Late one evening, after a family gathering, we decided to try some street tacos. A quick online search led us to Taqueria Mazatlan. Knowing "taqueria" signifies a taco specialty, we gave it a try. I ordered two tacos and a Taco Macho, while my friends ordered a torta and some quesadillas. While we weren't expecting fine dining, we waited about fifteen minutes before our order was taken, despite the absence of a line or other customers. It then took another twenty minutes for our food to arrive. Back at my truck, we began to eat. The meat was well-seasoned but quite dry, possibly overcooked. The torta bread was tough and difficult to chew. The Taco Macho was equally disappointing, with dry meat and an unusual flavor combination. The quesadillas were burnt on one side, which was presented facing down, and the burnt taste was unpleasant. Even our sodas were warm. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
