The 17 Best Sinaloan Restaurants in Los Angeles | Eater LA

"The pandemic closed taquero Joshi Coronel’s physical location, but the embers still burn bright at his Mazatlán-style carne asada trailer in Fontana, ablaze in flame graphics. Chorreadas come on sopes (thick tortillas) liberally brushed with asiento (unrefined lard), and gooey, melted cheese to adhere fat chunks of mesquite-grilled top sirloin to the base. Treat yourself to a side of papa loca, a dish of twice-roasted potatoes layered with carne asada, chopped vegetables, melted cheese salsa, and cream for a classic steakhouse side dish, street-style." - Bill Esparza

Fast service. Food was good enough to comeback to for sure. Carne was a *little* on the saltier and greasy side but overall had a good flavor. My torta de al pastor had really good flavor too; the dark red sauce definitely added great flavor to it.

Late one evening, after a family gathering, we decided to try some street tacos. A quick online search led us to Taqueria Mazatlan. Knowing "taqueria" signifies a taco specialty, we gave it a try. I ordered two tacos and a Taco Macho, while my friends ordered a torta and some quesadillas. While we weren't expecting fine dining, we waited about fifteen minutes before our order was taken, despite the absence of a line or other customers. It then took another twenty minutes for our food to arrive. Back at my truck, we began to eat. The meat was well-seasoned but quite dry, possibly overcooked. The torta bread was tough and difficult to chew. The Taco Macho was equally disappointing, with dry meat and an unusual flavor combination. The quesadillas were burnt on one side, which was presented facing down, and the burnt taste was unpleasant. Even our sodas were warm. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

Made the mistake to come here 1st and last time I come, not only i paid over $30 dollars for 10 tacos but also got charge for grilled onions and half of jalapeño that was already bad due to the heat. Customer service also horrible seems like everyone there have bad attitudes and just stare at you when getting salsa and not to mention all the extras like salsas, lemon are far from being fresh looked like the salsas were never changed or had been there for days I literally had to stopped at a grocery store to buy salsa and limes for my tacos. overall very bad experience and waste of $42 dollars for 10 tacos, you're better of going to taco bell.

1st time and last time I go, I really like tacos and never Have I been Charged for Grill onions ever, especially when I order 2 Tacos and it comes out to $7 and still don’t get my grill onions that I was charged, had to ask for them even though I got charged for them Say What. Had me all worry that I was gonna get charge for Lemon and Salsa. Dang, had me all tripping didn’t see that coming. The thing that made it worst guy was giving me attitude, so Dont recommend this place better spots down the St.

Disappointing trip. The food was below average. Not what I expected from this place. The atmosphere was functional. Service was something special. The server first dropped the rice on my lap. Rare, but these things happen. Not holding that against her. It took longer than expected to replace it and still a delay for the main course. I was mostly forgotten after that.

Tried them out at Mars Brewery. Great tacos and great service. Prices were more than fair. Highly recommend!
