An anchor of KCK’s vibrant taco corner, serving suadero tacos, tortas, and late-night plates. Covered by the Kansas City Star and KCUR during the city’s 2025 policy shift, it remains a community hub for real-deal Mexican street fare.

First time and last time eating here!! Very disappointing!! Paid 12$ for a burrito, that was worth about 6$. Fell apart before I could finish and cut in half so fell apart twice. They wrap burritos at Taco Bell better than this dude did!!

The Taqueria Hernandez food truck was in the parking lot of El Mercudo Fresco(new grocery on 40hwy & Blue Ridge)June 1st. The food was good. My issue with them is they don't post their prices at all. I ordered Nachos and 2 tacos it cost $18. This was more than I usually pay anywhere. To not post your prices is bad business and unprofessional. Again, the food was good the tacos were seasoned well and good salsa. I doubt I'll eat there again unless they change this practice. People want to know what they are paying for.

Food is always excellent. I ate here two times in a week and I live a bit away. I wish they had outdoor seating so that I could sit and eat my tacos while they are sizzling hot. El Pastor is 🔥 every time!

I like the hours of operation. It's convenient for late nite bite. Most people swing by after the clubs/bar hours.

I thought I'd give this place a try I brought four burritos and a quesadilla and they were all $10 a piece They charged me $55.58. They were typical burritos in quesadilla nothing fancy they were ok but not for the price. I guess taxes and a dollar charge for using my card won't be coming back! Price should be more like $7 to $8 not $10

Perfect spot to come and get a late night bite! Conveniently located 7 minutes from downtown Kansas City so the first choice option to satisfy those after-concert late night munchies. Friendly faces and very fast service! They also give out buzzers so no more waiting in the cold! Just take it to your car and wait for your buzzer to let you know your food is done! Definitely recommend!

This was very good! We've been looking for a truck that's open late with good food! The only problem I had was being unable to hear the lady taking the orders because of the generator nearby. And I'm so short too! I do NOT reach the window at all! 😆

"You should go try out the food at this spot, on the corner of 18 and Central!" is what I use to tell people. Don't know what happen, either they got greedy because of the small fame they are getting and forgot that the people around the area is the reason for their success or switched Chefs but food doesn't taste the same anymore. Example 2 Burritos carne asada and.2 tacos = $23 Some would say, "that's not too bad" right?? Its bad if the food comes oily, a lil too salty and burritos are no longer the same size...they are smaller with less meat with extra lettuce to make up on the thickness. Getting home and and realize they got your order wrong...AGAIN! I counted how many times they got order wrong...3 TIMES!! in one WeeK ! ! ! Posted some photos to show you what I'm talking about. I'm no longer going there. Don't go unless it's the only taco truck open for the night...It's not worth it, especially now. It use to be all about Quality not Quantity. Sorry but I needed to vent my frustration.
