Nut allergy friendly - the salads have nuts, everything else good! DO NOT USE THE PARKING LOT QR.. there is a 2 hour parking validation at the restaurant. Outdoor seating only. Order at the window, sit down. They've got guest wifi though! Time to Food: 6 Minutes I went looking for somewhere to spend my $25 off $50 inKind credit and applied it easily here, getting a flavored margarita, churros, and 14 tacos. Took a bunch of tacos to go while I was in town for a conference, ate some tacos while there. They're a brick and mortar spot but considering they had my 14 tacos ready in 5-6 minutes, definitely premade meats. And the quality was unfortunately reflecting it. Overall - all of the corn tacos felt a little undercooked, a little too much bite. I only tried the green sauce and honestly couldn't distinguish any flavor notes from it, one of the weaker salsas I've had. Al Pastor (3.5/5): Oily but decent in substance. The flavors were good. Carne Asada (3/5): The meat was a little dry, but the biggest downside was just that there wasn't enough of it. Calabacitas (3/5): Same as the carne asada, just not enough substance to the taco. Flavors were fine. Churro (4.5/5): The redemption of the meal?? They did forget my churro, and it came out warm and delicious. Soft inside, crispy outside - actually an incredible churro here! Margarita (4/5): Stayed frozen, so a well blended margarita. Could've used a little extra flavor for the $2 spent extra. Altogether a nice spot for a fast and decent hangout at a reasonable price (and huge bonus for taking inKind credits), but I've had much better street tacos at their price point from trucks. 4/5 for inKind value, 3/5 without it.

This was a random find, that was absolutely 🔥!! Paid for parking then after realizing that this restaurant validated parking... #Winning Music was playing, you could smell the food from the parking lot... This place is a total vibe! I can imagine this place is popping when the weather cools down a bit. Went to order and asked for recommendations... The Barbacoa Tacos came highly recommended, so I got 2 and I grabbed a Jarritos Mandarin Soda. But he time I found a seat and got settled, here came the food. The tacos looked good and tasted incredible!!! LET'S GOOOO!!! I'll definitely be back and I highly recommend! ⭐

Went for taco Tuesday, 2$ tacos very generous on the meat and very delicious. Margaritas taste home made n strong 10/10. Views are a plus! Definitely come try if you’re in downtown!

Great Authentic Mexican Food in Downtown Dallas! First time in downtown Dallas and I saw their reviews and menu. There is public parking by the resturant and easy to walk to. You order at "la ventana" (window) and find a seat. There are many coverings and it is dog friendly so our little dog got to sit under the table with us. We had the tacos de pastor and carne asada. We also had elote, chips and guacamole. I also tried the aguas frescas: jamica and horchata. Delicious on this warm day. Everyone that I interacted with was very nice and checked in on us. They have different salsas available and you can ask for takin. There are alcoholic beverages too and this would be a fun place with friends in the evening.

I was craving tacos and wanted to switch it up a bit so I tried this place. I’m glad I did because the tacos were bursting with flavor! The only downside is that the barbacoa was way too fatty. The meat I was able to get was tender and flavorful. I also enjoyed the elotes and margarita! The patio was very spacious and had jenga on some of the tables. Perfect setting for a group but also great for singles!

I ain’t no taco expert but they got some juicy beef tongue and beef brisket tacos. Come here on taco Tuesday for $2 tacos Only down side is the dining area is outdoor and there are birds hovering around for your leftovers

Gas smell. There’s a strong gas smell while sitting outside. I was sitting near the wall of it and meso maya and could not eat my food due to it. I can hear it going on and it’s concerning for the patrons health.

Just Yes. Great prices and great street tacos. Marg’s are another must-have. Patio seating only. No restroom.

This is my first time coming to this restaurant! Fantastic food service and experience! The Manager Fernando is on top of it! Don't forget your churros AMAZING!. Definitely coming back. Don't forget to tip our amazing waitress Aminta!

This taco window is 110% LEGIT! Simple menu, mainly focused on street tacos...everything I have had has been fresh and delicious. Love the barbacoa tacos with pico de gallo. Their guacamole is also extremely fresh...in fact nothing is premade. Fast and friendly service - always with smiles - and the prices are very reasonable. Most tacos are under $3 each. Check out this local gem!

oh the poor Americans thinking they are getting authentic Mexican tacos here. Let me start by saying I am a purebred Mexican that has grown up on tacos. i ordered the staples: carne asada, pastor and lena tacos. i also got a side of guacamole to put on my tacos. The tortillas they use are old. they should be using fresh tortillas. these tortillas are probably a week old. the carne asada was dry with no flavor, but it also tasted like it was sitting in a serving bin for way too long and was old. literally tasted like meat they cooked days ago. Pastor taco was even drier. you have to work hard to dry out some pork, but they did. almost chipped a tooth on how dry it was. The lengua taco was the best of the bunch, but still the meat had a texture of the meat sitting too long. the guacamole didn't taste authentic either about the only thing i did enjoy was the cold Mexican coke. This place needs to do better!

Taqueria La Ventana is a small establishment with a walk up window for ordering and outdoor seating area. I came for a mini meal including a shrimp taco, queso, and Jamaica drink. The taco had good flavor but I feel the queso would be better if it was less clumpy. It seemed like it was sitting there for a while. Overall, this was a nice spot to sit back and enjoy a quick bite.

Solid food. But two times in a row I've gone for breakfast and they give me bacon egg and cheese burrito when I ask for chorizo. I'm not that white, damn.

The service was so fast at this location and great for outside seating on a day w good weather. We each got 2 rounds of house frozen margs ($3.75 HH), and 3 tacos each of bistek (2.95) and lengua ($2.95). The margs were a good strong and frozen consistency. The tacos were all made to order and come with lemons/salsa. great place for quality and. cheap street tacos in the downtown area!

Very good lengua street tacos and burritos,marg specials, the guac is pretty good. They have a fun funky patio. Great place for a casual taco and marg. Great service.

Easy | Quick | Tacos Easy - the entire set up is pretty easy going. You pull up to tons of parking. The seating is open self service. The ordering process was super simple via an attendant at the door. Quick - Monica and I went with two friends. The entire order to food coming out took about 7 minutes total. So very expeditious. Overall, I'm huge fan of the set up for a casual lunch or start to date night that is low key. Tacos - I had three chicken tacos, with chips and guacamole and an authentic Mexican orange soda. Overall it was the perfect light lunch

We usually love this place. Tonight we ordered to go and when we got home we were missing $10 worth of tacos. We had walked 25 min to get home and did not have time to come back, so I just expect a refund. When we called to ask for a refund the guy pretended to not speak English and kept saying he know who we were and to come pick them up. I called him out and said I know he can understand me and asked to please refund those items. After a lot of back and forth he eventually said ok he understands and said one moment please. Put the phone down for 5 minutes and then just hung up. It was very condescending the way he spoke to me and I tried to be very polite but he was just quite rude. Management: this guy is here every Friday/Saturday. He is one of your main employees. I know he speaks English and he knows it too. This makes me not want to come back because I know I'm going to see him and it's really uncomfortable the way he treated me. I was going to dispute it with my bank, but decided to just try calling one more time and a lady answered. She was very easy to work with and refunded the order no problem.

Cool vibe. Felt like we were actually in Mexico. There is no table service. You have to go to the counter to order and pick up your order. Food was just okay. All our tacos were cold. Which I did not understand because you have to wait for your order to be made. The taco was cold. The tortilla itself was cold. The meats were cold. It was disappointing. Will i be coming back? Probably not.

Everything was amazing. The food, the service and the experience. Gabby was absolutely amazing! I have an onion allergy and she made sure the food did not have onions in it and even came by to tell me the chicken was cooked in it to make sure that was ok. She was polite, friendly and had the most amazing customer service. Prices were fair and the portions were great. All five of us loved our food and will definitely be back! Thank you!

Late night meals just got a whole lot more fun! So every time I have passed by this place (located behind el fenix and there is a parking lot) the line has always seemed long however on this particular evening a friend tricked me and we ended up here. However after a few bites, I can honestly say it worth it. I would say the line moves fast but it's only as fast as the person in front of you orders so having an idea of what you want helps the line move. I got a quesadilla, queso and (don't judge me) a breakfast burrito to enjoy the next morning. I also got a pineapple slush (frozen margarita) however I should have followed m friend and got the michelada (you get to choose the beer). Over all everything was tasty, the patio can get a little noisy and it's pet friendly.

Good taco and tasty margarita. Wish the tacos were bigger so get at least 3. Chips are a bit thick for my liking and the salsa was so so, but the red sauce was just the right spicy. Lines can be long on a Saturday at lunch but they move fast. Grab a seat at the counter and enjoy the view.

They have the best breakfast tacos. Absolutely fire every single time and I get them every week. They don't skimp on the cheese which is perfectly melted in with the eggs. Perfectly simple but flavorful taco. Love their verde and red sauce too.

The food is so good. Probably the best tacos I have had in Dallas. The service was quick and the setting is pretty cool minus the birds!!! The elote was perfectly made and really good queso. Definitely adding this place as my favs.

Seating is outside, has a cool vibe. Tacos are reasonably priced and were very flavorful. Queso was yummy but chips were kind of stale. You order at a window and they call you when it's ready and you take it to any table you choose.

Taqueria La Ventana is a solid and affordable taqueria. The burritos here are $6 each. That's almost unheard of especially in this day and age. I haven't seen a $6 burrito since George Bush was in office. Another reason I knew this place was solid was when I overheard two ladies (possibly strippers) arguing near the pick up window. Good taquerias usually comes with a side of drama. Anyhow, 2 burritos for $12 was a great deal in my book. I got the lengua and brisket burritos. The lengua was excellent. The brisket was decent but not as good as BBQ brisket. Some parts were tender and some parts were pretty dry. Also for these burritos they don't use the usual pico de gallo. It's just lettuce and tomatoes. Also make sure you get some of the complimentary salsas. The red salsa got a nice kick to it and was my favorite out of the two. I give Taqueria La Ventana a solid 4 stars for affordability and deliciousness. I will return if I'm looking for a quick and cheap eat.

Tacos were great! A great place to grab and go. Definitely will go again. Location is outside so make sure to bring a jacket

Tried to order for pickup last night but their website wasn't working, quesadillas weren't even an option, and it didn't list the taco of the month. Tried calling the restaurant but the line immediately hung up. Seemed like a cute place. Maybe we'll try one of the other locations with better service.

Down for a fun environment, cheap tacos, and margaritas? This is definitely a good option! The tacos are street taco style. Don't get me wrong, you can get the best tacos in DFW located in an unassuming gas station all around. But again, if you're wanting a lively atmosphere, large outdoor patio, cool wall art, or even a spot to hang before a Mavs or Stars game, this is one to check out. I've had much better al pastor tacos and quesadillas in other spots for much cheaper which is why I docked a star. But the drinks are strong and good!

We had the best time at this location! Hailey and zamora were super sweet this is the place to be on national tequila day or if you like tequila period!

These tacos ARE THE BEST. I fell in love at first bite. But what's a taco without a RITA? They have flavors here. And happy hour on the Rita's. They just opened a new Mansfield location which is closer to me than the Dallas location. I'm so happy!!!!

Let's cut to the chase: The food is average. Not great, not horrible. Tacos were dry. Seasoning was good tho. Guacamole was bland, needed more salt. Margarita was lacking flavor, but was strong. Ambiance is nice. Patio is comfortable and the customer service is great! Wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but I wouldn't argue anyone down if they wanted to drag me here.

We stumbled upon this little place and truly enjoyed everything here! I had the Barbacoa burrito, which was amazing! The meat had so much flavor and was so tender and delicious! And the guacamole was some of the best I have ever eaten! Or and the margaritas were amazing!!! When in Dallas this is a must!

Idk if I'm just not a street taco person but I just didn't feel "5 Starry" when I ate this food... It tasted pretty decent though, I tried different meats and they all tasted equally good. Except the steak that seemed very fatty The service was pretty good too, and she helped my understand the items. The ambience i would say was the best part, eccentric lighting and great Mexican music. I just think the tacos seemed small and under packed, but besides that. This place was a neat experience.. idk if I'd come back though

Great taco shop! We came here on a Saturday afternoon. It was packed with a long line to order. Don't let that deter you. The line moves quickly and they have an efficient system for picking up your drinks and appetizers before your tacos are ready. The outdoor patio is comfortable with ample seating options. The bistro lights add a fun feel to the atmosphere. Best of all, the tacos are very good. The meat filling is generous and the seasoning is very flavorful. The tortillas taste freshly made and are a nice size for street tacos.

Came here on a busy friday but able to get a seat after ordering. It's quick service with delicious caramel churros. Unfortunately the tacos here are good, but nothing a food truck local taco shop can't serve even better.

Alberto was so nice during my first visit here at the Dallas Farmers market! I ordered the chicken bowl and it was so delicious and fresh. Seasoned to perfection! Their guacamole was so good. I could stop eating them with my chips. To finish my meal, I had a marg on the rocks. Must stop by to dine here!

I really enjoyed to tacos and the red sauce. It was super spicy the way I like it. My only criticism is for deliver orders, better packaging would be helpful. The taco fillings has fallen out of the shell when it arrived via Door Dash. And when looking at the packaging, it made sense. It was not packaged with care or in a way that caters to delivery

Seating is all outside, but we found a table in the sun so it was the perfect temperature on a 55 degree day. I ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon and my father got a steak burrito. Both were delicious with healthy portions. Service was very quick.

My second order wasn't that good : it had too much salt but I'm guessing because I didn't leave a tip ; I rather tip the diver in hand but Hopefully nice time they won't be salty with my food I'll leave them a tip too , Overall it's all love & good food.

Our server, Eduardo, was AMAZING! He was tentative and made the best habenaro margaritas. The food was great and the atmosphere was perfect. I will be back.

I have to say, this is hands down the best taco place I have ever visited in Dallas. The calabacitas are cooked to perfection--not too soft and not too hard, just right, bringing back the flavors of my homeland, Michoacán

Great tacos, the bistek is amazing. Fast service and great vibes. Highly recommend it to anyone passing by looking for some classic Mexican food.

Came here pre Covid and it was a real treat for the breakfast tacos. They were perfectly loaded with all the goodies one would expect. The most part of the tacos were the tortillas which were soft and not dry and chewy. Overall a great restaurant for all things Tex mex. The only knock is there is no restroom available before the restaurant next door opens.

Go for the drinks. Eat some place else. This outdoor Cafe sits on the parking lot behind El Fenix. Shoulda gone to El Fenix instead. Their chips were stale, even the ones they gave me when I asked for fresher ones. Guac was bland. Needed cilantro, onions, and salsa to make it taste like something other than what you get at the grocery store. The beef/shrimp tacos failed to deliver. The beef was tough and stringy. Upsides: employees were the best--friendly and helpful. The patio area was festive, made all the better by the perfect weather. I will be back--at happy hour when drink prices are good and on a day when the weather is good since all seating is outside. I'll eat next door at El Fenix, then walk around the building to Taquera la Ventana for drinks.

Tacos were horrible! I don't know how this place stays in business; probably because it's the only spot that stays open so late. Food was ridiculously greasy and had no flavor. Trash.

Cute little outside taco dive bar that has every selection of meat to put into a mini taco! Place music and serves beverages of your choice! Order, pay, find a seat, and they will call your order when it's ready! Parking is near by, make sure to validate your parking, first two hours are free!

I always bring people that come to Dallas to This place. They have great outdoor seating although it's usually very packed and there's a line, the tacos are delicious and the prices are very affordable. I really like the Suadero and Pastore tacos. The margaritas are very strong as well
