Family-run since the owners emigrated from Mexico, Los Comales is a locals’ standby for quesabirria, al pastor off the trompo, and weekend menudo. The team behind it also launched upscale sister spot Madre Cocina y Lounge, reported by What Now Denver.

One of my favorite places for Menudo. My family is jamaican and we use Tripe as well!! This is made with love and you can taste it in every spoonful. The service is amazing. The staff has always been so gracious and so welcoming.

Google
Great food, I believe the young Lady serving us said it was a combination of Chihuahua and Sonora regional food. The rice was so buttery and the beans were top quality fresh and they had a hint of sweetness to them. Great family run place we had a very nice lunch with great service. Definitely will return when we are in the area.

I have moved away from FC but I used to come here regularly and want to give a positive review since I just remembered how much I liked this place. I’m from Texas, raised in NM, and Hispanic. As far as sit down, not-hole-in-the-wall, Mexican food, this is the best in Fort Collins I found. Every other place in that category I had in FC was honestly bad/mid, but this place is the bomb (the nearby Mexican grocery/bakery you’d go to on a lunch break for a quick bite is really good too). If you want a nice sit down Mexican experience in FC, good for date nights, dining out with the family, a relaxing meal after travel, and stuff like that, you’ll love this place. Look no further. I’m a queso fundido/flameado addict. It’s good here. I often just got it as my meal. Sure, it’s just meat, cheese, and tortillas/chips, but… what else do you need? Lol! Smothered burritos? Good here. Tortas? Good here. My wife, a FC native, is now a taco addict - she likes them here (she used to not like Mexican food until she met me since she went to another place I won’t name that doesn’t hold a candle to this place — and I took her here and now she likes Mexican food lol). I like the Birria tacos Queso/guac/chips/tortillas are all good here. Service was also good here. They started to recognize me; Alejandra/Alex I think her name was (no idea if she’s still there) even ended up remembering my orders and was always great. If I didn’t show up for a while, the guy at the front commented on it and asked how I was doing. Food was always fast and servers friendly. I like their remodel they did during COVID too. Nice mural on the wall, clean store, it’s nice. So… yeah. Go here. Full endorsement. I’ll be back whenever I visit.

Google
Was recommended this place by a friend and so I had super high expectations and they were fully met. The food was amazing! Birria tacos changed my life. The service was super nice and quick. The food was so good we forgot to take a picture!

Google
Los Cómales is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve been to! The food is absolutely delicious—authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and generous portions. You can really taste the love in every dish! José was our server, and he was fantastic. Super friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. You can tell he genuinely cares about the customers and loves what he does

Google
In town for a show and hotel clerk recommended. Absolutely crushed it. Some of the best “bang bang” shrimp I have ever had, and the enchiladas were phenomenal as well.server was named Natalie (not sure on spelling) and she was absolutely fantastic as well. All around 5 stars for sure

Google
We stopped in at this Mexican restaurant right at the corner of College and Prospect for lunch. Ordered the guacamole and chips at $10. The guacamole was good. We did two of the tacos with one El Pastor and one Asada. The tacos were super flavorful, but you would need eight of them to fill up. For five dollars each that's way too expensive for such little portions. Service was great and a clean location.

Google
I recently dined at Taqueria Los Comales in Fort Collins, and it was a fantastic experience! The restaurant had a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and attentive. We have always had amazing servers every time we go! The menu offered a wide variety of traditional Mexican dishes, and everything we ordered was delicious. The tacos were flavorful and made with fresh ingredients, and the burritos were generously stuffed. The salsa and guacamole were top-notch, adding the perfect amount of spice and freshness to the meal! The prices were reasonable, considering the portion sizes and quality of the food. They also have an extensive cocktail menu! All the drinks are creative and incredibly delicious! I always leave Taqueria Los Comales feeling satisfied and impressed. Definitely some of the best Mexican food in town. If you're in Fort Collins and craving authentic Mexican cuisine, this place is definitely worth a visit! Edit: tried the fajitas recently and they’re amazing! Definitely a serving that could be split if both people wanted a good serving that comes out sizzling and tastes amazing ! Also, the

Yelp
The food and service are excellent. We've been here many times and it is always very good. The owners take pride in their business, and it shows.

Yelp
Smaller place, but overall good ambiance with great service. The space is clean and welcoming. The food is delicious as others have stated. I just wish the prices were more reasonable. I ordered 1 carne asada taco, 1 birria taco, and an agua Fresca. My total was about $18 not including tip which seems pretty expensive for a couple tacos and a drink, no sides or chips with salsa. I arrived a little early to meet my friend for lunch and was bummed to find out wi-fi wasn't available so I could do some work while I waited. I would love if this was an option in the future for working lunches.

Yelp
Very friendly service. This is a cute neighborhood taqueria. I stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner and was greeted by a gracious host/server. I ordered a house margarita and enjoyed an appetizer of guacamole and chips. I was appalled to see, when the check came, that I was charged $3.50 for the chips! Wouldn't they come with the guacamole?? holy guacamole! I also ordered a carnitas taco and a shrimp tempura taco. Both were good, but the shrimp taco fell apart quickly. I think if they would have lightly crisped the tortilla - like they did with the street taco- it would've held up better while eating. All in all it was a decent meal but really pricey for two tacos, guac, and one drink= I was out $40 for my lunch/dinner!

Yelp
Best Mexican food in Fort Collins. Hands down! Wow wow wow! The margaritas or the tacos, I honestly don't know what is better. Leslie knows what's going on and is there to serve and assist. She's also gorgeous:) you have to try the desert coffee Oreo shot.

Yelp
This is my favorite Mexican place in Fort Collins so far. When there is a salsa bar (and the salsa is GREAT), and there are Mexican families eating here, you know it's gonna be good. While it is on the pricy side, I feel like it's worth it cause the quality is good. This visit I ended up getting 3 tacos - pastor, tripa, and lengua. First, I was surprised that they offered these "exotic" cuts of meat to begin with haha. The pastor was great! And for those who are more adventurous with their food, the lengua was SO soft and tender!! And I asked them to make my tripa extra crispy... If you haven't had extra crispy tripa tacos before, get it from here. You're welcome! We also got their birria tacos... Really yummy and comes with consumé. Got their chips and queso dip (ordered it after we ordered our tacos and it still came out pretty fast). It was a lil pricy ($10 for chips and queso) and I'm unsure if we were allowed free refills on chips.

Yelp
We have been coming here for years and I swear it gets better each and every time. The food is always SO quick and so tasty. My go to is a smothered burrito - oh my god delicious. If you like margaritas, this is the spot! My go to for margs is the strawberry margarita. Everything is so reasonably priced too. The service is always so amazing here as well. Natalie is literally the sweetest human ever and always makes sure our needs are taken care of. And don't forget to get some yummy churros, they're the best in town!

Yelp
Downgrading from 5 to 4 stars. Just had the tacos carnitas and they have really cut back on portions. Instead of two pieces of corn tortilla per taco, it's now one. Before there was plenty of toppings on the taco and now just barely enough for one. I appreciate they are upgrading their atmosphere with fancier decorations, staff t-shirts, bar, etc. They are trying to capture higher revenue drinks, but the number one thing I had loved about this place was their tacos. I hope they don't lose their way and neglect keeping up their quality and quantity, that I've come to love over the years. Verdict is out. Let's see if they can get back to their roots.

Yelp
This place slaps, don't miss out. Food or drink, you can't go wrong. This is the kind of place where you could close your eyes and point to a random item and have the best meal of your week. Trust me.

Yelp
Oh man if you are craving the real deal, Look no further! Great friendly service, family owned and run this place. If you like the hot stuff try the orange salsa Chile de arbole. It promises to warm you up inside and out. José, the owner's son will treat you right.

Emma J.

Yelp
delicious food and margs. Also has chips & queso which was also delicious. Natalie was a great server. overall great experience

Yelp
The food by far is the best in town. Love the margaritas! The service is outstanding!! Great place to stop in for lunch.
google avatar

Yelp
Best smothered burrito I have ever had in my life. I got the tacos, but I ate half of my boyfriend's burrito. The tacos were also absolutely amazing but definitely get that smothered burrito.

Yelp
AMAZING!!!! I order the Quesadilla de Harina with asada because I just wanted a light lunch and it was absolutely delicious. The asada was so flavorful!! It was perfect for a light lunch. They have a salsa bar with 4 yummy options. The wait staff were so friendly and helpful with drink suggestions. And let me tell you their margaritas are soooooooooo good!!! They had fun music and you can see the bar tender making your drinks fresh from your seat. You must treat yourself to Taqueria Los Comales!!
google avatar

Yelp
The service was fast and friendly. The seating has good spacing and windows to look out with outside seating available. I went here after reading reviews on the tacos and they did not disappoint. The carne asada taco and taco birria were very good! I look forward trying more tacos on the menu. Also had a good selection of tequila and various margaritas.

Yelp
Super fun little taqueria which came highly recommended to us. It's got a casual, lively atmosphere, mostly tables in lieu of booths, and isn't a huge room. We had lunch and iLos Comales was clearly a favorite for others too, although we didn't have to wait to sit down. It feels like a family owned place, and the staff was extra genuine and helpful. Our server shook hands with us as we left, welcoming us to come again since we were new. We will! We wanted to have EVERYTHING, but settled for an enchilada plate and a smothered burrito. We could stop ourselves from adding a small taco each to our order so we could try them too (Call it an appetizer!). The plates were great, but I think won't be able to resist the street tacos next time. So flavorful. We didn't get a photo because we ate it all up too fast, sorry!

Yelp
I saw a recommendation for this place from an online forum and it did NOT disappoint! I am new to the area and have wanted to find tacos and spicy cocktails that scream authentic and unique and I feel like I found the place! I ordered the Birria tacos. Unlike some, these were doubled up on the tortilla, crisp on the outside, and full of meat. These tacos were not small and they were full! And the broth was perfect--not too salty hut full of flavor! I also ordered the guacamole. You can tell it's fresh and house made. Not crazy spicy and rather refreshing. The chips are also made in house and were perfectly crisp. With only the occasional greasy chip, they were some of the better house made tortilla chips I've had--not soggy and not overly salted either. I tried each of the 4 salsas. They offer a Pico, a mild green, medium green and hot red. All tasted fresh and flavorful and it was enough choice to satisfy any desired palate. Last, I had the Endiablada cocktail. The ingredients were obviously fresh and it was absolutely incredible in terms of taste. It didn't have the cheap alcohol taste at all, it was very well balanced and fresh tasting with only hint if spice at the end that's more flavor than heat. As far as service goes, this was AMAZING! Danny was very knowledgeable a out the menu and happy to answer any questions and made great recommendations. They were attentive and all seemed upbeat and positive and like they were enjoying themselves. The atmosphere felt bright and positive. Not an intimate setting but perfect for lunch where you want to catch up with friends and share great food and try each other's cocktails. This restaurant also has a patio next to a semi busy street--didnt seem overly loud though I didn't sit outside today.

Yelp
This is our go to place, we go on the first day of every month as a tradition. Anyone complaining about service forgets that this is a family run restaurant and they are doing their very best! Speaking of service, these are some of my favorite people ever and they are always so kind and welcoming. Food and drinks are amazing too!

Yelp
Glad that I was able to try Taqueria Los Comales this weekend. I was originally going to eat breakfast elsewhere, but they were closed due to kitchen renovations. Not sure about their hours. On yelp it says they open at 9:30 a.m. but their open signs were not turned on when we arrived around 9:50. We waited as we could see them getting ready to open. They turned the signs on at about 10:05 right as we were walking up. We were greeted promptly and kindly even though we were those people who showed up right when they opened. The service was great! And once our food arrived he let us know that they had a salsa bar so we could grab anything we wanted. We asked for waters and were given a beautiful glass for refilling them. Loved that touch and it makes it easier on the server so we don't have to ask for refills. The interior is homey and had a couple TV's with different channels on. It's not the biggest place in terms of being able to accommodate larger parties, but it can seat several smaller parties of four or less. My mom and I both ordered the huevos rancheros for breakfast and man were they good. AND it was out to us in less than five minutes. Since I've joined yelp, I've branched out on so many different cuisines and recipes. This breakfast food was amazing! It was fresh, I loved the crunch from the tortillas and the salsa bar gave the meal an elevated taste. The beans were good and warm, but the rice was cold and a little hard. Every restaurant I have been to in Fort Collins has been killing it! Taqueria Los Comales is no exception.

Er M.

Yelp
It's a small space but everyone is friendly! The servers are always smiling and checking on you! Totally recommend this place. I especially love the homemade corn tortillas! They remind me of home being so far away. We tried the menudo and barbacoa tacos! Love them!

Yelp
The service here was really bad. The servers were nice and everything but did not pay any attention to us- we waited over 10 minutes to just get more chips, and by then my $10 watery queso was cold. We couldn't really take advantage of the salsa bar without chips. We also waited a long time for drinks because they seemingly forgot about us- we saw a server scan, look at my friend's violently bouncing leg, and get this "oh no" look on his face before he ran to the bar to get the drinks. They then brought him the wrong taco while they served me and the other person at the table- so he was sitting with just rice and beans, waiting for his actual meal, while we had ours. The beans had absolutely no flavor. I would have felt better about the whole thing if they were busy, but we were like 1 of 4 tables there, with 3 servers. I frequently saw them chatting by the bar. The bathrooms were also kind of gross. Was expecting a lot more from this place based on their website and pricing. Honestly the only thing that I was impressed with was the crispiness of the chimichanga. My friend said he could have made better tacos himself easily, and he did not like the beans at all either. Won't be back here, was not worth the price because of food, service, and cleanliness.

Yelp
Many friends have raved to me about this place over the past few months, but every time I'm in this location, I end up heading straight for my hot chicken addiction located next door. Since I'd been to MCHC the day prior, I was finally ready to try Taqueria Los Comales. My fiancé and I grabbed a table on the patio and instantly our server was beside us, checking to see if we had any questions. We started with the horchata (a MUST if you're here!) and sipped on the sweet, cold, creamy rice drink with specks of cinnamon swirling around while enjoying the sunshine. We opted to split the Trio Fajita - chicken, beef and shrimp with grilled bell peppers, onions, bacon and cheese. The pan came out sizzling with aromatic steam billowing off the top. Our server dropped off another trio of different salsas, fresh refried beans, rice and tortillas, and we went to town! Every aspect of this dish was perfection - tender chicken, crispy bacon, perfectly cooked shrimp and flavorful steak. At $19.99, it's a generous amount of food, and even more perfect to split. We ended up taking our leftovers home with extra tortillas, and fed ourselves for the next two days with what remained. I'll definitely be trying out some of their nice tequilas and margaritas next time I'm around! That is, if I can pass up another glass of that magical, exquisite horchata!

Yelp
We came in on a Saturday, early evening and were seated immediately. The young man that seated us asked if we'd like any waters or sodas to start with which he promptly served us. I ordered a house margarita. It was served to me quickly and nicely presented in a proper size glass with some black salt around one side of the glass and a very fresh, very juicy strawberry and lime wedge to garnish. I also had a strawberry margarita that was also nicely presented and garnished with black salt and a very fresh and sweet strawberry and lime. Both drinks were nicely balanced, refreshing and very tasty. We ordered some chips and queso. The chips were made fresh but did lack salt. The queso was smooth and tasted ok but could have used a bit more seasoning. The serving size is quite large too. Overall, we'd definitely order this again. I had a cheese enchilada. I ordered it smothered in the red sauce which was spicy but not the kind that continues to burn your mouth. The flavor was delicous. The tortilla was very fresh and the serving size was generous. The refried beans are REAL!! They are not reconstituted dried beans or watered down and flavored with bacon as you so often find in many Mexican restaraunts. No. These are REAL refrieds and they were delicious. My only complaint was that my food was just warm but not warm enough to even melt the cheese in my enchilada. Other than my food not being hot enough, the taste was there, the serving size was good and the food was very fresh. I'd have this dish again. My dining partner had tacos which he said were made with fresh ingredients, seasoned well and nice sized portions. Not only are the margaritas really good, the food tasty and fresh, but the service here was friendly, fast and efficient. The young men working there, from the young man that seats you, to the wait staff, bartenders and cooks work very hard and you can tell they take pride in their work and the quality of the food and service. Yes, I will be back and highly recommend this place.

Caleb C.

Yelp
A bit more expensive but the food is so good here. Service is always on point and it is usually on the busier side especially at peak hours. The salsas are also super delicous and I love places that have self serve salsa bars like this has. I usually get the tacos or a burrito, all of which have been really good
google avatar

Kris S.

Yelp
good food with some fancy presentation. we got chips, queso and guacamole. the guacamole was perfect. I had chili relleno and it was super cheesy. no complaints on food. salsa bar had about 4 different salsas and some jalapeños. drinks were good, but pretty pricey. they did split one for us. food ws good and service was great.

Colette C.

Yelp
The fajita burrito is exceptional. The green chili isn't too spicy, but they have a salsa bar where you can choose to add whatever level of spiciness you want. The tostada was excellent as well. There were some seafood specialties that look enticing for a future visit. Jose (who doesn't usually serve tables) was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had a margarita that appeared small, but had a true kick to it. We'll be back!
google avatar

Elizabeth N.

Yelp
I finally found a place to get authentic Mexican breakfast! I like that their breakfast menu is small and although they don't have chilaquilles listed on their menu, this that was not an issue. Our waitress told us they would happily make the chilaquilles and we also ordered a large menudo. Both dishes were full of flavor. The menudo was spot on and served with your choice of corn tortillas or their toasted torta bread (which I recommend choosing). It's a difficult dish that not every restaurant can master. They give you plenty of meat and the large bowl was quite large that next time I will order their small. They also serve tasty coffee in cute mugs! The staff was wonderful and they have a cool bar area.

Yelp
10/10 food was too good the service was amazing definitely recommend this place to anyone don't miss this place !

Yelp
The seafood tower at Taqueria Los Comales is impressive. Their tacos are always on point and as Karla can attest their mezcal drinks are amazing. Just such a consistent place to get great Mexican food. The staff is friendly. Rumor has it they are scouting for a 2nd location. They need it.. it's packed in there all the time.

Yelp
One of the most highly professional places I have eaten. Their food is beautiful made and the quality is there. I will recommend this place over any mexican restaurant! All the food here is amazing! Family owned and run! Service 10/10! They have a drive of wanting to serve you and make sure you have a great experience!

Yelp
Our server Christian was the best - so attentive and accommodating! He offered to split a burrito in half and have the smothered sauce on the side for us, since my friend and I were splitting the dish. Shrimp ceviche was really just okay (the shrimp was cooked and tough, the sauce was strange), but I don't know what I expected for seafood in Colorado. I really enjoyed my smothered burrito - the sauce was excellent - and my friend enjoyed his enchiladas (the rice and beans were passable).
google avatar

Mark F.

Yelp
This was a highly recommended restaurant from the hotel management where we were staying. The restaurant itself is somewhat small yet accommodating. They have a small salsa bar which was kind of nice, and the menu was fairly varied. I ended up with the fajita burrito without the sauce, and since I couldn't decide on that or the tamales are server suggested I get a side pork tamales. Both dishes were excellent and taste however I have to say that the tamale came out lukewarm so I dropped the star because of that. Our server appeared to be part of the family that owns the restaurant and he was a wealth of information on how they evolved from what they started to where they are now. So it was nice to see his enthusiasm as part of the ordering process and description of the various plates. My only minor complaint would be that chips are not automatically served as part of your meal particularly since they have such a nice little salsa bar it would have been a nice compliment to have for the meal.
google avatar

Edgardo M.

Yelp
Very tasteful. This has to be the best Mexican food I had in Colorado. With that being said, of course it isn't San Antonio, but again, best I had in Colorado. Place is a good happening place. Dog friendly with the outside sitting.
google avatar

Ariella W.

Yelp
This is solely from a Door dash pick up perspective. Arrived and was greeted. The person at the door was friendly. They have a little spot boxed off upon entrance and makes it so there is not a lot of places to stand. I was told the order was not ready and that i would need to wait outside. The weather outside was windy and cold and I was wearing short sleeves. They kept letting other people in and another guy was standing there waiting. I went outside but the wait time was around 10 minutes. I usually never have to wait that long anywhere else for order pick ups. And also it was REALLY cold. I will not be doing any other order pick ups from the location and I am honestly turned off from ever trying it myself as a customer.

Yelp
Los Comales has recently undergone some upgrades, and many of my friends were recommending that I check out their new space. I'm so glad I did! Their new drink menu is really impressive and unique. You can tell the staff is really proud of this feature of their restaurant--and rightly so. All the drinks are delicious and beautifully presented! As for the staff, they are incredibly kind and professional. We were well attended to for the entirety of our meal. The only complaint I have is that fish taco was a bit bare. I would've love some more toppings on it, or salsa to eat it with. That being said, their ingredients are high quality and tasty, so next time I may just try a different entree. Everyone I was with loved their meals. I can't wait to go back and I hope everyone who reads this review feels compelled to give them a try! I'd love to see this place succeed!

Jackie G.

Yelp
Tried taquerias again- came in and asked for three street tacos a side of beans, a side of rice- Basically a meal, I got 6 tablespoons of refried beans 8 tablespoons of rice, and they purposely made it ale carte so basically for three street tacos it was $30... it's good but not again... Let that sink in three street tacos for $30... and they purposely put a chip in the middle of the refried beans on the plate..weird.

Yelp
One of the best ones in Ft. C.!!! I have to come here for good service too (Post Covid). Love your food keep up the good work all! One of the best ones in Ft. C.!!! I have to come here for good service too (Post Covid). Love your food keep up the good work all!

Yelp
Highly recommend this place! Excellent margaritas, excellent food. We ordered the house margarita and the strawberry margarita... both were great. We also enjoyed the guacamole. For dinner the tacos were fantastic, as were the chimichangas. A glimpse at the kitchen as we walked in also looked super clean. But the best part of our experience was the staff! Jose was our waiter and he was fantastic! There is a real family atmosphere here and we actually interacted with several family members... wonderful experience. Would highly recommend... large cocktail menu and food menu. Will be back next time we visit Fort Collins!

Yelp
As a visitor to Colorado, my gastronomical priority here was focused on one thing: green chile sauce! So i got the wet burrito smothered in green chile sauce. We also got extra green chile on the side. Everything was super delicious. I would definitely come back for more items paired with green chile sauce.

Len L.

Yelp
Had lunch there this past weekend, and were very pleasantly surprised! A small restaurant and all tables taken mid-afternoon. Excellent, attentive service and the food exceeded our expectations on both quality and quantity. Certainly a menu that is many steps above what we expect from a typical Mexican restaurant in the United States: many dishes are unique in our experience, although the more typical "American" Mexican dishes are there as well. You can find the less expensive items however in our opinion the more "adventurous" ones are well worth the price. We have had a second home in Mexico, and Taqueria Los Comales reminded us how special Mexican cuisine can be. Wish we lived in Fort Collins: we would not hesitate to return, and hope we have the opportunity to do so on our future visits.

Yelp
Really great energy here. LOVED their salsa and had delicious drinks (El Jefe and a Peach Margarita). Great food, family owned, salsa bar with awesome choices -- highly recommend!

Yelp
Pretty average, ordered tamales and they were cold in the middle and the sauce was watery, someone else ordered the Bira tacos and they were decent. salsa bar is a good idea, but it was empty and was never refilled while we were there. Server was very nice. .

Lucia L.

Yelp
I love the service. The seafood is as close as it can get to real Mexican food. The tacos are great and very tasty.

Yelp
Best Mexican food and great service! Our new favorite restaurant. Fun atmosphere as well:)

Yelp
Great food and service! Margaritas were on point, so was the salsa bar. Everything offered was fresh and delicious! Shout out to our waiter Omar! He was great!

Yelp
Always deliciously prepared Authentic Mexican food found here! I usually get the fajitas but this time I went with the platillo. Got a mix of buche and asada. I loved the buche so much I took extra with me to eat on the drive home. If you don't know what buche is I've included a picture. I asked for it extra crispy... just heavenly. We went during a holiday today, and service was a bit lacking. But the food is always the best part anyway. Looks like they recently remodeled .... The bathroom was clean and nicely re done. I'll always recommend this restaurant. Try the buche and let me know what you think!

Yelp
We stopped in to Los Comales around 4:15pm on a cold snowy Saturday night. We were greeted with a warm welcome from several employees and seated at a corner table. They have renovated since the last time we ate here, which was around last summer. The new restaurant is a clean modern take on Mexican restaurant style. We decided to start out with some cocktails, I ordered the "Mi Guarecita" and my husband ordered the "Sancho Picante". Both of our drinks were amazing. All cocktails are made with syrups and ingredients made in house. No bottle mixers here, and you can taste the quality. We also ordered some chips and salsa to start, all the salsas were delicious, ranging from mild-very hot, our favorite was the red salsa which also happened to be the spiciest. My husband ordered a smothered Tripa (intestine) burrito which really good. I ordered a variety of tacos, (Al Pastor, Carnitas, and Buche (pork stomach) with a side of rice. Really have to mention how good the rice was! I grew up eating the best Mexican rice (my moms) and this rice can definitely compete! We had a few more cocktails, "Desierto de Sonora" for me and "El Jefe". Our bartender Cesar was amazing, you can tell he has a passion for ensuring each cocktail is perfect! He even surprised us with a complimentary shot which was similar to the cocktail menu item "Cafe D' Olla". This shot was rich, not too sweet and tasted like a coffee ice cream. Perfect way to end our dinner at Los Comales. Lastly the entire staff (especially our waiter Daniel) at Los Comales was so nice and helpful. They truly made our dinner here one to remember. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Tacos were decent the margarita was a rip off, it equaled about 2 oz of a pre- made margarita mix.

Yelp
I still think this is my favorite taqueria with a combination of other Mexican food, long term in Ft C. I have taken family and friends there for more than 15 years. The different salsas you can put on your tacos/food are all uniquely authentically theirs. You can't find as diverse an assortment of sauces. When the sauce bar was open, it was the most varied one in town. I have faith they will be around for many generations to come. Is it just me, or is it the number one place actual Mexican people go for authentic Mexican food here in town? Let me get an amen. You know where to go if authenticity matters to you. Also, I'm eager to try their new-ish tequila bar... it would be a fun place to make the room spin on a snowy night.... have some tacos and menudo and tequila... food 10 Decor 10 Vibe 10 Friendliness 10 Cleanliness 10 Ps: we stopped in today.
