Quiet mom and pop mexican restaurant serving just breakfast and lunch. Everything's homemade. I've tried the burritos and spanish omelets. Both were amazing and full of flavor. Drive-thru and cash only. There might be a tiny wait but the food is delicious and well worth it!

Fabulous food! "Hole in the wall" is accurate, but you don't go to a taqueria (Mexican fast food) necessarily for the atmosphere--it's about the food! I visited Waco from Wisconsin, and went here based on its 4.6 star rating. I agree with 4.6! I had the Oso Enchiladas (pork with green sauce). Excellent! Their tortillas are hand-made. No chips and salsa, but food is "muy sabor"!

This place is awesome. Finally real Mexican food. Their chorizo is very good, so are their salsas. Their burritos are huge and delicious!

The oso burrito is my go to! Food is flavorful. Service is quick and employees friendly. I can honestly say that this is the best burrito in Waco!

No. But the woman at the window was so friendly and helpful and the prices were very reasonable for the size you get. I might need to try more things on their menu to give an updated review.

I'd probably give them 3.5 stars. We knew ahead of time it was drive-thru and cash only, so that wasn't a problem at all for us. Checking in on yelp got us free chips and salsa. The chips were warm, but neither was anything particularly special. The sign said the plates came with rice and beans, so that's what I was expecting, but just got the 2 pupusas with the slaw. It was good, but I felt like I'd actually like cilantro and onions better with it. My husband got the gorditas, and he felt like lettuce and tomato would have been good on it. It could use a fresh element and some crunch. I tried the barbacoa and though it was delicious. I wish I'd ordered a barbacoa taco. He liked the beef and potato best. I'm glad we stopped, but if I went again we'd probably order different items.

Hands down the best breakfast taco place in Waco. We come here at least once a week now. The tortillas are so tasty and homemade, and the green sauce is perfect. The ladies are always so sweet, and working hard to get through the line as fast as they can, which we don't mind because it's worth the wait! And you seriously cannot beat these

The breakfast tacos are amazing! Must get chorizo, potato, cheese, and egg! The green salsa is spicy but such a hit!! Service is really good and they do accept card but cash is preferred. I think it's drive thru only.

I was visiting the Dallas/Waco area for Labor Day weekend and wanted some delicious tacos. I found this spot and Yelp and it was only a couple miles away from where I was at the time so my friend and I headed over. There was quite the line of cars to order. Which let me know the tacos were gonna be delicious. One sister took our order from the truck window and she had the best personality. Her recommendations were spot on. We had the al pastor and asada tacos on corn tortillas. I forgot to order mine without cilantro. When we got to the window to pay, the other sister greeted us with the best smile and made sure that I didn't have cilantro on my tacos. The tacos were exactly what I expected. DELICIOUS!!! Highly recommend!

Fabulous! Just a tiny taco restaurant with a drive through and tiny prices making the BEST TACOS EVER! With veggie options I tried the San Francisco and my husband the traditional. The guacamole that we ordered in the side was just made, chunky and delicious. Both tacos were quite large, amazingly wonderful with the freshest, warm, light and fantastic tortilla, just the right amount of beans, cheese and fixings and á sneaking spice in the salsa to top it all off. Wish I had room for the Soy chorizo. Always a great sign of a good kitchen... the tiny bathroom was very clean. The staff were very friendly and delightful. I felt like they were sharing their home. Score another one for Yelp!

visiting from california and this meal felt like the breakfasts my abuelita would make for us. cash only drive thru but we were thanked right away for waiting in line. probably won't be back to waco anytime soon so i'll be thinking about these breakfast tacos/burritos for a long time.

Found this place on Yelp and as usual... the Yelpers did not disappoint. We got our free chips and salsa from checking in with no problem. A nice gentleman brought them out right away. I didn't catch his name but he was very kind and helpful the whole time. My mom ordered the papusas and I ordered the spicy green enchiladas. The one bite of papusa I had was good, but in all honesty, I couldn't taste much because of the spice from my enchiladas. It's not a complaint... but they are not for the faint of heart! The green salsa was a little too spicy for me. The red salsa was excellent. Loved the chips... nice and salty. The tortillas are fresh and homemade as well. This place is quite the gem!

The place is small, about 8 tables. There was a steady stream of takeout and drive thru customers. If you are in the mood for great tacos, this is your place.

Located just off of HWY 77 near the circle, this Taqueria is my favorite in town. Their tacos are to die for! Make sure you remember to bring cash and swing in for just a pit stop; They are a drive thru only.

This is my favorite place to go when I'm craving breakfasts burritos, especially since it's primarily a drive-thru. Each person I've interacted with at the window warms my heart every time. Their lunch menu is equally awesome. They do take card, but you know a place is BANGIN' when they prefer cash only.

Menu is on the wall by the cash register. $.50 extra charge for credit card purchases. The woman behind the counter is very matter of fact and not so friendly, get your order straight and get on your way. We ordered chips and salsa and guac. 3 cheese pupusas, 3 red enchiladas. Green bottle is the hot, red is the mild salsa. The salsa verde has some heat to it. The guac is super creamy but tastes decent. The cashier brought out our guac and made sure I wanted cheese on top of my enchiladas. She warmed up as we waited for our food and was quite attentive. The salsa isn't bad, both the red and green. They will bring out more chips if needed as long as you order the chips and guac. The 3 chicken tacos, 3 cheese pupusas and 3 soyrizo Red enchiladas was $24.86. This small spot is deceptively good. We enjoyed everything and their quesadilla was so much bigger than we thought. The soyrizo red enchiladas were so yummy and the chicken tacos were tasty too. Good spot for some authentic Mexican or pupusas. Doesn't look like much from the outside and inside but the flavors and food are well worth the visit.

I'm a local resident, but never made it here to eat due to the 7-2 open hours. I had the opportunity with some time off to stop for breakfast. I had the Southwest Omelette with the chile verde pork. The ingredients are so fresh, and it's obvious that everything is handmade. Definitely another gem around Waco.

Didn't get to try it, so I can't rate the food. Saw the cash only sign when I pulled up, didn't have any, went and got some, came back, walked up to the door only to find the Dining area was closed. Drive through only. I didn't want to eat in my car. So they didn't get my money today. A business really shouldn't make it so difficult to give them ones business. Maybe some other time.

OMG DELICIOUS Came through and was hungry as heck. Let me tell ya. I found this place through YELP. THANK GOOD FOR YELP. I seen it had very good ratings. So I knew it was gonna be a great experience. The building is small. But had a decent amount of seating area. We just missed the lunch rush cause we came in about 1:30pm. FYI. This place closes at 2pm. So we just made it on time. Place was clean. Staff was very nice. And made sure we were taken care of. Like family. Love it here. Too bad it's so far away from where I live or I would be a regular for real. Lol. So if you're reading this review. You better stop by and get you some grub. They don't disappoint. Also check in using the Yelp app cause you can score yourself some chips and salsa for free. And they have THE BEST SALSA EVER EVER THAT I HAVE EVER TRIED. And I'm a firm believer. If the salsa is good. Then the food will be too. That is how I know the food will be good when I eat at a Mexican restaurant. Try it. You'll see what I'm talking about

If you are near Waco area for any events, you must stop by and eat at taqueria el crucero. I found this restaurant thanks to yelp and i am dissapointed at all. When i eat here, i always felt eating homemade food made by my best friend mom at his house. It is that amazing... I cannot recommend this place enough. 6 stars for Taqueria el crucero!

I have been looking everywhere for an authentic Mexican food joint and I finally found it! Im from McAllen, Texas so I know what authentic is. I ate the Campesino Burrito with Chorizo and it was amazing! The size was great and the green salsa was outstanding.

The food has always been great in the past, but they only accept cash right now so I drove all the way there for nothing. Hopefully they will go back to accepting other forms of payment in the future.

Overrated, favor there but the tortitas....that has to go. I tasted microwave or slightly cooked. Had the rice on was Gushi... pleasing to the eyes. Over all super clean small friendly spot.

If you want a Mexican lunch spot with authentic food, large portions, and a friendly staff come here. It's my second night in this state and I've quickly learned the best places aren't on a map or the main strip. My advice to you, come here for a late breakfast/early lunch, about 10:30/11 because in the early morning it's packed. Park the car and walk in, there is a semi large menu with solid choices. I'm a burrito person myself but the people inside the small dining room which is only 8 tables didn't steer me wrong. Whether you want a classic or something with a south of the border with a twist. This is the place to be for lunch or breakfast. On a note get the green and red salsa, try both before you leave.

Oh my g!! The beef tacos is so good melts in your mouth like the flavors are exploding. The best taco I had in years.. Definitely 5 stars keep it up

So we drive to Waco to check out the new Magnolia Table thing.... two hour wait for table then prob wait another hour to get food so we check out the trusty Yelp Machine and we end up here. POW!!!! Taste Explosion!!!! Don't drive across the country to feed the hgtv machine only... support local businesses and local families who are doing it right. This place is legit!

Best Mexican food in Waco? Without a doubt. Best ANY food in Waco? Probably! Breakfast or lunch, you won't be disappointed. The breakfast burritos are the best you can buy north of Austin, packed with ingredients and made fresh to order. And lunch? I've tried about everything on the menu and have yet to have a bite I don't like. Dynamite tacos, enchiladas, pupusas, asada, burritos... EVERYTHING is good. Their green sauce is also my all-time favorite: it's HOT and complements both the breakfast burritos and lunch plates well. On top of the delicious food, the staff are the friendliest folks in town and will take good care of you. Stop reading reviews and try it yourself. You'll be back for more!

Here on vacation after taking a job in Utah nearly 2 years ago. Literally the best good I've had in so long! I got 3 chorizo & egg breakfast tacos & the wife ordered 2 bacon, egg, & cheese tacos. The tortillas are fresh and the tacos were hot and amazing. Awesome service too. Two thumbs way up!!!
