Some of the best tacos I’ve had! The steak and al pastor tacos are out of this world. Definitely one of our favorite spots now. Their home made chips that come with the guac are also worth mentioning! If you are looking for great tacos, this should be a spot you try!

We drove over 30 minutes just to try their beef birria quesa-taco's with Consomé and they did NOT disappoint!!! They were absolutely amazing!! I got two of those and one chorizo taco. My husband got their chicken burrito and like it and our son got a chicken quesadilla which he loved! If you like a good spice, I suggest trying their 911 salsa, but every other salsa that they bring out to you is amazing as well!! I wish I would have gotten some chips and salsa! Our waitress was absolutely sweet and on top of service as well! Would absolutely recommend this place and will be back for more birria's!!

To me it's a hidden gem, I had the pastor torta and two pastor tacos and they are a must try, the spice of the marinade and the pineapple that's mixed in it is amazing.

I was so excited to try queca birria tacos and they did not disappoint so delicious, chips were amazing and my mom won’t stop raving about the guacamole. The salsa was spicy but not my favorite. Other than that it was a fantastic experience. Also our waitress was really helpful and nice.

This place is really welcoming and even though I don't stop by to eat much which I should I do come by very often for a very good tasting coffee one of the best in town for i highly recommend it for any locals or passing by visitors

Horrible service the workers have the worst attitudes. This is the second time ive odered food for pick from here and have had to reorder and wait inside. Not to mention the food here tastes old. Definitely not coming back.

Food was decent. Ordered steak torta, wasn't over or under cooked, just a little on the salty side. Fries were incredible. Nice little gem for some decent food.

If you want real Mexican Food paisanos is the spot! Food GOOD! prices are fair! Good variety of dishes and there not greedy! They serve good portions for every plate you get. I live in the area and when I’m in the mood for tacos,torta or birria not to mention there menudo on Sunday’s paisanos is the spot to go! Good friendly people 👍🏼

Always friendly service!! I ordered Birria with quesadillas...Fantastic! It really hit the spot. My son had a steak burrito... he modified his burrito and it was perfect! Great little place to get great authentic Mexican food!

So I went to this place the other day, the outside looks a little...rustic, let's say. I ordered by phone beforehand. Finding a parking spot was a bit of a mission, I almost parked right in front but didn't want to block anyone, so I snagged a spot further back. When I went in, the horchata de cafe caught my eye it sounded amazing! It was good, but honestly, a little pricey for what it was. The Birria queca, though? Totally worth it! I also grabbed a steak taco, a chorizo taco, and an al pastor taco all decent, but again, the prices were a little higher than I expected. I also tried a steak gordita, which was okay.The music inside was really cool when I walked in, and the service was great. Overall, tasty food, but be prepared to open your wallet a bit wider!

Ordered the Monday Special, Burrito Al Pastor for $8.50 (reg $10) and Steak Taco. Al Pastor was marinated well and had bits of pineapple to balance the saltiness of the tender pork. Steak was just average for me. Horchata was decent and not overly sweet. Sevice was good and attentive as there was only two tables for her to care for. Place seems clean although I didn't use the restroom. Give them a try. Would return when I'm back out this way.

This is my first time coming in. I read previous reviews and I am so glad I came in!! Lucky for me the thing I came in for was on special. The quesabirria with consome was so delicious! Our server was very friendly and attentive to us making it an overall great experience. The atmosphere is small but very comfortable, with great Mexican music playing on their Tv. My kids had the tacos de asada and they really enjoyed them. I also recommend the Horchata it was very refreshing We will definitely be back!!

Really solid carne asada and chorizo burrito. Very good horchata. Dining in you get chips and great salsa choices too. I will definitely be back.

Quesabirria tacos delicious. Today I had Chilaquiles Rancheros and they were amazing and pretty spicy. Coffee de canelo too. Small spot but would highly recommend.

Pick up spot in a strip mall near Joliet prison. Lightening fast service and very very good tacos. The salsa was on the hot side but the salsa verde was great.

Location is off at a strip mall type thing. Surrounding it are run down places but I was hungry so I wasn't going to judge. Inside was small but I didn't mind it. Lots of people inside eating so I assumed I had gotten a great place. Sat wherever and got menus. Prices were not too bad. A bit cramped in the back of the dining area. We ordered 3 steak tacos with cilantro and onion and avocado and 2 birria tacos as well as fries. Birria Tacos- 7/10, lots and lots of cheese which kind of ruined it for me. I get the cheese part but this was a crazy amount inside, you can't really tell from the photo. Good crunch and flavor of taco and beef. Didn't try with any salsa and it would have helped the flavor a little bit Fries- 10/10 always the best at latin american restaurants always so crispy Steak Tacos-3/10, the meal was really dry and had weird taste to it making it unlikely to finish. Steak was crumbling in your mouth rather than being savory and chewable.

This food is the absolute worse, they are selling old and nasty chicken! When you call to speak with a manager whoever answers the phone keeps answering and then hanging up, why would a business do that? Because they know exactly what their doing, selling that old nasty food. Then had the nerve to have a hair in my sauce if I didn't stay so far I wouldn't even bother calling them back to back with no answer smh this is a shame, they are not cheap either, all of this food is just trash!

Great food, friendly service, and great weekend options for menudo and other classic dishes

This is the best place in the area for birria, hands down. The quesabirria tacos are to die for, and we tell everyone about them. It can be a hit tricky as most of the employees don't speak a ton of English, but they're always friendly and the food is worth it!

First time in and I am so glad I went. First of all, Lopita was an absolute gem! She helped me order and checked on me several times to make sure everything was ok. I had been seeing posts about the quecas at other places that had goat, but I prefer beef. I ordered one with the consomé which comes in different sizes. It comes with a side of guacamole and a mild and a spicy sauce. All were absolutely delicious. I ordered the Pozole which came with avocado, cilantro & onion, limes, and tostada chips. The flavor is outstanding. I brought half my meal home for later and it was just as good. I will be returning with my family to try other items soon. Do yourself a favor and go try them! Gloves are worn in food prep area and all mask/ social distancing/ sanitation followed!

Wow. Had the chillaquilles. Fantastic. Also enjoyed a taco carnitas. Four awesome and HOT salsas. If you're in Joliet and want some great Mexican food, this is the place.

Tried them for the first time today March 17th 2024. All I can say is DAMN! We tried their pastor tacos, aracherra tacos, quessabirria, and their pollo asado....everything was ! Their pollo asado plate is amazing!!! Can't wait to go again.

Soooo good! The tortillas are made in house! Delicious, made me feel right at home, super authentic taste. The horchata was yummy. They super filled the lengua tacos, I have not seen a place that has done that. Can't wait to come back again

Birria was off the rails. So good. Everything was fresh and made to order. Just know that there will be a language barrier, so be patient with the servers if you don't speak Spanish.

Beautifully remodeled interior/exterior Food was authentic Mexican, hot spicy and delicious. I had the chili relleno, he had the steak burrito. Steak was great, burrito huge. Chili relleno was tasty, nice flavors. Beans and rice very good. Table salsa's were mild to spicy, nice variety. Staff was attentive, prices decent. No booze. We will go back!

My wife gets tired of making lunch for me so when she doesn't I eat lunch here all the time on my lunch break I love there tacos and gorditas

If I can give this place 10 stars I would. I have been dreaming about these queca de birria tacos for a couple years now since I have seen them on fb from California. Los Paisanos knocked them out of park. In fact out of this world. Beef was tender. Cheese cooked perfectly. Just absolutely amazing. Job well done. Anyone that is thinking about trying these tacos for the first time PLEASE go to this hidden gem. You won't be sorry.

Absolutely love everything on the menu and trust me I've tried quite a bit. The birra tacos are delicious. There is almost always a twenty minute wait but irks well worth it. If you do happen to be a bit more inpatient I'd simply suggest calling ahead to place your order.

This is it! Little gem. We live in Plainfield and have been looking for a great taqueria in the area. Many "Mexican" style places around but have found nothing to brag about. But then we found Los Paisanos! Small little place that reminds me of being in Mexico. The staff is super friendly and cater to u as if you were home w familia. I attached some pics of the tacos we devoured! Found our go to spot! Yay!!

Birria has exploded recently and while I've had extraordinary goat Birria in the city this really a delicious local treat.

So my son said he wanted to eat Mexican tonight and wanted to go to Taqueria los Comales but I corpse I check the yelp review and they only have three stars on yelp where is this place had 4 1/2 stars so I said it Hass to be a much better place so I made him come here. I ordered a steak burrito with everything he ordered three tacos with avocado only double rice and a large Horchata. The first thing that was off is they didn't have any straws it seems really strange to me. I also asked for chips and salsa they said that was a $3.50 up charge that seems high but I decided to order them anyway. The chips were mediocre at best the salsa was OK it was homemade it had chunks of avocado in it which was seem strange to me never had that before. The food came up I could tell right off the bat that the steak for his tacos as well as my burrito was subpar. Very grizzly tiny pieces of overcooked meat. The rice was very spongy and bland he ate two bites out of one taco I ate half my burrito. It was $28 for everything which again seemed very high supposed to say the food is either garbage I have no idea why this place has so many good reviews the food was absolute garbage I would never eat there again I've had better tacos and better taco meat from lunch trucks in the city. In fact I urge you to say the Taco Bell has better quality meat in this place. There a shadow was OK no one was mask I cannot recommend a place in fact I will recommend that you do not eat here the food is garbage

I LOVE this place. Have never gotten bad food or wrong items for as often as I find myself here. Favorite thing on the menu is the Queca de Birria. Don't forget the consome to dip it in! Another favorite is the salsa for the chips. They put these soft avocado bites in the salsa & they're heavenly!!!!

I love this place. One of my favorite food from there is the Quecas but all their food is good. It's a flour fried tortilla taco with cheese any type of meat you want, cilantro, and onions if you prefer, and with any size of dipping sauce and guacamole. I also recommend their new drink Horchata cafe cold or hot. The staffs are really nice, polite, super informative, and quick. They always make sure that everything is alright and that your food is right.

Talk about great Birria tacos This place never fails!!! It's been so long since I've had a good taco that I had lost all hope for the Joliet area. The consommé is always very flavorful.

I'm new to the area. The food was so disappointing. I would give them less than 1 star if I could. The meat has no flavor and was dry. I wish I could get my money back.

So I live in Lockport and Joliet is where I go for Mexican food. My first time checking this place out and I have to say they're tacos are phenomenal. Great seasoning and size. I will definitely be coming back to try more items.

Birria tacos were awesome. Got some regular tacos as well. Tortillas were amazing. Didn't speak the best English, but you're able to get your order in. This is our new go to taco place.

Definately do not recommend. Horrible customer service. Walked in the restaurant, never was greeted by cashier, I gave her the benefit of doubt and she walked away! Never placed order, I refused to spend my hard earned money on an establishment that can not even acknowledge me.

Hit this place on the way through Joliet, a little ways off the highway but we were getting tired of the options near the highway on our road trip. Amazingly yummy Mexican food! We tried the Quecas de Birria - what a sloppy delicious mess! Also tried a Cactus Gordita and Pollo Sope, everything was so tasty. Authentic & delicious!

Came across this little gem and I am so glad I did! Angie was our server and she was super informative, polite and attentive! The taco meat was amazing And flavorful, my fiancé got the torta de lomo and the meat was so tender, cooked perfection! We will be back !!!

Don't get to Joliet much, but was in town for a concert at Rialto and had a taste for Mexican. Stopped in Taqueria and wife and I both had enchiladas and they were OUTSTANDING. We would highly recommend this place.

Absolutely delicious! I had the queca de birria, and WOW. The flavor was immaculate, and they gave big portions. Ordering was easy, and I will no doubt return again!

Usually get the quesadillas, but changed it up and went with the sincronizada. Homemade corn tortilla with ham, cheese, tomato, jalapenos, etc. Take away the cheese and it seems like a pretty healthy lunch. It is a large portion and will take up most of the plate. Even though it is thin, it will fill you up. One of my healthier lunches that still taste good. One other note... they now take credit cards.

Decided to give them another try as I saw various menu items written on their windows that I never saw the previous time I was there. It was like going into a different place. The inside looked as if it was remodeled. Best of all, they had a menu and offered more than just tacos. I got a delicious carne asada burrito for $4.25. I'd ranked it as one of the more better burritos I've had thus far, especially if you're a fan of rice and beans in your burrito. Too bad they only take cash.
