Great street tacos and mixed drinks. Nice patio. For outside tables, orders are placed at a window and they bring the food out. Good (and strong 💪🏻) mango chili margarita.

Really nice courtyard, it was all shaded in the evening so it was nice on a summer night. Food was very good, and margaritas were strong. I ordered at the window and they brought it out to me. Ill definitely be back, just a short walk from the convention center.

What an excellent dinner we just had. The tacos were epic we had to order more. The restaurant itself is so well decorated and the staff are awesome, everything is made in house and tastes awesome.

Really enjoyed this spot. If you are at the Convention Centre make the short walk over. Or if you are sick of the French Quarter head here. The inside is very small but the outside is large and well done. The tacos are just great and the quack is some of the best I have ever had. The margaritas are very good too. Just a nice spot to go.

My husband and I traveled to New orleans from Washington state. We took a stroll and came across this amazing spot! The shrimp tacos were phenomenal!!!! Great margaritas and chill atmosphere.

Authentic and Delicious Mexican Cuisine Tucked away in the warehouse district near the convention center, this charming restaurant offers an inviting atmosphere with the added bonus of a lovely garden patio. We started with queso and salsa with fresh, crisp chips—an idea kickoff with house margaritas rimmed with tajin. Every taco we tried was outstanding: real Gulf shrimp taco, grilled fish taco, cochinita pibil, and poblano pepper taco and chicken quesadilla all delivered on flavor and freshness. The portions were geneous - enough for three people, with leftovers to enjoy later. A true hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Mexican fare.

Best hibiscus margarita I had. Not in New Orleans - anywhere. Go and get one now - so refreshing Tacos are also wonderful. Why is there not a line At the window? ? Stop messing around with fakes and get over here - easy drive and parking from most places.

So it's Tuesday in NOLA in early-mid August; of course I'm on the hunt for tacos. YELP brings me here and I'm excited based on the ratings. Since it's near the Barnett, it's about a 15 minute walk here and upon arriving, I place my order with the bartender for the following: -Shrimp -Nopalitos (Cactus) -El sol (special crispy cheese tortilla) -Chicken Tinga -Cochinta Pibil (Pork) So each taco is about $5 and the El Sol is $6; altogether came to about $35 including tax and tip. While I got them to go, I decided to eat them there since they took some time to make. It smelled amazing but the size of the tacos compared to the price you pay is a straight up rip-off. Not to mention the flavors are decent but do not jump out and smack your taste buds. Really disappointed in what I paid given the taste and size of them. Best one was probably the El Sol with the crispy cheese tortilla. The staff is friendly and it's a cool ambiance with the outdoor garden-like seating and the bar inside. But I don't think I'll be back here given the value. Guess tacos are not something NOLA does right.

Solid three stars for the ambiance, food and service from the woman who brought over our order. Taking off two stars because the prices here absolutely do not match up with the portion sizes. I paid nearly $20 for two carne asada tacos and chips and salsa. The tacos were $5 each and while delicious, were NOT worth $5 each. I actually laughed when they brought the tacos over because you would think they would have included a little more meat for the price. Otherwise, great seating area and music!

Very cool, quant spot in the warehouse district. Ambiance was fantastic. We got a bunch of tacos and chips, salsa, guacamole, and queso. Everything was delicious. one taco that stood out was the El Sol taco. highly recommend. The service was fast and friendly and i would definitely return.

I live nearby and the fish tacos are so good. Possibly my favorite fish taco in the city. I do wish they had some sort of taco Tuesday special or a happy hour but the food is great and the staff is really great.

Decided to try somewhere new Saturday night. We were near the riverwalk and looked up taco places nearby and this one popped up. Parking wasn't the best as it's just street parking, but we parked and had about a 5 min walk. Not too many people for a Saturday night. When we walked in there may have been 2-3 other groups of people. The menu is located outside, as that is where you order your food. Once you order the food you get a table number to take with you. We decided to sit inside which may have about 4-5 tables. The bar had 2 TVs showing football games and they had Christmas music playing which was nice. All of their drinks came in glass bottles, so no refills. I ordered queso and it was your average queso. It was good but it came out warm, not hot like I like it. I ordered the chicken tinga taco and bistec tacos. I really liked the bistec one, but the chicken tinga was just ok in my opinion. I feel like the tacos had a good bit of meat on it, but the 2 with the queso still didn't fill me up. I should've ordered another. My cousin ordered the rice, pollo pibil taco, cochinta pibil taco, and the bistec taco. She said the pollo pibil was her favorite. To me it was an okay taco place with a limited menu.

My friends and I stopped here for an early dinner and we were very satisfied with our first visit. The bartender taking our order was very patient with us and even allowed my companion to change one of his tacos after we already paid. The rest of the staff was very friendly and brought our food directly to our table. They also took care to stop by and clear anything we were done with. The queso was really yummy and I thought the meat inside the tacos (on corn tortillas) was well seasoned. The inside has limited seating but the outdoor patio has ample seating. We will be back!

The ambiance was great and the service was good. There is a small amount of indoor seating and quite a bit of outdoor seating. I'm giving three stars mainly for the food which was okay but not great. The flavors were fine. Very solid margaritas though.

Excellent margaritas made with real fruit juice. Chips and salsa go perfectly with the margaritas. Ordering at the window was quick and easy then any food ordered is delivered to where you are sitting.

Decent taco spot tucked off the road downtown. Every taco I tried was tasty. Guac was fresh and chips fried in house. The margaritas come in all different flavors and they pack a punch. You order at a window and then they bring your food to you! Outside seating is cute after sundown.

It was my turn for date night and my wife likes Mexican so I wanted to try something different. This place is very nice in ambiance with more outdoor seating than inside. You have to order outside and then your food will be delivered. The menu options are limited. Tacos, quesadillas and chips with your choice of salsa, or queso. The bar has tequila and a couple of bourbon options. All of the margaritas are batched made. She was "content" with this option and if this was a quick stopping point to another event it would be a nice little snack. But for dinner, I was disappointed. I hope I still get a kiss later.

We were looking for a quick dinner and this was near our hotel. I normally am not a taco guy but these were amazing tacos. I got one of each of the vegetarian tacos. Each one was $5 which I thought was expensive, but once I got them, it didn't seem overpriced to me. I have nothing but good memories from this restaurant. If I'm every back in NOLA, I will be sure to come back.

Have came more than 5 times now and can say it's our favorite spot for tacos. I love the outdoor seating, the ambiance and great music playlist. They have limited seating indoors just fyi. Their margaritas are top tier mixed with aguas frescas like hibiscus and tamarind to name a few. The gentleman in front is very courteous and answers all our food questions as well as the server. It's always the same lady and she is very nice and polite very attentive. We always get chips and queso and come for their rajas con queso, nopalitos, shrimp tacos, and chicken pibil. We end up with their delicious dessert every time. Tres leches cake, it's very sweet but nothing like I've ever tasted. Definitely recommend! Will be missing this place once we move from NOLA

Ryan has decorated the whole place beautifully for Christmas in addition to the gorgeous decor that is already there. But the food is even better. I love the regular tacos but the El Sol special taco is my new favorite. The chips and guacamole are my favorite in the city. Love this place. I also love the bistec and chicken tinga. Everyone who works there is so nice and it's nice that it's located close to the convention center. Must try if you are in town but especially if you're a local.

This place is an amazing find. The tacos are very reminiscent of nix tacos, which is a Michelin star recommended restaurant in sacramento. Every Taco has amazinng unique flavors. I have the Rajas con cream, mushroom and fish taco. Each one was better than the last. The owner, Ryan and his wife run an amazing place and have an amazing story. Highly recommend coming out and trying this unique food.

Great place to satisfy your taco craving. Great outdoor space to hang out with friends. Tacos, rice and beans were all great. Definitely above average.

Fantastic vegetarian tacos in a town that has limited options. When I say fantastic I really do mean it. You will not go wrong with my advice if you are a vegetarian seeking flavor in NOLA. Started with chips, queso, guac and salsa. Queso and salsa were good. Guac could use improvement but would order again. For tacos, I ordered the cauliflower, poblano and nopales. I'm always skeptical of cauliflower tacos on a menu but was pleasantly surprised as it packed lots of flavor. Poblano and nopales were perfect. Starters came out quickly, however the tacos took a VERY long time for a not so busy day.

I ordered togo. It wasn't worth $5 per taco. Maybe $3.50 at the most. Tacos did not come with enough toppings (onions, cilantro, etc) and they were stingy with the green sauce and limes. Did not give me green sauce and he was hesitant to give me 1 green sauce saying it's on 1 taco. Sir, that slither of green sauce is not going to cut it and for the price I paid, I should have 1 sauce per taco. I only received 1 lime. Food was okay just not worth the price.

Chips, salsa and queso were so good. Tacos were delicious and very reasonably priced. My wife said it was the best margarita she'd ever had. Service was quick and friendly. We sat outside on a very pleasant evening so it was the perfect experience.

Great food! Food portions were generous. Owner was working the tables and keeping everyone happy. Drinks were very good. Margaritas with some unique flavors. All on the rocks but that was okay with me. It is somewhat loud but it is New Orleans.

Fast and pleasant service in their casual and spacious patio. Was served amply filled cochinita, shrimp and redfish tacos, with beer, and sat out on a beautful night. If I come back to NOLA, will be here again.

Absolutely delicious tacos served here. Quick and easy ordering at an outdoor window, but there is seating available both indoors and outdoors. I had the tacos with poblano and corn, they blew my mind! Reasonably priced and very close to the WW2 Museum.

I was looking for some good tacos in New Orleans and found Taqueria La Lucha. It's walking distance from the convention center and WWII museum. Wonderful outdoor eating space, you order at the counter then they bring you the food. It had some great tasting tacos that tasted super authentic. I spoke to the people that worked there and they're from Mexico City (CDMX). The authenticity in the decor and flavors reminded me of some the best tacos you can in CDMX. I had the cauliflower, chicken tinga, and cochinita pibil tacos. To drink I had the tamarindo virgin margarita. They even have a chocoflan for dessert. This place is worth checking out if you're craving authentic tacos in New Orleans. Bonus, supporting a small family business.

Tacos were delish (I tried shrimp and chicken), salsa is amazing (just the right amount of heat), and house margarita was strong and tasty! I sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

Amazing tacos and perfect lunch spot very close walk to the WW2 museum. Food in the museum is just ok, so walk the 1000 yards to get some excellent food. Both the bistec and shrimp tacos were incredible. Salsa and chips were solid. Great flavor in black beans.

We came for California and tried this spot. Let me tell you authentic great tasting food no commercial food here. Service was great and the cook is awesome. As a guy that grew up eating Mexican food their entire life trust me when I say Dammmm good!

We came here after a longgg hot day at the alligator swamp tours and we do not regret picking a place so close to our hotel cos tacos were very good and the drinkss.. wow dont get me started. I ordered the tamarind margarita, and let me tell u.. i dont love margaritas BUT this margarita was SO delicious! Sweet, tangy and just so good ! Our server was so sweet and explained the menu thoroughly! Im a spicy gal so i asked for hot sauce and it was delicious with my tacos ! Place has a beautiful outdoor seating area and it gets packed during dinner hrs. Just a tad bit sad they dont have happy hr cos thatll be awesome!

The court yard is well kept and clean. Perfect outdoor eating spot and the food...SO MUCH FLAVOR. They're also vegetarian friendly :)

I would walk another 20 minutes in this swamp to get these tacos. In New Orleans on a business trip and found this gem. Get here ASAP. Some of the best tacos I've had outside of Cali and maybe ever. Great flavors. I had the pork, beef and poblano. I think the poblano might have been my favorite and the pineapple Serrano margarita might be one of the best I've had. Big outdoor area with about 5 tables inside. Very friendly staff. Order at the window and enjoy, you won't be disappointed.

Let me just start off by saying that I have high expectations coming from LA. The tacos were decent but way overpriced and this is definitely not an authentic place . They didn't even have salsa for the tacos . The beer and margaritas were way overpriced. They didn't even give you complimentary chips and salsa . Save your money and try something else .

In a city of delicious food, don't waste your time here. The bartender was an old guy and quite rude. I was the only person sitting inside at the bar. He seemed like he couldn't be bothered with me. After I ordered my shrimp & fish tacos plus a mango habanero margarita, he took a few orders at the window to the outside. He was really nice to the window customers- chatted, learned their names, joked around. He then put in their order and turned to me and said "what was it you wanted?" I cut my food order in half to one taco. Besides that crap experience, the $13 "Milagro" mango habanero margarita was really bad. The sweet and sour was tart and overwhelming. Didn't taste any mango, habanero or Milagro, only sweet and sour. I left this place wishing I had chili's- they know how to makes Rita's at half the price. On the brightside, the chica who brought me my taco was really sweet, the place was clean and there was a bar a block down on Peter street that had cheap beer and good food so my lunch wasn't a complete bust.

From the environment to the staff to the food and the drinks, this place was amazing!!! I am a self proclaimed foodie and always prefer Mexican/Hispanic food as my #1 choice when traveling. This place blew me away! The margaritas were perfectly made and not oversweetened. The guacamole and salsa were hands down some of the best I've had. And the tacos were out of this world! You won't be disappointed if you choose to dine here.

Best taco I've ever had in my life. Not being hyperbolic, it was legitimately the best. Food took a few to get out, but they were busy and down a person so easily forgiven considering the quality of the food. Also just very kind staff and people.

Oh my god! They were down a staff member and it took forever to order. I think about 45 min. The guy taking orders was doing 3 jobs!! It took another 25 to get our food. Once we had our food, it was good no complaints. I also thought I ordered a side that they forgot about. The server should have just given it to me after making us wait. Came from out of town and made our way over here so we were committed. Not sure I would come back for a while if I lived here.

Food was outstanding!! Atmosphere was fun and music made it feel like vacation! Have to try the hibiscus margaritaServer was so nice and helpful helped us pick out the best meal. The pork and chicken tinja was our favorite.

Fantastic lunch spot! A patio with big fans creating a nice breeze. The space is warm and comfortable. Perfect for happy hour margaritas. The service is at the window. You get in line, place your order, and have a seat. You food comes out to your table quicker. The chips and queso were fantastic. Super light thin crispy chips and a rich cheese sauce. The taco ms were absolutely delicious.

Wow! Absolutely amazing vegetarian tacos and to die for spicy margaritas, what else could you want in life?! They are located in the Central Business District, a short walk from the Higgins Hotel and WWII Museum. All of their dining is outdoor so bring a hat and possibly a fan. The vegetarian tacos are absolutely unforgettable with poblano peppers, onions and corn mixed with a delicious creamy sauce, and only 5$ so you can afford to have as many as you'd like. The Pineapple Serrano margarita is magic on ice. Served with a delicious spicy Tajin rim, this drink had me going back for seconds, thirds, and fourths. Even in the days after my initial dinner here I would stop back by just for one of these spicy margaritas. If there aren't any tables grab some to go, you won't regret it.

The Bistec taco is the greatest taco I have ever had. If you don't think tacos when you think of New Orleans, you clearly haven't been to Taqueria La Lucia.

Great margaritas! The food is good too! I had chicken quesadillas the first night, the second night I had the shrimp quesadillas, both good! The tres laches cake is amazing! All the margaritas are made with fresh fruit, best margarita I've had in a long time! Take the time to make this a stop for dinner.

Having traveled from SoCal, I wasn't planning on having Mexican food in NOLA, but we spent the day at the WWII museum and this place was a close walk. Honestly surprised by the quality and taste of these tacos! Definitely recommend. The black beans were delicious. The rice was good, but probably our least favorite of everything we ordered (chips & guac, chicken tinga taco, cactus taco, steak taco, Mexican rice, and black beans). The service was great, too.
