Place is clean. Salsa is good flavored but wet and thin. Queso was also good as well as the chips, crispy and easily breakable. Ordered the beef & chicken fajitas. Not a fan of whatever liquid they cooked them in. I would have preferred them without that. The beans and rice were good as well. Overall the waitstaff was good and accommodated adding cheese to the top of the fajitas. Rated service a 3 because they do charge an extra fee for non cash. I don't frequent places that have a special line item for things that should be built in to the price. I probably would've gone back to try another dish but the credit card charge ruined that.

Google
This is my 2nd time here, and I love it. The place is clean with great decor and the music is not loud and can definitely have a normal conversation. The food is 100% Mexican and everything I've ordered is great. Kudos on the milky melon drink. It's A++

Google
Recommend shrimp cocktail, in honest opinion for the ribeye is not cook properly and way to thin like chuck meat. Other then than pretty ok.

Chelsi De Clerck

Google
Good food, but every time I go and ask if my meal is gluten free, I am told different things. So a little wary of trying again, because I do not want to get sick. Drinks are good,& service is good

Google
This place is soooo good! Every menu item we have ordered for breakfast or lunch has been top notch! Must ask for Irma every time! She is very sweet and always happy. 😁 Menu favorites: Chorizo Queso for appetizer, Mexico Fajitas for lunch, Mama's French Toast for breakfast. Peach Lemeonade for drink,😉 maybe with a shot of vodka added.

Virgill Mouton

Google
Very flavorful food, fajita meat tender, quick service. My new favorite Mexican restaurant!

Google
Decent Mexican cuisine. Good drinks. Expensive for Texas being a Taqueria.

Google
The food was absolutely delicious!!! Our server deserves 10 stars. I didn't catch his name but OMG he was awesome. I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
From the prompt service, to the hospitality, Jalisco is a solid place to eat. The full bar doesn't hurt either. Great bloody Mary's and cantaritos. I just got a basic steak burrito with all the fixings. Got a side of that Birria consommé for dipping and wow. That didn't suck. This is a great spot for some decently authentic Mexican food if you're indecisive about where to go.

Tania C.

Yelp
Delicious food!! We love to eat there!! Queso and salsa is great too! Friendly servers and sucha clean restaurant! So festive!

Rachel M.

Yelp
BAD FOOD AND WORSE SERVICE. The waitress got my order wrong and still charged me when I asked to send it back. Tell me how that makes sense.

M L.

Yelp
Friendly and prompt service, and delicious tacos. The pozole was especially good (and the perfect portion size with all the fixings)!

Luis N Liche D.

Yelp
Took 25 minutes to get 5 bean and cheese and 2 asada tacos with only 4 people in line. They foil 2 tacos together so the tortillas get soggy and stick to each other. While on the tilapia or tortillas, they tasted like white wing packaged tortillas. Absolute trash of a hot sauce. Taco Bell bean burritos would've been a better choice!

Yelp
If you don't like negative reviews with sprinkles of positivity, skip this one. This is not just a food review, but a business review. The green and red sauce you get with about any meal was a 0 out of 10. Bottom line, spicy water. If I'm not clear, it was just gross. Truly never had worse. The drive through menu, almost impossible to read. I pulled up, and the lady was polite and helped me with a menu. I ordered, she gives me my total and it sounds a little high. I get the receipt to sign and give back, and she's gone a long time, so I look it over. I was charged an extra 3.5% for using a credit card. Now this wasn't exactly what I call inexpensive Mexican food. They haven't spent money updating the drive through menu where a person can read it, and the intercom doesn't work....perhaps they need to focus on generating revenue by making customers happy and retaining them with great food? The actual combo meal wasn't bad, it was just all mashed together in a to go container with no sense of how that might affect a "crunchy" taco. The relleno was laid across the enchilada. And most of the red enchilada sauce was in the bottom of the bag. Wish I knew how it really tasted. Thumbs up on the relleno. Taco was just mush from soaking in everything. Enchilada was average I suppose. Back to the credit card. When she returned to get the slip and hand me my food, I asked about the charge, not polite or maybe even legal to add a charge without notifying someone. She said it's printed in the window. I told her I didn't see it. She pointed and I took my sunglasses off. I said, I still can't read it. Maybe glare or whatever from the sun setting, but you could barely tell there was even a tiny piece of paper there, much less read it. So to the owners of this place, absorb the cost of doing business, go cash only, or move on. It's sneaky, it's unnecessary, it's greedy, and I'm telling people to go elsewhere. La Mision is pretty good.

Yelp
Service was amazing! I had a torta de pastor, probably the best pastor I've had in a while. We also got oysters for appetizers and they were very clean!

Yelp
All was good nothing exceptional but a solid 4 for food and service. We like stopping at this location easy in and out.

Yelp
Horrible service! No exaggeration. We call in an order of 7 breakfast tacos (burritos) a lemonade & an order of guacamole & chips. After driving back home I open up the bag to only find 5 tacos. I call back to explain the order was short and was told the two carne guisada with cheese were wrapped in one foil. The tacos were tiny. Went back for a refund and received a note on the receipt from the manager reading "NEVER COME BACK". What a waste of time when your family is hungry in the morning looking for quick service. Sorriest looking tacos. Spend $3 more at Jumburrito. Side comment: Not easy to find authentic in Little old Midland, Texas. I recommend if you go out to eat stick to the chains local to here..like Rosas.

Bianka C.

Yelp
-20/10 do not recommend. Told server our fajitas were burnt & he stated he still had to charge us for the plate since we touched it one piece. He said he couldn't do anything about it so I took the plate to the manager myself & she stated "it's suppose to look like that!" ummm.. absolutely not.

Yelp
Best breakfast tacos! Fast and friendly service and the prices are right. Authentic Mexican cuisine.

Yelp
Food is not great but ok. However the attitude of the employees is the worst. Ordered a large pickup order and when we got home found out we were missing an item. Lady on the phone was very rude and argumentative. I understand things like this happen but she put me on hold a couple of times then insisted that we were wrong. She offered no solution to make it right. She was also rude to my wife when she picked up the order. Ended up getting a refund from door dash. Won't be coming back here again.

Yelp
Excellent every time. Excellent at the restaurant. Excellent at home. I had tried a couple of dishes here and they always exceed my expectations. Tacos, chicken quesadillas, shrimp quesadilla, tamales. Everything is so good and fresh. And they have drive through with very kind service. The only thing they have to improve is their menu. Their menu is the only thing is not appealing When you come to the restaurant is spacious and with clients always.

Yelp
Craving Mexican Food & after yelping, here we are. You can tell the restaurant is a favorite with the locals, lots of cars in the parking lot. We started off with chorizo & queso which was complimented with fresh hot chips. Oh this queso is fantastic & if you don't control your intake will fill you up before your meal arrives. I ordered the tripa taco and asked for soft tripas, I was very pleased. This delicacy is hard to find, much less a fresh as this. The carne guisada with cheese taste was a tad different, but was good. The Plato Tejas overall was ok, same guisada. I will add that the beans popped in your mouth. Yes, overall we would return, here. As a wide variety of beer both domestic & Mexican. Service here is excellent!

Yelp
TL;DR: Delicious, affordable, authentic Mexican cuisine served up in big portions. The fajitas are a particularly great deal in my opinion, but everything on the menu seems to be worth trying. Coming from Houston, I can attest that this place is probably better than 90% of Mexican places I've tried, and better than 100% of places when it comes to price point. I was able to try both the mixed fajitas and the Carne Asada on this visit, and can attest that both were quite good. The mixed fajitas ($14) for one was probably the best deal I've ever seen for fajitas. In Houston, they're extremely over priced; I could easily see the same dish costing upwards of $20, if not much more. The dish comes with loads of chicken, beef, and 3 large shrimp, in addition to a hefty portion of the typical accouterments, including a good amount of guacamole. Though the beef was admittedly a little tough, it was definitely forgivable considering the portion and how well seasoned it was. The carne asada came as 3 pretty large, but very flat slices of what was probably sirloin, amounting to a pretty typical portion of meat, but accompanied by a whole lot of rice, guac, salsa, and tortillas. The beef, being pretty thin, wasn't overly tough or anything, but definitely could have used a harder sear or some more char, in addition to a little more salt. However, it was still an enjoyable dish over all. Service here, too was excellent, especially given how crowded they were during the Sunday lunch that I was there for. I definitely see myself returning in the future to try other parts of their menu; 4 stars.

Yelp
Yummy this was one of the best places I had to eat in this town. I told them to leave off the enchilada But I had a burrito and a taco rice and beans. I hate to say it I could not eat everything on the plate it was great and the glasses of tea were huge. I had great service. And the staff is friendly. I will come back .

Yelp
A friend and I chose this restaurant because: 1. A positive yelp review led us here 2. We were looking for authentic Mexican food 3. We are new to Midland, and had no direction on where to eat. We hit the right spot!!! I had chicken enchiladas.....they were amazing. We also were there at the right time to enjoy $1.99 lime margaritas. My friend got the horchata, and mini tacos. Needless to say, we enjoyed our lunch & will revisit.

Yelp
This place sucks. I thought with 4 stars on here it would be pretty good. Boy was I wrong. Horrible service. Our waiter did not understand English or Spanish. Lol Joke! He came back several times to make sure our order was correct. Then the food was amateur, not good. My homemade rice and beans are way better than that. This place made me miss my homemade Mexican food. The first receipt was $49. Then he comes back with another receipt because he forgot to add our drinks to the original receipt. Then brought back a receipt for $83. We literally sat there for 15-20 minutes waiting for him to bring us the new receipt. For drinks added on. We ordered for 2 adults and 3 kids. They do not have kid sized drinks. They'll bring you a huge drink for your kids $3.50. And charge you for adult drinks for your kids. Go to Rosas! Go to Taco Bell even! Anywhere but here! I will never waste my hard earned money on this place ever again. I want my money back! The only thing that we enjoyed was the drinks. Our waiter was horrible!. Our food was horrible! Just horrible horrible horrible!

Yelp
I really like the food here. I especially like their burritos and a dish called pollo palapa. I like them so much that when we first discovered this place, we ate there 3 times in one week! The service was okay. However the last 2 or 3 times we have gone we have felt like they do not even want to serve us. We have always tipped very well. Today we were seated and no one came to take our order. No chips or salsa. We sat there for 15 minutes and watched other people come in and get seated and served. I felt very discriminated against. The waiter just looked at us and walked on by. My feelings are hurt and the food is just not good enough to go back.

Areli V.

Yelp
So disappointed! Order menudo and asado burrito and both were not good at all. Menudo was 90%broth and flavor less. Asado burrito was just nasty. Can't describe the disappointment :( will definitely not return and Do Not recommend!

Yelp
I LOVE this place!! This is a traditional Mexican place with all the appropriate items on the menu. For me the best way to judge a Mexican restaurant right out of the gate is the salsa. They do not disappoint! Always fresh and always on the spicy side! I've been here about 15 times and I've never had a bad meal. One thing that I really love is that they serve Caldo De Rey's anytime. This is the best soup in the world! I will often get it to go and have a comforting meal later. Able to accommodate large groups and solo eaters with ease, this is a perfect go to for Sunday. And today happens to be Easter.. and guess what... here I am!

Arely G.

Yelp
The customer service was pretty good but the food is a joke. Food here is disgusting to put it mildly, meat is rubbery and bland and everything tastes like it's old. Nothing really looked promising I would highly recommend seeking out other options.

Randy C.

Yelp
This restaurant has become our "go to" Mexican restaurant in Midland. They have a good menu, very friendly servers and their prices are reasonable!

Yelp
By Far the BEST Mexican I've ever eaten! Been all over the US, east to west, South to North and found this place. The queso dip was AMAZING!! Great portions. Family of 5 for less than $100. Great value.

Marlenia H.

Yelp
GOOD mexican food, thirsty Thursdays are the best!! love the Margaritas!! QUESO is really good, I have tried a variety of their dishes and most are hands down delish!!

Manny D.

Yelp
This restaurant right here is the shit I recommend it to anyone.five stars without a doubt best Mexican restaurant in Midland Tx will eat here next time on my trip fo Show!

M S.

Yelp
We went to eat on Sunday about 3pm it was 100 degrees outside. Went inside and no AC on? It was hot humid etc. Food ok, service ok but when we got the bill it shows if you pay by cash it's the exact amount of food costs. If you pay by credit card they add on extra $$ calling it "non cash adjustment". LOL who does this? So the menu shows cash prices only. I think owner cut back on AC to save $$. Won't go there again.

Josh T.

Yelp
Went there after a Dr appt in the same area11:00am with my wife and daughter the hostess was nice and seated up promptly then we waited and waited and waited... more people came in and sat got their drinks ordered and we waited about ten min the walked out. Will never eat there!

Yelp
I've eaten here for years since it opened. Lately it's been not good and orders are not correct. Called in a carry out order. A breakfast burrito with bacon, eggs, cheese and potatoes. Nothing crazy. Picked it up brought it home and it's red chili, cheese and some mystery chunks of I don't know what I could possible be definitely wasn't something I could identify. I love their breakfast burritos but the last few times my orders have been wrong or missing items so this is my last visit. It's very hit and miss with the food but when it's good it's super good so I keep trying. I even tip when for carry outs! Super disappointed Jaliscos

Suzanne B.

Yelp
Picked up takeout for lunch and my husband says that the Jalisco burrito was the best smothered burrito he's had since moving to Midland. The ground beef was well seasoned and the chile gravy put it over the top. I had the Enchiladas Verde. There was a bit of heat in the sauce and I was very pleased to taste seasoning on the chicken. I've had their tortas before and they are very good. 5 stars for this locality owned restaurants.

Yelp
I'll give this place another try... Last week was the first time I went to this restaurant through drive thru, excellent customer service and food result ordered two tortas al pastor, no tomato, one with onion and got exactly that on a super soft bread. DELICIOUS and for a very reasonable cost. Based on the first experience I would have given this place 4 stars. NOT TODAY! Today, instead of doing drive thru I decided to get off and see the interior. Place looks nice for a casual business lunch, etc. Customer service was awful. Both girls looked lost, like I interrupted their conversation. I odered to go: Two tortas al pastor, one with onion and no tomato on both, two tostadas barbacoa...never tried that before (once I got home and tried it...not my favorite at all, stick to al pastor) and a side of chips. The first time they came with beans, loved it, and sour cream, avocado and lettuce. This time they were a mess. No beans or sour cream, they put like half an onion on each, (awful to scrape off) and the chips although warm and toasted had an old plastic smell that was very unappealing. I paid $21 and change. Oh well, right? It is good enough to try again, one last time. Maybe I'll go back to drive thru instead. The thing that frustrated me when I got back home is that they weren't even busy, had 3 customers inside already dining and no one in drive thru and they didn't get my order correct. WTH?
google avatar

Molly T.

Yelp
First of all it's 100 degrees and no AC. Second - the food was disgusting. The fajitas had absolutely no seasoning at all - it wasn't even good after pouring queso and salsa on them, which can usually fix anything. My mom ordered shrimp cocktail and it was spicy ketchup as the sauce. It had two slices of avocado and it was sprinkled with onion and cilantro. My son got a quesadilla with fries and the fries were soggy from grease. The quesadilla cheese wasn't melted. Never again.

Devin C.

Yelp
Staff was friendly and service was great! Fresh food. Queso is delicious with a little kick to it which we prefer! Would definitely recommend and we will be back!

Yelp
I've lived in the area for over a year and I've never stopped at this place before. We decided to give it a try since we were nearby and we were NOT disappointed. The servers were very attentive to all the customers, refills came easy on drinks and salsa, and even the manager went around the tables checking in on all the guests. The food came pretty quick and that's because we ate at lunchtime. The place was packed but we got out food very quickly, and it was hot and fresh. I had the mini taco plate with asada and they were delicious. It reminded me of San Antonio Tex mex flavor. If you know, you know! If you are from south Texas I really think you should come here because it's as close to that flavor as your going to get. Delicious tacos and yummy large sized quesadillas! This is my place for tacos now! Thanks for the good service and food!!!
google avatar

Leith G.

Yelp
This is a great spot for delicious Mexican food. The place was clean and neat and the staff was very friendly and attentive. I got a combo plate and the portions are huge! It was more than I could eat and was very good. Prices were good for the portions you get. This is my go-to Mexican place in Midland.
google avatar

Ruby L.

Yelp
Place has good food and is usually fast but to be seated is what takes long. We went today and were waiting to be seated and a group of women showed up after us and sat at a table that had just become free. We can old them that we were there before them and they responded with "we called our order ahead so they saved us a table." The waiter just told them okay and let them sit. I've never heard of taqueria doing this.

Yelp
Surprisingly legit barbacoa tacos out here! Really fatty, soft, and bursting with flavor. One of the best barbacoa I've ever had. The chips and salsa they give you for free to start the meal are legit as well. The chips are thick and crispy, and seasoned well. The salsa is tomato-ey and very spicy. I tried 3 tacos here - the barbacoa, al pastor, and tripa. Don't order the tripa unless you're already into eating inner animal parts. This is cow stomach and it tastes like it! It had a nice pungent flavor and you could pick whether you wanted it soft of crispy (I went with soft). It was a bit chewy, but was really nicely seasoned. The al pastor was also a bit chewy, but had a great flavor to it. Like I said at the beginning, the barbacoa was by far the best taco - I probably would have gotten 3 of these instead. Each taco was pretty cheap so I was expecting small Mexican style street taco size but they were really big! Great value. I've been here for lunch once before and tried some sort of fajita combo plate but it was extremely forgettable.

Yelp
My family LOVES Taqueria Jalisco. The food is consistently good and a little more authentic than most Mexican restaurants in Midland. Drinks are good, prices are good, location is good, and service is good. We have tried SO many Mexican restaurants in Midland and Taqueria Jalisco is the only one we have returned to.

John W.

Yelp
When the first opened, I had a bad experience and left a negative review. This morning, I revisited and it was a completely different story. The food was very good, as was the service. I highly recommend Tio Pancho's breakfast plate. Sorry I didn't snap a picture but I was starving and forgot. I will be back.
google avatar

Terry B.

Yelp
I got a touch of food poisoning, I spent 3 days in the hospital. The food was good, but by the time I returned to Dallas, I was sicker than a dog. I would not go back for any reason. I had yo give it 1 stars, because I could not select 0 stars. .
google avatar

Summer B.

Yelp
Surprisingly lengthy wait time. Definitely do not go through drive thru, it's a wreck. Good food, but nothing convenient about it. Update: Watered down enchiladas..... I've never seen that before today. no.

Alison R.

Yelp
Their menudo is DISGUSTING! The tripe was brown we ordered two and just ended up throwing them right in the trash!!!
google avatar

Alex L.

Yelp
I had the Carne Asada mini tacos served with Mexican rice and charro beans. This dish was delicious, super flavorful, and came out to the table hot/fresh in a matter of minutes. I highly recommend this dish, and this restaurant. The service and food are great.
google avatar

Franklin P.

Yelp
Being from San Antonio thie place is definately not cheap. This place desereves more like $$$ because a two enchilada plate should not be $10. For these prices you should get hot sauce and chips. In San Antonio an enchilada plate is $5.99. The enchiladas were very good and quality. The tortillas were home made. The carne quisada was tender and flavorfull. The rice was light and tasty. It was worth the extra money. Service could be a little better but was adequate. We enjoyed our meal and for two San Antonians we are picky.
google avatar

Brian M.

Yelp
Great food! Waitress was on point. You know when a Mexican restaurant is authentic when Real Mexicanos eat there was very impressed. I had the lengua tacos and carne asada tacos. I recommend this place highly

Yelp
We love this place!! Wonderful customer service and of course the food is amazing. They have a great breakfast menu too. The Huevos rancheros plate is delish, but my favorite are the breakfast taquitos. I always get Bacon, Egg, & Cheese taquitos on corn tortillas and they are so good. They put a good amount of bacon in the taquitos too. The taquitos are the size of regular breakfast burritos, and the regular breakfast burritos are more jumbo size (so you really get your money's worth)! They also have really good homemade salsas. The salsa verde one is my favorite.

Joey D.

Yelp
I had the 4 mini tacos with rice and beans - about $10! I got fajita chicken and it was great! Good sized portions. Each taco had 2 soft wraps filled with chicken. It was like getting 8 mini tacos! I couldn't finish them all! There are a ton of local Mexican places in Midland. Most are much more expensive, chains, or really bad. Jalisco is my favorite!
