7 Great Tortas In Seattle - Seattle - The Infatuation

"If there was ever an episode where Ms. Frizzle resigned as a teacher and turned The Magic School Bus into a taco truck, we’re pretty sure it would look something like Taqueria El Asadero. They operate out of an old bus on Rainier near Columbia City, always have a line of people during lunch hour, and serve one hell of a torta on a toasted roll. If you’re planning to eat right away, you should absolutely order yours with the falling-apart birria - which could be the star of an episode where Ms. Frizzle explains the science behind how the juicy meat dissolves toasted bread. However, go for carnitas (which has excellent crispy skin) if you’re driving back home and/or have enough self-control to not devour this thing immediately." - carlo mantuano

The Best Things Infatuation Seattle Ate This Year - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Tortas are one of my favorite foods to eat at home in sweatpants. When I was researching for a guide to some of the best in the city, the one I tried from Taqueria El Asadero, a Mexican spot on Rainier that operates out of an old school bus, really stuck with me. Specifically, their torta with birria. The juicy meat has flavorful drippings that soak into the toasted roll so quickly that I couldn’t help but eat the entire thing right away in the car. I have El Asadero and their delicious torta to thank for my new takeout mindset—why the hell should I wait to get home if I can eat a phenomenal meal in my car? Especially if I’m already wearing sweatpants?" - carlo mantuano, aimee rizzo

Taqueria El Asadero - Review - Mount Baker - Seattle - The Infatuation

"If there was ever an episode of The Magic School Bus where Ms. Frizzle resigned as a teacher and turned her set of wheels into a taco truck, we’re pretty sure it would look something like Taqueria El Asadero. They operate out of an old school bus on Rainier where Mt. Baker meets Columbia City, always have a line of people during lunchtime, and serve one hell of a torta. If you’re planning to eat right away, you should absolutely order your sandwich filled with tender birria. It makes us wish Ms. Frizzle were real (instead of an animated fictional character) so that she could explain the science behind how juicy meat dissolves toasted bread. Go for the carnitas with excellent crispy skin if you’re heading back home and/or have enough self-control to not devour this thing immediately. Though this is a taco truck, we enjoy the tortas, mulitas, and burritos a bit better than the tacos themselves—they don’t come with as much meat as we’d like, and we find them to be a bit small. But even so, they’re only around $2, and the rest of the menu follows suit: hardly anything is over $10. That makes this spot one of our favorite options for a lower-priced lunch or dinner. Food Rundown Tortas Some of the best in Seattle. Both the birria and carnitas are fantastic meat choices. photo credit: Nate Watters" - Carlo Mantuano

3 Places to Try in Seattle This Weekend | Eater Seattle

"A low-key bus-based taqueria on Rainier Ave S between Mount Baker and Columbia City that serves some of the city's best tacos and burritos — monster Burrito Macho (smothered in cheese), carnitas torta, and great tripe, tongue, and beef cheek tacos — with benches under an awning for braving the cold." - Megan Hill

The food is really good and inexpensive similar to fast food restaurant. The service is also good especially the night employees are all nice.

My standards may be unreasonable as I just came from Texas but these tacos didn't impress me. The meat struck me as a touch too oily, there were just some pieces of onions and a hint of cilantro. Not even a lime wedge! I dont want to have to add things to food I buy out of the house and these were a little boring. Customer service was good though, we may try some other dish here in the future.

You eat out in the open under a tent. I only have the tacos and that were very good. Nice little place and reasonable.

Legit. Best menudo I’ve had in seattle. Pricy for what it is, but whatever… hungover boy is happy.

I know that sometimes reviews can be misleading, but here they are just not good enough. Had here some of the best tacos ever. Tasted authentic, and priced well. There are few things that need to happen for good tacos, ingredients, tortilla need to be fresh, and they need to know how to mix them all and get the best result. This what you will get at Taqueria El Asadero. 5 stars all in.

I've been going to Taqueria El Asadero for over 12 years. During that time, I've tried several other taco trucks, and recently, there's been a few opening up on Rainier Avenue, which I did try. While these have good food, they don't come close to El Asadero's delicious food. They don't even compare. I've tried many of their dishes over the years which all have been so good with great quality. The birria burrito, though, is my all time favorite. The only criticism I had in the past was the amount of fat in the birria (which never stopped me from ordering it). Though, in the last year or two, I've noticed that has changed. I'm rarely picking fat out of the meat. So, if you are looking for a Taco truck with the most delicious food and outstanding customer service, I highly recommend you go to El Asadero. You won't regret it.

This is my favorite taco truck (bus?) in town. Tacos are super cheap and the meat is always flavorful. It gets a little cramped inside the bus when ordering during peak hour, but they usually open the ordering window when it gets warmer outside. Ask for extra green sauce!

Google
PLEASE TELL ME HOW THIS IS BURRITO COST ME 17.00$ DOLLARS!! I saw the reviews in Google thinking this place was good so I try them out and it was a disappointment, all I asked for was for a burrito with only meat, cilantro, onion and cheese and all I got was a sad empty tortia stuff with onion and cheese and a hint of meat. I didn't think much of it when they charged me so much thinking it was for the extra meat but that was not the case. DONT GO TO AN OVER PRICE PLACES!
